Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan keefektifan pendekatan scientific dengan model problem based learning dan model problem solving dalam pembelajaran IPS untuk meningkatkan kompetensi: sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII di SMP N 3 Kalasan, Yogyakarta. Sampel diambil secara purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi sikap, penilaian diri, penilaian antar peserta didik, tes, unjuk kerja, dan rubrik penilaian produk. Data hasil penelitian ini dianalisis dengan teknik anava mixed design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) Pendekatan scientific dengan model problem based learning lebih efektif daripada model problem solving dalam meningkatkan kompetensi sikap dalam pembelajaran IPS, 2) pendekatan scientific dengan model problem based learning lebih efektif daripada model problem solving dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pengetahuan dalam pembelajaran IPS, 3) pendekatan scientific dengan model problem based learning lebih efektif daripada model problem solving dalam meningkatkan kompetensi keterampilan. THE EFFECTIVENESS OF SCIENTIFIC APPROACH WITH PBL AND PROBLEM SOLVING TO IMPROVE COMPETENCES IN SOCIAL STUDIESAbstractThis study aimed to compare the effectiveness of scientific approach with problem based learning and problem solving in teaching social studies to improve: attitude competence, knowledge competene, and skill competence.The population of the research was all of grade VIII student at SMP N 3 Kalasan, Yogyakarta. The sample of this research was using purposive sampling. The data was collected by observation, self assessment, peer assessment, test, observation of perfomance and product assessment. The data were analyzed using anava mixed design.This research have three results. First, scientific approach with problem based learning model was more effective than scientific approach with problem solving to improve attitude competence. Second, scientific approach with problem based learning model was more effective than scientific approach with problem solving to improve knowledge competence. Third, scientific approach with problem based learning model was more effective than scientific approach with problem solving to improve skill competence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: meningkatkan pemahaman nilai demokrasi melalui metode inquiri pada pembelajaran PKn di kelas XA SMA Negeri 1 Gamping Sleman.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK. Subjek penelitian adalah 34 siswa SMA Negeri 1 Gamping Sleman. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri observasi, test skala sikap, dan analisis dokumen. Intrumen penelitian terdiri atas tes sikap, tes hasil belajar, lembar observasi perilaku siswa, catatan lapangan, dan pedoman wawancara. Teknik analisis data kualitatif yang digunakan adalah model Miles Huberman, sedangkan data yang bersifat kuantitatif dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penerapan metode inquiri dapat meningkatkan nilai demokrasi siswa. Pada siklus 1 rerata 67,64, siklus 2 rerata 72,64 dan siklus 3 rerata 78,38. Dengan demikian melalui penerapan metode inquiri dapat meningkatkan pemahaman nilai- nilai demokrasi siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Gamping Sleman. UNDERSTANDING OF DEMOCRATIC VALUES IN STUDENTS THROUGH THE INQUIRY METHOD OF TEAHING CIVIC EDUCATION IN SMA 1 GAMPINGSLEMANAsbtractThis study aim: to improve students’ democratic through value the application of the inquiry method in civic education learning in the Grade XA of SMA NegeriGampingSleman,This was a classroom action research (CAR), The sesearch subjects 34 grade X SMA Negeri 1 Gamping. The data collecting techniques consisted of observations, an attitude scale test and a document analysis. The research instruments consisted of an attitude test, a learning achievement test, student behavior observation sheets, field notes, and interview guides. The technique to analyze the qualitative data was the Miles Huberman model, while the quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The result shows that the application of the inquiry method can improve students’ democratic value. In the first cycle the mean was 67.64, in the second cycle it was 72.64, and the third cycle it was 78.38. Therefore, the inquiry method can improve students’ democratic value in SMA Negeri 1 Gamping, Sleman.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) meningkatkan hasil dan (2) Aktivitas belajar IPS siswa kelas VIII C SMP Negeri 2 Kawunganten Cilacap. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri atas empat pertemuan dalam dua siklus, menggunakan desain Kemmis Taggart. Subjek penelitian adalah 35 siswa kelas VIII C SMP Negeri 2 Kawunganten Cilacap. