Abstract

The objective of this study is to determine the characteristics of the entrepreneurialscavengers society: scavengers (pemulung), pelapak and bandar. The research location is at Bantar Gebang Bekasi waste disposal. The Research used phenomenology qualitative approach. The sampling method is purposive sampling, namely by choosing a sample from the scavengers society members who have had experience of at least 5 years. The data was collected by in-depth interviews and direct observation inthe field. Data analysis was conducted qualitatively by exposing the phenomenological meanings implied in the experience of the interviewees. The results of this study find that entrepreneurial characteristics are different for each member of the scavenger community. Characteristics of scavengers are: self-confident, patient and persistent, internal motivation, work in earnest, and hard work; meanwhile the pelapak andbandar have similar entrepreneurial characteristics like what the scavengers have and five other characteristics namely: the courage to take risks, good at communication, intelligent reading opportunities, future orientation, and leadership.

Abstract

 The reseach goals are to test whether there is influence of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to customer loyality. The research method was observasional analitic research with cross sectional study. The respondents 42 pregnant mother in the CRM program. CRM variables consist of people, process and technology was colect with self administered quesionare . Data was analyzed with the multiple linierregression and processing of data using SPSS 18 software. The result showed that CRM affects pregnant mother loyality of labor service.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to understand the impact of economic freedom and monetaryvariables in five ASEAN countries namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines and Singapore. Economic freedom of these countries is varied. Singapore can be categorized as free; whereas, Malaysia and Thailand are moderately free. Indonesia and Philippines are mostly unfree.It was found that there were different variables affecting stock price in these countries. In Indonesia, stock price are affected bystock prices in the past. In Malaysia, stock prices are affected by exchange rate. While in Thailand, stock prices are affected by interest rate. In Philippines, stock prices are affected by interest rate and stock prices in the past. In Singapore, stock prices are affected by the inflation rate.

Abstract

 The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of product attributes, prices, the need to find variations and dissatisfaction on brand switching decisions toward Samsung Galaxy series. The population of this research is consumers who use smartphone with Android operating system, with sample number as many as 100 respondents. Data analysis in this study uses multiple regression. The results showed thatthe product attributes and prices provides significant but negative effect on brand switching decisions; meanwhile, the need for variation and dissatisfaction brings positive and significant impact on brand switching decisions. In order to avoid brand switching behavior, the company developed a marketing strategy by making innovations on product attributes and making proper pricing that suits the needs ofconsumers. In addition, Samsung's strategy to attract potential buyers is by giving promotions and attractive discounts. The company must continuously create a good brand image for Samsung smartphone brand. This is done as an effort to build a strong brand. Through the company's strong brand image, it can satisfy the customer and minimize customers to seek for product variations other than Samsung smartphone brand.

Abstract

Policies that are not in line with the Special Autonomy under Law No. 21 of 2001 still runs inPapua. Empowerment is still very limited, while the culture of having a dialogue and restructuring policy formats has not been started-up so that the goal to build New Papua New which is more fair, more dignified, and more prosperous cannot be achieved yet. The purpose of this study is to determine the cultural elements of a number of ethnic groups that play a role in the bureaucratic leadership of the Papua ProvincialGovernment. Qualitative method which is symbolic interactionism uses phenomenological perspective to understand this observation. Selected 10 key informants from Papuan leaders consist of 4 (four) senior bureaucrats, 2 (two) researchers and 4 (four) intellectual. From with ten key informants, the researcher explores their opinions and experiences; besides, participant observation, personal experience of theresearcher in the government bureaucracy, and review of literature enriches the depth of this research. The results of this study contribute to the theory of Capacity Building of Government Bureaucracy. The propositions generated are 1.The more we care about the ethnic groups in Papua and understand their culture, then togetherness and unity can be achieved.2. ”The stronger the role of traditional leaders on formal leadership,the implementation of the tasks will be ineffective and inefficient.3.As more leaders do not understand their task and do not understand the culture of the ethnic groups in their environment, it results in the misconduct of their behavior and causes organizational management not well-run. 4.If the leaders obey rules and organizational norms as well as concern on the cultural communities, the organization governance can run effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

This research is to analyze the effect about empirically test: 1) whether professional teacherinfluences to school education managements, 2) whether ascendant curriculum to schooled education managements, 3) if yielding learned influential to schooled education managements, 4) if professional teacher influentialing to education qualities, 5) if ascendant curriculum to education qualities, 6) if yielding learned influential to education qualities, and 7) what is influential schooled education managementto education quality. Observational method that is utilized is format design affiliate approaching (mixing approach), which is supported quantitative approaching by qualitatif's approaching as minor approaching. Observational location on 20 Regencies/City that exist on Papua Province region with division as follows: 1) Regencies/Cities at Province upstate Papuan, namely: Jayapura city, Jayapura regency, Keeromregency, Sarmi regency, Supiori regency, Fertile regency, Nabire regency, Yapen regency, and Waropen Regency,2) Regencies/Cities at Papua Province middle part, namely: Jayawijaya regency, Paniai regency, Mimika regency, Tolikara regency, Pegunungan Bintang regency, Puncak Jaya regency, and Yahukimo regency, and 3) Regency/City at austral Papua Province, namely: Merauke regency, Asmat regency, BovenDigoel regency, and Mappi Regency. The Result show that: 1) marks sense kausal's relationships among teachers professional factor, curriculum, learned result, education management to education quality, 2) schooled education managements constitute education quality determinants, but then also so prescribed by professional teacher, curriculum, and tall studying result. If education management corresponds to thatexpected deep its management therefore good education quality will be reached conversely.

Abstract

 In export activities, maritime transport using container is a very important mode of transportation.The mode is the most well-known facility which serves at port of Tanjung Priok, Jakarta. With regard to the claims for the container Services Manager at Jakarta's Tanjung Priok Port Area to create a service that can satisfy the quality exporters (shipper). For it is still important to answer whether the perceived service provided on the services of transport container for export in Jakarta Tanjung Priok Port Area on the basis of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and physical evidence may result in satisfaction of the shipper (the exporter)?The purpose of this research is to analysis, examination and explains influence the services, based on dimensions reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and physical evidence against customer satisfaction, and reviews and determine dimensions the services, which has important to increase customer satisfaction. The study is done at shipper that is active in 2010 and on Bugis road at Tanjung Priok Port Area as manyas 122 companies. Meanwhile, samples this research is all member population, and put their manager deal directly with that activity as respondents. Data from the scattering instrument research analyzed using structural equation unified with software Lisrel 8.80. The results showed that service quality are reflected from the reliability in providing services, responsive service, the guarantee given in the process of customer service,empathy, as well as the availability of physical infrastructure and facilities which are able to increase the satisfaction of the transportation service users in Jakarta Tanjung Priok container Port Area. Interesting finding of this research is the dimension of the guarantee in providing services is the most important element in improving customer satisfaction on the transportation service of container for export in Jakarta Tanjung Priok Port Area. Furthermore, it can be informed from the result of this study that the insurance included in the qualityof the service, the employee in their confidence in customers; security guarantees in the attitude of the transaction, polite in the service of employees and to provide services employees in knowledge is an important role in creating a service quality of excellence in transportation services container. These results indicated that the role of human resources is the key success in guarantee to produce quality of the service, which can improve the shipper satisfaction.
