Abstract

Air pollution occurs in almost every city in Indonesia. The high levels of particulate and harmful gas pollution exceeding the national standards of 15 µg/m³ for Particulate Matter (PM2.5) and 35 ppm for carbon monoxide can have serious impacts on the health and life expectancy of Indonesia's 272 million population. This research responds to this challenge by designing a monitoring system capable of detecting levels of PM2.5 and carbon monoxide in the environment of the University of Brawijaya Polyclinic. Increasing awareness of the importance of healthy air quality makes monitoring particulate and gas levels a crucial need, especially in healthcare facilities. Using Internet of Things (IoT) technology, this system is developed to provide real-time monitoring of air quality through a web based Blynk dashboard that is easily accessible by clinic staff. The system's composition involves the GP2Y1010AU0F sensor for particulate detection, the MQ-9 sensor for measuring carbon monoxide gas concentration, and the DHT22 sensor for measuring room temperature and humidity. The system also provides an alert system with indicator lights when PM2.5 and CO concentrations reach unsafe levels, as well as a mist maker for air quality maintenance. The results of this research show that the designed system operates stably and provides accurate data with error rates of 0.62% for the GP2Y1010AU0F sensor, 1.73% for the MQ-9 sensor, and 0.98% for temperature measurement and 1.07% for humidity measurement using the DHT22 sensor. Abstract

Berbek Feeder is one of the electricity distribution facilities of PLN UP3 Surabaya Selatan for consumers. In the distribution of electricity, Berbek Feeder often experiences short-circuit currents and voltage dips, which can degrade the quality of the  electric power. To protect equipment and improve the electrical system at the Gardu Induk Rungkut, a Superconducting Fault Current Limiter (SFCL) was installed at disturbance points of 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. This study aims to determine the short-circuit current disturbance values using ETAP 20.6 software by designing a single line diagram, entering data from PLN, and then conducting short-circuit simulations. The results showed that SFCL could reduce short-circuit currents: in three-phase disturbances, the current reduced by 0,98% from 512 to 606 kA within ½ cycle; in two-phase disturbances, the current reduced by 0,98% from 306 kA to 303 kA; and in single-phase-to-ground disturbances, the current reduced by 19,72% from 289 kA to 232 kA. SFCL also improved voltage dips in two-phase and single-phase-to-ground disturbances but not in three-phase disturbances due to the reactor impedance not being large enough to correct the voltage values. Abstract

Strawberries (Fragaria sp.) have high economic potential, but cultivation in lowlands is hampered by climate factors, such as temperature and solar radiation intensity. Hydroponic cultivation can be a solution to overcome this obstacle by providing measured nutrients according to plant needs. This study developed an automatic tool that measures nutrients based on dissolved particles (PPM) using the Sen044 TDS sensor, with Arduino Uno as a microcontroller and two peristaltic pumps for nutrient distribution. This tool is operated with a 12V 2A power supply and is designed to achieve a nutrient setpoint of 900 ppm. The control system used is Mamdani fuzzy logic, which includes fuzzification, rule base, inference, and defuzification. The fuzzification method applied is Min-max, while defuzification uses the Centroid method. The test results show that the nutrient control system has an accuracy of 94.65% in achieving the setpoint. The test also produces data on time constant, dead time, and steady state gain. For example, with a nutrient input of 700 ppm, the system exhibited a time constant of 1.63 seconds and a steady state gain of 18.51%/V with an output voltage of 3.75 volts. Abstract

LTE is an Internet Protocol (IP) based technology with increased speed and spectrum efficiency compared to previous technologies. The 700 MHz frequency is the most ideal frequency for LTE in Indonesia. This is based on wider coverage, wide bandwidth availability, and smaller propagation loss compared to other frequencies. Determining the number of sites to be used refers to coverage calculations and capacity dimensioning. Then the location is chosen based on the existing site location in Kediri City so as to minimize blank spot areas. Then this planning uses Atoll Radio Planning software with the Okumura-Hatta propagation model. Dimensioning calculations show that the number of eNodeBs needed in this plan is 23 eNodeB sites. The simulation results show that the plan has a Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) value of -66.36 dBm with a signal level that is categorized as good, namely >-90 dBm capable of covering an area of 65.62 km2. The average Reference Signal Receiver Power (RSRP) value obtained is -98.98 dBm. The average throughput value obtained was 22.354 Kbps. Keywords: LTE, Atoll, RSSI, RSRP, Throughput

Abstract

The development of the coffee industry in Indonesia is growing rapidly. In the coffee industry, the quality and consistency of coffee flavor is very important where the right proportion of coffee and other additives is a major factor. In addition, operational efficiency in the coffee industry is also important to maintain competitiveness and optimal profits. This can be achieved by managing material stock and recording accurate weighing results so that stock opname activities are needed. One of the coffee shops that implement stock opname in Malang City is Toko Kopi Jaya. The calculation of existing material stock at Toko Kopi Jaya is currently still carried out in a conventional way where the basic ingredients of drinks such as espresso and milk are weighed manually at the end of operating hours. Manual calculations cause problems, such as errors in recording the results of weighing the stock of ingredients. The Internet of Things (IoT) can provide many innovative solutions to improve efficiency in various industries. In the context of the coffee industry, the application of IoT technology to digital scales can provide an effective solution to overcome the problem of inefficient calculation of the current stock of ingredients. The design of IoT-based coffee digital scales was successfully carried out for the automation of material stock reduction using the main components in the form of load cell sensors, HX711 modules, LCDs, and push buttons controlled by ESP8266. The reading data from the load cell sensor is received by ESP8266 and sent to Google Sheet. The load cell sensor used in this IoT-based digital scale has an accuracy rate of 99.964% and the system has an accurate rate of 99.7%. The integration system of IoT-based digital coffee scales with Google Sheet via Wi-Fi connection allows real-time recording of material usage and automatic reduction of material stock. Abstract
