Abstract

xThe objective of the research is to understand the effect of compensation and work environment on work satisfaction and performance. Research population is the employee of Bank BTPN Malang Branchfor 68 people. Inferential Statistic Method is used in the data analysis, by utilizing Generalized Structural Component Analysis (GSCA). In this research, the direct and indirect effects of compensation and work environment on work satisfaction and performance are examined. Result of research indicates that there is a significant direct effect of compensation on work satisfaction. However, a significant direct effect of compensation on employee performance is absent. The employee often considers the wage, salary, and welfare indicators as low. Therefore, the manager is forced to produce a better match between wage, salary and welfare which are given to the employee to improve performance. There was no significant direct effectof work environment on work satisfaction, but there is significant indirect effect of work environment on work satisfaction through employee performance. It seems that the intermediate (intervening) is very necessaryfor the effect of employee performance on work satisfaction. There is a significant reci procal effect of work satisfaction on employee performance.

Abstract

The fragility of the capitalist economic system and the increasing competition in the capital markets make sharia securities firms need to implement competitive and market-oriented marketing strategiesbut still consider ethical investments, socially and in accordance with the principles of sharia through the implementation of sharia marketing strategies. This study aimed to test the marketing concept based onthe paradigm or Shariah Marketing Value consisting of Sharia Brand, Sharia Services, Sharia Process and evaluate the implementation of Socially Responsible Investment, which are assuwed to attect CompanyImage and the Investment Decision of investors. The population of this study is Sharia Division investors in PT.XYZ, Jakarta at 2011. The results of the data analysis by using Partial Least Square (PLS) are: 1) ShariaBrand, Sharia Process and Socially Responsible Investment partially significantly effect on the Company's Image. 2) Sharia Brand, Sharia Services and Socially Responsible Investment partially significantly attectInvesting Decisions. 3) Sharia Service does not affect significantly Company Image. 4) Sharia Process does not significantly affect to Invest rent Decision. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the professionalismand the principle of Shariah Islamic that offered by Sharia Marketing Value have been able to attract sharia capital market investors in Indonesia, especially on the Sharia Division, so that the consumersare not only dominated by investors with emotional and spiritual mindset but also rational investor (conventional investor). In addition, investors are considered to be ready to use the Socially Responsible Investment as a standard approach for their investment.

Abstract

Research aims to examine and confirm in manner of empiric (1) whether the compensation has direct and positive effect on the implementation of entrepreneurial government; (2) whether the applicationof compensation system directly and positively influences the performances of local government officers; (3) whether the implementation of entrepreneurial government effects directs and positives manners onthe performance of local government officers; (4) whether the compensation gives effect indirectly and positively on the performance of government officers through the implementation of entrepreneurial governmentas intervening variables Results of research indicate that: (1) the compensation provision system consisting of local performance benefit (TKD), promotion, self development, admission, and facility, provideseffect directly and positively to the implementation of entrepreneurial government; (2) the compensation provision system consisting of local performance benefit (TKD), promotion, self development, admission,and facility, gives effect directly and positively to the performance of local government officers; (3) the implementation of entrepreneurial government applied and prevailed into the organization life of the localgovernment of Gorontalo Province has direct and positive effect on the performance of local government officers; (4) the provision of compensation extends positively indirect effec on the improvement of theperformance of local government officers through the implementation of entrepreneurial government.

Abstract

This research goal is to describe and examine entrepreneur's characteristics, entrepreneurship potentials and sasirangan industries success in Kalimantan Selatan. Fuiter it also aims to identify andstudy the effort to empower the sasirangan industries enterpreneurs. So this research can give the academic contribution for developing the concept of society welfare through empowering paradigm and contributeto help the regional government to arise unique identity of South Kalimantan. The sample of this research is the enterpreneur of sasirangan industries that has fulfill the standard criteria. Data was taken by spreadingthe questionaires. The variables of enterpreneurs characteristics of sasirangan industries in South Kalimantan have positive and significant effect in success of the effort of sasirangan industries in SouthKalimantan. The variable of SME development policy has proved immoderate both the characteristic of enterpreneurship potential in succesful effort and the effect of entreprenourship potential. This research isconduct to surface that the variable of UKM developing policy will have the significant effect in success ofsasirangan industries in South Kalimantan if it is acted as the independent variable.

Abstract

Effort in building state apparatur as human resourses in goverment organisation has on important role in deciding success of development in general, as an effort to give prosperity to commenity and giving the best service. To do this of course we need to raise up the quality of apparatur, so they can do their job well to enchange goal achievement. Because of that the state apparatur should have some characteristics, namely , high expertise and skill, a wide knowledge, good talent potential, personality, motivation,morality and work ethic. To equire there characteristics, the apparatur should develop their potential by providing education and training programing based on their field of expertise. The system of work motivationand career development should be done in this case.This research study and analyze on the influence of work dicipline, motivation and career development,toward work ethic of civil servant at goverment of Tabalong regency, South Kalimantan.

