<![CDATA[Introduction. In academic libraries, transformational and situational leadership is important as it can change organizational behavior and increase the staff performance.There is limited discussion types of leadership. This research discusses two types of leadership and develops a framework in academic libraries of ideal leadership. Data Collection Method. The paper used a qualitative approach and considered literature review from books, journals, and other sources related to the theme. Data Analysis. The paper analyzed various literature, examined and selected data, developed a theoretical framework, and conceptualized the contents. Result and Discussions. Transformational leadership in the academic library is appropriate to create a vision, however, staff commitments develop slowly. The leadership can be appropriately applied to the academic library with a few human resource as itemphasizes two-way communication to motivate staff. Meanwhile, in the situational leadership, organizational vision can be achieved when staff commitments are developed effectively. The situational leadership can be implemented in the academic libraries with large number of staff by using direct and two-way interaction, as staff motivation may increase when they are trusted. Conclusion. The transformational and situational leadershipsare effective when applied to the proper circumstances to achieve set goals. Library leaders need to consider strengths and weaknesses of the leadership style.]]>

<![CDATA[Introduction. This study discusses Leiden University Library reference services through the KITLV-Jakarta. Since KITLV was acquired by the Leiden University Library, the KITLV-Jakarta Library which was a KITLV-Dutch representative, is now a representative of the Leiden University Library in Jakarta. Data Collection Method. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive research involving observations and interviews as well as primary document data sources. Data Analysis. The data was analyzed by involving the process of data reduction, interpretation, and conclusion. Results and Discussions. The results of the study indicate that reference services, particularly for reference collections found in the Leiden University Library cannot be accessed directly through the KITLV-Jakarta Library. Only KITLV librarians can request the reference service from Leiden University librarians. Conclusion. Librarians at the KITLV-Jakarta Library do not have the same access as librarians at the Leiden University Library, even though the KITLV-Jakarta Library is a representative of the Leiden University Library in Jakarta.]]>

<![CDATA[Introduction. The role of information institutions in the post-truth era is important in creating an independent and competent society in dealing with information. This conceptual article aims to see the role of information institutions in responding to community information behavior in the post-truth era. Data Collection Method. The method in this article uses a qualitative approach with the type of narrative review. Data Analysis. The analysis was carried out by synthesizing the literature and case studies from several reports discussing the impact of fake news spread in the community. Results and Discussions. Information institutions need to take an active role in improving the conditions of society through knowledge-based development and information sharing processes, to create a community that is capable in using information and in evaluating the credibility and suitability of information sources. Conclusion. In the post-truth era, psychological aspects become an important aspect, where one's information behavior becomes more dominantly influenced by emotional dimensions and personal beliefs. This increasingly shows the importance of skills in evaluating information sources and critical thinking more clearly than in previous eras.]]>

<![CDATA[Introduction. The purpose of this study is to examine a zotero training conducted by Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) Library, information literacy skills, and the role of the zotero training on the literacy skills in students’ academic writing. Data Collection Method. The data collection method used was a descriptive qualitative with observation and interviews. The participants were students study of Master of Government Affairs and Administration program at UMY. Data Analysis. Data analysis was performed by validating the collected data which were then categorized based on the theory. Results and Discussions. The results showed that students received the zotero training well. The material provided in the training including the explanation of the Zotero concept, installation of the Zotero application, and utilization of the Zotero application were well understood. Conclusion. The ability of information literacy of students of Master of Government Affairs and Administration, which was initially limited, increases by the Zotero training involvement. These capabilities include how to identify information needs, access information, evaluate information, and use information effectively.]]>

<![CDATA[Introduction. There has been limited discussion on Open Monograph Press (OMP) although its potential is recognized to support academic publications in Indonesia. This is due to the lack of access to information and dissemination of OMP by academic publishers that have implemented OMP in their publication process. Data Collection Method. This paper used a qualitative approach by starting the elaboration publication process in Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (LIPI) Press. This paper examined how OMP-based online publishing system is able to accommodate book publishing process in LIPI Press. Primary data in this study was collected through records of the user interface of the online page of LIPI Press which uses OMP. Data Analysis. The data was analyzed by using a descriptive-analytic approach. Results and Discussions. OMP is useful not only to accommodate all roles and processes of scientific publication but also to accommodate the publisher's need for a catalog website. OMP metadata can be indexed by Google Scholar and can be a helpful tool for product distribution. Conclusion. OMP is suggested to become a standard in publication process.]]>

