Abstract

This research was conducted to answer the problem of "how to develop the career of state vocational school teachers in Makassar City". Thus, this study aims to determine the career development of teachers in the State Vocational School in Makassar City. This research is a descriptive study that provides an overview of Career Development of Vocational School Teachers in Makassar City, with a total sample of 73 people. Data collection techniques used are, observation and questionnaire. Data analysis used is; descriptive statistical analysis. The results of the study showed that the career development of the teachers of State Vocational Schools in Makassar City was still in the less category. While supporting factors, namely; 1) teacher's pedagogic competence, 2) the implementation of duties and responsibilities by the teacher professionally, 3) the teacher focuses on carrying out duties in carrying out the duties and responsibilities, 4) the existence of Subject Teachers' Consultation (MGMP), and 5) availability of adequate facilities and infrastructure . While the inhibiting factors of teacher career development are; 1) MGMP is not routinely carried out 2) MGMP funds are not prepared by the government, 3) unclear workload between functional tasks and administrative duties, 4) absence of regulations, especially legal issues that can protect teachers, 5) promotion does not automatically, 6) school management that is not good, 7) the absence of reward commensurate with teacher performance, and 8) inadequate facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

Bureaucracy is a tool that plays an essential role in the implementation of development in the region.  One of the reform agenda is to create a clean government, and free from the practices of corruption, collusion, and nepotism. Performance-based management is the measurement of bureaucratic performance oriented to outcome measurement. The type of research used is literature. The primary data type is data in the form of scientific work related to employee performance, web pages that discuss performance, while corresponding main data are books or other literature that supports and has to do with research. From the results of the study is one of the significant challenges of the public bureaucracy is how to be able to carry out activities effectively and efficiently. By going to a planned change, it will enable a continuous process of change; thus the performance of the government bureaucracy in public service will be more effective and efficient following the expectations and aspirations of the community. The application of good governance with information technology-based can use as a strategy and guidance in providing services to the public.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of the village government in improving the welfare of the people of Bulili Village in Duhiadaa District, Pohuwato Regency. The research approach uses descriptive research which provides an overview of how the government plays a role in improving the welfare of the community in the village of Bulili, Duhiadaa District, Pohuwato Regency. Informants were the village head, village head, BPD chairman, LPM Chair, village treasurer and Bulili village community leaders. The results showed that the Bulili Village Government in improving community welfare carried out three programs such as: 1) agricultural production improvement program. For the economic sector the Bulili village government planned assistance that would improve the economy of Bulili villagers such as providing rice seeds, corn seeds, tractor assistance, Hansplayer (tengki) assistance, fertilizer assistance, and PNPM assistance, 2) program to increase livestock production, namely the collaboration of district government, sub-district government and Bulili village government in the form of providing assistance for productive superior cows and productive goat seeds to village community livestock farmers bulili which was formed by the village village government. 3) development of village livestock agribusiness, which is to form a group of livestock farmers who are given the assistance of productive cow and goat seeds to each group to be managed as part of a government program in order to improve the welfare of the village community. In addition, the formation of livestock farmer groups is one of the right solutions in increasing livestock business in the village, various livestock businesses such as the procurement of productive seeds, prevention of livestock diseases and access to marketing can be done in groups and work together which in turn increases profits and business income in order to improve the welfare of the people in Bulili village.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of  Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) learning model, enhancing critical thinking and students’ learning outcome on archiving. This research is a classroom action research utilizing  qualitative approach consisting of two cycles on students of Office Administration. The subject were students at  one of the vocational school in East Java, using data analysis in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusion or verification. The results showed that POE learning model is able to improve students' ability to think on Archiving. The students’ cognitive learning, affective, and psychomotor  also increased as the implementation of learning model. Hence, the POE learning model is effectively used in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors of Transformational Leadership in the Age of Globalization. The research location was conducted at Bosowa University. The technique of collecting data uses observation, interviews, FGD. Data analysis techniques use the theories of Miles, Huberman and Saldana (2014). The results of the study show that the determinant factors in this study can be seen from two factors: university supporting factors and inhibiting factors. Supporting factors: it has been illustrated that the Chancellor as a leader has a network that has been developed both at the local, regional, national and international levels. Furthermore, it is supported by adequate learning process facilities. So as to be able to compete with other universities in Indonesia. The inhibiting factors are the availability of limited teaching staff.

Abstract

The main problem of entrepreneurship education in Indonesia is the mindset of most Indonesian people that the goal of continuing education to higher education to become a civil servant is not to be someone who has an entrepreneurial mentality. Entrepreneurship learning has not been able to change the mind-set of college graduates from finding jobs (job seekers) to creating jobs (job creators). Therefore, the formulation of the problem in this study is, "Is there an influence of entrepreneurial learning on student decision making in entrepreneurship at Makassar State University. This study aims to find out, "The effect of entrepreneurial learning on student decision making in entrepreneurship at Makassar State University. This research is an Explanatory Research with a Survey approach with a population of 654 Makassar State University students who propose a Student Creativity Program (PKM) with a sample of 242 which is done by proportional random sampling technique. Therefore, the formulation of the problem in this study is, "Is there an influence of entrepreneurial learning on student decision making in entrepreneurship at Makassar State University. This study aims to find out, "The effect of entrepreneurial learning on student decision making in entrepreneurship at Makassar State University. This research is an Explanatory Research with a Survey approach with a population of 654 Makassar State University students who propose a Student Creativity Program (PKM) with a sample of 242 which is done by proportional random sampling technique. The technique of collecting data uses observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis using SEM. The results of the study show; "There is a significant effect of entrepreneurial learning on student decision making in entrepreneurship at Makassar State University.

Abstract

Adequate work facilities with suitable conditions that are well maintained and will help smooth the work process in an organization. This study aims to determine the use of work facilities, on the performance of employees in the section of the Regional Financial Management Agency Secretariat of South Sulawesi Province. Therefore, to achieve these objectives researchers used data collection techniques with observation, questionnaires, and documentation with a population of 35 people. While the data analysis techniques used are descriptive statistical analysis using percentages and for inferential statistical analysis techniques using data normality tests, product moment correlation analysis, and simple linear regression analysis. The results of the study indicate that the work facilities in the section of the South Sulawesi Provincial Financial Management Agency Secretariat are in a good category, in terms of indicators: machinery and equipment, infrastructure, work equipment, land, and buildings. For the quality of employee performance in the section of the South Sulawesi Provincial Financial Management Agency Secretariat in a good category, which is viewed from: quality, quantity, timeliness, effectiveness, and independence. Based on the product moment correlation test analysis, there is a positive and significant influence on the use of work facilities on the performance of employees in the section of the Regional Financial Management Agency of South Sulawesi Province at 17.00%, stated to be accepted with a moderate level of influence. From the results of simple linear regression analysis shows that there is an influence of work facilities on employee performance in the section of the Regional Financial Management Agency Secretariat of South Sulawesi Province.
