Abstract

This research were to know income of the mini papaya, marketing channels, marketing margin, farmers share, the marketing profit of the mini papaya which were earned by distributors and marketing efficiency in the district of East Balikpapan subdistrict of Balikpapan Regency. This research was conducted from April to June 2013 in the district of East Balikpapan subdistrict of Balikpapan Regency. Total Respondents 37 people as  15 farmer of papaya mini, 8 wholesalers and 14 retailers. The sampling method used purposive sampling and snowball sampling. The analyze used income analysis and marketing analysis. The results of this research that indicated the income amount of papaya mini as Rp 1,182,204,850.00 for scale 0.5 ha and average Rp 78,813,656.67  respondent-1 year-1 or Rp 134,126,685.30 respondent-1ha-1year -1. The marketing channels are used in the research locations in two level channels. Total marketing margin of the papaya mini is Rp 4,500.00 kg-1. Farmers share is 43.75%. The marketing profit of the papaya mini for wholesalers with the average of Rp 983.04 kg-1 and for retailers with the average of Rp 2,736.06 kg-1 and marketing efficiency for wholesalers is 10.33% and for retailers is 3.29%.

Abstract

Sweet corn is a cultivated plant grown dor fresh consumpption or food industry. The purpose of this study was to examine the physical seed quality and physiological seed quality during storage. The research was conducted in Laboratorium Teknologi Benih Universitas Padjajaran in July 2017 until November 2017. The study consisted of one experiments carried out by using a completely randomized design with two replication using 16 genotypes between Unpad sweet corn seed crossed with released varieties such as Bonanza, Latanza, Sweet boy and Talenta and Unpad sweet corn seed were not crossed with released varieties. Results from this study showed that genotype 533 as the best physical quality in the parameters of 100 grain weight and water content of seed. genotype 871 as the best physical quality in the parameters of germination capacity and seed growth simultaneously. Results from this study also showed that genotype 974 as the lowest physical quality in the parameters of 100 grain weight and water content of seed. genotype 858 as the lowest physical quality in the parameters of germination capacity and seed growth simultaneously.

Abstract

Potential Analysis of Forest Stand Inventory Results in Forest Management Unit (KPH) Pilot Berau Barat, East Kalimantan. The purpose of this study was to determine the potential , the structure and species composition of forest stands in KPHP Berau Barat for one of the basic preparation of forest governance and management of the plan .This study uses data from forest inventories KPHP models that do BPKH Region IV Samarinda in September 2012 then processed and updated with secondary data in March 2014. Tally sheet data from the field and then put together and categorized based on the growth rate , diameter class and species group . From the results of the consistency of the data is then calculated stem volume , tree coordinates . Secondary data include the general state of the location , the function of forests , forest management history , regional geophysical information and information about social culture . It is also seeking written information such as books, reports, journals and interviews with management KPHP Berau Barat.The results obtained are 1) The species composition in small trees and trees in KPHP Berau Barat area dominated by groups of Meranti with average 90.69 stems per hectare; 2) Retrieved 84 kinds of plants with a total of 11 818 individuals , comprising 1,113 seedlings , saplings 1,262 , 4,168 poles and 5,275 trees; 3) At the level of seedling types Meranti group dominates the average 2006.31 seedlings per hectare . Of saplings and poles average number per hectare is dominated by a mixed forest wood types for each - 634.15 and 315.53 respectively per hectare . At the tree level dominated by meranti group with 53.49 stems per hectare ; 4 ) At the level of the tree is the dominant species with 1,319 types of stem Meranti , Medang of 545 rods and Guava 378 rods . While the average volume - average per hectare or so-called greatest potential is the kind of kind of Meranti with 55.929 m3/ha ,Medang m3/ha at 13.230 and 12.574 Keruing m3/ha ; 5 ) At the seedlings obtained INP is the biggest meranti is 53.19 % , Guava by 20.84 % and 16.71 % Medang. Highest INP of saplings on the type of Meranti at 49.60 % , Guava 27.42 % and 13.79 % Medang At the highest level mast INP obtained on the type of Meranti at 64.64 % , Guava 26.77 % and 25.77 % Mendarahan . At the level of the tree has the largest INP Meranti 75.01 % ,Medang 31% and Guava 21.50 %.

