Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of auditor competence, independence of internal audit organization, relationship between internal and external auditors, management support to the effectiveness of internal audit, and the effect of internal audit effectiveness on the corruption in Inspectorate General of Ministry of Religious Affairs RI involving 152 respondents. The analysis method employed PLS (Partial Least Square) by utilizing SmartPLS 2.0 software. The result of the research shows that there is positive influence of the auditor competence, independence of internal audit organization, relationship between the internal and external auditors, and management support to the effectiveness of internal audit. This study proves that the effectiveness of internal audit tends to decrease corruption. In addition, this study also supports the Inspectorate General of Ministry of Religious Affairs as part of the governance of Kemenag organizations can help fight corruption.

Abstract

Subang Regency has an important role as the rice supplier area. As one of the rice production centers in Indonesia, rice farmers address rice fields as an asset or resource. As an asset, farmers conduct rice farming activities in the rice fields with economical orientation and rely on their food source mainly from the rice production. Conversions of paddy fields have changed the socioeconomic balancing amongst the farmers. They responded to the changes by adapting to new conditions, thus farmers’ post-conversion responses are an interesting aspect to study. This research aimed to understand the rice farmers adaptations, which was involved 15 key informants using in-dept interviews and purposive sampling method of 164 respondents. The analysis of the interview results used the concept of adaptation based on objectives, timing, and then strengthened with relevant documents for the study area. This study found, that: 1) farmers tried to make adjustments in using the compensation funds, livelihood, professions, farming, and household needs; 2) farmers’ adaptation are their way to earn the income and maintain their livelihood, and 3) some farmers firmly stated that their adaptations have made newly more prosperous conditions for them.

Abstract

In the world of shadow puppet performances, there is a central figure known as puppet master or dalang. Dr. Djoko Santoso who lives in the town of Batu East Java, is a doctor and also a dalang. His uniqueness is to synchronize two different professions by making wayang kulit as health education media. This research was conducted to find out how the process of message design done by dr. Djoko Santoso as the main informant in using wayang kulit as health education media. This research uses interpretive approach with phenomenology type of varization. This study used a key informant, dr. Djoko Santoso selected by purposive sampling. Methods of data collection is done by in-depth interview, direct observation, and documentation. The type of this research is qualitative with descriptive analysis level. The results of this study indicate that the informant performs the message design process before performing a wayang kulit show. The treatment done by the informant in designing the message was then referred to as a pre-show observation. This pre-event observation contains several stages: (1) the location identification phase, (2) the construction phase of the issue, and (3) the cultural understanding phase. Informant tend to use verbal messages that are easy to understand the audience in delivering health education. In non-verbal message design, the speaker creates a wayang with a doctor-style clothing design and a nurse to replace the appereance of traditional costume in the purpose to reinforce the medical impression.

Abstract

Implementation of strategic management at the mother and children health services in Malang Regency is done through Sutera Emas and Emas Program. Both programs is grand strategy of Malang Regency to increase the societal health level measured from the AKI and AKB indicators. For that, the research aimed at describing and analyzing the implementation of Sutera Emas and Emas Program based on strategic management perspective, and identifying the obstacles occurred and producing alternative strategy for acceleration in decrease the AKI and AKB. So the used research method is qualitative by using descriptive analysis and foresight Approaches and Methods. The results showed that the implementation of Sutera Emas and Emas Programs are societal based program that use information technology to decrease AKI and AKB in Malang Regency. But the implementation of both program unable to be implemented wholly in Malang Regency. Because of that, it need alternative strategy for AKI and AKB decrease acceleration based on need assessment. The alternative strategy then be simulated based on three regions based on the criteria of standby village strata and the affordability of health service, either from the health service worker or health facilities.

Abstract

This study examines the fundamental factors that influence the dividend payout policy, namely leverage, liquidity, free cash flow, firm size, firm growth, business risk and profitability. Several previous research results indicate differences in research findings. This study was conducted on five construction contractor companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2010 to 2016. Multiple regression analysis was operated through SPSS 20 program and hypoteses testing simultaneously with F-test and partially with t-test. The results show that all independent variable are important factors in dividend payout policy, and firm size is the most dominant factors affecting dividend payout policy.

Abstract

The fundamental farmer’s problem is accessing capital resources. Rural Agribusiness Development (called PUAP) is a form of facilitation of venture capital assistance for members of farmer groups are coordinated by Gapoktan. The aim of this research was to: (1) describe and review the implementation of the farmer’s empowerment program by rural agribusiness development; (2) identify and explore factors that influence the effectiveness the implementation of rural agribusiness development; (3) review and formulate the reconstruction of farmer’s empowerment design model by rural agribusiness development. The research is a qualitative case study type in Mulyodadi Village, Wonoayu Subdistrict, Sidoarjo Regency. Data were collected and searched by using data collection methods by observation, interviews and documentation. Data is processed using by interactive model of analysist from the field research results. Researcher adopts the framework of ACTORS by Sarah Cook dan Steve Macaulay. The conclusion of this research is needed to evaluation and improve the implementation of rural agribusiness development which has not been implemented properly and less effective. Phenomenons behind “has not been implemented properly and less effective” are the difference between the goals and outcomes of the program irrelevant. There are several things that cause the implementation of rural agribusiness development in Mulyodadi is less effective, among other: Gapoktan in Sidoarjo regency has not been appointed by the regent and non-comprehension of regulatory substance by implementing agency. Results of this research need to redesign model of the farmer’s empowerment program to interpreting the goals and outcomes of the program to be on target by adding new empowerment activities to complete the problems of PUAP program.

Abstract

Increasing competition in the banking services business make the customer's demands growing. So that competent human resources are needed to keep customers loyal. This study aims to analyze and explain the role of trust and customer satisfaction as a mediator of the influence of human resource competence on customer loyalty. The research population is BCA Kanwil VII's commercial customers in Malang. Samples of 100 customers using probability sampling method. Data collection techniques with questionnaires and interviews. Analysis method used SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) with SmartPLS program (Partial Least Square) version 2.0. The research findings show that the competence of human resources has a positive and significant impact on customer loyalty directly or with trust as the mediation variable. However, the effect of using satisfaction as a mediation variable is not significant. This is because a high customer’s variety seeking range that is found from more in-depth interviews with customers. Under these conditions, BCA must accommodate all customers' interests in order to be fulfilled with one bank. Given the role of human resource competence is very significant to customer loyalty then the competence should be periodically evaluated in order to remain able to follow the increasing demands of customers along with the influence of globalization.
