Abstract

ABSTRAK   Wahyudi, Nyoman Deni. 2012. Pilihan Bahasa dalam Ibadah Jemaat GKPB di Gereja ?Sabda Bayu? Singaraja: Sebuah Kajian Etnografi Komunikasi Pembimbing I              : Prof. Dr. I Nengah Martha, M.Pd. Pembimbing II            : Prof. Dr. Drs. I Wayan Rasna, M.Pd.   Kata kunci: pilihan bahasa, ibadah jemaat GKPB, etnografi komunikasi   Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menginterpretasikan (1) bahasa-bahasa yang dipilih oleh jemaat GKPB di Gereja ?Sabda Bayu? Singaraja dalam ibadah; (2) bentuk lingual pilihan bahasa yang digunakan dalam komunikasi antarbudaya oleh jemaat dalam ibadah; (3) nilai-nilai yang disampaikan melalui pilihan bahasa dalam ibadah yang dilakukan oleh jemaat dikaitkan dengan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter bangsa; dan (4) efek atau kesan makna yang ditimbulkan melalui penggunaan pilihan bahasa dalam ibadah. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah cakapan-cakapan jemaat GKPB di Gereja ?Sabda Bayu? Singaraja dalam ibadah yang menggunakan pilihan bahasa. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode observasi, studi dokumentasi, dan perekaman untuk mengumpulkan data masalah penelitian butir (1), butir (2), dan butir (3); dan metode wawancara untuk mengumpulkan data masalah penelitian butir (4). Data penelitian diolah secara induktif melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan simpulan dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian ini antara lain sebagai berikut. (1) Bahasa-bahasa yang dipilih oleh jemaat GKPB di Gereja ?Sabda Bayu? Singaraja dalam ibadah terdiri atas bahasa Indonesia sebagai bahasa utama dan bahasa pendukung lain, seperti bahasa Bali, Inggris, Ibrani, Jawa, Timor, Timor Dawan, Siau, Sabu, dan Simalungun. Pilihan bahasa tersebut ditampilkan melalui alih kode dan campur kode. (2) Bentuk lingual yang digunakan untuk menampilkan pilihan bahasa adalah pada tataran kata, frasa, dan kalimat yang berasal dari berbagai bahasa. Bentuk lingual kata paling banyak digunakan dan bahasa yang paling sering dimunculkan adalah bahasa Bali dan bahasa Inggris. (3) Nilai-nilai yang dikaitkan dengan sembilan nilai pendidikan karakter bangsa ditemukan dalam penggunaan pilihan bahasa, yakni cinta Tuhan, tanggung jawab dan kedisiplinan, ketulusan, hormat dan santun, kasih sayang, percaya diri dan kegigihan, keadilan dan kepemimpinan, baik dan rendah hati, serta toleransi dan cinta damai. (4) Efek atau kesan makna yang ditimbulkan melalui pilihan bahasa antara lain efek komunikatif, keakraban, kesakralan, kesantunan, dan ketidakpahaman. Peneliti lain diharapkan untuk melakukan penelitian sejenis yang lebih mendalam untuk mendapatkan hasil yang lebih maksimal.     ABSTRACT   Wahyudi, Nyoman Deni. 2012. Church of Singaraja in their worship; (2) the lingual forms of the language choice that is used in intercultural communication by GKPB congregation in ?Sabda Bayu? Church of Singaraja in their worship; (3) values that is being told through the worship by GKPB congregation in ?Sabda Bayu? Church of Singaraja through the values of national character education; and (4) the effect that is occurred while the GKPB congregation in ?Sabda Bayu? Church of Singaraja using the language choice in their worship. The data resources of this research were the conversations which were used by GKPB congregation in ?Sabda Bayu? Church of Singaraja in their worship in showing language choice. The methods that were used in this research were the observation method, the documentation study method, and recording method to collect the information in research point (1), point (2), and point (3); and the interview method to collect the information in research point (4). The results of this research were: (1) the language choice of GKPB congregation in ?Sabda Bayu? Church of Singaraja in their worship were Bali, Inggris, Ibrani, Jawa, Timor, Timor Dawan, Siau, Sabu, and Simalungun. The language choise performed by code switching and code mixing; code mixing was often used to show the language choice, (2) the lingual forms which were used by the congregation in their worship were words, phrases, and sentences from many languages; the lingual