Abstract

The availability of data on hydrological modeling always become a problem considering the incompleteness and the imprecision of data. As the development of technology, many models of hidrology using data acquired from the satellite have emerged. The accuracy and the model correlation was still unachieved from the previous research using satellite data. This problems was caused by the unstable weather conditions thus the process of recording and dowloading of the satellite data become less optimum. hence this research conducts the modeling of rainfall-runoff to improve the effectivity of satellite rainfall model by using the ground rainfall data, such as satellite rainfall data modification to improve the accuracy and the correlation of the model using IFAS program in Indragiri Watershed, Riau Province. The research conducted simulation, calibration for 2004 and verification for 2006. The result of the research showed that upon satellite rainfall modification for 2004 an increase in the effectiviness of the satellite rainfall model with increased accuracy and correlation on hydrological modeling with coefficient of correlation (R) value 0,811, volume error (VE) 0,099%, and coefficient of efficiency (CE) 0,520.Keywords: rainfall-runoff modeling, satellite rainfall, ground rainfall, satellite rainfall modification, IFAS.

Abstract

Teluk Kuantan is the capital of Kuantan Singingi district. Teluk Kuantan as expansion city needs to build public facilities one of which is modern shopping center. It is important because todescribe progress of a city and also can improve community economy matters. Modern shopping center in Teluk Kuantan apply of theme modern architecture by using an organic concept. Organic according to Iain Thomson in book of A Visual Encyclopedia of Frank Lloyd Wright is planning and designing by taking the resources from nature in the form of living creatures or related to living organism, as main of the form and function of the building. Design of shopping centers by using nature as a basic concept of the building can be applied if the chosen site has natural potential. In designing a modern shopping center there are some factors that need to be considered. These factors among the selection of appropriate area, designing buildings that can provide comfort for visitors, the use of the structure proper construction, material selection, and implementation of the utility system. Abstract

Enthusiastic people about artistry in Pekanbaru progressively increasing. It is characterized by the presence of music festivals and other art events in the frequency of routine in Pekanbaru. This phenomenon is inversely proportional to the infrastructure that supports arts activities. Beside it, performing arts venues are now insufficient to meet the needs of visitors and not the maximum in the public interest will be art. In the construction of the Opera House was not spared from its impact on the surrounding environment. Construction, operation and demolition are responsible for some of the effect that occurs in nature such as greenhouse gas emissions, declining air quality, a lack of groundwater flow and depletion of natural resources. Seeing the impact that occurs from the current development are not concerned with the environmental aspects it is fitting the concept of eco-architecture applied to the foundation of the current development. Opera House is using the concept of Eco-Building Perform meaningful combination of the results of space created from the activities and the natural surroundings which are both interconnected to create a building that can provide and benefit from the surrounding environment.Key word: Opera House, Perform Eco-Building, Eco-Architecture.

Abstract

Pekanbaru is a famous city for the diversity of society who inhabit this city. The plural of society produce a diversity of culturally diverse artistic heritage anyway, so it takes a container to preserve the artistic and cultural heritage that heritage is not lost and remains a hallmark of the Pekanbaru city. Art Museum which is a vehicle to capture and document the activities and events and historic objects, especially with regard to art and culture is the answer of the need for the container to preserve the heritage of art and culture in the city is auspicious. In designing an art museum in Pekanbaru, the design approach is more emphasis on the application of the principle of Tropical Architecture with the aim that the academy is able to answer a variety of issues related to tropical climate that houses which is place on Pekanbaru. Some of the principles of TropicalArchitecture that will be applied in the design is: (1) Orientation of the building; (2) Optimization of natural aeration; (3) The use of the stage; (4) Shape slanted roof conditions: (5) vegetation. With the complexity of climate-relatd issue in Pekanbaru, then it would be better if this Pekanbaru Artmuseum design with the approach of Tropical Architecture. So that by applying the principles of Tropical Architecture in this design is expected to generate a good art museum for users and arouse people's desire to re-apply the principles of Tropical Architecture in designing various kinds of buildings in Indonesia, especially in the Pekanbaru city.Keywords: Art Museum, Tropical Architecture, Principle.

Abstract

The development of lifestyle in this modern times make people have to behave according to the development of lifestyle. The development in the form of activity, the way to dress, the use of product, and especially in shaping the ideal body. There are many ways to shape the ideal body, one of the way is by doing fitness activities. Fitness is someone who conduct excessive activities without feeling weariness. Fitness facilities such as gymnastic activities, spa treatments, and sporting venues such as swimming pools, tennis courts, gymnastic fields. Those facilities are the fitness places (gym) that follow the development of lifestyle. Every fitness places (gym) has visitors with different behavior for each function. Therefore fitness places (gym) must accommodate every visitors’ behavior. Behavioralarchitecture is an architecture that is able to respond the need of every behavior of human being. The application of behavioral architecture at each facility will be variant. But basically, every design has a concept that will become the basic design. The concept of flexibility of space in the design is a concept based on function and human behavior that is in it. Flexibility of space has meaning as easy to bent; not rigid; dynamic. So that a space with this concept is able to respond to some of the visitors’ behavior with the flexibility and dynamism. Abstract

