Abstract

Abstract: This research was aimed to describe the level of sains generic skill at the second year students of MIA program of SMA 8 Pekanbaru toward student’s competency of calor material and it’s movement. This research was a survey research. The result of the data analysis used descriptive analysis which described the level of student’s sains generic skill. The subject of this research was 76 students of MIA program at the second year. The data gotten from this research was in average percentages of the student’s level of sains generic skill in solving the physics phenomenon. This instrument was developed based on the indicators of sains generic skill. Then, the data was categorized based on the level of sains generic skill category namely directly observation, non-directly observation, language symbolic, logical inference, cause effect relationship, modeling of math, awareness of big scale, and concept construction. Based on the data analysis showed that the average percentages of each indicators as follows: 75,72% for directly observation, 47,07 % for non-directly observation, 69,01 % for language symbolic, 78,91 % for logical inference, 68,13 % for cause effect relationship, 69,54 % for modeling of math, 58,49 % for awareness of big scale, and 65,07 % for concept construction. The overall percentages of the students’ generic sains skill was 67,16% categorized into high level. The highest percentage was 72, 37 % and the lowest percentage was 27,63%.Key words: Sains generic skill, Solving problem, Logical thinking.

Abstract

Abstract: The objective of this research was to develop the student’s activity sheet on reaction rate subject. This research was a reseach and development (R & D) with the 4-D model that comprise of Definition, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. It was only to developed phase and limited tryout. The research was located in FKIP Riau University. The students’ activity sheet were used as research objects based on discovery learning. The research was analyzed by descriptive statistic, that calculated by percentage of validation value. The average of four aspects of student’s activity sheet by validator’s team, such as properness of the content, languages, course and graphical were 90,50%,, 86,67%, 89,50%, and 93,75%, respectively. So, the average totality of student’s activity sheet based on the discovery learning was 90,37% that means valid criteria, the LKPD Developed was proper to use. In addition, the percentage of students response on LKPD was 90% with very good criteria.Keywords: Student Activity Sheet, Discovery Learning, and Reaction Rate.

Abstract

Abstract: This research discuss about the effectiveness of think pair share technique in increasing the mastery of Japanese vocabulary for XI IPS 1 students of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study to determine whether the technique of think pair share effective to improve mastery of Japanese vocabulary class XI IPS 1 students of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. In this study, the writer used a weak experimental research design with marked by the absence of class comparison. The technique of collecting data by giving a test. The test results on pretest and posttest are increase, on pretest the students'average score is 66,5 whereas on posttest is 83. The test results are processed using statistical t-test manually to find out how much significant level of students learning outcomes when using the think pair share technique. Based on statistical test data processing found to = 7.78 and tt = 2.85 (5% significant level), to tt then H0 rejected and Ha accepted, it means that significant influence on the effectiveness of think pair share technique in increasing the mastery of Japanese vocabulary class XI IPS 1 of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru.Keywords: Learning Vocabulary, Technique Think Pair Share, SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru

Abstract

Abstract : This research is based on the low motivation of learning PPKn of the students at SMP Negeri 1 Benai. The formulation of the problem in this research is "Is there any significant effect of using Wheel of Fortune learning model toward students’ motivation in learning PPKn at SMP Negeri 1 Benai Kecamatan Benai Kabupaten Kuantan Singing ?". This study aims to determine the effect of using Wheel of Fortune learning model toward students’ motivation in learning PPKn at SMP Negeri 1 Benai Kecamatan Benai Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Benai in February 2018. This research was a quantitative descriptive which is experimental research which the students of grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Benai became the population in this study. The sample in this research was taken based on "Random Sampling" technique. Where the class taken into the sample was students of class VIII.a (experimental class) given the learning model of Wheel of Fortune, and class VIII.c (control class) were students who were given the conventional method. Then data analysis by using homogeneity test and "t" test. Based on the result of research indicated that there was an effect of learning motivation between student who using Wheel of Fortune learning model and conventional method in SMP Negeri 1 Benai ( > ). Where there was an average increase toward motivation in learning PPKn of experimental class from 19.8 to 27 and the average of PPKn learning motivation of control class from 21,5 to 19,30. Thus the hypothesis which reads that there is an effect of using Wheel of Fortune learning model toward students’ motivation in learning PPKn at SMP Negeri 1 Benai Kecamatan Benai Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi, can be accepted.Keywords: Wheel of Fortune, Learning Motivation PPKn

