Abstract

Green city is a program issued by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in 2007. This program is for local governments to implement environmentally sound development. Kuantan Singingi regency is one of the regencies that try to apply Green City concept, this program is coordinated by the Environment Agency (DLH). The purpose of this program is to realize Kuansing with the concept of Environment. This program involves many parties, namely the public, private parties, offices, and companies in Kuansing. Many implementations have been done to realize this green city, one of which is planting tree seeds on the protocol road. The purpose of this research is to know communicator strategy in implementing green city, audience strategy, message strategy and media usage in implementing green city program.This research uses qualitative research method. Informant of this research is 5 people consisting of 2 people from Environmental Office of Kuantan regency singingi and 3 people of society which is chosen by purposive. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview, and documentation. Data validity technique used in this research is triangulation and extension of participation.The result of the research shows that the communicator strategy of Environmental Office is to involve people who are experts and experienced in environment such as Environmental Science Lecturer and Environmental Expert. In addition, it also involves people who have influence on the community such as Village Heads, Adat Stakeholders and Religious Leaders. Strategy Determination of the audience by the Office of the Environment is to choose the nearest audience from downtown, the city of Kuantan Bay and surrounding areas. Consists of the general public, Office and School and Company. The Message Strategy by the Office of the Environment is by using a variety of messages, messages conveyed in seminars, training, banners, advertisements. The message in general is to realize the concept of green city kuansing. Selection of Media in implementing green city program by Environment Department is by using electronic media (Radio), online (Online news site), billboard or banner, social media (Instagram and facebook)Keywords : Communication Strategy, Green City, Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi

Abstract

This research aims to analyze how An African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) peacekeepers made efforts to resolve the conflict in Somalia from 2007 until 2012. Somalia's conflict involves transitional Federal Government (TFG) assisted by the An African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) with Islamic Court Union (ICU) and Al-Shabaab. In addition, Ethiopia is also involved in the conflict. Somalia's conflict attracts international attention. African Union (AU) as a regional organization plays an important role to resolve conflicts that occur in the territory of its member states. The UN also decided to participateto resolve conflicts in Somalia.The data used in this study a secondary data. Secondary data was obtained through library research, and search online media research. The writer uses of the pluralism perspectiveand organization level of analysis. Theories used in this study is based on the organization theory by Clive Archer. The research result is indicate that in resolving the Somali conflict, the UN Security Council mandates the African Union (AU) as a regional organization to establish peace operations that is African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM). African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) carries out a mandate as a peacekeeping mission in Somalia, so that the government can run as it should and people can live without fear of potential recurrence of conflict in the country. African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) also acts as extension of international organizations in providing humanitarian assistance to the people of Somalia. These things make AMISOM an important element in efforts to restore security stability in Somalia. Abstract