forms and the language which were often used are word forms, and Balinese language and English, (3) the values that related to the nine values of character building, which are showed by the congregation are religiousness, responsibility and discipline, honest, respectful and love, self confidence, justice and leadership, being good and low profile, and tolerance and love peace, (4) the effect that is occurred while the congregation using the language choice in their worship were the communicative effect, intimate effect, religious effect, politeness effect, and misunderstanding effects. It would be better if another researcher do this kind of research in order to get the better results.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aimed at investigating the classroom interaction types in RSBI class by using FIAC (Flanders Interaction Analysis Categories) system. FIAC system is a system that aims to measure the classroom interaction which has 10 categories, namely (1) accepting feeling, (2) praising and encouraging, (3) accepting or using ideas of student, (4) asking questions, (5) lecturing, (6) giving directions, (7) criticizing or justifying authority, (8) student-talk response, (9) student-talk initiation, and (10) silence. This study was conducted in XI. IPA 1 RSBI in SMA Negeri 4 Denpasar which consisted of thirty six students; twenty one were males and fiveteen were females. This study was carried out based on the case or phenomenon of the growth of RSBI school in Denpasar. For this reason, it is supposed that the classroom interaction of RSBI class will be different from the regular ones. The objectives of this study were to find out the classroom interaction characteristics based on the 10 Flanders categories and to find out the constraints faced by teacher and students in conducting teaching- learning process.   Key words: classroom interaction, Flanders interaction analysis, RSBI class.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penyikapan Putu Wijaya terhadap Tradisi Bali: Sebuah Kajian Sosiokultural Novel Putri. OLEH LUH DESI   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tokoh-tokoh dalam novel Putri karya Putu Wijaya, yang memberikan aksentuasi terhadap tradisi Bali, mendeskripsikan tradisi Bali dalam novel Putri, dan sikap Putu Wijaya yang terepleksi dalam novel Putri. Novel yang dijadikan objek dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Putri I dan Putri II, karya Putu Wijaya. Dalam mengaji kedua novel ini, digunakan beberapa teori yang dipandang relevan, yaitu teori sosiologi sastra, teori representasi, dan beberapa teori pendukung lainnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan pengajian kedua novel ini, yaitu tokoh-tokoh yang hadir dalam novel Putri cukup memberikan aksentuasi terhadap tradisi Bali. Putri yang menjadi tokoh sentral dalam kedua novel ini menggugat tradisi yang dipandang telah memperbudak masyarakat pendukungnya. Putri mencetuskan tradisi baru melalui pemikirannya yang lebih rasional. Tokoh Putri telah memperjuangkan kaumnya agar tidak tersubordinat oleh kaum laki-laki.Tradisi yang dianggap penting dalam kehidupan masyarakat perlu dilakukan modernisasi agar tradisi yang telah memfosil mendapat pencerahan untuk melalui pemikiran-pemikiran rasional. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh diharapkan ada  penelitian  lanjutan untuk mencari sisi lain dan menguaknya kembali dengan wacana yang berbeda.   Kata kunci: tokoh, tradisi, penyikapan ABSTRACT Putu Wijaya attitude Bali Against Tradition: A Study of Novel sociocultural Princess   This study aims to describe  characters in the novel Putri Putu Wijaya's work, which gives the accentuation of the traditions of Bali, described the novel tradition in Bali, Putu Wijaya and attitudes in a novel that reflected Putri. Novel objects used in this study is  novel putri I and putri II, by Putu Wijaya. In this novel the second chant, used some of the theories considered relevant, namely the sociology of literary theory, representation theory, and several other supporting theories. The study is based on the study of this novel, the characters are present in the novel Putri gives accentuation of the Balinese tradition. Putri who became a central figure in the novel is considered a tradition that has sued the enslaved community supporters. Daughter sparked a new tradition with a more rational thinking. Figures have been fighting for his people so that women do not cornered by men. Which is considered an important tradition in public life needs to be done to modernize the tradition that has been fossilized for enlightenment through rational thinking. Based on research results obtained are expected to have advanced research to find the other side and reveal it again with a different discourse.   