Abstract

The direction of Qibla that is objected by Ka’bah in Mecca. It is obligated to Moslem to do their worship, such as prayer, tawaf, and corpse funeral. Mosque, the prayer place, must be measured in accordance with the right direction of Qibla. So that, it can properly leads to the direction of Qibla in accordance with the Syariah rules. Like the reality in Solo, Yogyakarta, Bandung and Jakarta, there are still many mosques which is not correctly head to the direction of Qibla in Metro city. The main problem of this research is how is the accuracy of Mosques’ Qibla direction in Metro city?. This research is aimed in describing the accuracy of Mosques’ Qibla direction in Metro city. This is a descriptive qualitative research. The object of this research is mosques in Metro city, with using purposive proportional sampling. The data were collected by observation and measurement, with special tool, GPS. The researcher analyzed the data qualitatively. The average deviation of Qibla direction on West Metro is the lowest deviation, namely 7 degrees. East Metro has 9 degrees in average, and Central Metro has 10 degrees. While North Metro and South Metro has the highest deviation, between 16-17 degrees. Keywords: Akurasi Arah Kiblat, Masjid, Kota Metro

Abstract

This article examines the evaluation of learning process as one of determinant variables in achieving the objectives of educational system conducted in Indonesian Islamic higher educational institution. It aims therefore to give a rich description on the ideal process of learning activities through the evaluation study. For the purpose of study, the writer uses Jurai Siwo State Islamic College (STAIN) as the object of study.The writer brings all these facts to state that the conduct of learning activities in STAIN Jurai Siwo does not optimize the taxonomy of educational objectives. This can be seen from both external and internal points of view. For the former, STAIN Jurai Siwo does not hitherto have an “excellent” accredited study program. Moreover, there is still no formal satisfactory statement from any single educational institution, government or company as to the existence of STAIN’s alumni working for them. For the latter, the institution is unable to implement the standards of operational procedures (SOP) in a proper way albeit it has the so-called quality assurance system. In addition, the section of quality assurance, which is founded for increasing academic excellence in the institution, is also unable to build an effective cooperation among all the stakeholders.   Keywords: Evaluasi kegiatan pembelajaran, taksonomi pendidikan, pendidikan holistik, lembaga pendidikan tinggi Islam

Abstract

The rule of zakat in Indonesia is found in law Number 38 year 1999 on the management of zakat. But, there isnt binding rules of procedure which resulted in its management fees  that cant run optimally. Even though there is institution which manage zakat wealth, BAZIS, but if it also was  able to do a good role without binding rule? Metro City where its most population are muslim doesnt have solid fundation for optimizing the potencial of zakat. So the Council of Indonesian Ulama (MUI) of Metro City proposes to parlement and executive to make zakat legal drafting. Majority of parlement member rejected those legal drafting. This research aims to axplore the real reason of parlement member to reject zakat legal drafting. The research is field research in which the data obtained by interview. The result shows that the real reason of rejection parlement member of Metro City is political interest. The legal drafting of zakat legislation has been discussed in parlement before the legislative election in Indonesia. Some might be worried if certain party votes because of its proposing the regional regulation of zakat. Key Word : Penolakan, Raperda Zakat, kepentingan politik, Urusan Agama

Abstract

Grammar is one of the important aspects in writing; therefore, when learning writing, the students must produce a text that is grammatically accurate. On the other hand, the lecturer must apply an appropriate technique to increase the students’ writing ability. Peer-correction is considered to be appropriate technique because of its strengths. This Classroom Action Research is aimed at knowing whether this technique can increase the students’ writing ability; especially in grammar aspect. The subject consisted of 40 English study program students of State Islamic College of Jurai Siwo Metro. The results show that, in Cycle 1, there is an increase of the posttest score (77.24) compared with that of pretest (77.24). Also, In Cycle 2, the posttest score (78.41) is higher than that of the first posttest. Meanwhile, the posttest score of Cycle 3 is 74.05, lower than that of the second posttest. However, it can be concluded that the Peer-correction technique can increase the grammatical accuracy of the students’ research proposal. Keywords: grammatical accuracy, research proposal, peer-correction technique, cycle, pretest, posttest, increase

Abstract

Zakat is an obligation to muslim whose some wealth that enough limitation of nisab and has been possessed as long as one year (haul). Regulation of nisab and how many percentage of zakat will be taken and then  wil be distributed to person whose rigt to receive (muzakky). Fuqaha has agree for several kind of property for example gold, silver, agriculture, castle ang trading Is taken it zakat. But there are some wealth have been gotten in modern job, like wealth of wallet bird nest not yet regulation, is it must be taken zakat or no? how many nisab dan how many percentage of zakat.This research has goal to knaw regulation of wallet bird nest zakat, how many nisab and how many percentage of zakat must be taken. The location of research in Metro and East Lampung. The population of this research are muslim who has building wallet bird. Sampling technique used purposive sampling. All of wealth must be taken zakat including wallet bird nest, nisab of wallet bird nest is 3 on gold dan 21/2% quota of zakat, is based on analogy (qias) with wealth of trading as same as with zakat of gold and silver. Keywords: wealth, zakat, nisab, haul,obligation

Abstract

The Islamic religious leaders in the village have obligation against adolescents morality. Even though this role has been done by the islamic religious leaders, but some adolescents in Banjarrejo village have bad morality. This research aims to explore relationship of development of islamic religious leaders to adolescents morality in Banjarrejo village, Batanghari, East Lampung. The research is quantitative  research in which the data obtained by interview and documentation. Abstract

The students’ facing difficulties in digesting the material has become a problem in Arabic instruction. Many factors can be listed such as monotonous teaching method, inadequate teaching aid, and so on. To cope with the problems, Quantum Teaching model could be an alternative. This model is accelerated learning model with Quantum learning method. The accelerated learning means acceleration program by reducing the obstacles that hamper natural process of study through intentional efforts. The problem formulation of this research is whether Quantum Teaching approach can increase Arabic language study achievement of the students of MI Al-Imam Metro Kibang, East Lampung in the academic year of 2010/2011. This research is aimed at knowing the raising of Arabic language study achievement of MI Al-Imam Metro Kibang, East Lampung in the academic year of 2010/2011 through Quantum teaching approach. The data collecting method used were observation, test and documentation.Based on three cycles of implementation, it can be inferred that there is a significant rising of Quantum Teaching approach toward Arabic language study achievement. The evaluation result of each cycle is continued to T-test. The result of the study shows that Quantum teaching can increase Arabic language study achievement  of the students of MI Al-Imam Metro Kibang, East Lampung.Keywords: Pembelajaran, Quantum Teaching, Prestasi Belajar dan Bahasa Arab
