Abstract

This research was conduted on 5 to 12 June 2013 in Ranah Village, sub-regent of Kampar that located in regent of Kampar Riau. This research was determined purposively with survey methode. Number of cultivators of Kelemak Fish were 30 of 125 populations taken as the respondent with random sampling. The Adoption Rank for Kalemak Cultvators was in medium category, and  Technology adoption Package has been match was medium too because the cultivators havent been used all technology package from stakeholder because that technology so hard to implemented. The suggested Package of the research was location and lay out selection, design, clean of device and tool. The purpose of this study was to collect and analyze information on: characteristics of fish farmers in cages fish floating cultivation both internal and external, to measure adoption level of fish farming in floating cages, analyze the relationship between the farmer characteristic with rate adoption by use coefficient test Spearman rank correlation, and describe the diffusion accelaration procest occured in village of domains. For the diffusion accelaration of the cultivator in Ranah Village have classified low adoption that consist of poor population, low education, no update information more and relation with the stakeholder.   Keyword : Adoption , Aquaculture in cages, Leptobarbus hoevanii

Abstract

This research was conducted in April until Juni 2013 in the Penebal Village. The study aim to understand characteristic of makrozoobenthos (types, abundance, diversity, domination, and equitability) and mangrove density. Method applied was a cases study. Samples of water, sediment fragment, and makrozoobenthos were taken from 3 station, first in the good mangrove forest, second area of mangrove forest wich are already used as shrimp and fish pond , third in the area where most of mangrove has been cut. Parameters measured were abundance, diversity index (H’), dominance index (C), and equitability index (E). Result shown that there were 4 class, consisted of Gastropod (7 species), Bivalve (1 species), Crustacea (1 species), and Polychaeta (2 species). Result shown that makroozoobenthos abundance is strongly related to mangrove density. In the Station 1, the density of mangrove (1.355 trees/ha) as well as that of the makrozoobenthos (146.667 organisms/ha) are the higest. In contrast, in the Stasion 2 the mangrove and the makrozoobenthos abundance are the lowest (322 trees/ha and 50.000 organisms/ha respectively). Water quality parameters in all station slightly different, for station 1 and 2 result of pH is 8 meanwhile for station 3 result of pH is 7. Salinity almost the same is 31 ‰, DO on the range 3,39-4,92. Water temperature, however slightly different, as the stasion 2 (32 °C) is hotter than those of the other station (30 °C in St 1 and 31 °C in St 3).Key words : Makrozoobenthos abundance, Mangrove density, Penebal village

Abstract

The research was to estimate the shelf life of catfish dendeng stored at room temperature (270C) and refrigerated temperature (50C). About 15 kg catfish weighing 600-800 gr each was obtained from a fish market in Pekanbaru. Two groups of dendeng prepared from catfish meat and the products were packed in aluminium foil and stored respectively at room temperature and refrigerated temperature for 49 days. Changes in the quality were analysed for peroxide value and moisture; and the shelf life was estimated by peroxide value and moisture using Arrhenius method. The results indicated that the shelf life of dendeng stored at room temperature and refrigerated temperature had a shelf life of 19,68 days and 26,69 days respectively. Peroxide value the dendeng stored at room temperature and refrigerated temperature at rejection was 21,17 and 18,82 meq/ 1000 g sample respectively; and moisture was 10,904% and 10,867% respectively.Key words : dendeng, shelf life temperature, arrhenius, peroxide, moisture

Abstract

This study has been done on the reefs in the coastal waters of Beralas PasirIsland. It was carried out on May 2013 by deploying LIT method. The aim of thisstudy is to find out the condition of the reefs based on the percentage of HardLiving Coral Cover (HLCC) in the area. For that instance, three stations asrepresentatives were chosen purposively. As a result, the type of reefs in the areaunder study was fringing reef with different condition on each station. The station1 and 2 showed good condition with more than 50 % of HLCC coverage. Yet, itwas in moderate condition for the third station; it was about 29.10 %. There wasno dominant life’s form that found in term of both dominancy index and diversity. Keywords : Beralas Pasir Island, Coral Reef, Condition