2017 is the year of political party head again in the city of Pekanbaru precisely the turn of the term of mayor and vice mayor of Pekanbaru and the election of Pekanbaru mayor. The election of the head of this region was followed by the incumbent mayoral candidate and incumbent mayor’s deputy. At wednesday, February 15, 2017 election of the head of Pekanbaru city was held. The incumbent partner outperformed the other partner with the most voting 33,16% and was declared to win regional head election which made this pair again become mayor and deputy mayor of Pekanbaru in period 2017-2022.This research uses desciptive qualitative research type. The research subjects consisted of four successful Firdaus’s team and one community selected by using purposive technique. This studi uses data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. To achieve the validity of data in this research, the authors use the extension of participation and triangulation.The results showed that the style of political communication Firdaus is verbal communication are that serious, firm, detailed, excessively in communicating and using simple language and educate at the time of campaign and nonverbal communication is that wearing blue malay clothing along with songket and white shirt, friendly to the public, focusing on the audience at the time of the campaign, dialogical campaigns in a room, speaking in a firm and formal tone, preferring direct communication and prioritizes verbal messages. Public relations political strategy in forming a political branding is a media is that social media, face-to-face media, small format media, and outdoor media. The messages of production that arange and make the messages as well as possible and pay attention to the content of any messages that will be delivered both spoken and written. The public that being a target is all of society Pekanbaru City looked by knowledge and attitude sides. Keywords: Political communications style, Public relations political strateg.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the interests of workers in the District of Mandau in 2013-2015, a means of fighting for the interests of workers in the District of Mandau in 2013-2015, as well as Human Resources (HR) in Bengkalis Regency in 2013-2015. As for the background in this research is the problem of fulfillment of the normative rights of uncooperative workers in Mandau Sub-district, while the oil and gas sector becomes a source of income that contributes greatly to the increase of local revenue (PAD) in the area. But it is unfortunate that it is not followed by the increase of welfare for the community, especially for the contract workers who work in the company contractors partners PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia (PT CPI). The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method, where in this research, the researcher tried to explain about the problems that happened between 8 (eight) PT. CPI and workers working in the company. Then the data collection techniques in this study using in-depth interview techniques and documentation of data collection and facts related to research problems. Further data obtained from the research location will be processed and analyzed further by way of describing the facts that have been found from the location of the study. From the results of interviews to informants and based on the data and information obtained by researchers when conducting research, it can be concluded that the demand for the settlement of problems related to the non-fulfillment of the normative rights of the workers is the interests fought by workers in the District of Mandau Bengkalis Regency on year 2013-2015. Then in the struggle for these interests, there are 4 (four) means employed by the workers in solving the problem, namely Labor Union, Labor Law Regulation, Bipartite Cooperation Institution, and Industrial Relations Dispute Settlement Institution. In addition, to improve the quality of Human Resources (HR) in Mandau District, especially in terms of potential management of the oil and gas sector, the local government of Bengkalis Regency builds a Vocational High School (SMK) based on Petroleum, so as to improve the competitiveness of the community, especially the younger generation in Mandau Sub- Regency of Bengkalis.Keywords: Labour Relations, Labour Interest, Fulfillment of Normative Rights, Mandau Sub-district.

Abstract

Child care in the family is absolutely necessary to produce quality children. The process of shaping and creating quality and self-reliant children's personalities requires a good environment and environment around the life of a conducive child. The purpose of this study is to find out how the pattern of child care in the Malay family and to know the relationship between parents to the adopted parenting patterns. Data analysis is done by explaining the data into the form of frequency table with descriptive analysis complete with percentage. The analysis used in this study is all data obtained in the field either primary data or secondary data and will be grouped by type and then analyzed qualitatively. Technique of data retrieval in this research is purposive sampling that is respondent who have children age 6 until 12 year who occupy class 1 to class 6 elementary which amounted to 15 people. From the results of the study can be concluded that parents who have children aged 6-9 years of class 1 to grade 3 elementary school apply Authoritarian style with gift giving. While parents who have children aged 10 to 12 years of grade 4 to grade 6 elementary school apply democratic parenting, but in certain circumstances parents also apply authoritarian parenting patterns in improving child discipline. The relationship of interaction between parent-child majority is well and harmoniously, this is because parents understand the character of each child.Keywords: Child care pattern, family,

Abstract

The role of the education office is the supervisors, controllers, administrators and supervisors of primary and secondary education for the realization of national education. As for the function of education that is as a tool to free people from ignorance, oppression, backwardness and poverty that hit the Indonesian society.The purpose of this study is to : (1) Know the role of the education office in the prevention of children prone to drop out; (2) Know what are the causes of still children who drop out of school. This research uses qualitative research method with descriptive research type, which can be interpreted as problem solving process which is investigated by describing the state of research subject based on facts that appear during the research which then continued with based on the existing theories. Data analysis is done by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion or verification.Based on the results of this study concluded that with the role of the Education Office then the level of public participation in the importance of education activities in Pekanbaru City will increase. But the fact that the participation of the community on the lack of education is caused by several factors,namely the low interest of children to go to school, the size of brothers, economic factors, social factors, peer factors and others. As for the factors that will cause the existence of children who drop out of school is the misuse of budget allocations, and lack of extension in remote areas.Keywords: Role, Education Authorities, Drop Out

