Abstract

PT Surya TOTO Indonesia Tbk, the Beauty-related industries such as home kitchen, the bathroomis a company in the field of sanitary and furniture which was established in 1977 inJakarta. This study aimed to test the depth of the effect of the delivery, installation, and warrantyclaims against TOTO customer satisfaction. This study was conducted in Jakarta onIndustry TOTO. The respondents are 124 customers who purchase the products of bathroomfixtures and kitchen with installation directly from the company of TOTO. It was conductedin mid-2013, and the data collection technique was using primary data processed by the applicationof SPSS version 20.0 for Windows. The analysis used linear regression analysis tomeasure how much the variable delivery, installation and warranty claims can affect customersatisfaction. The research hypothesis is found that there is a significant positive effectof delivery, installation and warranty claims TOTO products on customer satisfaction. Theresults of multiple linear regression analysis showed that there was also effect of the delivery,installation and warranty claims TOTO effect on customer satisfaction. Warranty claimsis the independent variable that is the most dominant influence on customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This research explains one of the factors that sales promotion, brand image and perceived values which felt with intervening variable word of mouth against the customers decision using of credit card bank CIMB Niaga. Questioner distributed to 120 respondents in Surabaya and surrounding areas. Data analyzed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) used to analyze the relationship between the variables examined. The result shows that variable sales promotion, brand image have a positive impact to the decision of the customers , while brand image also have a positive impact against wom in influencing the decision of the customers, but WOM has negative impact against decision to used credit card.

Abstract

GCG is interesting topic to be scrutinized. In this case, corporate governance system canprovide effective protection for stockholder and stakeholders, thus they can have confidencein return of investment. This study tries to analyze the impact of GCG toward profitabilityratios and bank stock performance. Samples of this study are banking companies listed inIndonesia Stock Exchange. Purposive sampling was used as sampling technique. Twenty sixcompanies were obtained by using several criterions as listed in IDX during 2008, no corporateaction which can change theoretical price in 2008 and complete data was available.GCG, ROA, ROE, NIM, stock return and PER was variable which studied in this research.Regression technique used to analyze the data. The research result shows that GCG havesignificant positive impact on ROA, ROE, NIM and PER. GCG doesnt have significant impacttoward stock return. It can be implied that investor access toward GCG implementationinformation in listed banking company must be widened and the capital market authoritiesshall conduct a regulation that forces public company to disclose GCG implementation

Abstract

This research analyzes and explains the application of conventional taxi marketing strategy of Blue Bird in face of online application based transportation competition in Surabaya Indonesia. This research uses qualitative phenomenological approach. Data were collected from the operational and marketing managers of Blue Bird taxi (1 person), the driver (10 persons), and customer (10 people). To obtain complete information has been done observation, documentation, and interviews with open questions. The results show that Blue Bird's taxi marketing strategy consists of services, prices, distribution, promotion, people, physical evidence and processes that can impact on the company's performance is still not running well in the face of competition of online application-based transportation services. In terms of distribution strategies, people, physical evidence, and processes have been excellent but in product strategy, service, pricing, and promotional strategies are still in a weak condition. The implication of this research is that Blue Bird companies can improve their service innovation primarily on technology aspects, and then lower tariffs for consumers, and lastly use the internet medium to improve efficiency and cheaper than others so as to compete with online-based applications transportation services in Surabaya.