Abstract

A strategy that will be successful in banking industries is to offer higher service quality to customer that occurs in the performance of the service itself. The aims of this research are: first, to examinethe simultaneous and partial significant effect between service quality and customer satisfaction of syariah bank in Bengkulu, and to analyze the dominant variable of service quality that affects customer satisfactionof syariah bank in Bengkulu as well. Convenience sampling and Accidental Sampling are used in data collection then the data are multiple linier regression. The findings of this study are: first, service qualityvariable has a positive simultanears and partial significant effect influencing customer satisfication of syariah banking in Bengkulu. This study also finds that Reliability variable is the dominant factor affecting customer satisfaction of syariah banking in Bengkulu; this means customer of syariah banks in Bengkulu views that reliability (banking staff competency) is the main indicator of service quality of syariah banks in Bengkulu. This findings give an important implication and recomendation to syariah banks in Bengkulu;syairah banks in Bengkulu should maintain and sustain reliability variable in order to increase customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This study is designed to test and prove empirically the role of religious spiritual motivation, both directly and indirectly, through organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) on lecturers'performance.Specifically, the purpose of this study is to analyze and empirically explore the role of : (1) aqeedah motivation on organizational citizenship behaviour (OCB), (2) ebada motivation on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB), (3) mu'amalah motivation on organizational citizenship behavior, (4) aqeedahmotivation on lecturers'performance, (5) ebada motivation on lecturers'performance, (6) mu'amalah motivation on lecturers'performance, and (7) organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) on lecturers'performance. The study is expected to enrich and expand the literature in management science, particularly in the area of human resource development motivation of employees and organizational behavior which will be useful for academics and practitioners. The population of this study are all lecturers in HaluoleoUniversity of Kendari which spreads out at 8 faculties. The samples are 120 lectuers, chosen using proportional sampling technique, and the analysis of the data uses PLS (Partial Least Square). The main conclusion of this study is that the performance of lecturer may be better if the ebada spiritual motivation is increased, especially in the understanding of religious values to the concepts of work, behaviour and performance in a religious point of view.

Abstract

Reality in condition of kota Ambon post-horizontal conflict and along with improvement in security situation also economy restoration has been conducted by the government, it is proved in economy growth in kota Ambon reaching 5% in 2008 compared with 0% in 1999. These conditions has encourage business activities in general, affecting commercial growth, in this case the growth of modern markets which is vying in attracting as many customers they can get to shops and how to deliver best service towardconsumers. This study has the objective to test stimulus which is given from store's environment and store's social factor toward impulsive buying tendency mediated by positive emotion of consumers at Mataharidepartement store in Kota Ambon. This study is an explanatory research. Population of this study is consumers who shops in Matahari Department Store in Kota Ambon. With respondent for 128 people, samplingdetermination is using purposive sampling method. Data analysis technique in this study is using path analysis. Result of the analysis showed that there are direct effects from physical environment and social aspect of the store toward consumer's positive emotion and toward impulsive buying tendency. Result of this study also revealed that there are direct effects of consumer's positive emotion toward impulsive buying tendency and indirect effects of store's environment stimulus and store's social factor toward impulsivebuying tendency mediated by consumer's positive emotion.

Abstract

Decentralization era makes change the design of development strategic management at local government. Local autonomy assert that planning authority is on local government's hand. The local election makes the political campaign at the city mayor/regent as the refence point of RPJMD. The design change demands strict, effective and efficient evaluation process. The study designs the general evaluation of strategic management implementation at regencies and cities level. The study used ex post and ex ante models simulations. The study observs various law regulations about evaluations and refide former evaluation models weaknesses.As the results, the study recommends that the strategic management evaluation should be done in evaluation types, that is SKPD local government task force evaluation on its capacity in implementing the middle term development plan and SKPD capacity evaluation in implementation. Evaluation realization is condised by measuring the consistence and achievement the target indicator from: (i)activities (output), (ii) program (outcome), and (iii) objectives (impacts): While, the SKPD capacity evaluation is done by (i) using 24 key indicators (ii) based on AHP method to determine indicator weight (iii) evaluators consist of superiors, SKPD partner, subordinate UPT and themselves, and (iv) FGD utilization aims to determine each evaluator weight. To reach high efficiency, evaluation process should be done since the beginning when city mayor/regent starts their official position.

Abstract

The study aims to: examine, test, and evaluate the influence of emotional quotient (EQ) andspiritual transformational leadership on job satisfaction, and performance. The study is conducted inshariah banks in Malang. The research sample is 65 shariah banking managers. Sample determinationconsiders satumted sampling while research data analysis uses PLS (Partial Least Square). The resultshows that: emotional quotient (EQ) significantly influences transformational leadership, emotional quotient(EQ) significantly influences job satisfaction, emotional quotient (EQ) significantly influences performance,spiritual quotient (SQ) significantly influence transformational leadership, spiritual quotient (SQ)significantly influences job satisfaction, spiritual quotient (SQ) significantly influences performance, transformationalleadership significantly influences job satisfaction, transformational leadership significantlyinfluences performance, and job satisfaction significantly influences performance.
