Abstract

This research was conducted on May 2015 in Kampar river waters, BuluhCina village, Siak Hulu District, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. The purpose ofthis study was to determine the webbing is effective for catching fish (Rasbora sp)using gill nets. The data collected in this study include the type of fish, the amountof fish caught in weight (grams), individuals (tail) and fish caught are snagged, gilled, wedged and entangled hereinafter abbreviated as SGWE. Data wereanalyzed, namely the amount of catches and how to Rasbora sp caught in gill netsby using completely randomized design (CRD), with three treatments and 10repetitions. Webbing different obtainable catches Rasbora sp the most is the whitewebbing that as many as 234 fish with a weight of 6,027 grams, and the least isthe blue webbing as much as 78 tails, weighing 2,078 grams. The results ofANOVA for the number and weight of fish catches Rasbora sp obtained Fhit>Ftab the meaning of there is a significant effect between treatments wereattempted. The white color is more effective fishing gear to catch fish (Rasborasp) using gill nets. Keywords: webbing, gill nets.

The purpose of this study was to determine the origin of seeds is also the number of seeds for one year and to know how the seed marketing chain, and this study also aims to determine the price of the seed at the level of producers and consumers. The results showed that the seeds supplied from Koto Malintang, Bayur, Lubuk Basung, and from Tanjung Sani it self. Within one year of Tilapia fish seed is supplied 70.956 million, and 22.518 million fish Mas seed . Marketing seed from outside through an intermediary supplier and the seed of the Tanjung Sani directly to consumers. The price of Tilapia fish seed from suppliers is Rp 110 / seed, while from fish farmer is Rp 100 / fry, the price of fish Mas seed of supplies is Rp 115 / seed, while from seeding is Rp 105 /seed.Keywords: Seed Supply,Floating Net Cage, Pricing, Marketing Chain

Abstract

This research was conducted on March 2015. The research is aim to know the investment costs, gross income, nett income, feasibility and the business prospect of fishing rearing labor in cages in the future. The method used for this research is survey method with the purposive sampling method for determinations of respondent.According to the result of the research, we can see that the result of the financial analysis and the feasibility from the labor as follows : for 10 squares keramba we found Rp 168864333 of total investment, 260400000 gross income, 147605033 nett income, 2.30 BCR and 90.63 FRR. For 8 squares keramba, we found Rp 158153833 of total investment, Rp 279300000 gross income, RpJOM : Vol. 27 Oktober 2015192088667 nett income, 2.65 BCR and 187,20 FRR. For 5 squares keramba we found Rp 102606340 of total investment, Rp 191600000 gross income, Rp 126615360 nett income, 2.94 BCR and 123.40 FRR. Fishing rearing labor in cages in Sedanau Village has a promising prospect seen from the income they got, yet to make a sustainable work for the cultivator in Sedanau Village, it still faced the problem of limited seed from the waters pollution in around.Key Words: Business Prospect, Financial Analysis, Pen Aqua Culture

Abstract

The effect of types of natural food and their combinations on growth and survival rate of tambaqui (Collossoma macropomum) larvae was conducted at the Fish Hatchery and Breeding Lalboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Riau in 18-L recirculating water system aquaria for 6 weeks rearing period. Six-days old larvae were stocked at density of 30 larvae/ aquarium and fed with Artemia nauplii for 6 weeks (treatment 1), water fleas 6 weeks (Treatment 2); tubifex worm 6 weeks (Treatment 3); Artemia nauplii 3 weeks followed by tubifex worm 3 weeks (treatment 4); water fleas 3 weeks followed by tubifex worm 3 weeks (Treatment 5) and Artemia nauplii 2 weeks, followed by water fleas 2 weeks and lasted by tubifex worm 2 weeks (Treatment 6). The weight gain (2.2 g) and specific growth rate (9.75%/day) were significantly higher for larvae fed with tubifex worm for 6 weeks than those fed with artemia and water flea or their combinations. Therefore, the survival rate of larvae was best (74.4%) when fed with either artemia nauplii followed by tubifex worm or water flea followed by tubifex worm.Key words: Natural food, artemia nauplii, water flea, tubifex worm, collossoma macropomum larvae

Abstract

The effect of combination of stocking density and food types on gonad maturity and egg quality of hard lipped barb (Osteochillus hasselti CV) was conducted from April to June 2015 at the Laboratory of Fish Hatchery and Breeding, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences University of Riau. The broodstocks were reared in the 300-L cages placed in 3x2x1 m concrete tank for 80 days rearing period. The treatments were stocking density 20 fish/cage fed on tubifex worm (SD-20-TB), SD 20 fed on pellet dry feed (PL); SD-20 fed on PL+Vit E; SD-30 TB; SD30 PL; SD30 PL+VitE; SD40, TB; SD40 PL and SD40 PL+VitE. Fish stocked at 20 fish fed on PL+VitE produced the best result in term on the number of Fish reached at mature stage (Maturity Stage IV), (50%), fecundity (360 eggs/g fish) , Gonado Somatic Index (GSI, 14.7%), egg diameter (0.94 mm) and percent egg maturity was 75%. Temperature range of 29-30 oC, pH 5-6, and dysolved oxygen of 2.43-3.18 mg/L. Key words : Oseochillus hasselti; stocking density; feed types, Vitamin E, gonad maturity, egg quality

Abstract

This study was conducted from May to July 2015 in the laboratory of AquacultureTechnology Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Riau. The aim of thisstudy was to determine the best stocking density for the growth and survival of fish juaro(Pangasus polyuranodon Blkr). The method used was experimental method by using acompletely randomized design with three treatments and three replications. The treatments inthis study were P1 (2 tails/72 liters of water), P2 (4 tails/72 liters of water), P3 (6 tails/72liters of water)The results showed thatfish rearing juaro using a 2-tailed / 72 liters of water, the rateof growth of the weight of the fish absolute highest juaro 7.03g, 1.16% daily growth rate with100% survival rate and the results of water quality measurements for the study is thetemperature 27-300C, 6.57 to 6.77 pH, dissolved oxygen (DO) from 4.5 to 6.5 ppm/l andammonia (NH3) is 0.015 ppm. Keywords: Solid stocking, maintenance, juaro (Pangasius polyuranodon Blkr)1. Abstract

This research was conducted on February 23th until March 23rd 2015 held at Brackishwater Aquaculture Development Center Jepara, Central of Java. This research aimed to know the growth and survival rate of Grouper (Cromileptes altivelis) with different combination and percentage treatment of feed. The method used in this study was an experimental method with Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with one factor and three replication there were, P1 (90% fresh trash fish ; 10% pellet), P2 (70% fresh trash fish ; 30% pellet), P3 (50% fresh trash fish ; 50% pellet). In this research were used a grouper with total length 5cm and total weight 2,5 g, were than kept in plastics tank with 30 cm diameter and 18 cm height were tied with plastic’s rope on the pipe. The results showed that different combination and percentage treatment of feed gave effects with grouper’s growth and the survival rate. The best percentage of treatment was P1 (90% fresh trash fish ; 10% pellet) with total weight 5,65 g, specific growth rate 2,34%, and the survival rate 100%.Key word: Grouper, Growth, Survival rate, Feed combination