Abstract

Kemitraan mangga seyogyanya dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani mangga, namun sering kali kesepakatan kemitraan antara petani dan perusahaan mitra yang tertuang dalam kontrak belum berfungsi dengan baik dalam pelaksanaannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola dan derajat kemitraan pemasaran mangga antara petani mangga dengan perusahaan mitra. Objek penelitian adalah hubungan kemitraan antara petani mangga dengan UD Wulan Jaya sebagai perusahaan mitra eksportir mangga di Kecamatan Singdangkasih, Kabupaten Majalengka, Provinsi Jawa Barat. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian survey. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan pedoman penetapan tingkat hubungan kemitraan usaha pertanian berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Pertanian nomor 944/Kpts/OT.210/10/97 Tanggal 13 Oktober 1997. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola kemitraan yang diterapkan oleh UD Wulan Jaya dengan petani mitra adalah pola KOA dengan derajat kemitraan sebesar 721 yang menyatakan bahwa kemitraan berada pada tingkat Madya.

Abstract

This experience aims to result the influence of cow manure and liquid organic fertilizer Super Natural Nutrition as well as their interaction and the resulting growth of land cress plant and obtain dosage of the cow manure and concentration of liquid organic fertilizer super natural nutrition is right to land cress plant.The research was carried out for two months, from lateMaret 2016 to Mei 2016.From land preparation until crops.The location of the research in Mekar Jaya village, SebuluSubdistric and Kutai Kartanegara regency, East Kalimantan Province.Experiment design using a factorial 4 x 4 in a random design group (RAK), with consists of two factors experiment and three group. The first factors is the cow manure (P)this research consists of 4 levels : without cow manureorcontrol (p0), 5 ton/ha cow manureis equel to320 g/plot (p1), 10 ton/ha cow manure is equel to640 g/plot (p2), and 15ton/ha cow manure is equel to960 g/plot (p3). The secondfactors is theconsentrationof liquid organic fertilizer super natural nutrition (N)consists of 4 levels : without liquid organic fertilizer super natural nutrition(n0), theconsentrationof liquid organic fertilizer Super Natural Nutrition 1 ml/l.water (n1),consentrationof liquid organic fertilizer Super Natural Nutrition 2 ml/l.water (n2) and thenconsentrationof liquid organic fertilizer Super Natural Nutrition 3 ml/l.water (n3).The result showed that cow manure treatment (P) is significant effect plant height at 10 days after planting. The very significant effect plant height age at 20 days and 30 days after planting.Number of tilers for hill and weight of the crop per plant. The highest treatment  weight of the crop per plant is p3 (dosage cow manure 15 ton/ha equel 960 g/plot) is 69,32 g/plant and the lowest weight of the fresh plant in the treatment of p0 without cow manure or control is 40,00 g/plant.Treatmentof liquid organic fertilizer Super Natural Nutrition (N) does not significant effect with number of tilers for hill. The Significanlyt effect plant height at 10 days after planting.Very significantly effect plant height at 20 days and 30 days after plantingdanweight of the crop per plant.The highesttreatment  weight of the crop per plant is n3 (concentrationpupuk organik cair Super Natural Nutrition 3 ml/l.water) is 65,25 g/plant and then The lowest treatment weight of the crop per plant p0 (control treatment), yaitu 46,70 g/plant.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui atau menghitung tingkat kestabilan dan persentase tajuk jenis tegakan karet (Havea brasiliensis), mengetahui hubungan kestabilan dengan tinggi dan diameter dan merekomendasikan kegiatan pengaturan jarak tanaman berdasarkan hasil perhitungan tingkat kestabilan jenis tanaman tersebut.Objek yang digunakan dalam penelitian berupa tegakan karet (Havea brasiliensis) berumur 5 tahun dengan jarak tanam 3 m x 6 m.  Data primer yang diambil berupa tinggi pohon, diameter pohon dan panjang tajuk.   Sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh melalui kegiatan pengumpulan data atau dokumen yang ada, baik dari kepustakaan, maupun informasi yang diperoleh dari lembaga terkait dalam keperluan penelitian serta melakukan studi literatur seperti data potensi tegakan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa untuk jarak tanam 3 m x 6 m didapatkan nilai derajat kestabilan kurang dari 100 yaitu sebesar 61,24 dimana hal ini menandakan bahwa tegakan tersebut stabil, dengan nilai persen tajuk sebesar 70,28.   Hal ini kemudian memperlihatkan bahwa hubungan antara tingkat kestabilan tegakan dan parameter tinggi menunjukkan hubungan yang lebih erat dengan diameternya.  Hasil penelitian juga merekomendasikan bahwa untuk mendapatkan kestabilan tegakan yang lebih baik maka dianjurkan menggunakan jarak tanam 3 m x 6 m dengan tidak melupakan kegiatan penjarangan.Saran yang dapat diberikan adalah sebaiknya pada tanaman karet dilakukan dengan jarak tanam 3 m x 6 m dengan harapan diperolehnya pertumbuhan yang seimbang antara pertumbuhan diameter dan tinggi tanam, pada tegakan karet tersebut perlu dilakukan pengamatan lanjut sehingga dapat diketahui batasan umur untuk dilakukan penjarangan pada jarak tanam yang berbeda pula, mengingat pengamatan tentang derajat kestabilan untuk tegakan jenis lain pada kawasan-kawasan lain belum banyak dilakukan, maka perlunya pengamatan lebih lanjut tentang hal ini, pada pengamatan tentang derajat kestabilan tegakan sebaiknya dilakukan pada umur setengah daur dan sebaiknya pada pengamatan selanjutnya penelitian-penelitian lebih menguasai dan memahami dalam menggunakan alat-alat yang digunakan dalam penelitian seperti clinometer sehingga penelitian benar-benar sempurna dan akurat.

