Abstract

The advancement of fashion industry is growing rapidly, and every single society is fond of it. Attention is given on formal, informal, and even casual outfit. With the presence of Jakarta Fashion Week every year, people are able to see the diversity of fashion’s evolution. Hence, this Jakarta Fashion Week Museum Interior Design is expected to provide knowledge and educate the public visitors regarding the evolution of fashion trends in Indonesia. Moreover, it conveys a message to the world that Indonesia is able to compete in global fashion industry. The Harmony of Geometrical Shapes concept is what this design will put forth. Thus, the will-be-used interior is more towards simple and geometric formation. This geometric formation is used in order to make the displayed fashion looks more prominent and attractive. Supporting facilities in this design are the lobby, gift shop, retail shop, café, museum display and show area, which will make visitors comfortable.

Abstract

This study is accomplished to reveal the efforts of efficiency and energy conservation in East Campus/P Building of Petra Christian University. Energy crisis is the background of this study. The high energy demand in Indonesia is not compensated by enough energy supplies. Furthermore, nearly all of energy supplies in Indonesia is produced from non-renewable resources.One of the high-rise buildings that is fitting to be studied is the East Campus/P Building of Petra Christian University. Energy efficient innovations were applied to the building to reduce the building's energy consumption. The efforts done in P Building needs to be studied and published for public references, also for the improvement of both architecture and interior design specially in high-rise building. This will contribute largely to the efforts of saving the environment and energy saving.The study is done by collecting field data, then it is analyzed using GREENSHIP standards for interior published by Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI). The result is shown in points and percentage (%) for category of Energy Efficiency and Conservation (EEC). Then, using the result from analysis, conclusion and recommendations can be formulated for future development of energy efficiency in P Building.

Abstract

Musical Interior Elements are the Interior elements which its function combined with the function of musical instruments. The Interior elements is include floor, wall, ceiling and the element inside it such as furniture. Musical interior elements aims to propose a non-visual aspects of the interior elements of the sound that is produced by the material. The target of this musical is all ages so the design must be easy to play, therefore musical interior designed with a simple form that is easy to play. To convey what it is not enough musical interior elements designed on paper only because the author uses a 1:1 prototype. The design method used is the method of experiment and research on related objects, namely the interior elements and musical instruments to get the opportunities or possibilities of any interior elements that can be combined with the function of musical instruments.

Abstract

---- In the school building, the design of the interior space is a major concern, because an interior space is well designed and properly will be able to support the children's learning process. Gymboree Playgroup has  several concept such as creativity, confidence and friendship. Gymboree also has a wide range of classes, such as play and learn, music classes, art classes, gymnastic classes, and educational classes. The diversity of the class at the school is what makes the school attractive to Gymboree Playgroup designed. This design aims to create a school that can spur creativity, confidence and friendship among children. Design methods used include the manufacture of critical review, proposal design, literature review, and conduct surveys, create programming, schematic and design development, and then proceed with the final design and mockups. Design results will show how to design schools that reflect Gymboree corporate identity, as well as how to support creativity, confidence and friendship in children through design.

Abstract

The design of this cafe is aimed at all walks of life (small children, young people, parents). The main purpose of design is to produce a unique cafe design that is themed and uses aspects of universal design. The specific purpose of designing this cafe is to provide facilities to the community as a comfortable, attractive hangout, making visitors who are there become relaxed. And this cafe is designed with a different design from other cafes located in Surabaya to attract visitors in Surabaya and outside Surabaya to come to this cafe. The method used in designing this café is design thinking which consists of 10 stages, namely, discovery, observe , emphatize, leverage stories to discover insights, frame and reframe, ideate, decide, prototype, validate your ideate, iterate. Design results in the form is in the form of data collection by field surveys, design experiments, work drawings, study mockups, prototypes, documentation, mood boards, etc.

Abstract

Studio design is one of the useful facilities to plan a design product. Interior Design of Christian University has a great potency to change the present studio to become better studio which has better quality to develop the design learning process and comfort of the students in studio. In order to use that great potency, “Ultimate Studio” concept is apllied. Within this concept, the ideas of multi functional furniture design and interior element appear to help the student activities and to give comfortable atmosphere in the studio so that the teaching and learning process in the stuio can be condusive and optimal. The facilities in the studio designed need to be adapted with the students needs by dividing the studio to be areas which can help the students activites and give better atmosphere in the studio. This plan is expected to reach optimal result to bring positive functional effect for the design studio of Petra Christian University

Abstract

The application of Fengshuipatternflow of Company ‘X’ is a research which examining and understanding the theory of Fengshui, integrated with interior design as theart of organizing space. This study is conducted by comparing current field report with the existing literatures, then analyzed whether the real life condition is relevant to the theoretical background ither based on Fengshuior interior design point of view. This paper discusses about Fengshui and interior design as two disciplines which used for arranging the space and benefitting for open up the perception regarding to Fengshui as one of the culture that can be applied on setting up a room especially the interior of the office room. Both knowledge has different orientation, yet on the application, all of them canbeused for thepurpose of achieving the optimum result related to the productivity  of the workers inside the office. From the analysis, it can be concluded that Company ‘X’ have been 80% accordant to the Fengshui and interior design theory.

Abstract

Dementia is a disease that is commonly experienced by elderly, especially women. It is also known as Alzheimer or senile disease. Some people take this condition as a natural thing and underestimate it. In fact, dementia is one of the most severe diseases because the sufferer can forget about literally everything, including the way to speak and pronounce words. This design aims to facilitate dementia sufferer with therapy. The main concept of this design is to provide the patients with peace of mind, aiming at making the patients feel more comfortable and providing them with a fighting spirit. The colors and material are warm colors and natural materials, such as woods, natural stones, and bamboo to represent the tropical atmosphere. The design needs to be as simple as possible in order to make the patients feel like they belong there.

Abstract

Traditional culture has potential to attract tourists to come to one city. But along with the times, the traditional culture will extinct so we  need the effort to preserve them. In this day, culture and culinary is not an easy thing to find, more over just for a vacation. This Makassar’s restaurant interior desaign purposes is to give an information about Makassar’s culture through interior design that applied to the restaurant and to gives a taste of traditional cuisine of Makassar. Indonesia has a lot of culture, one of them is Makassar culture. For a foodies, this would be very nice to know about Makassar Traditional cuisine.

Abstract

The expansion of tourism district, art and craft business and café in Indonesia are moving vastly. This increase the demand of café, retail and commercial hospitality. However, Makassar has not develop hotel, café, and retail in a joined venture. Thus, it become the idea into design proposal of Art & Craft Café and Lobby of Allson City Hotel in Makassar. The aim of the design is to inform local and international visitors regarding the local culture by applying local content into the space. The proposal is themed “Live in Art”, which translated literally as living into the art. The chosen concept is using post-modernism style which adopt the local art content into a contemporary design without leaving its character. The usage of local characteristics are including symbols and ornament of tongkonan, dominance of red, yellow, black and white which were adapted from Toraja culture. The application of local content into the proposal is including lobby area, which is the icon of the hotel, café, as the lounge for visitors, and art and craft retail to support local arts. By applying local content that is modified with contemporary touch, designer aim to give its appeal for visitors whilst to prolong the local culture.
