Abstract

Coordination is an effort to unify cooperative activities within a team itself as well as cooperation with other departments to achieve the same goals. This research was conducted at Pesonna Hotel Pekanbaru. The objective of this research is to find out how is the coordination system between the front office and housekeeping in the hotel. Pesonna hotel is a 3 star hotel which has 9 hotel branches in Indonesia. The forms of coordination between the front office of the department and the household department still have miscommunication but can still be improved, for the factors that affect work coordination between these departments have been running quite well, while the school-crowd in work coordination between these departments is in the form of form of communication between departments. To solve this problem, this study used a qualitative method by using four key informants as interviewees they area Front Office Supervisor, a Housekeeping Supervisor, a Front Desk Agent, and a Room Boy. In collecting the data, the writer used these followings techniques they are observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the result of the research, itrevealed that the coordination between the Front Office and Housekeeping has been going quite well, but still needs to be improved.Keywords : Coordination, Front Office, Housekeeping.

Abstract

General supervision is the direction and control to lower level employeesin an organization or group of people who carry out supervision activities in callwith the supervisor. Therefor, this research aims to determine the performancestandards of supervisors at housekeeping departement in Grand Jatra HotelPekanbaru and constrains faced in carrying out duties and responsibilities assupervisors at housekeeping departement. This research used quantitatifdescriptive method to examine the issues. Sample in this research was 6 peopletaken by using census sampling. The data collection techniques in this researchusing observation, quesionnaires, and interviews. Likert scale was usedmeasuring instrument to determine the interval. Based on the result of research,supervisors response about the implementation of supervisor performancestandard that is the ability to behave as a leader, ability to plan, coordinationability, directional ability, supervision ability, and evaluation ability. Abstract

Motivation is a change of power within a person aharacterized by an effective impulse related to one’s desire to be respected, respected in order to fulfill personal ambition. The research was to analyze the motivations of tourists visiting the indah beach of selatbaru . District Bengkalis. To know the constraints of the event beautiful beach party celebration selatbaru,this study using quantitative descriptive method,to describe the problem in the tourist visit samples used are 100 people. Abstract

Currently the competition in tourism industry is getting tighter. One of the tour and travelcompanies which is named Laena Tur Pekanbaru also faces an intense competition in Pekanbaru withvarious competitors bith online company and fellow tour and travel company. Therefore, this studyaims to describe the marketing strategy (Segmenting, Targeting and Positioning) in Laena tourPekanbaru and describe its implementation. The research’s data was collected through interviews withthe management including employees. The result of research shows that Laena Tour Pekanbaru is usingsegmenting base such as geografic segmenting, demografic segmenting, psikografic segmenting. Interms of targeting, Laena Tour Pekanbaru uses determination different target market and focus onumrah and haji product. Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) how the process of meeting event implementation in premiere hotel Pekanbaru, (2) how to overcome obstacles in the implementation of the event meeting in banquet section hotel premiere pekanbaru. The design of this study is qualitative descriptive. The subjects of this study are key informants and additional informants. Key informants are, sales banquet marketing hotel premiere pekanbaru and additional informant that is one employee per department hotel premiere pekanbaru. Data collection techniques used were observation, documentation, in-depth interviews and document studiesFrom the results of research that has been related to the author of the implementation of the event meeting in banquet section premiere hotel Pekanbaru, then taken the conclusion of the implementation of his event is good although there are still obstacles encountered. obstacles faced such as changes in the agreement of the event, the old payment, the lack of his communication, the lack of hygiene from the event organizer and his lack of order.Keywords: Event, meeting, banquet

Abstract

Briefing activities are needed by a company that has a high work ethic in order to facilitate and motivate employees to work. Therefore, this study aims to describe the communication elements in briefing at the food and beverage service of the Novotel Pekanbaru. The research used a qualitative descriptive method to analyze based on data analysis techniques such as observation, interview, and documentation. Communication in direction includes elements of people, message, Media, Effect, and feedback. Abstract

