Abstract

Problems of PDAM now a days as a BUMD mostly are low performance and loss which is experienced in almost each operational year. Company performance, observed from its relationship with leadership which is influenced by compensation policy, can create job satisfaction and motivate that leader. Leadership, in its activities will result attitude style, show leadership style, and the managerial competence of a leader in order to influence organizational performance. The goal of this research is to reveal: (i) the strength of the influnce of compensation toward job satisfaction, leader motivation, and company performance, (ii) the strength of the influence of leadership style in the perception of leadership style: transactional, transformational, and servant, toward company performance. The institutional unit analysis, sampling frame is the direction of PDAM in eight provinces in Indonesia, include 108 PDAM. The respondents in this research are 324. Response rate is 48,15% from 52 PDAM. The survey method is used to measure the respondent perception. The sampling technique is using closed and open questionnaires, and interview is based on the Purposive Sampling Quota by sub group the populations. Statistical analysis is used to test the hypothesis using the model Structural Equition Model (SEM). The findings of this research are: (i) the appearance of differing variables between the the groups of leaders and of non-leaders in its relationship with the company performance, which is the servant leadership style, (ii) compensation strategy which influences job satisfaction can motivate leaders dan reach their goals only through the practice of servant leadership style, and (iii) compensation which influences extrinsic and intrinsic of company leaders then influences transactional leadership style specifically.

Abstract

In accordance with the technology development, the beauty variation and mode in Indonesia also develop, signed by the development of cosmetics product with various types and complete colors choice. The cosmetics companies are expected to be proactive on facing the technological changes and the strict competition by giving excessive values to the products, so that each of the product will bring the different impression. The consumers always evaluate the products which are considered fulfill their needs and look for the information which are relevant with their needs before making decision to buy the products. This research aim at knowing the factors that influence the decision of buying the face cleaner namely Ovale and knowing the significance of those factors. This research uses factor analysis as the instrument to identify the significance level of the factors which influence the decision making to buy the Ovale face cleaner. The result of this research shows there are three main factors which influence the consumers to buy Ovale face cleaner i.e., product, price, and promotion factors. The result of hypothetical test shows that product factors is the most dominant factor that affect the consumer to buy Ovale face cleaner.

Abstract

The research was intended to verify the determinants of websites usage as learning media based on Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) and Theory of Technology Acceptance (TTA). The population was all bachelor degree students of Economic Faculty at State University of Malang, which studied major subjects of marketing at 2nd semester in 2007/2008. The population size was 344 students. The Davis-Cosenza's formula was used to determine the sample size of 183 students. The Likert-five point scale was used as a research instrument. Furthermore, the data were analyzed by structural equation modeling. The findings fully confirmed the measurement model of TRA and TTA, and the structural model of TRA, while the structural model of TTA was confirmed by adjustment of its measurement model.

Abstract

Talking about Public Relations iis means that talking one dimension of communications sciences. Public relations consist of all forms of planned communications, outwards and inwards, between an organizations and its publics for the purposes of achieving specific objectives concerning mutual understanding. There are two subject or public that needed to attence by public relations officer, they are internal public relations and exsternal public relations. Public Relations is the mediator between the public and the firms, so the communication that happened in public relations in a firm must be two way communication (mutual understanding). The most important thing public relations officer has to able create something good to achaive the aim by create public understanding, public confidence, public support and public cooperations.

Abstract

Society empowerment through Sharia Micro Finance Institution is perceived as a strategic effort. This is due to the clasical problems confront by Micro Business Entity. One of them is capital requiremeni, not to mention off course other problems such as: managerial aspect and lower motivation to have forward looking orientation in developing their business. Nevertheless this aspect required integrative and ceaseless effort to support the success of economic society empowermeni. Sharia Micro Finance Institution is one of the Micro Economic entity that is most suitable to nurture the economic society empowerment. Due to the Sharia economic principle in its operation which would enable the nurturing of micro economic business entity, especially as a target of dakwah and not only for capital inducement but more likely on the monitoring and evaluation on the success of the entity which is also the responsibility of Sharia Micro Finance Institution. This is the requirement to maintain the continuity of Financial institution, hindering the failure of funding, and also as social mission carried out by Sharia Micro Finance Institution as an effort to established society empowerment.