Key words: character, tradition, attitude

Abstract

Abstract Key words: self esteem, gender differences, communicative competence This study was designed as an ex-post facto which aimed at seeing the effect of self esteem and gender differences toward kindergarten students? communicative competence. The samples were students at the age between 3-5 which were taken from TK A of 7 kindergartens around Denpasar and Badung area. The data were collected by using questionnaire, document analysis and observation.. The data were analyzed by using Two-way ANOVA with 2x2 factorial design.  The result of the analysis showed that there was no significant difference between male and female kindergarten students in their communicative competence. It was also found that there was no interaction between self esteem and gender toward kindergarten students? communicative competence. Since the result showed an absence of interaction between self esteem and gender, post-hoc multiple comparison with Tukey test was not carried out. This study concluded that there was no significant difference between male and female kindergarten students regarding their level of self esteem. There were several factors that possibly affect the finding of this study. The factors were the process of gender acquisition, early bilingualism, positive self esteem among children and teachers? questioning.

ABSTRAK   Tondowala , Sulvia Fery Hanry (2012), Pengembangan tes objektif pilihan ganda  Berbasis taksonomi anderson dan krathwohl  Untuk kemampuan membaca bahasa inggris Kelas viii smp di Kabupaten Poso, Propinsi Sulawesi Tengah. Tesis, Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan, Program Pascasarjana, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha. Tesis ini sudah disetujui dan diperiksa oleh: Pembimbing I : Prof. Dr. Nyoman Dantes dan Pembimbing II : Prof. Dr. AAIN. Marhaeni, M.A.   Kata Kunci: Tes Objektif Pilihan ganda, Taksonomi Anderson dan Krathwohl, dan membaca pemahaman bahasa inggris.   Penelitian ini merupakan model penelitian pengembangan yang diadopsi dari model pengembangan Sugiyono. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengembangkan tes objektif pilihan ganda berbasis taksonomi Anderson dan Krathwohl. Populasi penelitian yaitu SMP kelas VIII di Kabupaten Poso, Propinsi Sulawesi Tengah, dengan sampel penelitian berjumlah 250 orang siswa kelas VIII yang diambil dengan menggunakan tehnik cluster sampling dari 12 kelas pada 7 sekolah, dengan rincian sebagai berikut: 4 kelas dari SMP di kabupaten, 4 kelas dari SMP di Kecamatan dan 4 kelas dari SMP pedesaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan, bahwa instrumen tes yang dikembangkan telah mempunyai nilai validitas dan uji empirik yang cukup baik. Berdasarkan hasil uji lapangan dan analisis data ditarik simpulan sebagai berikut; (1) Kisi-kisi tes objektif pilihan ganda yang berdasarkan taksonomi Anderson dan Krathwohl memungkinkan pembuatan butir tes yang bervariasi untuk setiap jenis proses kognitif. (2) Validasi tes berbasis taksonomi Anderson dan Krathwohl yang meliputi: (a) Validitas isi sudah memenuhi syarat dengan melakukan melakukan uji judges, judges menyatakan instrumen relevan untuk diujicobakan. (b) Uji empirik instrumen pun dinyatakan sudah memenuhi syarat karena semua ketentuan yang harus ditempuh seperti; uji validitas butir, uji  tingkat kesukaran butir, daya beda dan uji efektivitas pengecoh, semuanya sudah dilakukan seperti yang telah ditentukan. (3) Reliabilitas tes objektif pilihan ganda berdasarkan taksonomi Anderson dan Krathwohl dinyatakan sudah memenuhi syarat karena konsistensi atau keajegan tes masih terhitung tinggi.     