The importance of an environment/event that is specifically to organize and focus its function to a wedding will make the couple easier to set a very sacred event and it is important towards a household that is the main goall of all couples.This buildings provides many function that is related and important to the event. From those functions, the couple who will get married should not be complicated to go to many places, it is only come to this environment/event. In designing, wedding facilities intergrated used postmodern architecture approach. The design of wedding facilities intergrated by applying the concept of dynamic, ethnic, and modern which is the basic concept for determining the design in accordance with the theme of postmodern. By the concept, wedding facilities intergrated can implement these apsects that can respond to the design, it can be order of mass, mass formation, and the application of contextual method. Tembilahan is one of The districts located in Indragiri Hilir regency in Riau Province. The development of The culinary world in The affluent neighborhood Tembilahan city is growing rapidly. Can be seen from many places Tembilahan culinary region are not arranged placement. Tembilahan there are not yet facilities that facilitate activities of the culinary field. Businesses that can be done to meet needs of The community in the culinary world as a means of educational, informative, and this commercial need for a container that meets the needs of the community will have the culinary world in an area which facilitate the public to obtain information and recreation culinary. Tembilahan Culinary Area design, design approach adopted is tropical architecture. Abstract

As one of the countries that have high interest of football, the lack of achievement of the Indonesian national team in the international arena is a problem that must be solved if one daywant to see Indonesia in the World Cup. The main problems are in the coaching of young players which only relies on community initiatives and football competition in Indonesia is still lesscompetitive. Nusantara Football Academy is the solution of various problems related to a long time and process and substantial funds to improve football coaching system in Indonesia. With the academy is expected to produce a professional football player who can compete in the internationalarena. Pekanbaru as one of the major cities that have a lot of young talent and the high interest of football should take an active role in improving the football coaching system in Indonesia. In the design of this academy, tropical architecture approach is used to answer a variety of issues relatedto climate conditions that affect site. Some of the principles of Tropical Architecture applied in the design, such us: (1) orientation of the building; (2) Optimization of natural aeration; (3) Percentage of green spaces; (4) Responsive to environmental conditions. The concept of Total Football was chosen to solve the various problems that arise during the design process of Nusantara Football Academy. This concept is applied in all architectural design aspects of Nusantara Football Academy, such as: the order of mass, mass formation, landscaping and interior arrangement, up to building facades. Order mass efficient, simple mass formation, structuringlandscaping and attractive interior and facade that are adapted to the environmental conditions are the result of the application of the concept of Total Football in Nusantara Football Academydesign.Keywords: Football Academy, Nusantara, Tropical Architecture, Total Football.

Abstract

Riau Province as one of the largest oil-producing province in Indonesia need a place to take care of and show off the results of the oil. Geological Museum emerged as one solution to showcase the results of the oil, rocks and other mining products. So, people can learn the procedures and results of oil and mining in the province of Riau. The design of geological museum uses modern architecture approach, the museum is applying the characteristics of modern architecture in those architectural aspects such as: (1) mass form; (2) The structure system; (3) facadematerial; (4) The circulation space. Clarity and  Simplicity concept chosen as the basic concept design. Clarity and Simplicity concept is produce a simple design museum and it will make it easier for visitors to see the variousfacilities provided by the geological museum. The results of design applied to geological museum such as zoning, structure, order of mass, mass formation, structure and arrangementof space in outer space. In the shape of building produces a simple building shape and the clearlycirculation will make visitor easier to going around. The design of this geologicalmuseum has 1.3 hectares land area and 1.02 hektares for total building areas.Keywords: Geological Museum, Modern Architecture, Clarity and Simplicity

Abstract

Pekanbaru is the city that is open to the development of art and culture. It can be seen from many art activities are held. According to its development, the arts in Riau, especially Pekanbaru City still lack a place that can accommodate the activities of the art. It needs a place of art gallery as a place to express their emotion into a work of art and art gallery as well as a place of learning for the city of Pekanbaru. Development of Pekanbaru nowadays, modern buildings began to appear, but still using Riau Malay carving decoration, therefore, this art gallery will be designed by applying the method of Tropical Deco architecture, that also uses carved decoration as its characteristics, so it can adapt to surrounding building. In order to design art gallery is designed by applying Tropical Deco as concept, the characteristics of art deco architecture that are customized to the natural tropical conditions like Pekanbaru City area. The result of those application are implemented in the design of the Art Gallery such as zoning, the order of mass, outer space, shape of mass, interior space, and building facades.Keywords: Art Deco Architecture, Art Gallery, Tropical deco
