Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference in average math student learning outcomes obtained using systematic problem solving learning strategies with average math student learning outcomes obtained using expository teaching strategy. The population in this study is the first semester of class X  SMK Islam Adiluwih 2015-2016 school year, amounting to 137 people and is divided into five classes. The results of the data analysis test two parties at significant level 5% results obtained thitung = 3.66 and ttable = 1.99, which means there are differences in the average math student learning outcomes obtained using systematic learning strategy problem expository solving strategies. Then the t-test data analysis of the parties with a significant level of 5% obtained thitung = 3.66 and ttable = 1.67, which means the average student learning outcomes obtained using systematic problem solving learning strategy is better than expository teaching strategy.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of mathematics learning by hypnoteaching on student achievement in the subject of geometry II. This research used quantitative approach and including a quasi-experimental research because it is not possible to control all the variables that affect the dependent variable. Population in this study were all students of sixth semester in third grade mathematics department FPMIPA IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro. Sample in this study were obtained by simple random sampling. Documentation methods used to retrieve data final exam and test techniques are used to determine students achievement in the subject geometry II. Whereas for data analysis techniques in this study using several statistical tests, among others, the prerequisite test were normality test using Liliefors and homogeneity test with f test, and balance testing with two-tailed t-test and hypothesis using one tailed t-test. After conducting research and analysis with one tailed t test on students learning achievement on the geometry subject can be concluded that hypnoteaching learning gives better achievement than direct instruction. So it can be concluded that the hypothesis presented by researchers indicate that learning hypnoteaching gives a better achievement than the direct instruction.

Abstract

In mathematics, there are some mathematical ability to be possessed by learners and educators. Among them is a mathematical representation capability and the ability of mathematical proofs. Where the ability of the mathematical representation is a mathematical abilities with the disclosure of mathematical ideas (problems, statements, definitions, etc.) in various ways. In mathematics, a proof is a series of logical arguments that explain the truth of a statement. While the method of proof is developed aiming to improve the ability to understand the evidence, and do (proving) a mathematical statement.

Abstract

The learning model which is applied by the teacher, so far, was assumed uneffective in increasing students’ learning achievement, especially, on the subject of counting wide trapezium and kite. One of effort to overcome this problem was using mind mapping learning model with teaching media. This learning model asked the students to make or create their own two dimentional figure. the objective of the research was   to know the effectivity of mind mapping learning model using teaching media on the students of fifth grade SD Negeri 4 Watuagung. The population of the research was all of the students at fifth grade SD Negeri 4 Watuagung at the first semester in the academic year of 2015-2016. The number of the students were 30 students.Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that mind mapping learning model using teaching  media was able to make the learning process be more effective and  the students learning achievement which is involved the prosentage of teacher’s ability in the learning process 77.06%, students’ activity 78.81%, students’ response 76.25%, and if it was seen from students’ achievement based on  KKM 80.00%.

Abstract

This study aims to find the effect of using the traditional game of marbles to the understanding of the concept of length measurement. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental research. The study population was grade II SDN 8 Negeri Katon, Pesawaran. This study uses total sampling so that the two classes were used that II A and II B respectively numbered 31 people’s. Data collected by the test results of study and the data were analyzed with quantitative statistics. The results showed that there are significant differences in the understanding of measurement concepts between students who learn to use traditional game of marbles with students who learn by direct learning model. Understanding the concept of measuring the length of the student using the traditional game of marbles showed higher results than students who learn by direct learning model.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to develop teaching aids, to test the validity and practically teaching aids, and to test the effectiveness of learning process using CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, and Extending) model with metacognitive approach to improve the ability in Geometri problem solving. This research and development design is adapted from Plomp model by using several phases: (1) preliminary investigation; (2) design; (3) realization/construction; (4) test, evaluation and revision. This study developed some teaching aids; a part of syllabus, lesson plan, students book, students’ work sheet, and test of problem solving ability. The subject of the try out is eighth graders of MTs NU Nurul Huda Kudus. The research data to test the validity, practically, and effectiveness are collected by: (1) validation sheet; (2) observation sheet; (3) problem solving test. The results of research showed that development teaching aids using CORE model with metacognitive approach for Geometry material of VIII grade is valid and practical, and learning CORE model with metacognitive approach for Geometry material of VIII grade is effective.

Abstract

This study aims to find an effective learning strategy in teaching mathematics for grade 4 Pringsewu IX.4 Junior High School in the school year 2012/2013 by enabling students in learning activities by using STAD learning model. Expected strategies that emphasize group work is able to cultivate the spirit of student learning. Which is the subject of the study of this class action is graders IX.4 SMP Negeri 4 Pringsewu in the school year 2012/2013, while the object is learning materials sequences and series numbers are taught with STAD model. This classroom action research conducted through three cycles and at each cycle includes planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Increasing mastery of this material from the first cycle of students can be increased by 25.71% from the initial conditions, conditions in the first cycle after the action on the second cycle increased by 2.8%. While the conditions in the second cycle after the action in the third cycle increased by 8.73%. From the results of this class action, the researchers recommend the math teacher to teach the material sequence and series by using STAD learning model.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia is expected to form a human who has a strong Akidah, better Syariah and good Morals. As the result of imbalance between Akidah, Shariah and morals,  many of students violating the rules, norms and ethics both in society and religion. This study aimed to examine the verses of Al-Quran relating to the mathematical set and illustrated with Venn diagrams. The way to analyze is to describe the verses of the Quran relating to the set of values of Akidah, Shariah and morals. The results of this research were in the form description of the value of akidah with verses of Al-Qur’an Al-Anam verse 128, Al-Waqiah verses 7-14, the Al-Fatihah verse 7, Taha verse 6. Value syari ah contained in the Quran Al-Anam verse 128, Al-Waqiah verses 7-14, the Al-Fatihah verse 7. Value morals contained in the Quran Al-Anam verse 128, Al-Waqiah verses 7-14, the Al-Fatihah verse 7.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is in-depth analysis of the obstacles to student learning based on various types of errors in solving combinatorial. Subjects were students of sixth semester the number of students who have been awarded 5 combinatorial materials. Sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Combinatorial tests used to analyze student errors relating to the concepts, principles, and operations. Data were analyzed using triangulation techniques to test the credibility of the data is done by checking the data to the same source with different techniques. Data obtained from the interviews will be checked with data based on the test results. The results of the study concluded that some of the errors of students in solving combinatorial, such as: errors in the received information to restate a concept; errors related to the concept of classifying objects according to certain properties; errors related to the calculation and procedures; error in applying the concept or problem-solving algorithm.
