Abstract

Problem of this research aims to describe the Attempts of teachers Counselor handle Discipline problems at SMP Negeri 23 Padang, purpose of the study is 1). Describing of the Attempts of teachers Counselor handle minor Discipline problems students at SMP Negeri 23 Padang. 2) Describing of the Attempts of teachers Counselor handle moderate  Discipline problems students at SMP Negeri 23 Padang and 3). Describing of the Attempts of teachers Counselor handle hard Discipline problems students at SMP Negeri 23 Padang.The type of this research is classified as descriptive research. The study population is all students of SMP Negeri 23 Padang. This research used stratified random sampling. After obtained it results was found 88 samples. Data analysis used the percentage formula. Results of research conducted can be described as follows: 1) Attempts teacher counselor in handling minor disciplinary problems of students included in both categories with a percentage of 67%.2). Attempts teacher counselor in handling moderate disciplinary problems of students included in both categories with a percentage of 68%.3) Attempts teacher counselor in handling hard disciplinary problems of students included in both categories with a percentage of 63%. From this Researchers hope that further enhance the students discipline in the school environment and teachers seeking guidance counselor also helped learners particular discipline often problematic either problem in the category of mild, moderate or hard.

Abstract

Teens are growing teenagers who can adapt to the times that more and more advanced. Essentially the current era of globalization has made significant changes have occurred and moral degradation and social culture that tends to deviant behavior pattern. Social behavior is rejected by the group as a result of the influence of self-concept that is not true in adolescents and the influence of foreign cultures that are not controlled by some teenagers. Outside cultural influences swallowed whole by teenagers without known far beyond the cultural values without responsibility. Bright spots that human life begins at the simplicity of it has been beneficial to facilitate all aspects of life called technology. Abstract

This research is motivated by the planning guidance and counseling program conduct counselor. Based on the initial survey found a tutor is not planning guidance and counseling programs to suit the needs of learners (need assessment). This study aimed to look at how planning guidance and counseling program conducted by the counselor at the SMP Negeri Kecamatan Mungka Kabupaten 50 Kota, with the limitation of the research problems are: 1) The form of the preparation of planning guidance and counseling program conducted by the counselor views of learners needs 2) form of planning guidance and counseling program conducted by the counselor views of determination means, personnel / division of labor. This type of research is qualitative research. This study takes a guidance counselor at SMP Negeri Kecamatan Mungka Kabupaten 50 Kota as research informants. The Data were collected through interviews and documentation of the planning guidance and counseling program. The findings of the study revealed that planning guidance and counseling program conducted by the counselor is still lacking, due to the lack of existing infrastructure in schools, lack of creativity in finding a tutor learner needs, the lack of instrumentation applications that are used to determine the needs of the students and lack of support from school personnel in planning guidance and counseling program. Based on the research results to the counselor recommended interested parties will be expected to be able to use instrumentation application guidance and counseling to determine the needs of the students in planning a program appropriate guidance and counseling needs of the students, are expected to renew a program that fits the needs of learners every year, and personnel in the school are expected to be working in planning guidance and counseling programs to suit the needs of learners.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the problem of students based on the results of sociometry unpopular class XI in SMA N 2 Bayang Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan of the issue of personal views of the lack of discipline, still childish, self esteem, lack of confidence to the class, the social problems seen from stiff in the mix, enjoys less criticism of others, less socializing in the classroom, lack of self-control and irritable, interact with friends in class. The purpose of this study was to: (1) describe the personal problems of learners unpopular based on sociometry (2) describe the social problems of students based on the results of sociometry unpopular. This research is a descriptive study. The population in this study was based on the results of learner’s unpopular sociometry XI classes totaling 50 people. This study uses total sampling. So the total sample of 50 people. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire. While the percentage of use data analysis techniques. Based on the research findings recommended: (1) counselor and parents to equally provide support and cooperation in order to assist and provide guidance to students unpopular in the face of his problems (2) Department of Education Painan Pesisir Selatan to consider issues learners in order to resolved unpopular and work together with BK teachers so that it can good social relations at school and objectives can be achieved optimally education.

Abstract

The problems that exist in this students is how the image of motivation of learners to participate in education in junior Sand Ganting. Dilator research background by several things including learners often come late to school, often unplug / truant during the process of learning and not do the work, often noisier when lessons take place, no matter who criticize the teacher so many students live classes and finally the students are not longer in school. In addition, the students were allowed to work by the parents rather than the school. So, they prefer to work rather than take part in education. It is based on the lack of motivation of the learner, such as interest, attention and perseverance, while the external self-learners, such as school environment, family and community environment.This students aimed to describe the motivation of learners to participate in education at Sub Junior Ganting Sand Problem strike the South Coastal District as seen from within the individual (intrinsic) and external views of the individual (extrinsic) type of research is research in population and descriptive. Number of sample of 63 people. Means of data collection in this student was a questionnaire, and data analysis techniques in this study using a percentage formula. The results revealed a picture of motivation of learners to participate in education in terms of intrinsic criteria are at high (68.8%) and had increased again and the motivation of learners to participate in education in terms of extrinsic criteria for arriving at a high (58.7%). So,the motivation of learners to participate in education in junior high category Ganting sand.Based on the findings of the study suggested the supervising teacher and all teachers, especially to parents positive can provide encouragement to students, so that motivation is in self-learners can be improved because of the encouragement given to students can be improved, because the impetus given to learners want to learn more passion and motivation to improve the education that comes from the individual.