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, tes hasil belajar, angket, dokumentasi, dan catatan lapangan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Melalui model pembelajaran Problem-based learning berbantuan media dalam pembelajaran IPS dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar. (2) Ada peningkatan ketuntasan hasil belajar ranah kognitif. Pada siklus I ketuntasan belajar siswa 60,00%, dan siklus II menjadi 85,71%. (3) Ada peningkatan nilai sikap siswa (hasil belajar ranah afektif). Rata-rata nilai sikap siswa 62,20 pada siklus I menjadi 67,97 pada siklus II atau meningkat 5,77 poin. (4) Ada peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa; siklus I rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa 3,01 menjadi 3,37 pada siklus II, atau meningkat 0,36 poin. IMPROVING LEARNING OUTCOME AND ACTIVITIES IN SOCIAL STUDIES OF THE MEDIA-AIDED PROBLEM- BASED LEARNING INSTRUCTIONAL MODEL SMPN 2 KAWUNGANTENAbstractThis study aims to: (1) improve the learning outcome and (2) activities of class VIII C, SMP Negeri 2 Kawunganten Cilacap. This study is classroom action research (CAR) consisting of two cycles, each of which consisted of two meetings, using Kemmis Taggart design. The subject is 35 students of class VIII C, SMP Negeri 2 Kawunganten Cilacap. The data collection techniques used were observation, achievement test, questionnaire, documentation, and field note. The  data analysis used the quantitative descriptive analysis. The results are as follows (1) The through of media-aided Problem-Based Learning instructional model in social studies teaching can enchance learning outcomes. (2) There is an increasing mastery of cognitive learning outcome. In the first cycle, it became 60,00%, and in the second cycle, it became 85.71%. (3) There is an increase in students’ attitude (affective domain of learning outcome). The average of students’ attitude score was 62.20 in cycle I and it became 67.97 in cycle II, or an increase of 5.57 point. (4) There is an increase in students’ learning activities; in the first cycle, the average score of students’ activities was 3.01 and it became 3.37 in cycle II, or an increase of 0.36 point.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan (1) hasil belajar, dan (2) sikap terhadap pembelajaran IPS. Subjek penelitian adalah 30 peserta didik kelas VIIIF SMPN 1 Tempuran, Magelang tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, kuesioner, tes, dokumentasi dan catatan lapangan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif komparatif. Hasil penelitian: (1) Rata-rata hasil belajar kognitif siklus I 78,67 meningkat menjadi 80,17 pada siklus II, dan 80,34 pada siklus III. Ketuntasan klasikal hasil belajar kognitif siklus I 70,00% meningkat menjadi 86,21% pada siklus II, dan 86,67% pada siklus III. Rata-rata hasil belajar psikomotorik siklus I 88,33 meningkat menjadi 88,62 pada siklus II, dan 89,33 pada siklus III. Ketuntasan klasikal hasil belajar psikomotorik siklus I 80,00% meningkat menjadi 86,21% pada siklus II, dan 86,67% pada siklus III. (2) Rata-rata sikap terhadap pembelajaran IPS siklus I 72,99 meningkat menjadi 73,85 pada siklus II, dan 73,96 pada siklus III. Ketuntasan klasikal siklus I 90,00% meningkat menjadi 93,10% pada siklus II, dan 93,33% pada siklus III. AsbtractThis study aims to improve (1) the learning achievement, and (2) the attitude to the Social Studies. The  subject was 30 students of class VIII F, State Junior High School 1 Tempuran, Magelang in 2013/2014. The data collection techniques used were observation, questionnaire, test, documentation, and field note. The data analysis technique used was descriptive comparative. The result is as follows. (1) The overall mean of cognitive learning achievement increased from 78.67 in the first cycle to 80.17 in the second cycle, and 80.34 in the third cycle. The classical passing grade of cognitive learning achievement increased from 70.00% in the first cycle to 86.21% in the second cycle, and 86.67% in the third cycle. The overall mean of psycomotor learning achievement increased from 88.33 in the first cycle to 88.62 in the second cycle, and 89.33 in the third cycle. The classical passing grade of psycomotor learning achievement increased from 80.00% in the first cycle to 86.21% in the second cycle, and 86.67 % in the third cycle. (2) The overall mean of the attitude to the Social Studies increased from 72.99 in the first cycle to 73.85, and 73.96 in the third cycle. The classical passing grade increased from  90.00% in the first cycle to 93.10% in the second cycle, and 93.33% in the third cycle.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan korelasi kecerdasan emosional, pengetahuan kewirausahaan, dan hasrat marginal menabung dengan motivasi berwirausaha mahasiswa Pendidikan Ekonomi FKIP Universitas Negeri Jambi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional. Dengan populasi mahasiswa Pendidikan Ekonomi FKIP Universitas Negeri Jambi dan sampel penelitian ini adalah mahsiswa angkatan 2012 sebanyak 79 orang yang dipilih dengan teknik nonprobability purpose  sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu angket untuk kecerdasan emosional, hasrat  marginal menabung dan motivasi berwirausaha dan tes untuk pengetahuan kewirausahaan. