Abstract

The study applies the resources-based strategy of firm, which focuses on the effect offunctional strategy for the effectiveness of corporate strategy application. The two main purpose of this study were : (1) to discover the simultaneous and partial relationship of variables the functional strategy (operational, financial, marketing and human resources) for the effectiveness of corporate strategy application., and (2) to determine variable which has the biggest influence on the effectiveness of corporate strategy application. The result of this research shows that (1) positive significant influence is the evidence of functional starategy (4 variable) for the effectiveness of corporate strategy application. (2) marketing variable has the biggest influence on effectiveness of corporate strategy applications.Keyword: implementation strategy, corporate strategy, functional strategy

Abstract

SMEs are business sector that is resilient to the turmoil of changes in environmental conditions, tough and can survive compared to large business and corporations, objective research to understand and analyze the innovation strategies of SMEs which constitute Malang city branding is based on the concept of self development in innovating. This study is a qualitative study, using the paradigm fenomology. The informants are Keripik Tempe Rohani in Malang, Petani Bunga and Pusat Makanan Oleh-oleh Vigor in Batu and Batik Druju in Malang. The research findings is the theme of legacy business, consumers and competitors theme, the theme of the income, while the conclusions are (1) the reasons that encourage SMEs to innovate is the legacy business, to anticipate consumer saturation and competition, and to increase revenue; and (2) the innovation strategy undertaken by SMEs. Abstract

Environmental changes in the era of globalization require companies to be able to increase the levelof competition. Some opinions assess that knowledge is seen as a determinant factor in improving theperformance of the company. The purpose of this study is to debate how the influence of knowledge managementon organizational performance through innovation, and implementation strategies. Lavalette Hospital Malangwas chosen as the object of this study. Questionnaires were distributed by using direct survey method witha total of 176 respondents, and 168 questionnaires returned. Based on the analysis of Partial Least Square(PLS smart 2.0) Research shown that knowledge management influence on innovation and implementation ofthe strategy, however innovation does not affect the performance of the organization. The interesting resultfrom this study is evidence that the innovation effect on organizational performance when in mediation by theimplementation of the strategy. Another finding in this study is the direct influence of knowledge managementon organizational performance is worth less than its impact on organizational performance is mediated by theimplementation of the strategy. These findings indicate that the implementation of the strategy has a crucialrole in optimizing the performance of the organization. These results also can be a proliferation of how acompany should realize the optimal organizational performance.

Abstract

The research purpose is to analyze the impact between environment, knowledge sharing behavior, and inovation to the performance of leather shoes enterprise in Mojokerto, East Java. The analysis tool is multiple regression used a  SPSS 16 program.  The research results  show the tested hypotheses, there are significant partial and simultaneous impact between environment , knowledge sharing behavior and inovation to performance. Knowledge sharing behavior as dominanly influence performance, which means SMEs must gain informations about competitor strategy to create product creativity & innovation, market trends & pole  and product design to suit the customer behavior.

Abstract

This study analyzes the development of beach tourism in Buton Tengah, namely, Mutiara beach in Gumanano Village, Wantopi Beach in Wantopi Village, and Katembe Beach in Madongka Village. This study involved stakeholders of beach tourism in Buton Tengah as informants. They are representatives from the Tourism Department, Assembly at Buton Tengah regional, Village Heads, Communities and tourists of each tourist destination. This research is a type of qualitative research with a case study approach, and also data collection using direct interviews to the informant. The result of this study shows that the first, beach tourism in Buton Tengah is a type of natural tourism that have unique difference between one type of tour with another tour, in addition, there are also cultural and artificial tours. Second, beach tourism in Buton Tengah is currently managed by the local government and the local village government. Third, there is a miscommunication between stakeholders which causes the development of beach tourism in Buton Tengah to be less developed and lack competitive. Fourth, the lack of competitiveness strategies implemented by stakeholders. The last, the lack of stakeholders' knowledge regarding the development of competitive beach tourism.

Abstract

This study examines the cultural dimensions practiced by leaders and the impact of the cultural dimensions on leadership styles of leaders in State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim. The variables used in this study are five cultural dimensions and transformational leadership style. This study applies quantitative method to reveal the effect of independent on dependent variables.This study used employees’ perspective of their leader characters to reveal the cultural dimensions and its effect on transformational leadership style. Data collection method used in this research was probability sampling method with the sample of 90 employees at State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim. The hypotheses were tested using logistic regression analysis. The results showed that the leaders at State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim practiced big power distance which causes gaps among the leaders and employees. They also tend to be individualism-based in managing the organization. With the power focus, they possess masculine culture in which more logical reasoning is highlighted. Although they can accept uncertainty of the results, the leaders still focus on the future benefits of every decision they make. Moreover, the independent variables power distance, uncertainty avoidance, and terms of orientation significantly influence transformational leadership style practiced at the university. However, individual/collectivism and masculinity/femininity factors do not have any influence on the implementation of transformational leadership style in this university.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the influence of team work, leadership style and organizational culture on nurse performance with organizational commitment as a mediating variable. The research unit is nurses at Type B hospitals in Jakarta. The population is 1362 nurses. Methods of collecting data using surveys. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Questionnaires were distributed to 523 respondents. Data analysis method uses Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square SEM-PLS). The results of the study prove that teamwork has a positive effect on nurse performance. Teamwork does not affect organizational commitment. Organizational culture has a positive effect on nurse performance. Organizational culture has a positive effect on organizational commitment. Leadership style does not affect nurse performance. Leadership style does not affect organizational commitment. Organizational commitment has a positive effect on nurse performance. Organizational commitment cannot play a role in mediating the influence of teamwork on nurse performance. Organizational commitment can play a role in mediating the influence of organizational culture on nurse performance. Abstract

This research aims to know the role of brand image to mediate the influence of green marketing on The Body Shop brand loyalty of beauty products. This research was conducted with 150 respondents in the city of Malang and used the purposive sampling method. Methods of data collection used a questionnaire distributed through google forms. The data analysis technique used was Structural Equation Model (SEM) with Partial Least Square (PLS) approaches. Based on the results, green marketing had a positive and significant impact on brand image. Green marketing had a positive and significant impact on consumer loyalty. The brand image had a positive and significant impact on consumer loyalty. The brand image could significantly mediate the influence of green marketing on consumer loyalty beauty products of The Body Shop. These results revealed that the greater the green marketing gained and perceived by consumers was, the greater the sense of brand image and consumer loyalty arose from The Body Shop’s consumers.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know and describe the process of the orientation component of entrepreneurship (Passion, Risk Taking, proactive, innovative) in improving business performance by Siti Hajnia as Owner of Saboten Shokudo as an individual culinary business owner in Malang. Abstract

The research objective was to examine the influence of the brand experience, brand satisfaction, and brand trust toward brand loyalty. The quantitative research approach of this research was Path Analysis (Path Analysis). The population is all the people who've made a purchase on the 8 (eight) objects typical culinary Malang. The sampling method is Non-Probability Sampling and sampling technique is purposive sampling. Data sources are primary and secondary. Primary data is data results of the questionnaire testing the research instrument using validity and reliability test. The results showed that the experience of the brand had a significant influence on the satisfaction of the brand, the brand experience had a significant influence on brand trust, brand experience had no significant effect on brand loyalty, satisfaction brand had a significant influence on brand loyalty, brand trust had a significant influence on brand loyalty , experience the brand had an influence indirectly significant brand loyalty through mediation brand satisfaction, and brand experiences have indirect effect on brand loyalty through the mediation of confidence in the brand.