Abstract

A study that aimed to identify characteristics of mangrove forest soil and their inter-relationships, and to know status and limiting factor of the soil fertility, was conducted at wetland area around Badak NGL Company, Bontang City, Province of East Kalimantan. Results of the study showed that there was 2 main great groups of soil, tropofluvents and tropopsamments. Great group tropfluvents at Zone I and II of mangrove forest area is characterized by fibric, silty loam until loam texture, no until slightly clay and until moderately plastic consistency, with soil colour varied in black, brownish black, very dark brown, brown until brownish grey. At while great group tropopsamments which located at pulau  Siaca (SCK) is characterized by sand and sandy texture, no clay and no plastic consistency with soilcolour was light grey dominantly. Salinity of soil was positively related to content of sulphate (r = 0.55), while pH H2O was negatively related to soluble sulphate (r=0.62). Soil cation exchange capacity (CEC) was also negatively related to exchangeable sodium percentage (ESP) (r=0.93). Hight content of soil sulphate was found at location of 25 Ha-mangrove forest, Sekambing Baltim and Sekambing Muara. Hight Sodium Absorption Ratio (SAR) was found at Sekangat and Sekambing Muara. Most of observation areas indicated hight to very hight status of soil fertility, except location of 25 ha-mangrove forest (L25 M and L 25 H) that indivated was low soil status and pulau Siaca (SCK) was moderately soil status. These low to moderately soil fertility status was determined by very low Phosphore, as main soil limiting factor.