Abstract

This research is proposed to quality a bachelor’s degree in sosiology. With the tittle “Change of Marriage Tradision in Kenegerian Kopah Kecamatan Kuantan Singingi District”. This research aims to know the proses of implementation of marriage tradision in Kenegerian Kopah, to know what elements are experiencing change, and to determine the factors that cause changes in the implementation of marriage in Kenegerian Kopah. This research uses qualitative analysis method, the subject of this research is determined by purposive sampling techniques and data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this research indicate that the social changes that occur in Kenegerian Kopah society is in the tradision of marriage. In the past the pratice of marriage was fully practiced by custom. But now more lead to more practical implementation. The proses of implementation of the marriage tradision in Kenegerian Kopah such as, fiance “ma ikek tando” determine the date before the wedding, marriage ceremony “ampokat”, and marriage receprions. Changing elements such as, introduction phase, way find a partner, marriage procedures, marriage receptions, marriage of one tribe. Some of the factors that cause change are, the change of society it self, the level of education, people who are more interest in practical marriage, the influence from outside and mixing culture, contact with other people, preparation before teh wedding.The key word : Change, Tradition, the Marriage

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) how the process of meeting event implementation in premiere hotel Pekanbaru, (2) how to overcome obstacles in the implementation of the event meeting in banquet section hotel premiere pekanbaru. The design of this study is qualitative descriptive. The subjects of this study are key informants and additional informants. Key informants are, sales banquet marketing hotel premiere pekanbaru and additional informant that is one employee per department hotel premiere pekanbaru. Data collection techniques used were observation, documentation, in-depth interviews and document studiesFrom the results of research that has been related to the author of the implementation of the event meeting in banquet section premiere hotel Pekanbaru, then taken the conclusion of the implementation of his event is good although there are still obstacles encountered. obstacles faced such as changes in the agreement of the event, the old payment, the lack of his communication, the lack of hygiene from the event organizer and his lack of order.Keywords: Event, meeting, banquet

Abstract

Child abuse is the treatment of an adult or an elderly child by the use of power or authority over a defenseless child who should be the responbility of a parent or caregiver who results in suffering, misery. Children are often victims of violence. Be it school, where they play, even within their own family environment, which should be their place of refuge. Violence experienced by children vary, there is physical and psychological violence. In riau province area there are still many violent acts againts children one of them in pekanbaru city. Cases of victims of violence againts children is actually much more than has been recorded because the victim did not report the case. The purpose of this study is to find out (1) how the social larar of victims of violence against children. (2) factors causing violence againts children. The research was conducted in pekanbaru city with descriptive qualitative research method, where the informants in this study amounted to 4 people, who are considered to have experienced violence against children is diverse. Abstract

Vespa extreme is a symbol of freedom in modification and creation art which combined things that useless with vespaso that become anunique phenomena. This vespa extreme rider known because their appearance look dingy, seedy, and their unique life style. This appearance make people afraid and have a negative perspective to them. This research purpose to know motive of vespa extreme user included meaning of vespa, symbols and so things in vespa extreme and about its rider communication experience in use vespa extreme.This research is using qualitative with phenomenology approach by Alfred Schutz and interaction symbolic theory George . H. Mead. This research have 7 people as informant. Sampling technique using snowball technique.Data collection with participant observation, documentation, and deep interview. Data analysis is interactive technique included 3 phase, data collection, data interpretation, and conclucion.The results showing that motive of vespa extreme riders join this community is the past motive like modification hobby and using scooter that have been long exist in their self, element of art, unique and space of freedom in creation. And future motive include solidarity, looking for friends and expand brotherhood as media for freedom in creation. The meaning of vespa extreme for its user is media to express their self freely, self identity, and vespa extreme as media communication to deliver message and satire. Besides, the meaning of things in that like flag and plastic is use as sign in the road. Bottles,spare tire, and many more for additional tools is the variation modification. Communication experience that they gained is expand brotherhood, become famous, and also some not fun experience like thought as criminal, homeless, useless, get caught by the police, be treated unreasonable, and often gets shout also thrown by other pedestrians.
