Abstract

The Indonesian language is an agglutinative language which has complex suffixes and affixes attached on its root. For this reason there is a high possibility to recognize Indonesian speech based on its syllables. The syllable-based Indonesian speech recognition could reduce the database and recognize new Indonesian vocabularies which evolve as the result of language development. MFCC and WPT daubechies 3rd (DB3) and 7th (DB7) order methods are used in feature extraction process and HMM with Euclidean distance probability is applied for classification. The results shows that the best recognition rateis 75% and 70.8% for MFCC and WPT method respectively, which come from the testing using training data test. Meanwhile, for testing using external data test WPT method excel the MFCC method, where the best recognition rate is 53.1% for WPT and 47% for MFCC. For MFCC the accuracy increased asthe data length and the frame length increased. In WPT, the increase in accuracy is influenced by the length of data, type of the wavelet and decomposition level. It is also found that as the variation of state increased the recognition for both methods decreased.

Abstract

Object tracking is defined as the problem of estimating object location in image sequences. In general, the problems of object tracking in real time and complex environtment are affected by many uncertainty. In this research we use a sequensial Monte Carlo method, known as particle filter, to build an object tracking algorithm. Particle filter, due to its multiple hypotheses, is known to be a robust method in object tracking task. The performances of particle filter is defined by how the particles distributed. The role of distribution is regulated by the system model being used. In this research, a modified system model is proposed to manage particles distribution to achieve better performance. Object representation also plays important role in object tracking. In this research, we combine color histogram and texture from Local Binary Pattern Histogram Fourier (LBPHF) operator as feature in object tracking. Our experiments show that the proposed system model delivers a more robust tracking task, especially for objects with sudden changes in speed and direction. The proposed joint feature is able to capture object with changing shape and has better accuracy than single feature of color or joint color texture from other LBP variants.

Abstract

Power system stabilizer (PSS) and flexible AC transmission system (FACTS) damping controller to improve the stability of the power system has been widely used. A coordinated control method based on the combined computational evolutionary theory is proposed to overcome some of damping controllers simultaneously so as to keep the allowable level of power system damping. It works by making full use of favorable interaction between the controlling and minimizing adverse interactions so that the power system oscillations can be suppressed effectively. Proportional integral derivative (PID) controller tuning based power system stabilizer types PSS3B (PIDPSS3B), static var compensator (SVC) and automatic voltage regulator (AVR) presented in this paper. PID controller gain parameters such as proportional, integral factor, differential coefficient and get AVR selected and optimized by BF-PSOTVAC. The integral time absolut error (ITAE) standards of optimization design as objective function. The results of simulations show that performance index of system the proposed method is 42.7890. The BF-PSOTVAC method has the capability to damping optimally and suppresses error to minimum.

Abstract

This paper describes: a scenario, agent specification, mapping of knowledge domain, an implementation of Bloom's taxonomy-based serious game (BoTySeGa), and players' response against the game. The development of BoTySeGa is pursued to the availability of an alternative assessment tool for learning in elementary school. It considers aspects: game knowledge, subject matter of parallelogram for 5th grade elementary school learners, and cognitive domain of Bloom's taxonomy. BoTySeGa's level of challenge is structured accommodates cognitive domain of Bloom for elementary school learners (knowledge, comprehension, application). To make sure that all functions and features work well; we conducted user acceptance test against the game prototype. We also took players' response to BoTySeGa utilizing five-points Likert-type of questionnaire. The questions are distributed in 15 items. User acceptance testing involving 85 learners of 5th grade elementary school shows that BoTySeGa has fulfilled the learning assessment requirement. With the response score ranged from 5 to 75; it is found that the average score of players' response to the implementation of BoTySeGa in learning is 59.93. This response value falls within "Positive" category.

Abstract

The assistance program had not absorbed optimally yet for telematics Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). One of the reasons was the data of telematics MSME which still separated in the several institutions. This research aimed to selection of assistance feasibility attributes using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) based on National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) data. This data attributes conformed to the criteria of assistance feasibility which was implemented among by Ministry of Cooperative, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), and related institutions. The attributes involved the characteristic of technology, economics, human resources, partnerships, obstacles, prospect and other common conditions. The process of data preparation was needed involving cleaning, discretization, description and transformation of data. The AHP technique aimed to produce rankings and the value of attributes. The finding of this research showed that start-up essence and technology factors became the crucial attributes in the feasibility assessment. The other factors were the economy, human resources, partnerships and development planning. The findings of this research had given the new innovations; in addition of the scope of related substance Telematics Service MSMEs which was still studied limitedly, and the selection technique of assessment feasibility attributes based on Susenas data.