Abstract

The relationship between management's interest as an agent and company owner's interest as a principal sometimes can be different, in which it is familiar to Agency Problems. In addition, business innovations have been created to increase or creating value of the firm and reducing the agency problems, for example the Employee Stock Option Program (ESOP) to solve the problem. This research tries to analyze the application of ESOP and its influence toward the market's reaction and the corporate performance around its announcement to public in January 1, 2006 - December 31, 2007. To analyze the market's reaction, researcher use event study method, and ROA, ROE, TATO, EPS, PER, NPM, and Sales Growth (SG) for the company's performance. Next, it analyzes the market's reaction around its announcement with one sample t-test and uses eleven days as event windows (t-5 until t+5). For the corporate performance, researcher wes paired samples t-test, special for the corporate performance, with two steps. The first step is to compare the indicators of company's performance one year before its anouncement and one year after, and the second step is to compare the indicators of company's performance one year before its announcement and two year after. The results of this research show that there is no positive significant abnormal return around its announcement, and for the company's performance after its announcement, in general, not higher than company's performance before the announcement.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to examine the effect of saving motives, competency, and positive experience on insurance purchasing decision with the intention to purchase as a mediating variable. The study took 295 respondents which were taken based on the criteria such as having insurance and being a decision maker to buy insurance and living in Surabaya, Gresik, and Tuban. The data were analyzed using a Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) by using PLS 6.0 program. The results showed that saving motives, competency and positive experience have a significant positive effect on insurance purchasing decision, while the inclination to purchase can mediate the effect of competency and positive experience on insurance purchasing decision.

Abstract

Nowadays Investors often make investment decision irrationally. The decision is often based on their judgment that is far away from rational assumption. When investors face risky situation, there are some objectivities, emotions, and other psychological factors that usually effecttheir decision making. This purpose of study is to examine the effect of experienced regret, risk tolerance, overconfidence and risk perception on investment decision making among lecturers in economics studies in Surabaya. Sample of this study is the lecturers of the economics studies in Universities in Surabaya who are also the investors. This study usedpurposive, convenience and snow-ball sampling method. There are 72 respondents taken from questionnaire by survey method. To test hypotheses, this study employs descriptive analysis and multiple regression analysis. Moreover, by performing multiple regression analysis, this study found that only risk tolerance and risk perception have significant effect on investment decision making, but experienced regret, and overconfidence do not.

Abstract

Business development is needed to increase its competitive advantage. In business development, the companies can do a business combination through mergers and acquisitions. Mergers and acquisitions are expected to improve intellectual capital performance. Apart from improving the performance of the company, it is also expected to increase their company performance. This study aims to examine and analyze difference in intellectual capital performance and company performance 1 year before and 1-4 years after mergers and acquisitions. The objects in this study are all companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange and do mergers and acquisitions in 2011-2014. The data analysis technique used is the Wilcoxon test. The results of this study found that mergers and acquisitions made the performance of intellectual capital and company performance decline. This is because when a company merges and admits, the management who manages cannot directly use the intellectual capital they have, but must study it in order to be able to use it. Therefore, it takes time to be able to synergize it so that the performance of intellectual capital will be better. The deteriorating performance of intellectual capital shows the added value that can be created by the company to make profits worse, which will make the company's performance also decreased.

Abstract

Nowadays, the economy has been growing so rapidly that it makes people think of get-ting their income beyond the salary they get from their work. One way to get it is by investing. However, when investing, they find a few things to note such as financial literacy, investment experience, and risk tolerance. This is to minimize the risks as we accept, for example scams. This purpose of study is to examine the effect of financial lite-racy, experienced regret, and risk tolerance on investment decision making among socie-ty in Surabaya and Madura. This study used purposive, convenience and snow-ball sampling method. There were 185 respondents taken by questionnaire and survey me-thod. To test the hypotheses, this study employed descriptive analysis and multiple re-gression analysis. Moreover, by performing multiple regression analysis, this study found that only the experienced regret have significant effect on investment decision making, but risk tolerance and overconfidence did not affect the investment decision.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyse the influence of financial performance toward bond rating of banking industry in the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The financial performance variables examined in this study include liquidity, profitability, capitalization, and asset quality. The Sample was selected using purposive sampling method. Populations of this research were taken from the banks, listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2011-2015. The total population was 42 banks and only 10 of them meet the criteria. The data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis to test the hypothesis. The results of the research show that profitability has a positive influence to the bond rating, while liquidity, capitalization, and asset quality has a negative influence to the bond rating. This study imply that banks need to improve their profitabilities while maintaining their liquity risk, capital level and asset quality in order to enhance their bond ratings.