ABSTRACT   Tondowala, Sulvia Fery Hanry (2012), The Development of Anderson and Krathwohl Taxonomy Based Objective Test for English Reading Ability of Eight Grade Students of Junior High Schools in Poso Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. Marhaeni, M. A.   Keywords: objective test, Anderson and Krathwohl Taxonomy, reading comprehension.   This research is a developmental research model which is adopted from Sugiyono. It aims at developing objective test which is based on Anderson and Krathwohl Taxonomy. The population of this research was eight grade students of junior high schools in Poso Regency, Central Sulawesi Province, while the sample was 250 eight grade students of which was taken using cluster sampling technique from twelve classes of seven schools: four classes from the junior high schools in the regency, four classes from the junior high schools in the subdistric, and four classes from the junior high schools in village area. The findings of this research show that the instrument of the developed test has had adequate validity value and empirical test. Based on the field test and data analysis, the conclusion can be made as follows; (1) the blueprint of objective test which is based on Anderson and Krathwohl Taxonomy enables the development of the varied objective test for every type of cognitive process, (2) the validation tests which are based on Anderson and Krathwohl Taxonomy which include: (a) the content validity has fulfilled the requirement through the process of judges test, the judges stated that the instrument is relevant to be tried out, (b) the empirical test proved that the instrument has fulfilled the requirement since all of the requirements; item validity test, index of difficulty test, index of discrimination test, and distracter effectiveness test have been done properly, (3) the reliability test for the objective test proved that the instrument has fulfill the requirement since the consistency of the test can be categorized as high.

Abstract

The writer of the article explained briefly the history of teaching learning process in India which applied the ?Gurukul System of Education? which were dedicated and knowledgeable teachers, individualized and learner center teaching, and self-motivated students eager to learn. And it moved toward to the use of Audio-Video aids in supporting teaching learning process till the use of ICT as the media in that process. ?Gurukul System of Education was in vogue in India. The main characteristics of Gurukul System were dedicated and knowledgeable teachers, individualized and learner centre teaching, and self-motivated students eager to learn. This system changed due to increase in number of students. Consequently, the number of teachers increased. Some teachers are born but rests of them have to be given rigorous training so as to develop required competency to become a teacher. Teachers have been conscious about the quality of their teaching. To enhance the quality, some teachers use teaching aids, like, charts, models ? static & working, specimen, slides, etc. because teachers are given training both in preparation and use of Audio-visual Aids. It is a known fact that majority of schools do not have appropriate teaching aids related to the school content. So teachers have no facility to use A ? V Aids during teaching. . . . . This is the age of INFORMATION dominated by the Digital Technology. The Digital Technology has influenced all aspects of human life. Education is not an exception. . . . . One such device is Computer. The Computer is an electronic device that has the capacity to store, retrieve & process both qualitative & quantitative information fast and accurately. The computers were never developed for improving quality of teaching ? learning process. But researchers started using Computers for teaching purpose. It gave birth to Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI), Computer Managed Instruction (CMI), Computer Based Instruction (CBI), etc. People started developing CAI for teaching different subjects at School as well as Higher Education level.?

