Abstract

PT. XYZ is a manufacturing company that produces grey fabrics, it can be customized by the customers. In order to increase productivity and quality production, the company trying to develop business by adding some machines with the latest type and technologies.  Based on direct observations, Company produced a lot of defects and causes a negative impact. The problem can be solved by 4 quality control methods (exist in seven tools method) check sheets, pareto diagrams, control charts, and fishbone diagrams. This method used to determine the root of problems related with the quality products.  Check sheet method analysis shown intensity categories of product defects with label “always”, “often” and “rarely”. Then, the analysis of pareto diagrams showing the most dominant types of defects, with the name “Loncat P / L” and “Ambrol”. Furthermore, the results of the control chart analysis show an uncontrolled status. Finally, it can be known that the problem causing product defects is quality of dirty raw materials, machine failure, labour fatigue, poor work methods and unhealthy environment. recommendations given by researchers to the company are further tighten SOP implementation, control and supervise workforce performance, workforce briefings, and pay attention to 5S work culture.

Abstract

PT. Triangle Motorindo is the sole agent holder of the VIAR Brand as one of the largest manufacturers of three-wheeled motorcycles in Indonesia. This company was founded in 2000 and has grown as one of the largest manufacturers of three-wheeled motorcycles in Indonesia. As one of the largest producers of three-wheeled motorbikes in Indonesia, PT Triangle Motorindo must be able to maintain and continue to improve the quality of their products in order to remain strong in the competition. In the production process, this company needs to reduce the number of defects that often occur in the production process, so that it decides to use the Six Sigma method to overcome these problems. Six Sigma is a statistical concept that measures a process related to defects or damage. Reaching six sigma means that a process generates only 3.4 defects per million chance, in other words, that it is running almost perfectly. The company is in a position where the defect type reaches 3.55 sigma. Therefore, the DMAIC method is used to increase it to 4 sigma. After the improvement stage is carried out, the company is expected to be able to reach the 4 sigma stage

Abstract

This research is to optimize the inventory of bakery products by using several approaches to dynamic deterministic methods. Dynamic deterministic methods used in this research are Wagner-Whitin Algorithm, Silver Meal, Least Unit Cost, Economic Part Period, Lot for Lot, Total Cost Least, Period Order Quantity and Part Period Balancing. The best method is the method that produces the lowest total inventory cost. The result of calculating the total inventory cost using the Wagner-Whitin  Algorithm method is Rp. 2,006,592 ,. The SilverMeal method generates a total inventory cost of Rp. 2,043,725.49. The Least Unit Cost method generates a total inventory cost of Rp. 1,894,624.18. The Economic Part Period method produces a total inventory cost of Rp. 1,235,546.41. The Lot for Lot method generates a total inventory cost of Rp. 2,835,000.00. The Least Total Cost method generates a total inventory cost of Rp. 1,894,624.18. The Period Order Quantity method generates a total inventory cost of Rp. 2,750,767.97. The Part Period Balancing method generates a total inventory cost of Rp. 1,894,624. From the results of all methods, the best method that can be made a proposal to UD.Roti Isabela is the Economic Part Period method with a policy of ordering 3 times an order with a total inventory cost of Rp 1,235,546.41.

Abstract

Planning and controlling the raw material inventory is carried out in such a way as to meet the needs of raw materials appropriately and at low cost. The problem with plate raw materials is that there is no appropriate method of controlling raw material supplies. Control of raw materials at this company is sometimes erratic due to unstable market demand. Experiencing an accumulation of raw materials when product demand decreases and there is a shortage of raw materials when product demand increases. This study aims to determine a probabilistic inventory model that is good for determining the order quantity, ordering time and safety stock by considering the minimum total cost. Based on the analysis and calculation results, the total inventory cost according to company policy is Rp. 14,734,832 / year, the total cost of the Q model is Rp. 16,300,517 / year with q value of 1,484, r is 965, ss 104, α of 0.013 and S of 2.449 and the total cost of inventory in the P model is Rp.6,384,473 / year with a T value of 0.019, R of 2.264, ss of 105 and α of 0.013. The results show that the Periodic Review System inventory model has an optimal total cost of inventory. Keywords: Inventory Control; Continuous Review System; Periodic Review System; Probabilistic.

Abstract

Bogasari is one of the largest wheat flour companies in Indonesia, besides wheat flour also produces a byproduct namely pasta, pellet, and livestock food. As a large company that produces many products need to do production scheduling so that the production time and product quantity produced reach the maximum. To avoid the extension of the production completion time that can ultimately lower the production quantity, one of the strategies that the company can do is by scheduling and allocating the company's resources. The selection of the right scheduling method needs to be done so that the company can have a decision in production scheduling that results in a minimum production completion time and the demand can be fulfilled on time. The methods used are CDS (Campbell Dudek Smith), SPT (Shortest Processing Time), LPT (Longest Processing Time), EDD (Earliest Due Date), and FCFS (First Come First Served). From the results of the research conducted the best scheduling method is the CDS with a makespan of 2,576,807.5 minutes and a flowtime of 21,665,932 minutes

Abstract

Pharmacy "ABC" is a trading business in Gunungkidul Regency, D.I. Yogyakarta which is engaged in the pharmaceutical and medical devices. In order to improve the performance of Pharmacy "ABC" in serving and meeting customer needs, it is necessary to identify risks and also mitigate so that supply chain risk management can run according to its function. As for the risk assessment in this study using the House of Risk (HOR). From the research which was conducted at Pharmacy "ABC", there were 17 risk events and 13 risk agents. Based on House of Risk 2 calculations, a risk management strategy will be obtained that is easy to do and can help mitigate the supply chain risk management (SCRM) process at Pharmacy "ABC". Risk management strategies that can be implemented in Pharmacy "ABC" are sharing and updating information with Distributors, building an intensive communication system via Whatsapp, making agreements with distributors regarding the timing of drug delivery to pharmacies, forecasting demand based on historical data and finally sharing and medical education to customers.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a company that produces various types of laundry machine with variety of capacity. It is important for a company to maintain the quality of production. The large number of different components originated from several suppliers scattered in several locations, require proper planning to avoid lack of parts or excessive of parts stored in the warehouse. The method of Activity Based Costing (ABC) and Hierarchical Clustering are employed to determine products and main components that are prioritized, as well as to perform reorder point calculation for product’s main components. The result of research identifies five raw materials that should be prioritized and considered, which are Old Version Rad Radiator, As VCN D 50 mm (Length of 60 cm) Black PlatEser MS 1 mm, Motor 1 HP 3 Phase 4 pole B3 Toshiba, and Steam trap S31N Miyawaki 1.6 MPA 220 Degree 15 mm ½”. Reorder point for old radiator could be carried out on the 4th day with safety stock of 2 units. Maximum storage is determined for 6 units with EOQ of 4 units.
