The tourism industry is an industry that can absorb many creative economic markets. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the creative economic activities as added value that support the tourism industry. The creative economy analyzed here is the creative fashion economy, which is one of the supporters in providing direct income and advertising as a downstream chain of tourism to convey messages to consumers. Method used qualitative and quantitative by looking for regression between income and costs and based on questionnaires conducted on consumers. The results showed a relationship between costs of advertising incurred with income derived from visitor. In a qualitative analysis in the fashion subsector, fashion can contribute a value of 10-12% to revenue. To accelerate in this industry is by knowing the various sub-sectors that are part of the tourism industry value chain and increasing creativity and innovation of creative economic products (fashion and advertising).

Abstract

Community-based tourism is one type of tourism that involves community participation to achieve the goal of sustainable tourism development. The purpose of this study is to determine the tourism potential to be managed by the community based on people's perceptions of the existing tourism potential, as well as identifying people's perceptions of national, regional, and also traditional policies in tourism. This research was divided into several data collection, internal-external factor analysis, data analysis and development strategy analysis using the SWOT matrix. The conclusions of this study are (1) Natural resources in Labuan Bajo which can be used as tourist attractions that have not been managed and developed properly. Those are Ara Mountain, Ina Mountain, Namong Island, Kelaki Island, Kima Island, Komodo, wild horses and buffalo, savannah, Rangka Cave, Gosong, Pasir Timbul, Mangrove and several underwater object such as Manta and coral reefs. (2) Based on a quantitative strategy, the development strategy that is suitable to be carried out in Labuan Bajo is the S-O Strategy which is carried out by utilizing the strength needed to achieve the opportunities that exist. (3) Based on a qualitative strategy, a suitable strategy to be carried out in Labuan Bajo is related to the improvement of public facilities, partnerships with universities, improvement of the people's economy, and the improvement of regional and group economies. Abstract

Information and communication technology have changed globally specifically in the industrial era 4.0. Pangandaran Regency which focuses its economy through the tourism industry and aspires its region as a world-class tourist destination needs to accelerate its tourism development through the development of information and communication technology with the concept of smart tourism, to initiate an increase with the need to visit tourists. So this study discusses the use of potential and develops the concept of intelligent tourism in The Pangandaran Regency by utilizing information and communication technology to accelerate to become a world-class tourist destination. The method used in this research is qualitative research with case studies, with interactive model analysis techniques. The results showed that the potential of smart tourism in The Pangandaran Regency is a technology-based infrastructure that supports websites, social media, recommendation systems and also the number of millennial tourists. While the development of the concept of smart tourism is divided into the factors of demand and supply with collaboration while the manager of the destination, and the development of intelligent technology by considering Big Data and supporting factors for efficient digital marketing. Abstract

The second largest foreign exchange earner from the tourism sector. The tourism sector in Indonesia grown by 25.68% in recent years. Very much different from the growth of the tourism industry in Southeast Asia that only 7%, as well as the growth of the world tourism industry which is only 6%. Opportunities in the tourism sector are quite prospective, in addition to being one of the producers of economic growth, the tourism sector is expected to encourage the growth of other sectors, such as the plantation, agriculture, trade, industry and others. This study was analyzed using structuration theory that aims to find out how the communication made by agents in the development of Pulesari Tourism Village, Turi District, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a case study approach. Research data obtained from field observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the study explain how the structuring process that takes place through the rural tourism program can improve the village economy, and have an impact on increasing the income of its people by increasing employment opportunities. Abstract

This article contains the implementation of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Permenparekraf) Regulation No. 9 of 2014 concerning homestay tourism standards in the management of homestay in pentingsari tourism villages as supporting the existence of tourist attractions in pentingsari tourism villages. The method used in this research is descriptive, namely by collecting data using questionnaires, field observations, literature studies, documentation and interviews with several key informants as resource persons such as chairperson, manager, and owner of the tourist cottage it self. This article describes the suitability of tourist huts in pentingsari tourism village in accordance with Permenparekraf No. 9 of 2014 from three priority aspects, namely management aspects, service aspects and product aspects, which is still not in accordance with the homestay conditions at the pentingsari village. Abstract