Abstract

Abstract This study was a research and development (R&D), which aimed at (1) developing types of reading materials that are needed by the tenth year multimedia students of SMK N 3 Singaraja; finding out (2) the content validity of the developed material; (3) the quality of the developed material based on the criteria of good ESP material and good e-learning; and (4) whether or not the developed material could improve the reading comprehension of the tenth year multimedia students of SMK N 3 Singaraja. This study followed the R&D design by Lee and Owens. This design involves: need analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This study was conducted at SMK N 3 Singaraja, the subjects of the study being the students of class X MM 2. The data were collected through questionnaire, interview, expert judgment sheet, scoring rubric, and tests. The data from the result of observation, interview and questionnaire during the need analysis process were analyzed using Interactive Data Analysis Model. The result of the expert judgment in validating the content validity of the developed material was analyzed using Interrater Agreement Model. While the result of the scoring rubrics in measuring the quality of the developed material based on the criteria of good ESP material and good e-learning material were analyzed using Theoretic Ideal Reference. The result of this study shows that: (1) the tenth year multimedia students of SMK N 3 Singaraja need specific English materials that are related to their future job or study. The existing syllabus and material did not cover their needs since the syllabus and the material were designed to be used for all departments in SMKN 3 Singaraja, namely: Electricity Installation, Multimedia, Audio Video, Computer and Networking, Light Vehicle, Motor Cycle, Building Construction, and Engineering Departments; (2) based on the validation process that was conducted through expert judgment, it was confirmed that the developed material had a very high validity; (3) from the result of the expert judgment based on the criteria of good ESP material and good e-learning material, the developed material was categorized into very good material; and (4) the result of the field study shows that the developed material could improve the students? reading comprehension. It can be seen from the result of pre-test, post-test I, and post-test II that measured the students? reading comprehension. The students? mean score for those tests, which reflect the students? reading comprehension, increased from 40.9 in pre-test, to 66.3 in post-test I, and 79.1 in post-test II. Based on the result of the questionnaire, the students had strongly positive attitude toward the developed material; and (5) from the observation in developing and implementing the developed material, the problems that were found can be classified into technical and financial problems. Wujud Kesantunan Imperatif dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di Kelas XI PSIA.1 SMAN 1 Kubu Karangasem.   Pembimbing I                          : Prof. Dr. I Nengah Suandi, M.Hum. Pembimbing II                        : Prof. Dr. I Made Sutama, M.Pd.   Kata Kunci: kesantunan, imperatif, pragmatik.   Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) wujud pragmatik imperatif, (2) wujud kesantunan linguistik, dan (3) wujud kesantunan pragmatik imperatif yang dinyatakan guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah tuturan guru dan siswa sejauh di dalamnya terkandung maksud atau makna pragmatik imperatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data penelitian ini adalah metode observasi, wawancara, dan rekaman. Metode observasi digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data-data tentang (1) wujud pragmatik imperatif, (2) wujud kesantunan linguistik, dan (3) wujud kesantunan pragmatik imperatif yang dinyatakan guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia, sedangkan metode wawancara dan metode rekam digunakan sebagai penunjang dalam pengumpulan data. Data yang telah terkumpul selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis kontekstual. Berdasarkan analisis tersebut,  diperoleh hasil penelitian sebagai berikut. (1) Ditemukan sembilan wujud pragmatik imperatif yang dinyatakan guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Kesembilan wujud pragmatik imperatif yang dinyatakan guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia adalah sebagai berikut. (a) tuturan yang mengandung makna pragmatik imperatif perintah, (b) permintaan, (c) desakan, (d)  bujukan, (e) persilaan, (f) larangan, (g) ngelulu, (h) harapan, dan (i) mengomando/aba-aba (2) Wujud kesantunan linguistik dapat diidentifikasi melalui tiga hal, yaitu (a) panjang pendek tuturan, (b) urutan tuturan, dan (c) ungkapan-ungkapan penanda kesantunan sebagai penentu kesantunan linguistik. Ungkapan yang dipandang sebagai pemerkah kesantunan imperatif yang dinyatakan guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di antaranya adalah tolong, coba, ayo, harap, silakan, dan biar. (3) Wujud kesantunan pragmatik imperatif dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia diwujudkan dengan dua macam wujud tuturan, yakni (a) tuturan deklaratif dan (b) tuturan interogatif. Pemanfaatan kedua tuturan tersebut selain berfungsi sebagai bentuk kesantunan dalam bertutur juga berfungsi sebagai modifikasi tuturan untuk menjalin hubungan yang harmonis, menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang dinamis, variatif, dan demokratis. Sesuai dengan hasil penelitian tersebut, disarankan hal-hal sebagai berikut. Bagi dunia pendidikan, hasil penelitian ini dapat memberi masukan untuk merencanakan dan menciptakan suasana pendidikan dan pengajaran yang kondusif di sekolah. Bagi masyarakat, hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai penopang lancarnya komunikasi dan interaksi lintas budaya. Bagi peneliti berikutnya, dalam rangka replikasi, jangkauan penelitian ini dapat diperluas.

