Abstract

This research aims to analyze a turbine machine of gas power plant in Tanjung Datuk, Riau by using Overall Equipment Effetiveness (OEE), which one of tool of TMP method to increase effectiveness, to improve the function and performance of machine/ equpment. To analyse of OEE values were calculated the value of availability rate, performance rate and quality rate that can used to eliminating six big losses in machine/equipment. The research methodology was collection OEE data, calculation of six big losses. Mean Time to Failure (MTTF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) then statistical analyse of OEE and six big losses.MTTF and MTTR data using index of fit . From the OEE calculations obtained on the gas turbine engine was stillbelow world class (66.89%) and the target at company (90%). From the analysis of of six big losses known to affect the low value of OEE gas turbine engine that was reduce speed losses. The calculation of index of fit value of MTTF on gas turbine blade was 1,008.86 hours (42 days) and MTTR value of 1.37 hours. Therefore it would be advantage to the company in this case study to implement the pillars of TPM such as planned maintenance and autonomous maintenance to improve the effectiveness and performance of gas turbine engine for stability in supplying electricity.Keywords : Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), TPM, Six Big Losses, MTTF, MTTR.

Abstract

Software Defined Network (SDN) is a centralized network where control plane and data plane embedded in different systems. However, controller is an indivual threat to the security of data packet that passes OpenFlow Network. Security on a computer network is the top priority in designing a network. This research is performed by designing a tree network topology in SDN from and simulated on the mininet software. Then, snort activation is done on protected Host with snort detection system. Attack test is done on Host 8 as an Attacker and Host 1 becomes the Target of attack using hping3 application. Test results of Ddos attack by Host 8 uses IP Address 192.168.10.14 and Host 1 uses IP Address 192.168.10.7. Attack priority level is done on Level 1 (high attack category). After detection by snort, notification is displayed on BASE with intrusion that processed by IDS with UDP messagesKeywords : SDN, Ddos, Security Network, Snort

Abstract

Pome is one of liquid waste from palm oil mill. There’s quite big amount of this waste which can be converted to a biogas and used as an electrical energy source. In this research, we conduct a survey to ultilization POME use as a raw material for biogas power plant at pt ramajaya pramukti which is located in kampar regency riau province. pt ramajaya pramukti is a palm oil mill that has a palm oil production capacity of 60 ton / hour. Type of data used in this analysis is a secondary data which includes FFB data and the discahrge of waste produced by the factory itself. In january 2017 PT.Ramajaya Pramukti process 20,722.799 ton of FFB and produce 11,056 m3 of pome. The lowest ffb processing is occured in june 12,363.807 ton which produce 7,079 m3 of pome. This result of pome utilization potential in pt ramajaya promukti is used as a raw material for biogas power plant which generate electricity as big as 4.09 mwh in January 2017 and 2.12 mwh in june 2017.. Abstract

Watersheds management can be evaluated by the criteria of its preservation. The main criteria of watershed`s preservation is the environment goodness which lies on land use, water system, social, economy, and institutions. The criteria of stream system can be scored from several indicators, such as : stream`s regim coefficient, coefficient of variation, water utilization index, and runoff coefficient. This research aimed to find out the classification result from the reviewed parameters on Rokan Kiri Sub Watershed based on rules by Peraturan Direktur Jenderal Rehabilitasi Lahan dan Perhutanan Sosial No. P.04/V-SET/2009. On this research, it has been done the analysis steps and the computation about stream system`s criteria by stream`s discharge indicators. The result of this research has shown that stream system`s condition with indicator of stream`s regim coefficient valued 223,92 which placed on low class, indicator of variation coefficient valued 0,73 which placed on low class, indicator of water usement index scored 0,0035 which placed on well class, and coefficient runoff valued 0,27 which placed on medium class.Keywords : Stream System, Stream`s regim coefficient, Coefficient of Variation, Water utilization Index, Runoff Coefficient.

Abstract

Peat is a soft organic soil formed from the decomposition of plants caused by several factors.  The largest peatland area in Indonesia located in Sumatra island. And 60,08% orapproximately 3.867.413 hectares of peatlands of Sumatra island located in Riau Province (Agency for Agricultural Research and Development of the Ministry of Agriculture, 2011). In the dry season on peatlands in Riau frequent fires. One among the method to reduce the risk of peat fires are compaction and stabilization. A stabilizing agent selected is limestone (CaCO3) and Porland Composite Cement(PCC). The purpose of this study to determine the optimum composition lime and cement to the stabilization of burning peat. Optimum moisture content was taken 100% based on Hadijah(2006) in Octriyana (2010). In UCS test, the highest percentage increase occured in variations Peat+5%CaCO3+15%PCC is equal to 59,44% from the value of q¬u pure peat soils. In CBR test, the highest percentage valueobtained in variation Peat+5%CaCO3+15%PCC is equal to 100,17% of CBR pure peat. While in burning process, peat with additive has a burning point and ash point more longerthan pure peat. With the additon of lime(CaCO3) and PCC cement, it can slow combustion process.Keywords: Peat Soils, PCC Cement, CaCO3,CBR, UCS,Burning Point, Ash Point