This paper examines flashpacker as an area of research; which discusses the new phenomenon of the flashpacker originating it’s term from “backpacker”. In this review, a deeper analysis of the evolution and development is presented, charting the growth of the literature, focusing both chronology and epistemology. A framework for understanding and creating knowledge about flashpacker is presented, forming the basis which signposts established research themes and concepts and outlines some future directions for research. In addition, this article focuses on constraining and propelling forces, ontological advances, contributions from key journals, emerging themes and issues. The paper suggests that flashpacker has numerous foundational origins that have complicated its growth as a viable and valued concept. Abstract

This research is motivated by the post eruption of Mount Agung, Bali Province, which resulted in a decrease in tourist visits to Karangasem Regency, especially Tenganan Pegringsingan Village, which entered red zone. In an effort to increase tourism visits to Tenganan Pegringsingan Village after Mount Agung eruption, communication strategy is needed. This study uses a qualitative research methodology with descriptive qualitative approach. The purpose of this study is to determine communication strategy of Karangasem Regency Tourism Office in increasing tourist visits to Tenganan Pegringsingan Village after Mount Agung eruption. The discussion in this study discusses four stages, namely analysis and research by indetifying the problem, reviewing the objectives, and conducting a survey to find out the characteristics of tourists. In policy formulation stage determines the strategy to be used, conducts socialization to Tenganan Pegringsingan Village related to the main strategy being carried out, namely Tenganan Festival, and sets target. At the planning the implementation program stages the main strategy is carried out, started from funds, place, administration, coordination with related parties, the concept of the event, and the personnel involved. The last step is communication, in this stage, the dissemination information related to Tenganan Festival as the main strategy and conducts Tenganan Festival activities. The results of this study found that the strategies carried out could not increase tourist visits. Keywords: Communication strategy, Tourism Village, Communication Planning

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the image and branding of the cultural potential of a tourist destination in Buleleng Regency, so that each destination can be understood to have a different and unique identity. Buleleng Regency has natural and cultural potential that can be managed and utilized as tourist attractions. The potential can be packaged so that it becomes something that shows the identity of a destination. The large number of same turist destinations requires the accuracy in its management, so that the target market can be achieved. Brand and image become very important as a distinguishing destination between one another. In Buleleng Regency, several places have been developed by create the brand and image as tourist destinations, such as the Old Village of Buleleng Regency which consists of seven villages, Janger Kolok Bengkala Village, Bukakak Tradition, Sudaji Village, Beji Temple, Sangsit Village, Gedong Kerta and Puri in Paket Agung Village, dan Vihara in Banjar Village. In its implementation, it is recommended that brand and image formation must also be accompanied by the provision of facilities and services in accordance with the image being built. Abstract

The phenomenon of Mount Agung eruption has a negative impact on Ubud tourism. The impact of this event was greater than the 2002 Bali bombing. Generally, governments and tourism actors in Ubud have no yet a specific management to reduce the negative impact of Mount Agung eruptions. This research is qualitative descriptive method approach with case study research. Primary data in this study were obtained from interviews with informants namely; government, tourism institutions (NGOs) and tourism industry players in Ubud. Researchers also used online desk research to collect the secondary data that already exists on the internet from trusted sources in the form of public documents (images, e-news), or personal documents (e-mail, work reports and results of minute meetings). The result of this study, there were obtained four stages of crisis handling carried out by Ubud’s tourism actors namely 4R such as, reduction, readiness, response, and recovery. To minimize the negative impact of Mount Agung eruption, stakeholder needs synergetic all elements such government, non-government organizations (NGOs), industry actors, communities and other stakeholders to keep tourism sector remains conducive. Abstract

This study aims to explore the meaning from the experience of Kopi Joss consumption from domestic tourist’s perspective. Kopi Joss is a name of coffee little shop that called angkringan near Malioboro Street in Yogyakarta. In this study, Holt’s Typology is used to analyze the meaning of the consumption from cultural and social perspective and this research uses qualitative perspective with domain analysis to describe the depth of the data. The result shows Kopi Joss meaning is related to the context where the consumption took place and the result can be used to strengthen the position of Kopi Joss in the future.
