<![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of maternal perception of infant formula to formula feeding in infants aged 0-6 months. This research was a analytic survey research. The research design used in this study was cross-sectional. The study was conducted in Puskesmas Sidomulyo Pekanbaru involved 30 mothers with infants aged 0-6 months. The sampling technique was accidental sampling. Data collection tool was a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. This study used univariate and bivariate data analysis. The results showed a significant relationship between maternal perception of infant formula to formula feeding in infants aged 0-6 months (P value 0.007 < α 0.05. It was recommended to health professionals providing counseling or guidance to the public on the effects of formula feeding in infants aged 0-6 months. <![CDATA[Renal insufficiency due to diabetes disease has subsequently been known by the name of Diabetic Kidney Disease (DKD) or Diabetic Nephropathy (ND) is a complication of diabetes that is included in microvascular complications, the complications that occur in small blood vessels (small). The purpose of this research was to determined the level of knowledge about DM dietery with complication of kidney failure. Samples of this research taken by using purposive sampling technique. This study used a” descriptive – correlation” research design with cross sectional study " . Total sample of 74 people with using purposive sampling technique sampling by taking into account the inclusion criteria Measuring instrument to look at the diet by using kuesioner knowledge and to see the complications of chronic renal failure was using secondary data . The analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis with the chi-square test . The results showed a high knowledge of the results of as many as 42 ( 56.8 % ) and low knowledge of as many as 32 (43.2 %), while the average stage of CRF in stage IV were 12 respondents ( 16.2 % ) and stage V as 62 respondents ( 83.8 % ). The results of this study with p value = 0,843, There is no relationship between the level of knowledge about the diet of patients with DM with complications of chronic renal failure. The results of this study are expected to be one of the nursing interventions to improve diabetes patients knowledge about the diet of diabetic nephropathy in order not to aggravate the situation. <![CDATA[This research goal was to compare the weight increase of low birth weight (LBW) neonates that was given breast feeding and formula feeding in Perinatology unit at Arifin Achmad Hospital Pekanbaru. This was descriptive comparative research with retrospective approach. The total number of respondent was 279 taken from medical record in 2010-2012. The instruments in this research was entry sheet that was consist of information about nutrition and weight increase recorded during first-two weeks of treatment. The data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate with Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney test. Wilcoxon test showed there was weight gain in each group of feeding (P value: 0,000), further more Mann-whitney test showed a significant differences weight gain between breast feeding and formula feeding groups with P value (0,007) < α (0,05). <![CDATA[The aim of this research was to describe direct care hours for patient that admitted on medical surgery ward Cendrawasih I. In this study, researcher uses descriptive design that was conducted at Arifin Achmad Hospital, Riau Province. The number of respondent was 44 choosen by purposive sampling technique. The instrument was observation sheet. The data were analyzed by univariate analysis. The results showed that the average hours of direct care observed for 3 days was 60.32 minutes. Based on the result, nurses should increase care hours and types of care which can also increase the quality of medical surgery ward Cendrawasih I. <![CDATA[This research aims to know the comparative effectiveness of the granting of the decoction of ginger and mint leaves to nausea to vomiting in pregnant women. Methods the study was quasi experimental with pretest-posttest design approach with two eksperiment. This research was conducted in the region work Puskesmas Garuda Soweto against 30 persons 1 trimester of pregnant women with pregnancy primipara, that is 15 expectant mothers group of ginger and 15 others group of mint leaves. Sampling method with a snowball by using the observation sheet gauge. Data analyzed with Mann Withney tests Test results obtained after giving ginger stew p-value (0.001) < α (0.05) so that it can be concluded there is a significant difference after awarding Ginger stew while the mint leaves obtained p-value (0.028) > α (0.05) Thus it can be concluded there is a significant difference after giving ginger stew while the mint leaves obtained p-value (0.028) > α (0.05) so that it can be concluded there is no difference after the granting of the decoction of leaves of mint. The results mean the rank obtained in the Ginger Group of 9,87 and 6,66 group mint leaves, ginger stew is summed up so that it can more effectively than with mint leaves. The results of this research to recommend the granting of boiled ginger and mint leaves to become one of the nursing interventions in addressing nausea vomiting in pregnant women with pregnancy 1st trimester primipara. <![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between nutritional status on the incidence of anemia in the elderly. This research method descriptive design-correlation with cross-sectional studies. Correlational study aimed to determine the correlation between variables. This research conducted at the health center of Pekanbaru Simpang Tiga to 40 elderly people . The sampling method is to use accidental sampling. Measuring instruments in use is the observation sheet consisting of initials, age, sex, IMT values, and levels of hemoglobin. Analysis used univariate and bivariate analysis is by using ANOVA test. The results of this study showed no association between nutritional status on the incidence of anemia in the elderly (p > α (0,05) is (p = 0,792). The results of this study indicate that the elderly have normal nutritional status because of lifestyle factors such as eating good nutritious food and food various every day. <![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to determine the cigarette history with lung cancer stadium. The research method is descriptive correlation. The study was conducted in Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru hospital with a sample of 33 patient. The sampling method is purposive sampling. Data collection tool in this study is a questionnaire with 4 question and observation sheet result from read CT Scan. An analysis is univariat and bivariate analysis using chi-square test. The result showed that there is a relationship between cigarette history with lung cancer stadium with p value ( 0,035) < α (0,05) in Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru hospital in Arifin Achmad Pekanbaru hospital. <![CDATA[This study aims to determine the relationship of the level of knowledge and attitude of health service worker’s with the application of correct hand washing techniques. The method used is the descriptivecorrelative. This research was conducted emergency room of Arifin Achmad Hospital in Pekanbaru with 41 respondents. Measuring instrument used was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by using chi-square with the confidence level = 0.05. The results showed that there is a relationship between health service worker’s knowledge of the application of attitude hand washing techniques with p value = 0.016. The results also show that there is a relationship between health worker’s attitudes with the application of proper hand washing techniques with p value = 0.006. It is suggested for health service worker’s in Arifin Achmad Hospital are expected to maintain and improve knowledge and attitudes appropriate hand washing procedures set correctly.
