Abstract

PD. Meteor Motor is a company specialized in the sale of Honda motorcycles. The stock of the company has been run in a computerized, but other business processes (purchases and sales) run manually. The purpose of this thesis is to develop a web-based information system that is accessible by company management in operational activities. The application interface is designed using CSS and HTML. This information system is built by using PHP, Java, and HTML programming language. As for data storage uses MySQL. The results based on questionnaires on the application of information systems at PT. Meteor Motor, several conclusions can be drawn that 80% of respondents said that the design of the application system is quite easy to use, and as many as 20% of respondents said that the design of the application is easy to use, in addition as much as 60% of respondents said application system sufficient to meet the companys business processes, and as many as 40% of respondents said application system meets the companys business processes, as well as 60% of respondents said application system is easily accessible, and 40% of respondents said application system is very easily accessible

Abstract

UD. Duta Motor is a commercial company that is engaged in the tools equipment sales for motor vehicles.In its business process, all administration are recorded manually, therefore, the risk of human error often occurs. This company requires information systems that provide administrative records therefore the works become more effective and efficient also to decrease the risk of human error.This application was created by using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 VB. Net and SQL Server 2005 as the database storage system. The method used in the calculation of cost of goods sold is the average method. From the results of applications testing, it shows that the application can process the data directly related to the purchase and sale process automatically. Reports of sales, purchases and income statement can be done quickly and accurately.

Abstract

Academic records of student candidates and students of Petra Christian University (PCU) which have been stored so far have not been used to generate information. PCU’s Top-level management needs a way to generate information from the records. The generated information is expected to support the decision-making process of Top-level management.Before starting the application development, analysis and design of the student academic records and the needs of Top-level management are done. The design stage produces a number of modeling that will be used to create the application.The final result of the development is an Academic Decision Support System application for PCU. The developed application includes Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL), customizable graphs, and user maintenance features.

Abstract

On this current situation, UD. 88 is not using transaction recording system with good information flow. All transaction recording still done in manual way, it makes UD. 88 very susceptible to exposure and loss caused by overstock and stockout costs.Based on this background, we designed a structural accounting information system with inventory control that can overcome the problems. That system was build using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and MySQL as database.The result obtained from the system are master recording, purchase and sale transaction recording, inventory control, stock report, purchase report, sales report, general ledger, and financial statement such as income statement and balance sheet.

Abstract

The development of technology can make human being to do a lot of things more simple. Teaching method currently has many variations so that the learning process is more alive. Learning by explaining the process which can be seen is very beneficial. Sometimes in a process, hand gestures play an important role in understanding the whole process. The use of webcam can be another alternative to digitize what is written by users. This thesis aims to digitize lecturing notes on paper using a device webcam.The system includes processes like image retrieval, paper detection, projection mapping, skin detection and removal, and processing results with threshold method. Paper edge detection process uses the method of canny edge detection. In paper edge detection, webcam image becomes image with white color for area of paper. Projection mapping process is used to map the image with trapezoid shape of paper into image with rectangular shape of paper. Skin detection process uses HSV and YCbCr color space. In skin detection process, hand which still appears in image becomes image without hand. The application was created using the C# programming language with Visual C# 2010 as its IDE.The experiment results indicate that the color, ink thickness, threshold value, height of the webcam, size and distance between scratches, and lighting level will affect the final outcome of the application. In addition, the hand’s position during the writing may cause a shadow on the paper. The best result of all methods which have been tried is the result of the threshold method.

Abstract

The rapid development of techonology nowadays causes increased competition in business world, one example of technology application in business is online shopping website, promoting goods via internet. The transaction progress in Enggal Waras store is still done manually, causing the transaction must be done inside the store (customer must come to the store to buy goods), moreover often happen the refusing of customer because the goods that the customer asked is not available in the store. To overcome this problem, then an online shopping website is designed for Enggal Waras store.This website is made using PHP as programming language, MySQL as database, and Apache as web server.From the system examination with questionnaire, website get the highest point 3,8 out of 5 for the easiness to operate. From that we can conclude that the website’s features are adequate for user needs and can be operated easily.

Abstract

CV Berkat Anugerah is an individual manufacturing company which focused in lathe workshop. The current system used is a manual system, which makes difficult for storing and processing data. The production process based on customer’s request. Each order are custom-made so the selling price is different for each order. Selling price is affected by cost of goods manufactured. The estimation for cost of goods manufactured is a problem faced by the company.Based on background issues that occur, the author create an accounting information system and price calculator application. The accounting information system is used for daily-bases operation. Price calculator application is used to help the calculation process for cost of goods manufactured. These application is made using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 as programming language and SQL Server as database. Job Order Costing method is used for calculating cost of goods manufactured.The result of application’s testing are accounting information system helps the process of storing and processing transactional data so that can generate an accurate financial statements. Price calculator helps making an accurate cost of goods manufactured calculation process, so that company can gain the best profit for each order.

Abstract

Student activities is an activity that is often performed by students of Petra Christian University in addition to studying. All activities are held by students in the rules and supervision of the Administrative Bureau of Student and Alumni (BAKA). All student activities through the BAKA in the selection of student activities in order to create a creative and beneficial to the students themselves and the environment outside the university. Each selected activities must pass through several stages of selectors who have different places and with different activities as well. The problem that every proposal that created the students hampered by location, different activities and delivery processes of proposals from the selectors to the other selectors going slowly. Based on the background of the existing problems, the authors designed a system that can help the process of working in the BAKA. The system was designed which includes three large scope, the proposal online, online activities and Accountability Sheet and SKKK online. The results which obtained from the application is the system can help the working process and accelerate the proposal approval process and Accountability Reports of all activities LK. Results of questionnaire indicate that there are features in the application is in conformity with the needs of BAKA.

Abstract

Elementary school children generally like to play games, as a survey reported that more than a quarter of children around the world have their handheld computers before they reach eight years of age. Children may reason that games can be used as a mean of refreshing when they get bored in study. However, in reality many children play games not useful to improve their knowledge and even become addicted and forget to study.In this manuscript, author make an English educational game targeted for elementary 1-2 school children. Children are expected to enjoy the game while learning English.This application has been reviewed by some elementary school English teachers. They responded that the game’s content matches well with the teaching material taught in their class.

Abstract

Furniture a usual term that has been used for household needs which can be used for storing items, place to sit, place to sleep and place to do something like tables or something that its surfaces can hold things. Because of so many kinds of furnitures have made many furniture stores  demands for a bigger space. This has caused for many furniture stores that doesn’t have much space, not able to display all of their products. As a result stores made products catalog every week or month. Obviously, this made the store have to spent more costs. Based on that circumstances this application was made as a shopping catalog and a shopping cart. This application is Android based, considering it’s function beside a mobile phone , it has many  modern function such as its wifi and its camera for barcode scanning that can be connected to the company database Server. The application that has been made, have some list of features such as product search that can be used by accessing the Server through wifi, giving the information of ongoing promos, can do product barcode scanning with the mobile device camera, can act as a shopping cart to contain the list of products, and can send the shopping list to the Server, so that we can do the transaction later with ease.
