Abstract

Abstract. This study aimed to determine the relationship between self-maturity and forgiveness in the late adolescence. The hypothesis of this study was there is a positive correlation between self-maturity and forgiveness in the late adolescence. The population in this study were university students at UKRIDA. The research sample was taken by purposive sampling (N=108 subjects). This study used quantitative approach. The data were collected using a scale. The instruments that used in this study were forgiveness scale TRIM-18 (Transgression Related Interpersonal Motivation) and Self-Maturity scale. The data were analyzed by Pearson’s Product Moment correlation analysis. The result showed, that there is a positive relationship between self-maturity and forgiveness in late adolescence (r = 0.491; p < 0,01).Keywords: forgiveness, late adolescence, self-maturity

Abstract

Abstract. This study described the point of view of the disabled person that have been experienced in the field of employment. There were difficulties that have been experienced of disabled person when they were looking for a job as in terms of accessibility, limited opportunity to work in the field of formal and informal sectors, and low public awareness and acceptance of work on disabled world. The purpose of this research was to find a picture of optimism disabled in the line of work. Optimism is an individuals belief that a bad event or failure does not preclude individuals to keep working reach the goal. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study using data collection methods such as interview. The participants in this study were two disabled people who used wheelchairs and had experience difficulty in finding employment. The results of this study showed both participants had an optimistic attitude, even if they had different views.Keywords: disabled people, job, optimism

Abstract

Abstrak. Stroke adalah suatu penyakit kardiovaskular yang memengaruhi persediaan darah ke otak. Pada umumnya stroke menyerang individu yang berusia di atas 45 tahun. Akan tetapi saat ini individu yang berusia lebih muda juga memiliki resiko terkena serangan stroke, khususnya stroke iskemik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran penyesuaian diri pada penderita stroke iskemik usia dewasa muda. Pada periode perkembangan ini, individu seharusnya sedang berada dalam tahap yang tertinggi dalam hidupnya, baik dari segi fisik, kognitif, maupun psikososialnya. Akan tetapi setelah terkena serangan stroke, individu akan mengalami perubahan dalam dirinya sehingga individu harus dapat menyesuaikan diri. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara dari tanggal 6 November 2011 hingga 7 Februari 2012 di tempat yang telah disetujui oleh subyek. Partisipan adalah tiga orang laki-laki yang mengalami stroke iskemik paling tidak selama 1 bulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah setiap subyek mengalami dampak yang berbeda-beda, dimana dampak ini mempengaruhi cara dan lamanya waktu yang dibutuhkan subyek untuk menyesuaikan diri.Kata kunci: dewasa muda, penyesuaian diri, stroke iskemik

Abstract

Abstrak. Index of Teaching Stress (ITS) adalah salah satu pengukuran psikologi yang digunakan untuk mengukur tingkat stres mengajar pada guru. Saat ini, terutama di Jakarta, kehadiran ITS sangat diperlukan mengingat pentingnya kesejahteraan guru tingkat SD. Demi mendapatkan hasil pengukuran ITS yang konsisten serta dapat dipercaya mengukur stres guru, maka diperlukan pengujian validitas dan reliabilitas ITS. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji validitas, reliabilitas, serta norma ITS pada guru SD di Jakarta Barat. Uji validitas dilakukan dengan metode content-description procedures (validitas isi) dan construct-identification procedures (validitas konstruk). Validitas isi diujikan dengan bantuan panel ahli yang kemudian diolah dengan perhitungan Aiken’s V dan menghasilkan 48 aitem (dari 90 aitem), dengan batas minimum sama dengan 0,57. Uji validitas konstruk dilakukan dengan melihat korelasi antara skor aitem dengan skor total dan menghasilkan 47 aitem yang valid dengan rentang validitas 0,305–0,663. Uji reliabilitas dilakukan dengan metode single-trial atau single-test melalui teknik Alpha Cronbach dan menghasilkan koefisien reliabilitas sebesar 0,934. Berdasarkan uji validitas dan reliabilitas, maka disimpulkan bahwa alat ukur ITS valid dan reliabel karena memiliki rentang validitas > 0,3 dan koefisien reliabilitas > 0,8. Berdasarkan norma yang telah dibuat, ditemukan bahwa subyek penelitian memiliki tingkat stres yang tergolong rendah (M = 121). Hasil penelitian dengan crosstab ditemukan tidak ada hubungan antara jenis kelamin dengan stres mengajar dan ada hubungan antara jenis sekolah dengan stres mengajar pada guru. Penelitian lebih lanjut dengan menambahkan metode uji validitas dan reliabilitas lainnya yang berbeda diperlukan untuk menghasilkan aitem-aitem yang lebih baik. Peneliti selanjutnya juga dapat menambahkan data demografis lainnya serta meneliti lebih dalam mengenai hasil penelitian dengan crosstab.Kata kunci: Index of Teaching Stress, reliabilitas, stres mengajar, validitas,

Abstract

Abstract. The aim of this research is to measure the relationship between job stress and job satisfaction of employees in the company X. Company X is one of companies that engages in entertainment/media. The hypotheses of this research were there is a negative relationship between job stress and job satisfaction. Subjects of this research consisted of 103 people using snowball sampling. Job stress was measured by four aspects such as physiological measurement, self-report assessment, measurement of personal life and measuring personal compatibility with the environment based theories of Hans Selye. Employee job satisfaction is measured based on six aspects consist of the work itself, salary, promotion, working group, supervision and environmental conditions based theories of Luthans. The scale of job stress was 30 item statement with reliability coefficient of 0.734. Job satisfaction scale were 30 items statement with a reliability coefficient of 0.855. The statistical method used in the research were the Pearson Product Moment Correlation. The results showed r = -0.645 with p <0.05. This indicated that the lower of job stress level increase job satisfaction level.Keywords: entertainment company, job stress, job satisfaction

Abstract

Abstract. This research is aimed to explain factors that build resilience towards two cancer volunteers who have lost their children and to describe the process that the cancer volunteers went through to be resilient. Resilience factors are derived from a theory that was developed by Reivich and Shatte (2002). It consisted of emotion regulation, impulse control, optimism, causal analysis, empathy, self-efficacy, and reaching out. The process to be resilient was measured by analyzing the subjects’ life events. The result showed that participants were resilient. The process described a systematical journey about the subjects’ life events, especially childhood achievements and losing or inconvenience experiences that were contributing to the resilience that the participants already had till now.Keywords: cancer, loss, volunteer resilience