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah correlasi product moment dengan taraf signiikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional dan motivasi berwirausaha dengan determinasi korelasi 0,456, pada taraf signifikan 0,05 (2) Terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara pengetahuan kewirausahaan dan motivasi berwirausaha dengan determinasi korelasi 0.459, pada taraf signifikan 0,05. (3) Terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara hasrat marginal menabung dan motivasi berwirausaha dengan determinasi korelasi 0,517, pada taraf signifikan 0,05 (4) Terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan secara bersamaan antara kecerdasan emosional, pengetahuan kewirausahaan, dan hasrat marginal menabung dengan motivasi berwirausaha dengan determinasi korelasi 0,625, pada taraf signifikan 0,05 KORRELATION EQ, ENTREPRENEUR KNOWLEDGE, AND MARGINAL PROPENSITY TO SAVE WITH ENTREPRENEUR MOTIVATION OF STUDENT ECONOMIC EDUCATIONAbstractThis research aims to describe the relationship between emotional inteligency, entrepreneur knowledge,  marginal propensity to save, and entrepreneurship motivation of students majoring in Economic Education Science, in Teacher Education Faculty, Jambi University. This is correlation research. The population of this research was students majoring Economic Education Science of Teacher Education Faculty, Jambi University and the sampel was 79 students from 2012 intake using nonprobability purpose sampling tehnique. The data were collected using questionnaire of emotional inteligency, marginal propensity to save, entrepreneur motivation and tes of entrepreneur knowledge. The data were analyzed using correlation product moment with level of significant 0.05. The research finding reveals that: (1) There is a positive and significant relationship between emotional inteligency and students entrepreneurship motivation with a correlation coefficient 0.456, in level of significant 0.05; (2) There is significant relationship between entrepreneurship knowledge  and student entrepreneurship motivation with a correlation coeffivient 0.459, in level of significant 0.05; (3) There is significant relationship between marginal propensity to save and entrepreneurship motivation with a correlation coefficient 0.517, in level of significant 0.05;(4) There is significant relationship between emotional inteligency, entrepreneurship knowledge, and marginal propensity to save with students entrepreneurship motivation with a correlation coefficient 0.625 in level of significant 0.0.5.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dengan penerapan model pembelajaran two stay two stray berbantuan multimedia, dan (2) meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas IX-A SMP Negeri 1 Sidamanik Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan desain Kemmis Taggart, yang terlaksana dalam dua siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, tes hasil belajar, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian adalah: (1) penerapan model pembelajaran two stay two stray berbantuan multimedia dalam pembelajaran IPS dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa: pada kondisi awal siswa yang aktif hanya 55,56 %, pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 59,10%, dan pada siklus II menjadi 85,50%. (2) pembelajaran IPS dengan penerapan model kooperatif two stay two stray berbantuan multimedia dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa: dari kondisi awal rata-rata hasil belajar siswa 68,61, meningkat pada siklus I menjadi 71,94 dan pada siklus II menjadi 82,10. Dengan demikian ketuntasan klasikal meningkat dari kondisi awal 58,33%, pada siklus I menjadi 77,78%, dan pada siklus II menjadi 100%. THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MULTIMEDIA-AIDED TWO STAY TWO STRAY MODEL TO IMPROVE LEARNING ACTIVITIES AND LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT IN SOCIAL STUDIESAbstractThis study aims to: (1) improve learning activities by means the implementation of the two stay-two stray instructional model, and (2) improve the learning achievement Social Studies of class IX-A, SMP Negeri 1 Sidamanik Sumatera Utara. This study is classroom action research (CAR) consisting of two cycles, using Kemmis Taggart design. The data collection techniques used were observation, achievement test, and documentation. The data analysis used the quantitative descriptive. The results are as follows. (1) The implementation of media-aided two stay two stray instructional model in social studies teaching can enchance learning activities and learning achievement. There is an increase in students’ learning activities: in the precycle, only 55.56%, in cycle I, the average score of students’ activities was 59.10 % and it became 85.50% in cycle II. (2) There is an increase in students’ the average of learning achievement: in the precycle, only 68.61, in cycle I, the average score of of learning achievement was 71.94 and it became 82.10 in cycle II. There is an increasing mastery of classical learning. In the precycle, only 58.33% of  students achieved learning mastery, in cycle I, it became 77.78%, and in cycle II, it became 100%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif dan kecenderungan berperilaku sesuai nilai target pembelajaran (peduli, kerja keras, disiplin, jujur, dan terbuka); (2) mengetahui kendalakendala dalam mengimplementasikan teknik pembelajaran kolaboratif dengan variasi media dan upaya mengatasinya. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII D SMP Negeri 2 Kalijambe Sragen tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Data yang diperoleh dari observasi, angket, tes, catatan lapangan, dan catatan harian guru, dianalisi secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) implementasi teknik pembelajaran kolaboratif dengan variasi media dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas VIII D. Pada pratindakan nilai rata-rata kelas 45, ketuntasan klasikal 0%. Di akhir siklus I, nilai rata-rata kelas dan ketuntasan klasikal masing-masing 64 dan 23,08%. Akhir Siklus II, 71 dan 50%. Sedangkan pada akhir siklus III, 77 dan 88,46%. Demikian pula pada kecenderungan berperilaku sesuai nilai target pada siswa kelas VIII D terus mengalami peningkatan, (2) kendala yang dihadapi meliputi: kurang intensifnya pengorganisasian kelompok, dan lamanya waktu yang dibutuhkan guru untuk mempersiapkan pembelajaran. Untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut, guru membiasakan siswa berinteraksi secara positif dan bertanggung jawab dalam penyelesaian tugas kelompok, serta optimalisasi penggunaan waktu dalam mempersiapkan pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan media informasi yang ada. IMPLEMENTING A COLLABORATIVE LEARNING TECHNIQUE WITH A VARIETY OF MEDIA TO INCREASE THE LEARNING OUTCOMES IN SMPN 2 KALIJAMBEAbstractThis study aims to: (1) improve the social studies learning outcomes in the form of cognitive learning outcomes and a tendency to behave according to the value of the target learning (caring, work hard, decipline, honesty, and open attitude); and (2) reveal the constraints in implementing the collaborative learning technique with a variety of media and the efforts to overcome these constraints. The subjects were class VIII D students of SMP Negeri 2 Kalijambe, Sragen, in the academic year of 2013/2014. The data were collected through document reviews, observation, questionnaires, tests, field notes, and teacher’s daily note, were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative techniques. The results show that: (1) the implementation the collaborative learning technique with a variety of media can improve the cognitive of learning outcomes of class VIII D students. In the pre-action, the class’ average score is 45 with the classical completeness percentage being 0%. In the end of first cycle, the class’ average score and the classical completeness percentage each are 64 and 23.08%, in the end of second cycle 71 and 50%, and in the end of third cycle increased are 77 and 88.46%. So is the case with the tendency to behave in accordance with the value of the learning targets always increased. (2) the contraints in encountered include the less intensive group organization and the long time required by teachers to prepare lessons. To fix this, teachers make students accustomed to interaction positivelly and to accoutability in accordance with their respective tasks in their peer groups, as well as optimizing the use of time to make lesson plans by utilizing the existing information media.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar IPS di kelas IX C SMPN 2 Jetis Bantul setelah diterapkan metode simulasi dengan reinforcement. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (classrrom action research) menggunakan desain Kemmis Taggart. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IX C SMPN 2 Jetis Bantul tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Tindakan yang diterapkan adalah penerapan metode simulasi dengan reinforcement untuk dalam pembelajaran IPS. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah  observasi dan tes. Teknik observasi digunakan untuk mengetahui aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS dan tes digunakan untuk menunjukkan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini terlaksana dalam dua siklus. Siklus I mengunakan model simulasi dengan reinforcement verbal dan siklus II menggunakan model simulasi dengan reinforcement non verbal.