Abstract

This study aims to produce biodiesel from callophylum oil by using heterogeneous clay catalyst from Palas village. Characteristic of clay catalyst for biodiesel synthesis that will be analyzed in this research such as Si/Al ratio, surface area and pore size. Clay catalyst is made by grinding the clay until its size -100 +200 mesh. Clay was activated using H2SO4 solution with variation of the concentration 0,5 N, 1 N and 2 N. The mixture is filtered using a vacuum pump and calcined at 300 ºC for 3 hours. The producing of biodiesel through two stages: esterification and transesterification. In transesterification, clay catalyst is used having variation of catalyst weight was 0,1%, 0,5% and 1%, sample of oil 50 gram and ratio oil and methanol 1:9. The reaction lasted for 60 minutes at 60 ºC. The largest biodiesel yield on the use of 1% clay catalyst with variation of acid 1 N i.e. 89,50%. Characteristics of catalyst has a high Si/Al and a surface area ratio respectively 25,74 and 37,641 m2/gr, and pores are scattered on the surface. Biodiesel produced in accordance with predefined standards (SNI 7128:2015).Keywords: biodiesel, callophylum oil, Palas clay, transesterification.

Abstract

Intellegent Transportation System (ITS) is a system for solving transportation problems that offers safety, efficiency, and comfort in traffic. Implementation of Vehicular Ad Hoc Network (VANET) that is part of a development of ITS. VANET can be a new innovation in the world of technology that allows to communicate vehicle between vehicle and vehicles with infrastructure. VANET has high node mobility and a routing protocol is required to support VANET communications. In this paper, one of the protocols used are position based routing protocols is Greedy Perimeter Stateless Protocols (GPSR). Density of vehicles in Pekanbaru city make the main problem for implementing VANET communication. VANET communications will result of Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR), end to end delay and routing overhead. In this research, scenario used are 50 node scenario and speed scenario at 10 m/s. The simulation result of VANET with GPSR routing protocol based position shows PDR, end to end delay and data routing value are 99.4860%; 0.0057 seconds dan 6756 packet.Keyword :Intellegent Transportation System, Vehicular ad hoc Network, Greedy Perimeter Stateless Routing

Abstract

At the substation Garuda Sakti there are four power transformer units that is 2 units of 60 MVA and 50 MVA 2 units that supply power to the entire territory of Pekanbaru. Needed a reliable protection system to overcome the problems, including short circuit and overload disorders. The amount of short circuit current that may occur on an electrical system needs to be known before the actual disturbance occurred. Therefore it is necessary to set the relay overcurrent (OCR) is good so that the relay can protect electrical equipment from current short circuit or overload.Keyword : OCR

Abstract

The irrigation system in fields at Bantan Tengah Village, Bengkalis Regency not be function maximally. It seens from the inability of the irigation channel and sluice to flow the discharge. The flood occured the paddy field around the research location become overflow. Flood analysis do with evaluate the dimension of channel and sluice then compare it with the discharge which count by Rational Method. Channel dimension analysis count by software HEC-RAS 4.0. The profile analysis do with 4 types of simulation of two return period, which is 5 years and 10 years. Result of the research show in existing condition known maximum high of the overflow occured for frequently 5 years is 72 cm at tide and 78 cm at wave then for frequently 10 years is 77 cm at tide and 82 cm at wave. The modification accomplish by change the dimension of width bottom the channel from 0,8 m to 1,5 m so it be able to overcome the flood maximally.Keywords: Flood, Rational Method, HEC-RAS 4.0

Abstract

Drought is the decrease in the amount of rainfall from its normal condition and depends on how long it lasts. This study aims to determine the characteristics of drought that occurs in the longest duration of drought and the largest number of drought in the location of rain stations spread in Palambayan basin. Then can be used as early warning of drought disaster and help for the interest of planning design at Palambayan watershed. The method used to analyze drought is Run Theory method. The location of the study was in the Palambayan Basin of West Sumatra Province. The data used are monthly rainfall for 10 years (2007-2016) from 2 rain stations located in the Palambayan River Basin and 1 Rain Station located outside the Palambayan River Basin. The results showed that the largest cumulative drought occurred in 2008 of 283.49 mm at Muaro Tantang rain station. For the longest duration of drought is 9 months in 2009. Based on the result of drought distribution map using Geographic Informaton System (GIS), the worst drought station is Gumarang Station.Keywords: Drought Analysis, Run Theory, Drought Index
