Abstract

Nowadays, the number of Surabaya people who did travel abroad is increasing. Most of them decided to buy an outbound package tour from a travel agent in Surabaya. In order to increase the sales volume, a travel agent is needed to analyze some factors that influencing the buying decision. Therefore, this research was conducted to analyze those factors based on 7P’s marketing mix. The purpose of the research is to find out whether consumer buying decision is affected by 7P’s significantly or not. Besides, the variable dominant will be known as well. Quantitative – descriptive was used in this study. In Which respondents who have been selected were those people who live in Suarabaya and have been joined an outbound tour in last 3 months. For the sampling method, non probability sampling through the judgemental sampling was chosen. Questionnaire was used to collect the data and processed it in SPSS 17.00 using statistic descriptive and multiple linear regression. The result of this research indicates that consumer buying deision is influenced by seven variables which work together. But separately, consumer buying decision isn’t affected by Process and Physical Evidence. Only Price, Place, People, Product and Promotion that give the significant influence.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the extent of interest and the level of consumer satisfaction with quality products and quality service food court City of Tomorrow Surabaya related to the lifestyle of modern society and to test whether the quality of product and service quality affects consumer satisfaction.The data analysis technique used in this study is Customer Satisfaction Index, Importance and Performance Matrix, cross tabs and Linear Regression and Cluster analysis based Activity, Interest and Opinion respondents to identify lifestyle. The result showed that most consumers are in cluster 2 is adopt a lifestyle of modern society. Consumers are satisfied with the quality of product and service quality as well as a food court City of Tomorrow product quality and service quality significantly affect either simultaneously or partially to the consumers satisfaction with the quality of service that has the most dominant effect on satisfaction.

Abstract

The purpise of this research is to identify impact of fashion involvement toward positive emotion and impulse buying, also the impact of positive emotion toward impulse buying. Research object is Cenntro Department Store Surabaya which the leading fashion in Surabaya. Variables used are: fashion involvement, positive emotion, and impulse buying. Research design is causal with 150 samples. Technique analysis of data used Structural Equation Model. The result of this research showing that fashion involvement proved impact toward positive emotion. Fashion involvement  proved impact towards impulse buying, but positive emotion not proved impact towards impulse buying.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the attributes of tourism destination which play a dominant role in attracting tourists. This study also measures the satisfaction of the tourists of tourism attributes in Raja Ampat. This research use 80 respondents to be the sample, they are domestic and foreign tourists who travells to Raja Ampat. Data analysis technique applied  are descriptive analysis statistic means score, regression analysis, F-test, and normality test.Based on the result of this research, there are six attributes considered important by tourists, but there are 4 of the most dominant in attracting tourists to Raja Ampat.

Abstract

This study is aimed to analyze the push and pull factors that motivate the tourists from Surabaya to travel to Penang, Malaysia. The respondents are tourists from Surabaya aged above 18 years old who have traveled to Penang within the last 1 year. Quesionnaires were used to collect data and factor analysis tecnique was used to analyze and describe the result of the research.The results of factor analysis shows that the push factors to travel to Penang are Novelty & Knowledge–Seeking, Rest & Relaxation, Fulfilling Dream, Adventure & Cultural-Seeking, and Prestige. While the pull factors are Safety, Cleanliness, & Variety of Attraction; Events & Activities, Affordable Price, and Travel Arrangement. Based on the result of component transformation matrix, it can be concluded the push factor that dominantly motivated tourists from Surabaya to travel to Penang is Adventure & Exploration (0,733) and the pull factor that dominantly motivate tourists from Surabaya is Tour Arrangement (0,847).

Abstract

This descriptive study tries to analyze the most dominant push and pull factor for Surabaya citizen in choosing China as family recreation destination. The samples are 20-60 years old Surabaya citizens who have already gone or will surely be going to China for their family vacation. The instrument used was questionnaires and the data processed using factor analysis method. Based on the result of factor analysis, it is found that the most dominant push factors Prestige, so they can share what they have seen, and experienced in China to other friends or relatives in order to increase social status. While the most dominant pull factors is Exotic and Adaptable Atmosphere, seeking for different atmosphere but still adaptable for entire family.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the preferences and factors of decision making of the domestic tourists from Surabaya in choosing accommodation in Bali. Bali Island is the worlds second best island, Boracay Island. The Bali Island is a tourist destination that is recognized by the world, both foreign tourists and domestic travelers. During the tour, travelers need accommodation that suits theirs needs . Preferences and factors that influence the selection of accommodation is different from each one to the other travelers.Analysis techniques used in this study was a descriptive cross tabulations and Spearman Rank Test methods. This methods aims to summarize the information from the original variables and sort into the rank position. The results of this study indicate there are several factors affecting the travelers preferences in choosing a hotel.

Abstract

This study is acommplished to analyze which factors are push and pull,  and which factors are dominant between push and pull factors Surabaya Tourists in choose Vietnam as a destination choice.              The method for this research is descriptive research that attempted to describe phenomenon that exists with an accurate anlysis. Sample used in aged 24 – 65 years old who has an income and already had visited vietnam formerly in the last two years. Instrument used in this research is to use cross tab analysis and factors analysis.               Based on the results of factor analysis it was known that the push factors to go on Surabaya tourist in choose Vietnam as a destination choice are Escape ,Relaxation and Prestige , Enhancement of Relationship and Wish Fulfillment. While the pull factors are: Affordable Price and Historical experiences,  Beautiful Scenery, Cultural Show Attractions, Seeking of Activities, Accessibility. In overall, it can be concluded that Surabaya Tourist are more dominantly driven by push factor Escape ,Relaxation and Prestige and attracted by pull factor : Affordable Price and Historical experiences.

Abstract

 This research is accomplished to reveal the travel patterns and preferences of Surabaya tourist when they travelling to Thailand. Nowadays, Thailand is one of popular destination for Surabaya tourist. During the tour, it will automatically arise a travel patterns and preferences of the individual tourist. Travel patterns and preferences can be vary from one to another tourist.             Analysis techniques used in this research is descriptive with Cross Tabulation and Multiple Correspondence Analysis method. The method aims to determine the relationship between the tourist profile and tourist travel patterns and preferences, supported by correspondence mapping results displayed in the form of image mapping. The results of this research show travel patterns and travel preferences generated varies depending on the tourists profile.
