Abstract

ABSTRACTThe Sail River is one of the Siak watersheds contaminated with heavy metals Pb. This study aims to determine the decrease in heavy metals Pb in water due to the use of different bioijuk densities. The study was conducted in March-April 2019. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD), with 3 different bioijuk density treatments, namely P1 (rare density), P2 (medium density) and P3 (density of meetings), with 3 replications. The sampling location is carried out in the inlet and outlet area. The results showed that the highest average decrease in Pb heavy metal content was in P3 (0.077 mg / L) with a decrease in effectiveness (EP) of 77%. The treatment of different bioijuk densities did not have a significant effect in decreasing heavy metal levels in the water of the Sail River. Keywords :Bioijuk, Pb, Cd, Bacteria, Effectiveness of decline

Abstract

ABSTRACT             This research was conducted in February - March 2019 in the waters of Sungaitohor Village Kepulauan Meranti Regency Riau Province. The aims of the study were to analyze the organic content in the sediment and macrozoobenthos abundance and the relationship of organic sediment with macrozoobenthos abundance. Determination of the research was purposive sampling of 4 station with 5 sampling points where the distance each sampling point was 500 meters wich were based on the initial sampling point. Makrozoobenthos in the study area consist of 10 species of 2 classes, namely class gastropod and malacostraca. The study showed that the organic content in the sediment was found between 8.57 – 26.07 %, while the abundance of macrozoobenthos was between 18.33 – 58.33 ind/m2. The relationship between macrozoobenthos and organic sediment was expressed with the equation of Y = 3.667 + 2.099X, r = 0.759, the higher content of organic sediment lead to the higher the makrozoobenthos abundance. Keywords: sediment organic, macrozoobenthos, abundance

Abstract

ABSTRACTMandah, Indaragiri Hilir Riau is an area that has potential in the field of fisheries, so information is needed to support management wisely so as not to damage the sustainability of fish resources, one of the supporting factors for fishing and fish resource management is spatial data and information available. and temporal, but it is very unfortunate that information on spatial and temporal distribution of fish species in Indonesia has not been well structured and systematically so that fishermen generally make arrests based on their ancestors' experiences or traditions who have high risks and opportunities for uncertainty. This study examines the pattern of fishing season in the Mandah waters of Indragiri Hilir Regency using data on monthly fishing production from 2009-2017 with results. The fishing season in Mandah District occurs from April to September with the peak fishing season in June and October until March is not the fishing season. Keywords: Mandah, Seasonal pattern, spatial, temporal

Abstract

ABSTRACTsarah.adriani@gmail.comThe aim of this study was to determine the variability of the concentration of chlorophyll-a and sea surface temperature (SST) as well as its relationship with the catch of yellowstripescad(Selaroides leptolepis) in the waters of the coast of Sumatera. The value of SST and chlorophyll-a concentration  was obtained from MODIS. While the data of yellowstripescad(Selaroides leptolepis) obtained from the PelabuhanPerikananSamudera Belawan. The highest yellowstripescadcaught in the East season and the second transition season with an average catch of 3529kg/year and 3549.4kg/year. In the east season the average chlorophyll-a was 0.76 with a range0.2mg/m3-1.36mg/m3 and an average sea surface temperature of 30.03oC with a range of 28.54oC-30.93oC. In the transitional season II averages of chlorophyll-a 1.15 with a range of 0.61mg/m3-1.99mg/m3 and average sea surface temperature of 28.88oC with a range 27.45oC-29.96oC. The west season is the most dominating of the chlorophyll-a concentration of about 3.93mg/m3. The SST of Malacca Strait is following of the wind pattern that occurred in Indonesian water. On fluctuations in chlorophyll-a and catches in the East season and transition season II explain that the decrease in chlorophyll-a concentration is inversely proportional to the fluctuations in catches, while fluctuations in sea surface temperature and catches in the East season and transition season II have and influence on the rise and fall of sea surface temperature. Correlation r2 between catches with clorophyll-a and sea surface temperature are very weak (r= 0.12) or the contribution of chlorophyll-a and sea surface temperature only 1.4% forward the yellowstripescad catches.Key word :Aqua MODIS, Chlorophyll-a and Sea SurfaceTemperature and Selaroides leptolepis.