This thesis has been examined and corrected by Supervisor I: Prof. Dr. Putu Kerti Nitiasih, M.A. and Supervisor II: Dra. Luh Putu Artini, M.A. Ph.D. This study was a phenomenology research involving descriptive-qualitative design. This study aimed at identifying profile of bilingual education at Dyatmika Kindergarten. This study was conducted in Dyatmika Kindergarten. The present study was conducted to the school personnel and community including the headmaster, four teachers and some students? parents of Dyatmika Kindergarten. The data obtained in this study are qualitative data. The qualitative data were obtained from guided interview in the form of some related information, observation and document analysis. The data were gained through several research instruments, such as researcher as key instrument, list of guided interview questions, checklist, and observation sheet. The result of interview, observation, and document analysis data were analyzed descriptively using Interactive Model. This study found that Dyatmika Kindergarten had completely fulfilled the criteria of a good bilingual school, such as having and achieving clear school goals, having safe school climate, integrating bilingual program to school community, providing leadership and support for bilingual program, having quality personnel, having good relationship with parents and communities of the students, having quality curriculum, and instructions. Luh Putu Artini, M.A. Ph.D. Penelitian fenomenologi yang menggunakan rancangan deskriptif kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi profil pendidikan dwi-bahasa di Taman Kanak-kanak Dyatmika. Subjek penelitian ini adalah warga dan komunitas sekolah yang mencakup kepala sekolah, empat guru, dan beberapa orang tua siswa Taman Kanak-Kanak Dyatmika. Data yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini berjenis data kualitatif. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari wawancara terstruktur, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan peneliti sebagai instrument kunci dan beberapa instrumen penelitian lain seperti lembar daftar pertanyaan wawancara terstruktur, checklist, dan lembar observasi. Hasil wawancara terstruktur, observasi dan analisis dokumen dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan Model Interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Taman Kanak-kanak Dyatmika telah dengan lengkap memenuhi kriteria-kriteria sebuah sekolah dwi-bahasa yang bagus, seperti memiliki tujuan sekolah yang jelas dan tercapai, memiliki iklim sekolah yang aman, mengintegrasikan program dwi bahasa dengan komunitas sekolah, menyediakan sistem kepemimpinan dan dukungan  untuk program dwi bahasa, memiliki personil berkualitas, memiliki hubungan yang baik dengan orang tua dan komunitas sekolah, memiliki kurikulum berkualitas dan instructions berkualitas. Berdasarkan temuan, Taman Kanak-kanak Dyatmika bisa diajukan sebagai sekolah model bagi taman kanak-kanak dwi-bahasa lainnya.   Kata kunci: profil, pendidikan dwi-bahasa, taman kanak-kanak dwi-bahasa

Abstract

ABSTRACT   Key words: children?s literature, teaching English to young learners   This study aimed at investigating: (1) how children?s literature was prepared incorporated into the lesson plan; (2) how children?s literature was applied into the classroom; and (3) the quality of children?s books used as the learning media in the teaching and learning process. The subjects of this study were the young learners (children at the age of 5-6) and the teachers of Butterfly Morning class of Children?s House Kindergarten School. There were 15 young learners and 2 teachers involved as the research subjects. This study was a descriptive study using a mixed method of data collection and analysis. There were two types of data collected, namely: quantitative and qualitative data that embedded one within the other so that one type of the data provided a supportive role for the other datasets. The data were collected using some types of instruments, such as lesson plan checklist, observation sheet, children?s book checklist and interview guidance. The method of data analysis followed the concept of Miles and Huberman Model (2010) (data reduction, data display and conclusion) in which the analysis of the data used the formula of