Abstract

Abstract: This research is the traditon of manjopuik limau across the coast of Kuantan district of Kuantan Mudik district of Singingi. The purpose of this study is to describe how the tradition of manjopuik limau across te coast Kuantan district mudik Kuantan Singingi district, and how the aesthetics of language un the manjopuik tradition of limes across the coast of Kuantan sub-district queue mudik district Singingi. this type of research is descriptive qualitative research and ethnography approach that try to tell the existing problem solving based on existing facts. The results of this study is a narrative descriptive that is comprehensive along with interpretations that interpret all aspects of culture. This research tries to get as comlete information as possible anout the manjopuik tradition of limes across the coast of Kuantan Mudik district Singingi. the data in this research are verbal, nonverbal and aesthetic data of language contained in the manjopuik tradition of limes. Validity of data obtained by triangulation technique. Then the data are analyzed and classified according to the stage of the manjopuik tradition of limes. The result of research, found verbal elements, nonverbal elements, and language aesthetics in the tradition of manjopuik limau amounted to eighty nine data. The division of data is (1) verbal elements amounted to twenty data,(2) nonverbal elements of eight data, and (3) aesthetic language totaled sixty on data.Keywords: Traditions of manjopuik limau, Seberang Pantai, Kuantan Mudik, Kuantan Singingi.

Abstract

Abstract: Indigenous Peoples of the Sea Tribe (Mantang) is one of the tribes in Riau Islands Province which is categorized as an isolated society. These isolated or sea tribes are often identified as fools, backward, poor and always use magical powers (in their supernatural powers) in their lives. Indigenous Peoples of the Sea Tribe (Mantang) is a group of people who lack awareness and motivation about the importance of education for their lives are more advanced. The research aims to find out (1) to find out the history of the entry of primary school education to the children of Indigenous Peoples of the Sea tribe (Mantang) on Lipan Island Penuba Village (2) to find out how the role of parents in motivating Indigenous Peoples of the Sea Tribe (Mantang) children in Lipan Island Penuba Village to attend school (3) to find out the inhibiting factors for Indigenous Peoples of the Sea Tribe (Mantang) in providing educational support for their children. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of this reaserch indicate that (1) the history of the inclusion of education in Lipan Island begins with the construction of a formal school that is SDN 006 Selayar (2) Indigenous Peoples of the Sea Tribe (Mantang) has been running the role of parents as a motivator and facilitator well in terms of paying attention to the education of his son (3) factors that become obstacles of children in carrying out the educational process that is the family's economic factors, the influence of environmental factors such as distance and time to school and low public mindset about education.Key Words: The Role of Parents, Education Motivation

Abstract

Abstract : This research aims to find a violation and the causes of the violations of what are included in the equivalent of the high school-level debate on the activities of the 25th Literary Practice. This type of research is qualitative with a descriptive method. The data was obtained by the technique of recording video of the race and then transcribed into a writing form. The data was then analyzed by identifying violations in the video of the debate that had been transcribed in written form. These research data in the form of violation of the principle of cooperation that violate violations of the quantity rule, maxim of quality, maxime of relevance, and the maxim of manners. Based on the data analysis that was done, the authors found sixteen causes of the violation of the principle of cooperation are the maxime of quantity, quality, relevance, and how, are as follows: 1) factor clarification of the information, 2 ) factors, 3) change factors of topic, 4) factors that relate to a case 5) factors implicitly make others, 6) the factors you want to look friendly, 7) factors that are expressed fear and haste, 8) factors , one of diction and language rules, 9) factors that lack the use of language, 10) factors or lack of concentration, 11) factors ignorance of facts, 12) factors, lack of information, 13) factors lead facts to the argument to strengthen, 14) factors do not understand the context, 15) factors failed the time well, 16) volatility emotions. Of the sixteen factors, four of which are the purpose of Tri-Thesis (2015). The rest is a new factor that emerged in this study.Keywords: principles of cooperation, debate about competition, literary practice