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model simulasi dengan reinforcement meningkatkan aktivitas belajar IPS dari 14,28% pada siklus I menjadi 87,49% pada siklus II, hasil belajar IPS meningkat dari rata-rata kelas 81,07 pada siklus I menjadi 81,25 pada siklus II. Dengan demikian metode simulasi dengan reinforcement dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas IX C SMPN 2 Jetis Bantul. IMPROVING THE SOCIAL STUDIES LEARNING RESULT THROUGH SIMULATION METHODS WITH REINFORCEMENT AT SMPN 2 JETIS BANTULAbstractThis research aims to improve the learning activity and social studies learning result at year IX C of  SMPN 2 Jetis Bantul  after appliying Simulation Methods with reinforcement. This research was a classrrom action research study using Kemmis Taggart design. The subjects in this research were year IX C students SMPN 2 Jetis Bantul in the academic year of 2013/2014. Treatment that applied is simulation methods with reinforcement to improve the activity and social studies learning result. The data were collected through observation and tests. Observation technique was used to know activity learning result student in the social studies lerning and tests was used to show learning result. This research was done in two cycles. Cycle I used simulation methods with verbal reinforcement and Cycle II used simulation methods with non verbal reinforcement. The research show that the use of simulation methods with reinforcement improve social studies activity learning 14.28% in Cycle I to 87.49% in Cycle II, social studies learning result improve from classroom average 81.07 in Cycle I to 81.25 in Cycle II. The application of the simulation model through reinforcement was improve the social studies learning result the students of IXC SMPN 2 Jetis Bantul.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur pengaruh motivasi berwirausaha, informasi bisnis, dan lingkungan keluarga terhadap kesiapan berwirausaha siswa SMK Negeri Kabupaten Lombok Tengah, baik secara sendiri-sendiri maupun secara bersama-sama. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif yang menggunakan dengan pendekatan expost facto. Sebagai variabel terikat adalah kesiapan berwirausaha dan sebagai variabel bebas adalah motivasi berwirausaha, informasi bisnis dan lingkungan keluarga. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa SMK Negeri Se-Kabupaten Lombok Tengah. Sampel sebanyak 260 siswa dari empat sekolah ditentukan dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang yang digunakan adalah kuesioner untuk mengukur variabel motivasi berwirausaha, informasi bisnis, lingkungan keluarga, dan kesiapan berwirausaha. Hasil penelitian adalah: (1) hasil analisis regresi parsial menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif motivasi berwirausaha terhadap kesiapan berwirausaha berdasarkan koefisien regresi parsial r = 0,644 pada p = 0,000; (2) terdapat pengaruh positif informasi bisnis terhadap kesiapan berwirausaha dengan koefisien regresi parsial r = 0,675 pada p = 0,000; (3) terdapat pengaruh positif lingkungan keluarga terhadap kesiapan berwirausaha dengan koefisien regresi parsial r = 0,577 pada p = 0,000; (4) hasil regresi ganda menunjukkan motivasi berwirausaha, informasi bisnis, dan lingkungan keluarga secara bersama-sama berpengaruh positif terhadap kesiapan berwirausaha dengan nilai R = 0,741; F =85.700 pada p = 0,000 dan sumbangan efektif 64,9%. ENTREPRENEURSHIP READINESS OF STUDENTS OF VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOLS IN CENTRAL LOMBOK REGENCY VIEWED MOTIVATION, BUSINESS INFORMATION, AND FAMILY ENVIRONMENTAbstractThis research aims to find out the effect of entrepreneurship motivation, business information, and family environment on the entrepreneurship readiness of the students vocational high schools in Central Lombok Regency both individually and collectively. This research was quantitative research using the ex-post facto method. The dependent variable was entrepreneurship readiness, whereas its independent variables were entrepreneurship motivation, business information, and family environment. The population was all students and their vocational high schools in Central Lombok Regency. A sample of four schools and 260 students were established using the cluster random sampling technique. The instrument used in this research was a questionnaire to measure the entrepreneurship motivation, business information, family environment, and entrepreneurship readiness variable. The results of this study show that : (1) according to the partial analysis there is a positive effect of entrepreneurship motivation on the entrepreneurship readiness based on partial correlation coefficient r = 0.644 on p = 0.000; (2) there is a positive effect of business information on entrepreneurship readiness based on the partial correlation coefficient r = 0.675 on p = 0.000; (3) there is a positive effect of family environment on entrepreneurship readiness based on the partial correlation coefficient r = 0.577 on p = 0.000; (4) the result of the multiple regression analysis show that the entrepreneurship motivation, business information, and family environment have collectively a positive effect on entrepreneurship readiness based on the score of R = 0.741; F = 85.700 on p = 0.000 and effective contribution in 64.9%.