Abstract

Based on observations and interviews that researchers do in the field that information obtained: the learners who behave like stray in and out of class at the PBM process takes place, hanging out in the cafeteria and violated school discipline. The purpose of this study was to describe: 1) The role of counselor in preventing deviant behavior of students in Junior High School 2 Bayang Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. 2) The teachers role in tackling misbehavior BK learners in SMP Negeri 2 Bayang Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. This research is a descriptive study that systematically describes and actual research about the state of the object. The study population was all students in SMP Negeri 2 Bayang, amounting to 602 people. Techniques used in sampling, is stratified random sampling where the number of samples in each stratum is proportional to the number of members of the population in each class population. So, the total sample of 86 people. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire while the percentage of data analysis techniques used. Based on the results of the study researchers suggest to teachers BK, in order to provide guidance and counseling services in order to alleviate problems related to student misconduct. Principal participate in support services BK held by BK teachers at school. For guidance counseling courses, as input and suggestions, and to guide future research compiled.

Abstract

The students’ aims to examine the factors that influence smoking behavior of students at SMA Negeri 12 Padang, by describing the following factors 1). Factors influence parental attention in smoking behavior of students in 12 high schools in Padang. 2). Factor of peer influence on smoking behavior of students at SMA Negeri 12 Padang, 3). Personality factors influence the smoking behavior of students at SMA Negeri 12 Padang and 4) tobacco advertising influence factors in smoking behavior of students at SMA Negeri 12 Padang. This research is a descriptive study. The study population was all students of SMA Negeri 12 Padang in the academic year 2011/2012 who smokes. Total sampling techniques sampling as many as 36 people. Source of data used are primary data obtained from the respondents surveyed are learners. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire. As for the use of data analysis techniques percentage. The results of this study can be described as follows: 1) factors influence parental attention to smoking behavior of students at SMA Negeri 12 Padang is included in many categories, namely the average percentage of 68.56%, 2) factors influence the behavior of peers smoking students in 12 high schools in Padang is included in many categories, namely with an average percentage of 68.43%, 3) personality factors influence the smoking behavior of students at SMA Negeri 12 Padang is included in many categories, namely the percentage average of 68.44% and 5) factors influence tobacco advertising in smoking behavior of students at SMA Negeri 12 Padang is included in many categories, namely with an average percentage of 71.30%. This means that: Factors that influence the smoking behavior of students at SMA Negeri 12 Padang included in many categories. Based on the above results the authors suggest to parents and teachers in schools to provide information about the dangers of smoking to the learners.

Abstract

The problem of this research is how the application and counseling teacher profile in organizing the counseling teacher program guidance and counseling at SMP Negeri Linggo Sari Baganti. This research is caused by the counseling teacher who not make counseling planning program for semester or year. This research has purposes to describe the counseling teacher in organizing planning program at SMP Negeri Linggo Sari Baganti. This research is descriptive research. The population on of this research is the counseling teacher at SMP Negeri Linggo Sari Baganti who consist is counseling teacher because the population  100, so all of the population are used as sample by using total sampling. In collecting the data the researcher used a instrumentation is questioner and the data are analyzed by using presentation form. The finding of this research is the counseling  at SMP Negeri Linggo Sari Baganti, as follow: (1) The planning program of counseling have good criteria, (2) The activity of counseling have enough good criteria, (3)  In doing evaluation about the activity counseling teacher program have less good criteria, (4) In doing next step of the counseling program have less criteria. Based on the result of this research above the researcher suggests to the counseling teacher can keep  the process of organizing counseling planning and activity program that have good criteria, like the planning and activity program. In addition, the counseling teacher can more improve her the application  in doing 1) evaluation and 2) check again the counseling program, so the activity of counseling will run well in the future.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the efforts of teachers and teacher of subject to increase the interest of learners in the learning process in SMP Pertiwi 2 Padang, namely: 1) Describing of students learning interest in following learning process, 2) Efforts of supervisor to improve students’ learning interest in following learning process and, 3) Efforts of subject teachers to improve students’ learning interest in following learning process. This research is a descriptive research. This research takes most studenst of class VII, VIII and IX classes representing at every level in Junior high school Pertiwi 2 Padang which is served as research subjects. In this research, the researcher uses non-test instruments in collecting the data and it is done by using questionnaires. Sample is taken by using Stratified Simple Random Sampling. Analysis of the data is done by using a percentage formula. Results of the research can be described as follows: 1). Describing of students’ learning interest in following in following learning process are included into the unfavorable category with an average percentage of 48.74%,2). Efforts of supervisor to improve students’ learning interest in following learning process are included into good category with an average percentage of 45.82%, and 3). Efforts of subject teachers to improve students’ learning interest infollowing learning process are included into good category with an average percentage of 55.05%. in conclusion, the efforts of supervisor and subject teachers to increase students’ interest in learning process are included into good category. A recommendation from the result of this research is to improve students’ learning interest in following learning process. As well as a supervisor and subject teachers to pay more attention towards students’ learning interenst in following learning process in order to realize educational goals optimally.

Abstract

The problem in this research is how the conselor skill in using personal counseling techniques at junior high school 10 in Padang. The purpose of this research is to describe about: (1) counselor skill in reception of client while counseling, (2) the counselor skill in having empathy toward client while counseling, (3) the counselor technique in giving available questions toward the client while conseling. Kind of this research is descriptive research. Sample in this research is the students at SMP 10 Negeri Padang who ever follow the personal conseling that to amount to 38 persons. The technique of data colecting in this research is purpose sampling tehnique. the instrument that used to colect the data is questionnaire. The data treated by using presentation technique. The findings of this research are:  (1) the skill of the counselor in receiving the client is as many as 20 students, where the percentage of suitable category is 52.63%. (2) the skill of counselor in having empathy to amount to 19 students included verry good with persentage 50%. (3) the counselor skill in giving available question to amount to 23 students included into suitable category is 60.53%. Based on this research finding that recommended for counselors’ school, so that will be able to improve the ability in doing personal counseling that related with their techniques.
