Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to test the efficiency of capital markets and the Single Index Model in Indonesia, related to the an- nouncement of fuel price rise on May 24, 2008. The sample in this study as many as ten stocks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and actively traded on 10 (ten) days before and 10 (ten) days after the announcement of fuel price rise on May 24, 2008, or by a window period of 21 days. The results showed that in the event that the announcement of fuel price increases announced by the government on May 24, 2008 are no differences in average abnormal return of between 10 (ten) days before and 10 (ten) days after the announcement. In periods of negative abnormal return ob- servations occurred before the announcement of fuel price increases, which means there have been leaks of informa- tion, where the issue of fuel price increases have been in- formed by the previous government. This shows that the In- donesian capital market is not efficient in this case. The study also found that the SIM does not apply to the period of obser- vation, because of the variability of the beta is not followed by the variability of stock returns or in other words there is no linear relationship between beta and returnKey Word: Efficiency of capital markets, Single Index Model

Abstract

Science develops fast nowadays. The unlimited informa- tion make someone able to create new things. But informa- tion also have negative effect, because it can make some- one get difficulty to make decisions. So, developing of creativities are needed in information era. This attitudes can be found in n-agent, it is the attitude to choose suitable infor- mation , spread  information  in net working to create new ideas.  The ability to create new things from the existence of the information has to be developed in Educational System. So, the new generation will bore. The n-generation needs teacher’s corps that has high qualities and masters digital language.Key Words: Education, N-Generation.

Abstract

Abstract Success of the economic development is influenced by fiscal and monetary management with their regulations. Fiscal role is carried out in two basic corridors,   fiscal consolidation which is carried out by controlling budget deficit, and strategy of budget funding which is intended to decrease the burden and risk of the government debt. This fact shows that fiscal and monetary policies in Indonesia is not carried out in a good harmony and synchronization. So, increasing of fiscal and monetary policies coordination is needed by synchronizing policies goal to stabilize monetary sectors. The source of government income which derives from tax or seigniorage has important role to increase fiscal endurance. So, it is important for the government to synchronize fiscal and monetary policies by equalizing the increasing of tax and price level.Key Words : Tax, Seigniorage

Abstract

Computers became indispensable in the development of information and communication, computer media and ad- vances in communications technology has an effect on the development of data processing. The majority of computer users is available at companies or offices, and a large com- pany often have branch offices. With so required data may be transferred from one branch to another branch with tele- communications equipment, which encourage the function- ing of a computer to generate information that truly reliable and fixed time. Abstract

Kota sebagai pusat pertumbuhan ekonomi menjadi faktor penarik terjadinya arus urbanisasi. Pertumbuhan penduduk alamiah dan pesatnya arus urbanisasi tidak diimbangi dengan pertumbuhan lapangan kerja, maka pencari kerja lari ke sektor informal dan diantaranya memilih menjadi pedagang kaki lima. Kehadiran sektor informal dianggap mengganggu, namun kenyataannya dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi pembangunan. Karena itu, diperlukan perhatian, bantuan, dan pembinaan dari berbagai pihak agar dapat melakukan pembinaan.  Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji: 1) perbedaan pengembangan usaha berdasarkan perbedaan tingkat pendidikan, dan 2) perbedaan tingkat kedisiplinan di dalam mematuhi peraturan berdasarkan perbedaan tingkat pendidikan pedagang kaki lima. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) ada perbedaan yang signifikan tentang upaya pengembangan usaha didasarkan pada perbedaan tingkat pendidikan, dan 2) ada perbedaan yang signifikan tentang tingkat kedisiplinan mereka didasarkan pada perbedaan tingkat pendidikan. Abstract

The study aims to examine the effect of compensation, work environment and motivation on performance in PT. Son of Tonga Tiur view Rembang. The sample in this study amounted to 75 respondents. The first hypothesis with the value t count> t table (2.115> 2.000) with significance level 0.038 <0.05, means that there is significant influence of com- pensation (X1) to employee performance (Y). Testing the second hypothesis is the work environment variables (X2 ) to employee performance (Y) can know the results of the calculations whereas the t 3.818 2.000 t table at the 0.05 sig- nificance level (? = 0.05). Thus the significant effect of work environment (X2) on employee performance (Y). The third hypothesis tests the motivation variable (X3) on employee performance (Y) can be detected t count is greater than t 2.058 2.000 table, at the level of significance is 0.05 ( ? = 0.05), thus there is significant influence of motivation (X3) on employee performance (Y). Hypothesis test kempat com- pensation variable (X1) working environment (X2) and moti- vation (X3) jointly affect the performance of the employee (Y). Regression calculation is obtained f count> f table (12.765> 2.74) at 0.05 significance level> 0.00. Thus the three variables (X1, X2, X3) jointly have a significant influence on employee performance (as Y). Adjusted R2 value (coeffi- cient of determination) indicates the variable compensation, work environment and motivation can explain the influence of 32.3% on performance, while the rest equal to 67.7% ex- plained by other factors not included in this study.Keyword: compensation, work environment, motivation, per- formance