Abstract

The role of consumers is very significant for the business in gaining their purpose. The evident has proved that how the best of goods and services depend on the consumers awareness. That's why the rational reason of producing of goods and services are the existence of consumer's needs. The business have tried to afford the huge amount of promotion in order to encourage the buying decision of consumers. The purpose of the research is to examine and analyze: (1) the influence of attribute of natural tourism object on consumer's image and the decision in visiting; (2) the influence of promotion on consumers image and the consumer's decision in visiting; (3 the influence of individual characteristics on consumer's image and the consumer s decision in visiting: (4) the influence of consumer's image on consumers decision in visiting; (5) the difference attribute of natural tourism object, promotion, individual characteristic, consumer's image and the consumer's decision in visiting at 4 various groups attractions of natural tourism object in East Java. The population is 220 national tourist who are visiting in weekend at 16 natural tourism object in East Java and 200 questionnairs considered to analyze. Sampling method is by multistage sampling which consisted of proporsioned purposive sampling and accidental sampling. Data analyze is applied by descriptive and inferential statistics. Descriptive analyze is done by percentage and inferential analyze is done by SEM through AMOS Software 4.01 verse and ANOVA through LSD. The analyze has indicated that (1) there is positive and significant influence between attribute of natural tourism object on consumers image and consumer s desiocion in visiting; (2) there is not influence of promotion on consumer's image and the consumer's decision in visiting; (3) there is positive and significant influence between individual characteristics on consumer's image and the consumers decision in visiting; (4) there is positive and significant influence between consumer's image on the consumer's decision in visiting; (5) there is significant difference of attribute of natural tourism object, promotion and the consumer's decision in visiting at 4 various groups attractions of natural tourism object in East Java.

Abstract

The objective of this research are to compare performance of syariah banking performance which use profit and loss sharing system and conventional banking performance which use interest system by CAMEL approach that including valuation of capital aspect, asset quality aspect, management aspect, earning aspect, and liquidity aspect. Beside that, to identify the most distinguishable performance variable between syariah system and conventional system. Data exploited in this research is secondary data alike financial ratios on publication of bank's quarterly that ezposed on Indonesian Central Bank's website (htpp://www/bi/go/id). The result of this research show that performance of syariah banking and conventional banking have been better, sharia banking have reached the higher LDE, ROA ratio significantly otherwise conventional banking performance was better than CAR. Sharia banking performance was better than conventional banking performance based on LDR, and second was NPM.

Abstract

This research was done at non-profit companies. Whereas, there was limitation number of research that connecting with non-profit company. The aim of this research were to describe non-profit strategic typology that was used by hospitals in Banjarmasin, to know environment dynamic variable as moderator in the influence of strategic planning and operational planning toward non-profit company's performance, based on balanced scorecard approach. This research was kind of explanatory research, defines as the research that explains correlation between variables and tests the hypothesis. The population is people who work in hospital and get involves in strategic planning arranger and operational planning at each hospitals in Banjarmasin. Census sampling technique was used in this research, which were resulted 60 peoples as respondent. Hypothesis was tested by Moderated Regression Analysis (MR4). The result of this research showed five in eight hospitals have been implicating non-profit strategic typology that was piggybacking strategy. Second, the result showed that the dynamical of environment is moderator in the influence of strategic planning and operational planning toward non-profit company's performance, based on balanced Scorecard approach. Third, the result of this research also showed that the dynamical of environment is moderator in the influence of strategic planning and operational planning toward non-profit company's performance, based on balanced scorecard approach, significantly.

Abstract

penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterkaitan profesionalisme (kualifikasi komptensi dan tanggung jawab) terhadap kinerja guru. Sampel penelitian adalah guru SMP Metro Lampung. Sedang pengambilan sampel memakai metode purposive quota random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan kualifikasi akademik, kompetensi dan tanggung jawab dengan kinerja guru.

Abstract

Customer buying behavior is affected by Environment changes. They like one stop shopping concept, because of its comfortable and variances of products, which are they shouldnt get some products in different places for each. With the amount of products and large area that hypermarket has, so it can be applied this one stop shopping concept. There's much competitors in hypermarket business, it needs the strategy to keep their old customers or get some new customers, and being focus on customer satisfaction for its effect on behavioral intentions in the future. Besides the service quality factor that can be affected to customer satisfaction in retail business, there is need to learn about retailing mix concept. Knowing the customer perceptions of retailing mix and service quality especially in "Hypermart" Malang Town Square (MATOS) and also knowing the retailing mir and service quality effect of customer satisfaction and behavioral intentions, are the aims of this research. Confirmatory analysis is including to the survey category of this research. Purposive sampling technique was used in this research with 148 respondents of it. The analysis of this research was using SEM (Structural Equation Modeling method with LISREL 8.30 program to make it work. Mostly, The customers value for their perception of retailing mix and service quality in "Hypermart MATOS" are good enough, like their strategist location, their variances of product, their high quality standard, their price of product that's similar to its quality, and their brands can be used optimally. Besides that, the high service quality in this "Hypermart MATOS" can make well customer satisfaction and also for the customer's behavioral intentions on the future.
