Abstract

The famous eight queens problem with non-attacking queens placement on an 8 x 8 chessboard was first posed in the year 1848. The queens separation problem is the legal placement of the fewest number of pawns with the maximum number of independent queens placed on an N x N board which results in a separated board. Here a legal placement is defined as the separation of attacking queens by pawns. Using this concept, the current study extends the queens separation problem onto the rectangular board M x N, (MN),  to result in a separated board with the maximum number of independent queens. The research work here first describes the  M+k queens separation with k=1 pawn and continue to find for any k. Then it  focuses on finding the symmetric solutions of the M+k queens separation with k pawns.

Abstract

The degree sum exponent distance matrix M(G)of a graph G is a square matrix whose (i,j)-th entry is (di+dj)^ d(ij) whenever i not equal to j, otherwise it is zero, where di is the degree of i-th vertex of G and d(ij)=d(vi,vj) is distance between vi and vj. In this paper, we define degree sum exponent distance energy E(G) as sum of absolute eigenvalues of M(G). Also, we obtain some bounds on the degree sum exponent distance energy of some graphs and deduce direct  expressions for some graphs.

Abstract

This paper aims to introduce a new type of quasi (s,r)-contractive multi-valued operator on b-complete metric space and to extend the results for the fixed point theorems of quasi (s,r)-contractive multi-valued operator. As an application, the  existence of the solution for a type of differential equation is given.

Abstract

In the present paper we established some interesting results on purely Hermitian R-complex Finsler space with (α, β)-metrics, Firstly we characterize the conditions for the (α, β)-metric F = p α2 + εβ2 to be a purely Hermitian. Then determined the fundamental metric tensor, its inverse and determinent of the above metric. Further obtained Chern-Finsler connection coefficients and analysed necessary conditions under which an purely Hermitian R-complex Finsler space with (α, β)-metric to be Berwald, Kahler and strongly Kahler also given some examples.

Show Abstract | Download Original | Original Source | Check in Google Scholar | DOI: 10.22342/jims.27.1.939.123-129

Abstract

In this paper, we used the notion of soft w-open sets to introduce and study the concepts of soft b-w-open sets. Moreover, some of their properties are shown. Furthermore, the concepts of soft b-T1 and soft b-T2 spaces are defined.

Abstract

In this paper, we discuss concepts of lower and upper approximations edge Cayley graphs of Cayley graphs with respect to conjugacy classes. Also, we expand rough approximation to pseudo-Cayley graphs and introduce concept of lower and upper approximations vertex pseudo-Cayley graphs of them with respect to a conjugacy classes. In the following, we discuss the properties of automorphisms in the Cayley rough graphs.

Abstract

A larger class of algebraic hyperstructures satisfying the ring (field)-likeaxioms is the class of Hv-rings (Hv-fields). In this paper, we define the Hv-integraldomain and introduce the Hv-field of fractions of an Hv-integral domain. Also, theHv-quotient ring and some relative theorems are presented. Finally, some interestingresults about the Hv-rings of fractions, Hv-quotient rings and the relations betweenthem are proved.