<![CDATA[Introduction. The research aims to examine knowledge transfer by a local community Rurukan Adat "Nabawadatala" in preserving local knowledge ion Citengah village – Sumedang, West Java. Data Collection Method. This research used qualitative approach with a case study method. Data Analysis. Qualitative data analysis was conducted iteratively and continuously until reach the data saturation. The three steps of data analysis were conducted, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. Results and Discussion. Pattern transfer occurred in the study includes three processes, namely the preparation of sustainable work plan; the concept of learning and knowledge sharing; and the creation of knowledge to form a tourist area-based education. Conclusion. A cultural centre established by the Citengah village community leaders to support knowledge transfer is very useful, not only for people inside of the community, but also for people around the community.]]>

<![CDATA[Introduction. Duplication in inventions produced by research institutions in Indonesia becomes an issue. It is important to map the specialization of the invention in research institutions. This study examines the mapping of the innovation in research institutions in Indonesia. Data Collection Method. This study uses a patent-based technology document analysis method to map the potential of technology. The data used is patent data registered in the Direktorat Jenderal Kekayaan Intelektual (DJKI) database. Data Analysis. Metadata analysis was conducted by using the K-Means Klastering method with R software. Results and Discussions. The findings in the pre-analysis show that when the independent variable involved in the model are very large, the Localized feature selection method can effectively select variables without losing much information. There are 5 dominant technology groups that can be produced by research institutions in Indonesia, namely 1) Technology related to the development of measurement and testing instrument technology; 2) Technologies related to food and food ingredients; and 3) microstructural test equipment / detectors; 4) radar technology; 5) Technology in agriculture. Conclusion. The findings show that there are still overlapping inventions by several research institutions in the same technology cluster. K-means clustering with LFSBSS pre analysis has a clear performance in the technology cluster space.]]>

<![CDATA[Introduction. This paper focuses on competence, motivation, performance and work experience of librarians in Badung Regency Library. The paper aims to examine the role of moderation work in the library. Methodology. A quantitative descriptive was applied using total sampling as the sampling technique. There were 39 librarians in this study from schools, universities and district areas. Questionnaires, observations and interviews were used as data collection methods. Data Analysis. Data analysis technique used was Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). Results and Discussion. The results showed that working experience did not moderate positively and there was no significant relationship between competence and work motivation on librarian performance. Aspects related to competency, motivation and performance of the librarians need to be increased, particularly, English skills and academic in the field of librarianship. Conclusion. Work experience does not affect competency and work motivation on the performance of the librarians so that the library management needs to re-evaluate the competency of the librarian.]]>

<![CDATA[Introduction. Not all scientific work can be easily utilized directly by the public (society). Pusat Data dan Dokumentasi Informasi Ilmiah (PDDI) has not optimally disseminated knowledge products. The knowledge products should be assembled, visualized and informed - through digital media. This paper aims to examine whether WebGIS can be used as a medium for disseminating information. Data Collection Method. The method used was descriptive qualitative. Data collection was conducted by means of a survey. Data Analysis. This research use descriptive analysis. The results of the survey analysis were reviewed with the results of literature studies so that conclusions could be drawn to answer the research questions. Results and Discussions. The survey shows that the Banyuwangi community expect that an interactive industrial tree to be attached in the WebGIS (BAGEOS) of the Banyuwangi Regency Government. The survey shows that installing industrial trees on BAGEOS is not only beneficial for BAGEOS, but also for the community. Conclusions. Combination between industrial trees with WebGIS or digital maps is a good combination. All respondents agreed to pair industrial trees on digital maps. GIS is capable as a medium for disseminating information packaging.]]>

<![CDATA[Introduction. The study of the validation of scientific name validation at the species and family level is not widely known. This study aimed to provide information about the process of scientific name validation at the species and family level. Data Collection Method. Data were collected from online portal databases regarding the scientific name of plant species and family. Data was analyzed in a descriptive-narrative manner. Results and Discussions. Validation of the scientific name of species and family of plants can be conducted by searching the latest publications and using the online database portals i.e. IPNI, POWO, Tropicos, The Plant List, and GBIF. IPNI and The Plant List provide more information about species names compared to others. POWO and GBIF provide the status of the plant names and complemented with photographs of the plants, specimens, and distribution maps. Tropicos provides names of families according to the latest APG IV classification. Conclusions. Validation through the online portal database is the fastest way, however, validation through the publication of the latest plant taxonomy revision publications is the most recommended. Validation can be initiated by using the online database portals and then confirmed by tracking the latest revised plant taxonomy publications.]]>
