Abstract

Abstract. Delinquency picture resembles a misbehaving adults. The proportion of variation of delinquency explained through peer conformity and self-concept. Measurement of delinquency, peer conformity and self-concept involving 100 adolescents aged 15 to 17 years. The findings showed: 1) peer conformity and self-concept significantly predicted increased delinquency, 2) correlation of peer conformity (with controlling of self-concept) with delinquency is positive and significant; 3) correlation of self-concept (with controlling of peer conformity) with delinquency is negative and significant. The research findings are discussed in the context of adolescent developmental tasks.Keywords: Self-concept, peer conformity, delinquency

Abstract

Abstract. The main purposes of this research are to find the differences of learning motivation   and self-confidence of students come from intact family or peace family and the broken family. The subjects in this study were 100 students come from SMA Negeri I Panji Situbondo. They were 50 students from intact families and 50 students from families broken home. Data analysis was used statistical t-test. Results showed learning motivation of students come from intact families is more high than student from broken families. Adversly, students come from intact families are less confident than students from broken families. Further, the results will be discussed in this article.Keywords: intact family and broken, learning motivation, self-confidence

Abstract

Abstract. This study aimed to determine the relationships between emotional maturity, self-confidence and the anxiety to face retirees. Subjects were 60 civil servants who are resident residing in the Territory Housing Complex Tandes. Data retrieval tool used is the scale emotional maturity, self-confidence scale and face the anxiety scale pension. Data were analyzed by using multiple reggression. The results showed: first, there was a negative relationship between emotional maturity and anxiety civil servants. It showed when one's emotional maturity is high, then the anxiety state employees retirement will decrease. Second, showed that there was a negative relationships between self-confidence and anxiety civil servants. when  self-confidence is high, then the anxiety state employees retire-ment will decrease.Key Words: emotional maturity, self-confidence and employee’s anxiety in  fa-cing the future pension.

Abstract

Abstract. New students often encountered obstacles, especially adapted to the academic environment.  For being well adjusted students need the ability of self-leadership. Based on that reason, this research aims to test a correlation between self-leadership and academic adjustment in college students in the first year. Subjects of the study were 93 freshman classes at the some public universities located in Surabaya. Data were collected by questionare and Likert scale. Further, the data were analyzed by the Pearson product moment correlation. Results showed positively correlation between self-leadership and students’ academic adjustment at the first year. Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to find out the relationships among over protect-tive and self-confidence with autonomy. The study involved 118 sixth grade elementary school children age 12 to 13 years to complete self-report of auto-nomy, overprotective and self-confidence. The results of data measurements were analyzed with multiple regression. The results of analysis showed: 1) there is a significant relationship between overprotective and self-confidence with autonomy, 2) there was no correlation between over protective with auto-nomy, and 3) there is a positive and significant relationship between the self-confidence and autonomy. The research findings are discussed in the context of child development. Keywords: overprotective, self-confidence, autonomy

Abstract

Abstract, Research aim  to know  correlation of between  perception toward family harmony and peer group with juvenile delinquency. Subject research is student of first class SMK 45 in Surabaya as much 91 people. The scales used as the data collects instrument are juvenile delinquency scales, Family harmony perception scales, and peer group scales. Use Scale Likert model which consists of 5 alternative options, while the data analysis method used is regresi analysis.The hypothesis result show that there is relationship between family toward harmony and peer group with juvenile delinquency.Keywords: Perception toward family harmony, peer group, juvenile delinquency

Abstract

Abstract,The Purpose  of this study is to determine the relationship between the Self-Direction Learning  with Self Esteem, and the relationship the Self-Direction Learning  with Adversity Quotient, separately or simultaneously. Variables used in this study consists of the independent variables , the Self-Esteem (X1), Adversity Quotient (X2). While the dependent variable, is the Self-Direction in Learning  (Y). The subject of this study are goverment junior high school 4 Gresik students class VIII. The Analysisresult state that Self-Esteem correlated positively with Self-Direction Learning . But Adversity Quotient is positively correlated with Self-Direction Learning . This means that significant, the variable Self-Esteem and Adversity Quotient togetherly affect significantly to the Independence of Learning. Keywords: Self-Esteem, Adversity Quotient, Self-Direction Learning

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of the research is to know the relationship between the emotional maturity and self confidence related to the students’ nervousness when they speak in front of the class. The subject of this research is 123 of 5th grade students of Petra 5 Christian Elementary School. The result of this research shows that there is a significant correlation between the emotional maturity and self confidence and the students’ nervousness when they speaking front of the class; partially, the result shows that the emotional maturity correlates negatively but it is not significant with the students’ signifycant who speak in front of the class and self confidence, correlates negatively which is significant with the students’ signifycance when they speak in front of the class.Keyword : the nervousness speaking in front of the class, the maturity of the emotional, self confidence

Abstract

Abstract, Harsh city life fosters behaviors harm others. Moral-value can internalized through a moral story that will encourage children to behave in prosocial manner. Sixteen moral story of sharing, cooperation, helpfulness, and act honestly given to the experimental group children twice a week. At week eight measured prosocial behavior. The measurement results were analyzed by t-test showed t = 18,149 (p < 0,01). The analysis showed the mean of prosocial behavior on experimental group (mean = 162,12) was significantly greater than control group (mean = 96,18). Key words: Moral story, prosocial behavior
