Abstract

This research was conducted from February to April 2015 at Taman Karya Hatchery, Pekanbaru-Riau. This research aims to determine the amount of feed appropriate and optimal for the growth and survival rate of fish tapah (Wallago leeri). The method used is experiments with 3 trial and 3 replications. The treatment are P1 = 3% dosage of the weight biomass, P2 = 5% dosage of the weight biomass and P3 = 7% dosage of the weight biomass. The results showed that the best treatment is P2 (5% dosage of the weight biomass) with the absolute growth weight of 34.5 grams, the absolute length of 6.0 cm, and a daily growth rate of 1.2%. The best results on feed efficiency and survival rate is P1 treatment of 11.9% and 100%.Keyword : Wallago leeri, Dosage fish trash, Domestictation

Abstract

This research was conducted on 12nd May until 23rd July 2015. The aims of thisresearch was to determine the best dose of mangosteen rind (Garcinia mangostanaL.) simplicia addition in feed to increase non-specific immune responses in Africancatfish (Clarias gariepinus). This research used Completely Randomized Design(CRD) with one factor, five treatments and three replications. The treatments wereaddition of mangosteen rind simplicia in feed with different concentration i.e : Kn(without addition of mangosteen rind simplicia and without infected with A.hydrophila), Kp (without addition of mangosteen rind simplicia and infected with A.hydrophila), P1 (addition of mangosteen rind simplicia 2 g/kg of feed and infectedwith A. hydrophila), P2 (addition addition of mangosteen rind simplicia 4 g/kg of feedand infected with A. hydrophila) and P3 (addition of mangosteen rind simplicia 6 g/kgof feed and infected with A. hydrophila). Abstract

This study aims to determine the striped catfish production reviewed from the intensive cultivation of the soil chemical parameters of red-yellow podzolic an age of 0-5 years, 6-10 years, 11-15 years and 16-20 respectively. The method used in this study is the experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 1 factor, 4 levels of treatment and 3 replications, with the treatment are: P1 (intensive pond of catfish aquaculture aged 0-5 years), P2 (intensive pond of catfish aquaculture aged 6-10 years), P3 (intensive pond of catfish aquaculture aged 11-15 years) and P4 (intensive pond of catfish aquaculture aged 16-20 years). The results showed that the striped catfish production in P4 (pond aged 16-20 years) is the best treatment which has a high production of 6.4 kg/m2, with the survival rate of 66,7% and low feed conversion ratio of 1.9%, that supported by the good variety of parameters chemical soil classified, namely: total-N soil of 0,21%, P2O5 capacity of 177.9 ppm, the value of organic material content of 2.20%, cation exchange capacity (CEC) of 10.17% and C/N ratio of 6.14. Water quality parameters during recorded research period are 5.8 to 7.4 pH and temperature ranges 25,5-29,5oC, DO ranged from 1.9 to 5.8 mg/L. The range of pH, temperature and DO is quite good for striped catfish farming. Keywords: Production of striped catfish (Pangasius hypophthalmus), Soil Chemistry

Abstract

This research was conducted from June until August 2015 at Laboratory Aquaculture of Technology University of Riau. The purpose of this research was to investigate growth and survival rate of african catfish with addition bacterial inoculant in bioflocs techniques. This research using experimental method and completely random design (RAL) with three treatment and three replications, there are P1 : every 5 days given bacterial inoculant , P2 : every 10 days given bacterial inoculant, P3 : every 15 days given bacterial inoculant . The result showed that african catfish with addition bacterial inoculant in bioflocs techniques affect significantly on the growth of absolute weight and absolute length growth but does not affect the specific growth rate and survival rate. The best treatment were obtained in treatment every 5 days given bacterial inoculant, with value growth of absolute weight 125,27 g, growth in absolute length 17,43 cm, specific growth rate 8,22% and survival rate 95,78%.Keyword : african catfish, inoculant bacteria, Bioflocs technology

Abstract

The research was conducted on June 1 until July 15, 2015 in Aquaculture Technology Laboratory. The aim of research to determine the growth rate and survival rate of fish damselfish (Anabas testudineus) with different stocking density. This study uses a completely randomized design (CRD) with a factor of three levels of treatment, each level of treatment replications performed three times. The treatment given is Betok fish stocking density 15 fish / container or 300 fish / m3, 20 fish / container or 400 fish / m3 and 25 tails / container or 500 fish / m3. To know the development of fish, every 15 days were measured body weight and total length. Observations indicating that the growth and survival of fish damselfish (Anabas testudineus) with different stocking density was not significantly different with the absolute growth of fish, the absolute length growth, and daily growth rate, but significantly different to the survival of fish. The best results in this study is in treatment P3 with a stocking density of 25 fish. At the treatment resulted in the growth of the absolute weight of 2.27 grams, the absolute length of 2.02 cm, the daily growth of 0.96% and was significantly different to the SR of 77%.Keywords : Growth , Survival, Betok (Anabas testudineus), Stocking Density

Abstract

This research was conducted on April until June 2015, at Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory of Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty, University of Riau. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of ovaprim with different doses on sperm quality of signal barb (L. festivus, Heckel 1843) and for completion of this research then the best dosage obtained through observations on sperm quality will then be injected against gonads mature male brood and then spawned with the female injected with the best dose (0.7 ml/kg body weight). The results showed that ovaprim on doses 0.7 ml/kg body weight gives the best results for the cement volume (0,013 ml/g), concentration (878 x 107), motility (79,46%), viability (84,07 %). results for spawning resulted in average: fertility rate (40,39 %), hatching rate (14,85 %), and survival rate within 5 days (38,07 %). Abstract

This research was conducted from April until July 2015 which is located on the village of Patin Koto Mesjid, Kampar, Riau and the Enviromental Quality Laboratory Cultivation, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences University of Riau. This research was used experimental method, by using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) (Sudjana, 1991). Then, it is used 4 levels of the treatment (P1, P2, P3,and P4). The research procedure in this study are : 1) The choice of location which is suitable with the desired of pool age; 2) Making the sample of test; 3) measuring several parameters of the quality of soil physical. The result showed that the age of a different pool influence on some parameters of physical properties of soil and water quality parameters during the research. Besides that, during the research it is found the best treatment for pH parameters contained in P2 treatment ranges from 6.56-6.71, Parameter BV best soil treatment is at the treament P2 it is ranged 1.69-1.49g/cm3 for the treatment of texture parameters P1,P2,P4 soil fraction is Clay Loam Sandy and Clay soil fraction for P3, for the parameters soil color of the treatment P1, P2 Dull yellow orange P3, P4 Grayish yellow brown. Keywords: Pangasius sucthii, Red Yellow Poszolic
