Abstract

CV Gaharu Plaza Indonesia is one of the few companies that processes agarwood in the Riau province. Poor marketing systems causes the product to be unable to compete in the market. The purpose of this research is to identify and analyse the supply chain management system of agro-industry and efficient marketing channels at CV Gaharu Plaza Indonesia. This research was observed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative analysis methods. Qualitative descriptive analysis is used to analyse the mechanism of supply chains. Descriptive quantitative is used for measuring added value and marketing efficiency. Marketing efficiency can be determined by calculating marketing margin, farmer’s share and marketing efficiency. The value added of the actors are as follows: agarwood farmer (86%), CV Gaharu Plaza Indonesia (88%) and distributor (25%). Agarwood tea’s marketing consist of 3 channels, channel 2 is the efficient channel consisting of marketing margin IDR 7000, farmer’s share 65% and marketing efficiency 8%. Keywords: agarwood tea, supply chain, Hayami method, farmer’s share, marketing efficiency

Abstract

Mangrove Ecotourism Rawa River is a mangrove forest that remains on the East Coast of Sumatra Island that has a high conservation value. This mangrove forest becomes a place for flora and fauna that live interconnected. This research aims to find out the diversity of bird species in mangrove ecotourism sungai rawa. Research data collection uses the IPA (Index Point of Abundance) and Rapid Assessment Methods by observation to obtain data directly in the region. The data was analyzed using formulations of type diversity, type equality, type similarity and abundance of types. Based on data processing obtained 20 types of birds from 13 bird families, namely, Centropus bengalensis, Pycnonotus cyaniventris, Dinopium javanense, Prinia familiaris, Granulax lugubris, Collocalia esculenta, Treron fulvicollis, Eudynamys saturates, Picus vittatus, Acridotherestristis, Zosterops palpebrosus, Rhipidura javanica,Geopelia striata, Ixobrychus eurhythmus, Butorides striatus, Todirhamphus sanctus, Celeus brachyurus,Picoides moluccensis), Cikalang, Tringa brevipes. With the magnitude of each diversity index on land zoning 2.36, central zonation 2.76, coastal zonation 1.93. For the type leveling index on land zonation 0.02, central zonation 0.02, coastal zonation 0.05. The type similarity index is classified as high with a magnitude of 57 %-97% and for the abundance of middle zonation types is highest with the number of 20 types. Keywords: Mangrove Ecotourism  Sungai Rawa, diversity of birds, species richness

Abstract

Marketing system of these rubber commodities in the district mines has not been well-organized, because it was still through an intermediary institution.The purpose of this research is to formulate a marketing strategy for the marketing of rubber can be more efficient. Analysis of the data for this research uses a descriptive qualitative analysis and stage strategies, which are matrix IFE, EFE and SWOT matrix. The data retrieval process is done with observation and interviews. The results showed that there were from the results of IFE matrix and EFE obtained score of 2.425and3.257. The recommendations for the formulation of the rubber marketing strategy obtained from the results of the SWOT analysis are (i) The government has established a bokar marketing institution that has a role in facilitating the quality of bokar reservoirs and facilitates the marketing of bokar to factories in accordance with factory demand. (ii) Strengthening capital for marketing activities of farmer groups through collaboration between farmer groups and BUMDes. (iii) Collaboration between rubber farmers or farmer groups by forming bokar storage centers or warehouses aimed at storing. (iv) Facilitation of partnership patterns between factories and rubber farmers through farmer groups by the Government.Keywords: Bokar, Bokar MarketingStrategy