Nurkancana and Sunartana (1992). The results of the study were as follows: (1) the incorporation of children?s literature into the lesson plan was excellent as the lesson plan made by the teachers obtained the score of 44. The lesson plan was excellent because the format had worked in accordance with the guideline of government format in the Permen Diknas No.58/2009 and the content had followed the APKCG of Undiksha supported by the concept of literature-based instruction. (2) The implementation of children?s literature in the classroom was excellent as the score was 46 for Language subject, 45.3 for Language Enrichment subject and the last for Moral subject was 49. The implementation followed the lesson plan prepared and the strategy of story reading in the classroom was also excellently applied.   (3) The quality of the children?s books used in the classroom was excellent as it obtained the score of 15 for Language subject, 19 for Language Enrichment subject and 20 for Moral subject. The books had appropriate genres and text types, used simple and realistic dialogue and attractive illustration. Based on those findings, the study concluded that the use of children?s literature at Children?s House school, especially in Butterfly Class was excellently implemented. It could be seen from the lesson plan prepared for each lesson, the strategy chosen to be applied in the classroom and the children?s books used as the media of learning to help the children achieve the lesson objectives. ABSTRAK Kata Kunci: sastra anak-anak, pengajaran bahasa Inggris untuk anak-anak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) cara pengunaan sastra anak-anak dalam Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP); (2) cara pengaplikasian sastra anak-anak dalam pengajaran; dan (3) kualitas buku-buku sastra anak-anak yang digunakan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa berumur 5-6 tahun yang masuk dalam kelas ?Butterfly Morning? di sekolah Children?s House beserta guru. Terdapat 15 orang anak dan dua orang guru dalam kelas ?Butterfly Morning? yang dilibatkan sebagai subjek penelitian. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang menggunakan penggabungan metode kwantitatif dan kwalitatif (mixed method). Ada dua jenis data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu data kwantitatif dan data kwalitatif. Kedua data ini kemudian digabungkan sehingga masing-masing data dapat mendukung satu dan yang lainnya. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan daftar cek untuk RPP dan buku-buku sastra anak-anak serta lembar observasi kelas dan wawancara. Metode analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman (2010) (reduksi data, penampilan data dan kesimpulan) dan analisis data yang digunakan mengikuti formula dari Nurkancana dan Sunartana (1992). Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa: (1) penggunaan sastra anak-anak dalam RPP sangat baik karena terlihat dari perolehan nilai pada kualitas RPP tersebut sebesar 44. Hal ini disebabkan oleh format RPP sudah mengikuti aturan yang belaku dalam Permen Diknas 58/2009 dan isi RPP yang sudah mengikuti APKCG Undiksha dan konsep pembelajaran berbasis sastra. (2) Pengaplikasian sastra anak-anak dalam pengajaran di kelas sangat baik sebab nilai dari kualitas pembelajaran tersebut adalah 46 untuk mata pelajaran ?Language?, 45.3 untuk mata pelajaran ?Language Enrichment? dan mata pelajaran ?Moral? memperoleh nilai sebesar 49. Dalam prosesnya, pengaplikasian sastra anak-anak sudah mengikuti RPP yang telah disusun dan strategi pengajaran yang berupa pembacaan buku cerita diterapkan dengan sangat baik. (3) Kualitas buku anak-anak yang digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran sangatlah baik sebab telah memperoleh nilai 15 untuk mata pelajaran ?Language?, 19 untuk mata pelajaran ?Language Enrichment? and 20 untuk mata pelajaran ?Moral?. Kualitas buku yang digunakan, terutama pada jenis teks sudah sesuai dengan karakteristik anak-anak, dialog yang sederhana dan realistis serta dengan ilustrasi yang menarik. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan sastra anak-anak di Children?s House telah berhasil dengan baik. Hal ini terlihat dari RPP, strategi pembelajaran yang dipilih and juga kualitas buku cerita anak-anak yang baik.