Abstract

PT. Kitadin Embalut Site is one of mining companies in Kutai Kartanegara Regency of East Kalimantan Province with total concession area 2,973 ha. Coal mining activities, both directly and indirectly impact on decreasing the environmental quality include pollution of water, air, noise, soil damage, damage to vegetation and wildlife disturbance and optimize reclamation activities. The objective of this study to evaluate the implementation of the success rate of reclamation and revegetation implemented Kitadin Embalut site. The type of research is descriptive, observation data collection and primer documents.Tool of research including: brunton compass, measuring tape, Suunto clinometer, Gauges, plastic rope. Vegetation analysis performed using a circular swath diameter of 17.8 m. The number of plots generated for each year of planting is 1 (one) with a distance of between 50-100 meters plot, the plot would be carried out observations of plant growth on the whole plant is located on the plot example, height, diameter, and canopy closure , For parameters where local species and wildlife presence also performed on this plot.The results of this study illustrate the level of success of revegetation in PT. Kitadin Embalut site in 2010, 2011, and 2012 with growth rates with an average diameter is 22.3 cm, 18 cm and 10 cm. High average in 2010, 2011, and 2012 is 12.8 meters, 8.3 meters and 6.5 meters. Canopy closure rates are in 2010.2011 and 2012 crop year was 71.2%, 60.6%, 53.4%, percentage of growth in 2010.2011 and 2012 at 88%, 77.7%, 83.6%.Based on the indicators of the success rate of growth in both diameter and height it can be concluded that the reclamation and revegetation in PT. Kitadin Embalut site considered good. In addition it should also be increased monitoring of overall plant growth so the company has a data base of all levels petumbuhan existing plants in the area PT. Kitadin Embalut site.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk : (1) Mengetahui pengaruh mulsa dan pupuk kandang sapi terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kedelai dilahan pasang surut, (2) Mengetahui dosis pupuk kandang sapi yang terbaik terhadap hasil tanaman kedelai dilahan pasang surut, (3) Mengetahui ketebalan mulsa yang terbaik untuk tanaman kedelai dilahan pasang surut.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret 2018 sampai Juni 2018. Tempat penelitian Di Jalan A Wahab Syahranie, Sangatta Utara, Kutai Timur. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial dengan  3 taraf perlakuan pemberian mulsa dan 3 perlakuan pemberian pupuk kandang sapi sehingga diperoleh 9 kombinasi. Masing-masing perlakuan dikelompokkan sebanyak 3 kali. Taraf perlakuan yaitu  faktor pertama perlakuan mulsa (M0) Tanpa mulsa, (M1) Mulsa jerami ketebalan 2 cm, (M2) Mulsa jerami ketebalan 4 cm, faktor kedua pupuk kandang sapi (S0) Tanpa Pupuk kandang sapi, (S1) Perlakuan pupuk kandang sapi 4 kg/petak, (S2) Perlakuan pupuk kandang sapi 6 kg/petak. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan maka dianalisis dengan sidik ragam Uji F 5% dan 1% dan bila terdapat hasil berbeda nyata maka dilanjutkan dengan uji BNT 5%.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Pengaruh Mulsa berbeda nyata terhadap parameter tinggi tanaman 7 hst, 14 hst, 21 hst, jumlah cabang umur 14 hst, 21 hst, dan umur panen. Sedangkan pengaruh pupuk kandang berbeda nyata terhadap jumlah cabang 14 hst, 21 hst, dan umur panen. Pemberian mulsa 4 cm dan pupuk kandang sapi 6 kg/petak menunjukkan hasil terbaik.

Abstract

Peranan Penyuluh  Pertanian Dalam Peningkatan Pendapatan Petani Komoditas Padi Di Kecamatan Tanjungselor Kabupaten Bulungan Kalimantan Utara. Penyuluh pertanian mempunyai peran yang strategis dalam meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat tani.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peranan penyuluh pertanian, mengetahui tingkat pendapatan petani padi serta pengaruh peran penyuluh terhadap pendapatan petani. Lokasi penelitian ini di Kelompok Tani binaan Balai Penyuluh Pertanian (BPP) Kec.Tanjung Palas Tengah Kab.Bulungan Kalimantan Utara. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survai dengan responden sebanyak 30 petani. Metode analisis data untuk menghitung pendapatan petani padi yaitu Π=TR-TC. Analisis regresi sederhana digunakan untuk mengetahui pengaruh peran penyuluh terhadap tingkat pendapatan petani,persamaan regresinya adalah Y=a+bx+e, dimana ; Y=tingkat pendapatan, a=konstanta,b=koefisien regresi, x=peran penyuluh dan e= nilai residu.Secara keseluruhan 13,33% responden menyatakan bahwa 13,33% responden menyatakan PPL kurang berperan, 36,67% PPL berperan dan 50 % menyatakan PPL sangat berperan. Peran penyuluh yang dimaksud adalah peran penyuluh sebagai pembimbing, pemantau dan pengevaluasi, fasilitator serta konsultan.Berdasarkan analisis biaya produksi yang dikeluarkan petani padi  rata-rata per musim tanam dengan luasan rata-rata1,7 ha adalah: biaya tetap Rp 759.102,00, biaya variabel Rp 2.278.833,00,biaya produksi total Rp 3.037.935. Penerimaan rata-rata diperoleh sebesar Rp 10.613.333, sehingga pendapatan yang diperoleh rata-rata sebesar Rp 7.575.425,00. Analisis regresi sederhana diperoleh persamaan Y=2539220.838+196470,904X1+e,dengan R2 sebesar 69,6%.
