Abstract

The need for a system for remote controlling is increasing in line with the era of globalization in which migration and movement of people more widely and quickly. So far, the public can control something remotely by using the remote control. However, such control is hampered by distance, if the distance between the tool is controlled by the controller passes the tolerance limit, then the equipment can not function as desired. From the above, the authors use of internet technology to make long-distance control system. The method is performed by utilizing the cloud computing facilities at google drive. Using Visual Basic 2010 to build an interface that allows the user in controlling electrical equipment integrated in a USB Comm Port. Results from this study are electrical appliances can be controlled from a distance with minimum delay 12s.Keywords; Internet, Visual Basic, Google Drive, Usb Comm Port, Cloud Computing

Abstract

The antenna has a big role either in high or low frequency of wireless communication. In transmission process, antenna also become a determinant factor of successful communication between transmitter and receiver. In this project, we will design an omnidirectional antenna that will be connected with electrical unit measurement device. To make analyzing process easier, ansoft hfss 13.0 software will be used. The simulation results show that the antenna can work well at frequency of 433 MHz, return loss 13.3955, gain 2.71 and VSWR 1.5. the simulated radiation pattern agrees well with measured radiation pattern that is omnidirectional.Keywords : Keywords : wireless, omnidirectional, VSWR, prototype

Abstract

Analysis level reliability of this study using methods the section technique. Objectives to be presented in this study provide information about reliability of the substation 6DN PT.Chevron Pacific Indonesia. By dividing the distribution network based methods of calculating level of reliability section technique, which impacts the perceived failure of the same component if the occurrence of the disorders that cause system outages. Step by step execution of this study include collecting data, performing calculations failure parameter, calculating the reliability index SAIDI (System Average Interruption Duration Index) and SAIFI (System Average Interuption Frequency Index). The calculating result obtained by using method section technique SAIFI = 2.272817955 time/year and SAIDI = 1.859914796 hour/year. With existing standard in Indonesia as SPLN 68-2 1986 has values SAIFI (System Average Frequency Duration Index) is 3.2 time/year and SAIDI (System Average Interruption Duration Index) is 21 hour/year, the index reliability of the distribution system substation 6DN still in the category reliable. With an international standards such as IEEE Std. 1366-2000 SAIDI reliability index value of the distribution system substation 6DN smaller than the value of SAIDI IEEE Std.1366-2000, for the value of reliability index SAIFI substation 6DN larger than value index SAIFI IEEE Std. 1366-2000.Keywords : Section technique, reliability, system distribution

Abstract

Infrared sensor and photodiode is widely used in a wide variety of applications, ranging from the military field, health and so forth. Infrared sensor and photodiode can detect any objects that pass nearby, it is because the infrared sensor and photodiode has a high sensitivity. The railway gate security system, infrared sensor very helpful. The secutiry systems designed using LabVIEW can work by monitoring sensors connected to the microcontroller Arduino Uno. The program on Arduino microcontroller designed by entering commands to be execute. To run the simulations, LabVIEW and Arduino should be interfaced first in order to communicate well. Abstract

Transformer is a tool to transfer electricity power inter two or more electricity circuit through electro magnetic induction. Transformer consist of two parts, they are primary and secondary part, every part consist of several coils with the certain number and zise. In the making transformer, rolling process is made repeatedly in order to reach the standarized transformer criteria it took time and effort hardly to reduce this impact. It is needed a tool which can rool fastly and automaticly. This tool used 200Vac motor and 1350 RPM speed as the roller, so that it can reach the source electric power and fast speed for autoprocess. It uses ATMEGA8535 microcontroller as the main cycle where the microcontroller receive the number of coil through keypad interface. Microcontroller controls the roller motor by comparing the coils numbers which is entered by the coil numbers processed by the motor. The coil number detection processed by ten magnetic sensor through statical magnet which was available on the shaft of the motor. Comparatorchanges the sensor output voltage into digital pulses. This digital were counted by the microcontroller where every ten pulses equal one coils is same with the input number, it means the microcontroller shut down the motor.Keywords: Transformer, Motor, ATMEGA8535, Magnetic sensor, Comparator.

