Abstract

The background is research was conducted due to the students’ lowunderstanding of mathematics concept and their inability to express ideas andanswer the questions given. The aim of this research was to reveal whether themathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by applyingcooperative learning model sending greeting technique and question was betterthan that of students taught by applying conventional learning in class VIII ofSMPN 6 Lembah Gumanti. This was an experimental research wich saturatedsampling. The population of the research was the students in class VIII of SMPN6 Lembah Gumanti registered in academic year 2013/2014. The instrument of theresearch was an pre test and post test group whose. Based on the result of dataanalysis by using t-test of direction two, it was found that the value of= 10,13 was higher than     = 2,03 indicating that the mathematicsconceptual understanding of the students taught by applying cooperative learningmodel sending greeting technique and question was better than that of studentstaught by applying conventional learning in class VIII of SMPN 6 LembahGumanti.

Abstract

The background of this research is that the students were passive and afraid toexplore their opinion and ideas that they have and their math conceptunderstanding was low. The aim of this research was to find out is the students’learning activity during the implementation of corporate identity technique betterthan the implementation of convention technique at the seventh grade students ofSMPN 1 Koto Salak. The design of this research is experimental research design.Based on the analysis of observation sheets, the students’ learning activitiesimproved. The result of hypothesis testing by using t-test supported by MINITABsoftware shown that the P-value = 0,002 smaller than = 0, 05. Therefore, itcan be learning activities of students in the experimental class of the first meetingup to five experiencing have developmental activities and the students’ mathconcept understanding of seventh grade students of SMPN 1 Koto Salak improvedby implementing corporate identity technique in teaching learning process ofmath.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the students have difficulty in understanding theconcept of learning material. Therefore, the teacher should use the teaching aims inteaching learning process that can be guidance the student to study alone and it can makethe student become easy in understanding the concepts of learning material. Media whichcan be used such as interactive CD that is developed by using application macromediaflash. This research aims to know the validity and practicality interactive CD that usedmacromedia flash in Geometry material. The kind of this research is developing researchthat used 4-D model which consists of 4 steps to define, design, develop and disseminatethat explaine. In this research, the steps of the research is limited until develop model, thatconsist of validity and practicality. In short, the researcher concluded that interactive CDthat used macromedia flash in Geometry material in teaching math at SMAN 13 grade XPadang is categorized valid and practice.

Abstract

This research based on the student comprehension of mathematical concept still lower. This matter seen at result learn class student mathematics of IX SMPN 2 Bayang School Year 2014 / 2015. This type of this research is experiment. Research with random sampling techniques. Population in this research is all class student of IX SMPN 2 Bayang school year 2014 /2015. The selected class of sampel is IX2 as experiment class and of IX4 as control class. Instrument used in this research is the tes of understanding of mathematical concept. Form of tes the used is form of essay with reliabilitas test is r11 = 0,924. Technique analys data used in this test is t. According to result of data analysis known that both class of sampel have normal distribution and is homogeneous at real level = 0,05. Result of hypothesis test obtained by t =3,06 and ttable=1,67 hence hypothesis at this research is accepted. So that can be concluded that student understanding of mathematical concept by applying study is Cooperative Type Numbered Heads better than student understanding of mathematical concept with conventional study in class of IX SMPN 2 Bayang.

