Abstract

This study aims to analyze the potential for occupational hazards caused by psychosocial problems in company X. For representation of product service operations, 5 research locations were selected, namely aviation, lubricants, asphalt, fuel and LPG. A qualitative research method with an open snow ball sampling technique was carried out in order to get 30 participants for interviews and focus group discussions. Then the data were analyzed using thematic analysis which resulted in themes of psychosocial problems that occurred which could pose potential work hazards. To determine the core problem and causal flow of psychosocial aspects, stream analysis is used. This analysis shows that management who does not care about work facilities causes work equipment not to support work safety standards. Besides that, the quality of human resources who are less aware of work safety and stressful conditions due to workload causes non-compliance with SOPs so that it becomes a potential occupational hazard. It is this core problem that comes from a psychosocial perspective that must be addressed to minimize work hazards.

Abstract

This research investigates the paradigm shift towards Ecological Finance Theory (EFT) and its implications for resilience and diversity within financial economics. Drawing on insights from ecology, sustainability science, and complexity theory, EFT proposes a holistic approach to understanding and managing financial systems in the context of global environmental challenges and socio-economic uncertainties. The study develops a conceptual framework for EFT, emphasizing resilience and diversity as central tenets in enhancing the sustainability and stability of financial ecosystems. Central to EFT is the recognition of the interconnectedness between financial systems and the natural environment. Resilience, defined as the ability to withstand and adapt to disturbances while maintaining essential functions and structures, emerges as a key principle in navigating uncertainties and mitigating systemic risks within financial markets. Moreover, diversity, encompassing a variety of market participants, financial instruments, investment strategies, and perspectives, is crucial for fostering innovation, inclusivity, and resilience within financial ecosystems. The research findings underscore the transformative potential of EFT in reshaping financial systems towards greater sustainability and resilience. By integrating ecological principles and sustainability criteria into financial decision-making processes, EFT offers a pathway towards building a more stable, inclusive, and sustainable financial future. As financial practitioners, policymakers, and researchers increasingly embrace this holistic approach, the vision of a resilient and sustainable financial system capable of navigating the complexities of the 21st century becomes increasingly attainable.

Abstract

This research delves into the intricate landscape of Human Research Information Systems (HRIS) through the lens of Institutional Theory. HRIS plays a pivotal role in modern organizations, serving as a central repository for managing human resources data and informing decision-making processes. However, the complexity of HRIS is increasingly pronounced due to factors such as technological advancements, evolving organizational structures, and shifting workforce dynamics. This study aims to elucidate the multifaceted nature of HRIS complexity and its implications for organizational practices. Employing qualitative research methods, including interviews, case studies, and document analysis, this study investigates how institutional pressures shape the design, implementation, and utilization of HRIS within organizations. Through an exploration of diverse organizational contexts, the research identifies the various institutional forces that influence HRIS dynamics and the strategies employed by organizational actors to navigate these pressures. By adopting an Institutional Theory perspective, this research offers insights into the interplay between institutional forces and HRIS complexity, shedding light on the underlying mechanisms driving organizational practices. The findings reveal a nuanced understanding of HRIS complexity, highlighting the intricate interactions between institutional pressures, organizational actors, and HRIS functionalities. Moreover, the research uncovers the ways in which organizational actors negotiate meaning within the context of HRIS, illustrating the dynamic nature of HRIS within organizational settings. These insights contribute to theoretical advancements in understanding HRIS complexity through an Institutional Theory lens and offer practical implications for HRIS management and organizational strategy. Ultimately, this study underscores the importance of considering broader institutional forces when examining HRIS dynamics and emphasizes the need for organizations to align HRIS initiatives with institutional goals. By illuminating the complex interplay between institutions and HRIS, this research provides a foundation for enhancing HRIS effectiveness and promoting organizational resilience in an ever-evolving landscape.