Abstract

Abstract: Pulang Bainduak is another word of finding a foster mother for migrants who want to stay or want to marry one of the women in the village. Pulang Bainduak this makes a nomad has a tribe or has a mamak in Lipatkain Village with the intention to simplify all the affairs of the settlers and make it officially become the village community. The purpose of this research is 1) To know the History of Pulang Bainduak, 2) To know the procedure of Pulang Bainduak implementation in Lipatkain Village, 3) To know the positive and negative impact of Pulang Bainduak in Lipatkain Village, 4) To know the difference in the process of Pulang Bainduak each tribe in Lipatkain Village, 5) To find out what are the values contained in the Pulang Bainduak process in Lipatkain Village. In this study using qualitative methods, namely case studies, which will provide useful information for the public, especially science. The result of this research is that Lipatkain Village people still practice this tradition. This tradition is a hereditary tradition that has existed and was made in the days of Kings, this tradition through two processes, the first is a notice to the Tunganai, and the second process is a notice on Ninik Mamak, this process has many positive and negative impacts on the immigrants as well as the villagers themselves, one of whom helps the migrants if they get problems and for the villagers to keep their offspring, and the negative impacts are the lifelong ties to the tribal belt and the villagers of many immigrants bringing new cultures and their bad nature. Although it has different implementation in each tribe, it does not cause problems and debates among adat leaders and villagers themselves. Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to describe students' attitudes toward the science of students of class XI Alfath SMA IT Al-Fityah Pekanbaru with the implementation of learning cycle 5e model assisted concept maps on dynamic fluid materials. The research form was Pre-Experimental Design (pre-test and post-test group. The subject of this study was 20 students of class XI Alfath. A questionnaire of students' attitudes toward the science was given to the students before and after learning as the instrument in collecting the data. Data were analysed using descriptive analysis. The result of the research showed that the students 'attitude toward science was in the high category before (pre-test) and after learning (post-test). In line with that, the students' attitude toward the science was also increased by the implementation of 5e learning cycle concept map model. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of 5e learning cycle assisted concept map model can improve students' attitudes toward science in Physics learning on dynamic fluid material in SMA IT Al-Fityah Pekanbaru.Keywords: Learning Cycle 5e Assisted Concept Maps Model, Student’s Attitudes toScience.

Abstract

Abstract : The problem in this research is the low students achievement on social studies V grade students of SDN 9 Pekanbaru with average 71,80 and clasical completeness 44,00% within Minimum Criteria Completeness (KKM) stipulated by schools is 75. The study is in the form of classroom action research (PTK) which aims to improve students achievement on social studies V SDN 9 Pekanbaru with the application of the approach Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL). After applied the approach Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) increased student learning outcomes in UAS I with an average 74.40 with a large increase from basic score 2.60% with classical completeness amounted to 60.00% (not completed) the average UAS II was 79.80 with a large increase from basic score of 8.00% with classical completeness 84.00% (completed). The average percentage of the activity of teachers in the first cycle of the first meeting is 56.25% with sufficient category and then increased by 12.5% in the second meeting be 68.75% with the good category. At the second cycle of the first meeting the average percentage of the activity of teachers increased by 6.25% to 75% with the good category and at the second meeting increased by 12.5% to 87.5% with very good category. Besides the activity of students in the first cycle the first meeting with the average percentage was 56.25% with sufficient category increased by 6.25% in the second meeting to 62.5% with the good category. At the second cycle of the first meeting the average percentage of the activity of students increased by 12.5% to 75% with the good category and at the second meeting increased by 12.5% to 87.5% with very good category. Based on these results it can be concluded that the application of the approach of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) can improve learning outcomes social studies V grade students of SDN 9 Pekanbaru.Key words: Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), Students Achievement the Result Of Social Studies