Museum of Rumah adat Nan Baanjuang is one of the museums located in the City of Bukittinggi. this museum has various types of collection of enography, numismatic and biologika. in the management of the museum there are four indicators namely planning, organizing, directing and supervision. The purpose of this study (1) To Know How Management of Museum Collection at Traditional House Nan Baanjuang in Kawasan Taman Culture and Kinantan Culture Bukittinggi City (2) To Know What Is The Obstacle In The Management Of Museum Of Traditional House Of Nan Baanjuang In Located Wildlife Park And Culture Kinantan City Bukittinggi This research design using qualitative method with descriptive approach, which the researchers will take data from informants who know clearly about the Museum of Traditional Rumah Adat Nan Baanjuang in the Area of Wildlife Park and Culture Kinantan City Bukittinggi.The results showed that in the management of museum collections in Rumaah Adat Nan Baanjuang there are four stages of collection procurement, collection recording, collection storage and collection maintenance. constraints faced in the management of the museum is a lack of funding, lack of trained human resources.Keywords: Museum, Management, Management of museum collections

Abstract

This reseach aim to determine employee satisfaction at Turi Beach Resort Batam. Which consists of seven dimensions which are reward, jobitself, promotion opportunity, supervision, co-worker, job condition and job security. The research method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method. The population of this research is all staff of food and beverage service department at Turi Beach Resort Batam. In this study the researchers did not use the sample, because in this study the researchers used all members of the population of 34 people’s. Data collection techniques in this study using questionnaires and interviews. The data analysis technique used is Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) or analysis of the level of importance and performance or employee satisfaction is done by comparing expectations and reality of the responses of respondents. Based on the research conducted, the results of data processing showed a higher expectation rate compared to the reality level, where all the average show the level of satisfaction between reality and expectations of respondents smaller than 100%, with percentage 88.00% then in the interpretation of satisfaction level according to the IPA method is not satisfactory.Keyword: Work satisfaction, employee, F&BService

Abstract

Lake Cipogas tourist attraction Rokan Hulu regency is one of the tourist attractions that serve as excellent products in Rokan Hulu regency. Lake Cipogas will be developed into a new tourist attraction with attention to the characteristics of visitors. Therefore, for the development of tourist attraction on target, it is necessary to study the characteristics of visitors. This study aims to determine: (1) Characteristics of visitors who come to the tourist attraction Cipogas Lake Rokan Hulu; (2) The development efforts undertaken by the Department of Tourism and Culture of Rokan Hulu Regency according to the characteristics of visitors. This study uses quantitative methods with descriptive approach, the sample of research amounted to 100 respondents who are visitors who come to the Lake Cipogas tourist attraction Rokan Hulu regency. To determine the number of respondents researchers using accidental sampling technique, where researchers took the sample by chance found by chance while in the Lake Cipogas tourist attraction Rokan Hulu regency. Thus the researcher can know that the characteristics of visitors who come to the Lake Cipogas tourist attraction Rokan Hulu regency vary from the demographic and psychographic characteristics. Abstract

In the world of tourism industry at this time especially competition between the hospitality industry is increasingly fierce and tight. One company in the hotel industry named Fox Hotel Pekanbaru also faces increasingly fierce and fierce competition with various hospitality industry competitors in the city of Pekanbaru. Therefore, this research aims to describe the marketing strategy of the F&B product (Segmenting, Targeting and Positioning) from Fox Hotel Pekanbaru and analyze its application. Collecting research data through observation, interviews and documentation with management and through data sources in the form of archives and documents owned by Fox Hotel Pekanbaru relating to this research. Analysis results show that Fox Hotel Pekanbaru from a segmenting perspective uses the geographic segmenting, demographic segmenting and psychographic segmenting. From a targeting perspective, Fox Hotel Pekanbaru uses a differeniated targeting strategy and also focuses on F&B event, promotions, a la carte and indonesian food signature. Whereas from a positioning perspective, Fox Hotel Pekanbaru uses the basis of competitors, price, quality and  in determining the market position of Fox Hotel Pekanbaru also takes positioning steps.  Keywords: Segmenting, Targeting, Positioning, F&B Product