Abstract

One of networks which can support voice traffic is LTE. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect increased number of user and other traffic to Voice over IP traffic in LTE Network. Simulation study is done by NS 2.33 (Network Simulator 2.33) which consist of two scenario. First scenario use 1 server, 1 gateway, 1 eNodeB with increased number of user until 65, on the other hand second scenario use 1 server, 1 gateway, 1 eNodeB with increased number of user until 65 and add constant bit rate traffic.The research shows that increased number of user will effect the value of average througput, average delay, and average jitter. Meanwhile adding constant bit rate traffic has more significant effect to the value of average delay and average jitter.The highest throughput in scenarios 1 and 2 is achieved with a value of 46714.6 kbps and 57113.3 kbps respectively. Futhermore the lowest delay in scenarios 1 and 2 achieved with a value of 0.053 ms and 0.102 ms. Finaly the lowest jitter in scenarios 1 and 2 achieved with a value of 0.0338503 ms and 0.0169908 ms.Keywords : LTE, NS 2, VoIP

Abstract

Abstract

To keep stability in power supply distribution, PT. Pulp and Paper used loop distribution system in their main substation. This thing caused possibilty of short-circuit current may exceed circuit breaker’s capability. So we need to limiting that short-circuit current not exceed capability of existing circuit breaker. Short-circuit calculation will be done in main substationbus. With keeping possibilty of short-circuit current in secure level, so possibility of shortcircuit current that will happened in load bus will not exceed circuit breaker’s capability. Fromthe calculation of 3 phase short-circuit current IEC 60909 standard using ETAP Power Station 11, noted that 3 phase short-circuit making current at AC 4, AC 11, and AC 15 substation stillexceed circuit breaker’s capabilty . With added current limiting reactors at outgoing TC 40, TC 11, and TC 15 transformer with value of the reaktans eachone 0.37779 ohm, 0.13203 ohm,and 0.21701 ohm, the short-circuit making current at AC 4 substation decrease from 73.014 kA to 62.734 kA, at AC 11 substation decrease from 67.407 kA to 62.421 kA, and at AC 15substation decrease from 70.930 kA to 62.731 kA. Abstract

Pekanbaru city is a city located in an area that has a large enough lightning density level that is equal to 136 days per year with a density of lightning strikes to the ground (Ng) reached19,5128 strikes/ km2/ year. So it can endanger the high buildings as being in PT. TELKOM Pekanbaru. PT. TELKOM Pekanbaru is the central distribution of data throughout the RiauMainland telecommunication, where it needs a reliable protection system. The aim of this study is to introduce a new method introduced in the IEEE publication, IEEE 998TM-2012, on the lightning protection called EGM Eriksson method. This study uses a Eriksson EGM method to analyze the composition of the air terminal building PT. TELKOM Pekanbaru, which will then determine the area of protection of the external lightning protection system All of this analysis is described in three dimensions using Sketchup 2015 and showed good protection results.Keywords : lightning protection, EGM, Eriksson

Abstract

Network development especially the substation can not be separated from the problem of area availability and load which is served on those areas. The placement of the substation should be located close to load centers, so it have network with a wide local area service. To determine area's load center of the next few years can be used with forecast of the long-term electrical loads using micro-spatial method, this method divides the load area into a view grid according to reign administration is the sub-district. This method uses datas related to electricity, socioeconomic, and demographic. In determining the grid peak load (districts) is calculated based on four groups of loads (sectoral). these are the household sector, industrial, commercial, and social. The approach taken in the micro-spatial method uses multiple linear regression model. To follow the trend of land use, then use the dependent variable with peak load's density. Results of peak load density is associated with the land use every sector, for peak load on those area. peak load forecast results for the city of Pekanbaru from 2015 to 2024 indicates a growth rate that varies every area from 4.3% to 20.9%, and growth of peak load average based on sectoral, are household sector 9.22%, industry 13.28%, commercial 7.95%, and social 9.39%. While the peak load of Pekanbaru City increased from 320.6 MVA in 2015 into 717.5 MVA in 2024.Keywords: Electricity load forecast, Micro spatial, sectoral.