Abstract

Alternative use of insecticides from natural ingredients that are safe, relatively inexpensive and easily obtained, as the leaves Cerbera manghas. This study was conducted to determine the effect of leaf extract Cerbera manghas as botanical insecticides against the pest control Paracoccus marginatus on nursery Eucalyptuspellita, and get the concentration of the best of the level of mortality of pest Paracoccus marginatus on nursery Eucalyptuspellita. This research method using a completely Randomized Design consisting of four treatments and four replicates so that there are 16 units of the experiment. The treatment in this study include the concentration of the leaf extract Cerbera manghas 30 g/l of water, the concentration of 40 g/l of water, the concentration of 50 g/l of water and control. Parameters measured in this study is the starting time of the death of the insect test, the lethal time (LT50), the mortality daily, total mortality as well as temperature and humidity. Data analysis was performed using analysis of variance for a completely randomized design one of the factors using SPSS 20.0. Furthermore, if the treatment gave a real effect on the productivity of pine resin, then test the map in the form of Test Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the level of 5%. The concentration of leaf extract Cerbera manghas 50 g/l of water is the concentration of the best in controlling Paracoccus marginatus with the results of the preliminary time of death of the insect test the fastest way is 9.25 hours, the best time lethal to 50% (LT50) Paracoccus marginatus is 29,50 hours and total mortality amounted to 100.00%. Keywords: Cerbera manghas, Paracoccus marginatus, Eucalyptus pellita, Leaf Extract.

Abstract

The research was conducted at experimental farm, the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University, Campus Bina Widya Km 12,5, sub-district of Simpang Baru, district of Tampan, Pekanbaru, from March until June 2016 to got combination of manure and KCl fertilizer well as best single factor for the growth and production of shallot. The research design was randomized completely block design, factorial 2 x 4 and 3 replications. The first factor was manure (cow manure and chicken manure) and the second factor was KCl fertilizer (0,200,300 and 400 kg.ha-1). Data results were analyzed statistically operates with anova and Duncan test continued level of 5%. Parameter observed were plant height, total of leaves, winding of bulbs, total bulbs/clump, fresh weight of bulbs and dry weight of bulbs. The result revealed that the 20 ton.ha-1 chicken manure with 200 kg.ha-1 KCl fertilizer were the better than another treatments because the treatments showed the highest quality that fresh weight of bulbs (373,5 g.m-2) and dry weight of bulbs (314,4 gr.m-2).  Key word : manure, KCl fertilizer, shallot.

Abstract

The Forest Reserve of  Kenegerian Rumbio Kampar District is one that holds a lot of conservation of germplasm one Eurycoma longifolia Jack, information regarding the distribution pattern of the forest Eurycoma longifolia Jack in the Forest Reserve of Kenegerian Rumbio was limited. This study aims to determine the analysis of vegetation and distribution patterns of Eurycoma longifolia Jack in Panoghan zone, Naghao Koto zone, and Sialang Layang zone from Forest Reserve of Kenegerian Rumbio. This study using purposive sampling method.The observation plot is made in square plot which plot size was 20 x 20 m for tree level and 10 x 10 m for the poles. The results of this study indicate that the analysis of vegetation reaches its maximum value outcome important value index is 300%. Distribution pattern of Eurycoma longifolia Jack were clumped with Morisita Index value > 1. Eurycoma longifolia Jack clumped distribution petterns caused by Eurycoma longifolia Jack seeds grow not far from the mother tree, Eurycoma longifolia Jack tolerant shade tree canopies, and by factors of edafik.Keywords: Analysis vegetation, Eurycoma longifolia Jack, Morisita Indeks,                        Forest Reserve of Kenegerian Rumbio

Abstract

This study aims to obtain the best concentration of tapioca and sago adhesive on briquettes from rice husk. This research was conducted experimentally using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with six treatments and three replications and continued with Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at level of 5%. The treatments were BTS1 (Tapioca adhesives 0%: Sago adhesives 5% from total ingredients), BTS2 (Tapioca adhesives 4%: Sagoadhesives 1% from total ingredients), BTS3 (Tapioca adhesives 2%: Sago adhesives 3% from total ingredients), BTS4 (Tapioca adhesives 3%: Sago adhesives 2% from  total ingredients), BTS5 (Tapioca adhesive 4%: Sago adhesives 1% from  total ingredients), and BTS6 (Tapioca adhesive 5%: Sago sadhesives 0% from  total ingredients). The results of analysis of variance showed that the variation of tapiocaand sago adhesive concentration had significantly effect on water content, volatile content, calorific value and carbon boundedcontentbut gave no significantly effect to ash content. The best quality of briquette was BTS6(Tapioca adhesive 5%: Sago adhesives 0% from total ingredients) produced water content 4.14%, ash content 5.98%, calorificvalue 3155.87 K /g, evaporate 38.95%, and carbon bounded content 50.93%. Keywords:Briquettes, rice husk, adhesive, tapioca, sago.

