Abstract

Background – The graduated nurses have increased for several years, in Central Java in 2011 there were 50 000 graduated diploma, but not all graduates can be absorbed in the health services, only 4-10 per cent per year (Kompas, December 3, 2011). The low uptake of graduates also occurred in Blora Nursing Study Programme, Tha data of the year 2008 - 2011, graduates got the job before the sixth month in a row - were 2008 (15%), 2009 (16%), 2010 (1.6%) and 2011 (6.5%). More details of the percentage above 50% internship at the Public Hospital and Primary Health Center, 10% as Government Civilization, 1% working at private health centers and 0.5% working in the International Institutions, but they have already resigned before the contract was completed and choosed to work closed by their parents (CDC Prodi Nursing Blora, 2012). From this description it can be seen that the low uptake was influenced by several factors such as ability, motivation, interests, personality and potential. These factors were also associated with the selection of workplace among graduate nurses. Purpose -The aim of this research was to determine the relationship among interests, self- potential (intelligence) and personality in choosing workplace among graduated nurses. Research Design -This research design was a descriptive survey and 78 candidates graduated nurses from Blora Nursing Study Program involved in 2012 in this study. The data was analyzed with the Multiple Linear Regression. Results - The results showed that there was a significant relationship among these variables of interest, potential (intelligence) and personality in choosing workplace, with the value F count F 0,05 was 28.400 2.730, and the coefficient of determination of 53.5%, which means 46.5% influenced by other factors. Furthermore when the influence of each variables were viewed individually, the intelligence variable indicated that there was a significant relation to the selection of workplace, it was showed by t count t table that was 5.861 1.994. Conclusion - It can be concluded that there was a significant relationship among interest, self-potential (intelligence) and personality to workplace selection among graduated nurses from Blora Nursing Study Program in 2012, and the intelligence factor has been the most significant relationship in the selection of the work area. The next studies should look at other factors that influence of motivation among graduated nurses in the selection of workplace.

Laboratory is the main supporting to reach the learning aim that appropriate competency for Nutrition Department students. Utilization of experimental animals as objects experiment in the laboratory to test in vivo ( laboratory with experimental animals ) not available yet, this laboratory is important to development of science related with diet, chemical compounds that has a positive role to health. Laboratory of experimental animals is not available yet, therefore necessary to design the laboratory of experimental animals. Purposes of Research : to design laboratory management of experimental animals, management of experimental animals cages and management of experimental animals waste. Design of research includes descriptive qualitative with comparation study in laboratory of experimental animals at Universitas Gajah Mada ( UGM ) and Universitas Negeri Semarang ( UNNES ). Data collection with literature study, interview, visit to laboratory of experimental animals. Results of research : hamster, white mouse and rabbit are used as experiment because of the fisiologis excuses, these animals are able to be simulation model because have some similiars with the condition of human body. Animal source must be from a certified institute that provides experimental animals who is able to guarantee animals health. Original genetic and homogenous. Cage in accordance with necessaries. There are three types : cage enlargement, cage for feeding and mating. Cage must be kept clean. Diet should be made periodically as needed. Management staff who has biology educational background one or two person and two other staff. Laboratory design of experimental animals at Nutrition Department has just been developed as simple applied laboratory, without reproduction management and enlargement of experimental animals. Laboratory management of experimental animals refers to the current system. Design of cage has a size 4m x 4m which is equipped sanitation facilities / sink and prep table. Conclusion : Hamster and white mice are used for experimental animals. The cage treatment and cage maintenance are cage design that is required. One management staff with the biology educational backgroud is required and empowering an existing. Room design 4m x 4m which is equipped a sink and prep table for equipment.

Abstract

The technique of MRI Genu examination technique in case of Ligament Cruciatum Anterior (ACL) Ruptur by open MRI was conducted in 3 (three) steps, i.e. full extension SE T1 Coronal Genu, 30 degree SE T1 sagital Genu Flexi, and 90 degree SE T1 sagital genu flexi. The research aimed to find out the examination technique of MRI Genu in Ligament Cruciatum Anterior (ACL) rupture by open MRI in Jogja International Hospital, in which comprised of preparation, examination technique, informative level of sequence parameter selection and reason of using sequences and optimization of MRI Genu examination in case of Ligament Cruciatum Anterior (ACL) rupture by open MRI. T he research was conducted by observation method to the implementation of examination and in depth interview with five respondents wherein the data was used as primary data; meanwhile documentation and literature were used as secondary data. The data analysis was conducted by using descriptive analysis. The result of research showed that examination technique of MRI Genu in the case of Ligament Cruciatum Anterior (ACL) rupture by open MRI was conducted in three steps, i.e. full extension SE T1 coronal genu, 30 degree SE T1 sagital genu flexi, and 90 degree SE T1 sagital genu flexi. Each of them was conducted scannogram initially by reason patient’s position had been altered. From these three sequences, according to the clinicians, SE T1 sagital sequence of 30 degree Genu flexi ACL is the clearest position to see the ACL; however according to the executors sequence of 90 degree SE T1 sagital genu flexi is the easiest to reconstruct on the ground the position of patient’s leg is more fix and it is seldom to happen alteration than the position of full extension SE T1 coronal genu and 30 degree SE T1 sagital genu flexi. The examination of MRI genu in Jogja International Hospital uses open MRI and multi-purpose coil/flexible coil thus it is possible to make variation of flexi genu, and merely taken SE T1 sequence. Some respondents have a notion that using eximation technique by sequence selection has been informative, however it still needs to add axial, sagital and coronal slice of which comprises of T1, T2 and PD in order the diagnostic information gained is more accurate by reason the excellent diagnostic enforcement will be the path of a physician in providing treatment by shape medication therapy and appropriate handling to the patient.

Abstract

Analytical chemistry subjects is a scientific subjects and skills. Analytical chemistry subjects in the extension class consisting of 44 students turned out 15 people do not pass the exam on the final test of semester 1. After traced, apparently ± 88% comes from Senior High School (SMU) Social Studies Department (IPS). It is caused Senior High School students social studies department does not have a sufficient basis on chemical subjects, it takes special treatment to improve student’s ability to understand the background subjects Chemistry, for example, analytical chemistry, food chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Technology and Food Quality Supervision and other. Research purposes : fixes the value of analytical chemistry subjects by increasing student motivation to learn, by giving the task at the end of each lecture to students with the aim of students want to repeat subject at home, calculate the average value of pre test, calculate the average value of post test and calculate the absorption of regular classes A and B. This research is classroom action research which will be implemented to the first semester students regular classes Prodi DIII Nutrition Poltekkes Depkes Semarang began the first semester 2009/2010 until the end of semester exams (8 meetings). Outline analytical chemistry courses are chemicals (solid, liquid and gas) risk and countermeasures of chemicals, qualitative and quantitative equipments, standardization, asidialkalimetri, permanganometri, yodometri and yodimetri, argentometry and the application. to support the analytical chemistry subjects required understanding, intensive guidance, motivation to learn, pre test, post test, questions and answers and assignments. The average value of pre-test and post-test (mean, median, minimum and standard deviation values) an increase in the value of pre-test to post-test is equal to 36.01%. As well as for absorption the middle test scores (UTS) to the final test scores (UAS) up to 18,75% for regular classes A and regular classes B up to 18,89%.