Abstract

This research was motivated by student who cannot share their knowledge well and lack of comprehension of mathematical concept. The purpose of this research is to know about does Active knowledge sharing strategy influential toward student’s comprehension mathematical concept. Kind of this research is pre-experiment by pre-test and post-test group design. Population in this research is junior high school student’s class VIII of SMPN 17 Padang on academic year 2014/ 2015 that consist of seven classes. Technique sample of this research is random sampling, the sample is VIII4 class. The instrument in this research is comprehension mathematical concept test, that is pre-test and post-test with essay questions. Technique analysis data in this research use uji- and get and with, so and can concluded that there is influence of Active Knowledge sharing strategy toward student’s comprehension mathematical concept class VIII of SMPN 17 Padang.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the students understanding of mathematicalconcepts are still low and the student receives only a summary of the results of theteacher without trying to find themselves the results summarized. This is evidentfrom the results of learning mathematics class VII student enrolled in the classVIII MTsN Gurun Panjang of the school year 2014/2015. The study aims todetermine whether the active learning techniques Reflection Rotation effect on theunderstanding of mathematical concepts eighth grade students MTsN GurunPanjang. The study was pre-experimental research, the research design of pretestand post-test. The subjects were all eighth grade students MTsN GurunPanjang 2014/2015 academic year consisting of one class. Research instrument isa test of understanding of mathematical concepts. The form of the test used is innarrative form with divaliditas by the teacher. Hypothesis test used was a twowayt-test, the value t = 24.98 and t(α/2) = 2.07 Hypothesis accepted because t >t(α/2) so that the hypothesis is accepted at the significance level α = 0.05. It canbe concluded that there are significant active learning with the EngineeringRotation Reflection on understanding mathematical concepts grade students VIIIMTsN Gurun Panjang .

Abstract

The background of the research was about the importance of teaching material in learning process.The expected teaching material was the teaching material that proposes the real problem in thebeginning of learning involving the students to build a concept so that the students were able to studyindependently. Therefore, it was made a teaching material in the form of a realistic-based work bookfor the triangle and rectangle material on the seventh grade of Public Junior High School 17 Padang.The research was to know the validity and practice of the realistic-based work book. The type of theresearch was the development by using 4-D model. 4-D model consists of 4 stages of development,i.e. 1) define, 2) design, 3) develop, and 4) disseminate. The research was only conducted into threestages, i.e. define stage, design stage, and develop stage. The validity test result of realistic-based workbook of very valid criteria was 85,88%. The student practical test result of very practical category was95.66%. Meanwhile, the teacher practical test result was 85.00%. It can be concluded that the realisticbasedwork book was valid and practical.

Abstract

result in Public Junior High School 2 Batang Anai is low. The aims of theresearch to know whether the student’s Math concept understanding applying theactive learning strategy of True and False statement type is better than student’sMath concept understanding applying the conventional learning or not. The typeof the research is experimental research. The population is all of the students ofVIII grade of Public Junior High School 2 Batang Anai in academic year2013/2014 and the random sampling technique is used, in which the samplingclasses are VIIIA and VIIIC. The instrument is Math concept understanding test.The test is in the form of essay with the test reliability 0,86. The techniqueof data analysis used is applying one way t test. Based on the hypothesis test, it isfound that and Because of thehypothesis on the research is accepted. It can be concluded that the student’s Mathconcept understanding applying the active learning strategy of True and Falsestatement type is better than student’s Math concept understanding applying theconventional learning.

Abstract

The background of this research is base on book activity (LKS) that used by theteacher still low in guiding low in guiding students to kind the concept ok math.Students is still low to understandmaterial about quadrilateral plane. It needs todevelop book activity (LKS) which can guide studentsdireetly and actively in kindingthe concept of learning. The purpose of this research is developing book activity(LKS) base on guided diacovery in validly and practicaly in quadrilateral planesubjeer. In designing this research, the researcher used four-D as modeldevelopment. There are four steps was done. Those are definision, designing,developing, and disseminate. The validator of this research arecectutes and teachers.The result of this research showed that book activity (LKS) base on guided discoveryin quadrilateral plane subject was valid and practice base on category.

Abstract

The background of the research is the need of teaching material in the learning process. The teaching materials expected is the teaching material that is able to guide the students to study independently, to be understood easily and to have a communicative language to the students and to increase the ability of student’s problem-solving. The research aims to know the validity and practicalities of problem-based module. The type of the research is the development by using ADDIE model. ADDIE model consists of 5 stages, i.e. analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The module produced is categorized into very valid by validator for its content, language, presentation, and graph with the final result, i.e. 83 %. The module produced is also categorized very practical by the teacher with the final result, i.e. 89 % and categorized by the students with the final result, i.e. 92 % for its easiness, time, equivalence, and interpretation.