Abstract

Helicoverpa armigera Hubner is a pest on the corn plant. H. armigera pest control is usually performed using synthetic insecticides, however the unwise of them use can cause negative impacts to humans and the agricultural environment, then necessitating alternative insecticides that are safer and environmentally friendly such as the use of the seed extract of the crown of god (Phaleria macrocarpa L). The purpose of this study was to obtain a concentration of the extract of the crown of god seeds which was effective in controllingH. armigera. The research was conducted at the Plant Pest Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University, Pekanbaru from September to November 2020. Experiments were carried using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications so that obtained 20 experimental units. Concentration of the seed extract of the crown of god as treatment are 0 g.l-1 water, 25 g.l-1 water, 50 g.l-1 water, 75 g.l-1 water and 100 g.l-1 water.  The result showed that the concentration of the extract of the crown of god seeds 75 g.l-1 water able to control pests H. armigera and can cause a total mortality of 82,50% with an initial death time of 8,50 hours and lethal time 50 of 17,75 hours. Keywords:  Helicoverpa armigeraHubner.,crown of god, corn, mortality.

Abstract

Arenga pinnata is a commodity that has high economic value, but hasn’t been utilized optimally. The population of Arenga pinnata is decreasing. This happens because forest encroachment and felling of Arenga pinnatatrees are not balanced with the regeneration of young plants. Based on the nature ofArenga pinnataand its utilization, it is recommended to plant in stages so that the availability of plants  is guaranteed.Cocopeat growing media is suitable for rehabilitation of critical land in dry climates. Cocopeat functions to keep plant roots from drying out and hydrated properly. The research was carried out using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments with 5 replications in order to obtain 20 experimental units. Each replication consisting of 5 experimental samples, so that the total seedling used is 100 experimental units. This research used 4 treatments with cocopeat composition, P1 = 100% soil planting medium as control P2 = 75% soil planting medium + 25% cocopeat P3 = 50% soil planting medium + 50% cocopeat P4 = 25% soil planting medium + 75 cocopeat %. The data obtained from the results of the study were statistically analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and using Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the 5% level. Cocopeat growing media has a significant effect on leaf surface area. The composition of the best cocopeat growing media used for the growth of Arenga pinnata seedlings is a composition of 75% cocopeat + 25% soil, with 100%  percentage live of seedlings, an increase in seedling height of 10,08 cm, leaf surface area of 102 cm2.Keywords: Arenga pinnata, cocopeat, growth

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola pada saluran pemasaran dan kinerja pasar. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Talontam, Kecamatan Benai, Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi. Penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling untuk mendapatkan sampel petani dan snowball sampling untuk mendapatkan sampel pedagang. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah (1) saluran pemasaran swadaya yang terdiri dari dua jalur pemasaran saluran I dari petani, pedagang pengumpul, dan pedagang besar dan saluran pemasaran II dari petani langsung ke pedagang grosir (2) kinerja pasar pada saluran pemasaran I menghasilkan margin pemasaran Rp.6.624,92/kg, sedangkan pada saluran pemasaran II Rp.4.167,00/kg, efisiensi pemasaran saluran pemasaran I sebesar 7,17% dan saluran pemasaran II sebesar 3,54% Farmer’s share saluran pemasaran I pola swadaya sebesar 87,23% sedangkan pada saluran pemasaran II sebesar 99,96%.Kata kunci: Saluran, kakao, pemasaran, kinerja, dan pola swadayaÂ
