Abstract

This study investigates the Massamper Putri musical tradition as a cultural medium for internalizing religious moderation within the multireligious community of the Sangihe Islands, Indonesia. This research is important because it highlights local cultural practices as effective, lived approaches to fostering interreligious harmony beyond formal religious instruction. Using a qualitative ethnographic method, data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with performers, cultural leaders, and interfaith figures, as well as documentation of performances and musical scores. The findings show that the musical structure of Massamper Putri—characterized by responsorial singing, four-part vocal harmony, lyrical repetition, and participatory tempo—creates an inclusive and egalitarian social space. The lyrics convey universal spiritual values such as gratitude, togetherness, and respect, enabling participation across religious boundaries. This study concludes that Massamper Putri functions as a form of lived religious moderation that strengthens social cohesion in a multireligious society.

Abstract

Arabic language competence is essential in pesantren education for understanding classical texts, engaging in religious discourse, and academic communication. Despite emphasis on grammar and translation, many students lack active speaking skills (mahārah al-kalām). This study examines the implementation of the muhādatsah method at Sunan Drajat Islamic Boarding School, Lamongan, analyzing student responses and its impact on speaking skills. Using a qualitative classroom action research design over two cycles with third-semester students, speaking performance was assessed via a rubric covering fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and communicative confidence. Data were collected through observations, interviews, field notes, and pre- and post-assessments, analyzed descriptively with simple score comparisons. Findings indicate that systematic muhādatsah practice improved fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, and confidence, fostering engagement. Despite small sample size and context-specific limitations, muhādatsah is effective for enhancing Arabic speaking skills in pesantren contexts.

Abstract

This study analyzes the educational services marketing model in improving the brand image of the Al Ikhlash Lampoko Modern at Islamic Boarding School. This type of research is qualitative with a grounded theory approach. Data sources are the leadership of the foundation, the boarding school, teachers, staff, and students. Data analysis is carried out through five systematic stages, namely problem formulation, theoretical review, data collection, analysis, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that educational services marketing is carried out in an integrated manner, utilizing digital technology through social media and websites, as well as direct marketing support through social activities and interpersonal communication. This strategy effectively strengthens the brand image with targeted geographic, demographic, and psychographic market segmentation. Digital marketing has been proven to expand the reach of the Islamic boarding school, support external recognition, and increase public trust through an emphasis on character education and student skill development. Regular evaluation is essential to maintain the sustainability of service quality.

Abstract

This study examines the handling of child sexual abuse cases at the Enrekang District Attorney's Office from the perspective of Islamic education. Using a qualitative approach, data is collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation to evaluate the effectiveness of law enforcement. The results of the study show that the handling of the case has been in accordance with the applicable legal provisions and procedures, but still faces obstacles in proof, especially when the perpetrator has a close relationship with the victim or limited physical evidence. Islamic religious education plays an important role as a preventive effort through strengthening moral values and collective responsibility from an early age, which requires the involvement of families, communities, schools, law enforcement officials, and local governments. This study emphasizes the need for periodic evaluations to strengthen inter-institutional coordination, monitor victims' psychological recovery, and assess the effectiveness of family, school, and community-based prevention.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of information and communication technology (ICT) applications in the management and educational activities of Pondok Pesantren Al Ikhlas Lahat Tanjung Sakti, South Sumatra. The research aims to analyze how digitalization processes support the improvement of administrative effectiveness, learning quality, and institutional management in the context of Islamic boarding schools. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the application of ICT has transformed various aspects of pesantren management—particularly in communication, documentation, and the delivery of educational materials. However, challenges such as limited digital literacy among teachers and infrastructure constraints remain obstacles to full digital transformation. The study concludes that ICT adoption in pesantren environments can foster transparency, efficiency, and innovation when supported by human resource development and institutional policy alignment.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of an integrated curriculum in Islamic Education at Al Ma'arif Elementary School in Merauke Regency. The problem addressed is how Islamic values are integrated into the curriculum, as well as the challenges and supporting factors in its implementation. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the integrated curriculum at the school and analyze the factors that support and hinder its implementation. The method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving interviews, observations, and documentation studies to collect data from the principal, vice principal of curriculum, teachers, and students. The results show that curriculum integration is carried out by linking subject matter with Islamic values, such as connecting science with the greatness of Allah SWT. The learning approach used involves discussion and practice, and teachers are expected to be role models in implementing Islamic values. However, there are several inhibiting factors, such as limited time, facilities, variations in student abilities, and limited teacher understanding of the integrated curriculum. The main supporting factors are the commitment of the principal and parental involvement in supporting religious education. This study implies that although the implementation of an integrated curriculum can strengthen students' religious understanding, challenges related to resources and differences in student abilities need to be addressed to achieve more effective implementation.
