Abstract

BUkU ini terdiri atas 11 bab dan dilengkapi dengan 2 lampiran danindeks. Di dalam Pendahuluan diuraikan tentang perestorikaAmerika Serikat yang memberikan gambaran bahwa sejak tahun 1980kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap pemerintah sudah menurun, bahkanpada tahun 1990-an penurunan kepercayaan tersebut cukup tajamsehingga dapat dikatakan p,emerinta4an sudah mati atau I1!;~nemui jalanbuntu. Sehubungan dengan itu, tidak mengherankan jika hanya 5 %warga Amerika Serikat yang akan memilih jabatan dalam pemerintahandan hanya 13% dari pegawai tinggi federal yang merekomendasikankarier pegawai negeri. Pada tahun 1990 USA mengalami defisit yang cukup besar dan untuk menutupnya dilakukan dengan pajak Namuncara ini banyak ditentang sehingga dalam tahun 1990-1991 parapemimpin pemerintah memperdebatkan pilihan antara pengabdian danpelayanan yang lebih sedikit atau pajak yang lebih tinggi Untukmengatasi kecenderungan para pimpinan menghabiskan anggaran padasetiap akhir tahun, maka dikembangkan strateg~,d imana pengelolaananggarran disesuakan pada orientassi pada hasil disertai upaya untukpenghematan serta dikembangkan upaya memberikan bonus kepadamereka yang berprestasi dengan menggunakan sistem manajemenwirausaha publik.Dalam bab selanjutnya yang merupakan inti pada dasarnyamengemukan perlunya perubahan peran pemerintah dari perantradisional yang sifatnya meqgatur, menguasai menuju ke arahmemberikan kesempatan kepada masyarakat Langkah pertama untukmewirausahakan birokrasi adalah pemerintah lebih rnengutamakankegiatan yang bersifat mengarahkan dari pada kegiatan yang sifatnyamengatur Konsekuensinya, perlu ada redistribusi kepenguasaan daripemerintah Secara tradisional, peran pemerintah adalah mengatur dankurang mengedepankan dialog. Dalam konsep baru, peran pemerintahdiharapkan lebih bersifat mengarahkan pada dialog serta membangunkernitraan dengan swasta khususnya kegiatan yang berkaitan denganpelayanan.

Abstract

Nowadays, many yunior and senior high school teachers who have achieve "guru Pembina" IVa rank face a difficulty to get promotion to IV b rank and above. This occurs since to get promotion to IVb rank and above, they must have 12 credit points ofprofession development. They are little know about profession development. The purpose ofthis stud~are: to know degree ofcomprehension, degree ofdifficulty, and yunior and senior high school teacher's attitude to'profession development. The population ofthis study are juniorand senior high school teachers in Yogyakarta Special Territory. Multistage random sampling is employed in this study. Data collection methods are quesioner, documentation, and interview while data collecting instrument is quesioner. Data analysis methods used are differentiation and correlation technique using SPSS 10.0 Based on data analysis, some conclusion can be dra\VTI. Firstly, 58% of teachers have low degree ofcomprhension, 80% ofteachers have moderate degree ofdifficulty and 69% ofteachers have low attitude to profession development. Secondly, there is no significant difference in teacher's attitude to profession development between teachers holding graduate and under graduate degree, junior and senior high school teachers, III rank and IV rank teachers and who have everjoined in training course and who have not everjoined. Thirdly, here is significant difference in degree ofcomprehention ofprofession development between teachers holding graduate and under graduate degree. Abstract

Quotient on the work readiness of students both partially and simultaneously. This research was an ex-post facto with a quantitative approach. The population of this study was 874 strata-1 students of the Faculty of Economics, Yogyakarta State University. The sample size was 275 students taken by using the proportional cluster random sampling technique. Data was collected by a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression.  The results  showed  that:  (1)  soft skills  and adversity quotient together had a positive and significant effect (p = 0,000), the simultaneous contribution of the two variables to job readiness by 33% and 67% was influenced by other variables not examined. (2) soft skills have a positive effect on work readiness (p = 0,000) with a contribution of 22%; (3) Adversity quotient has a positive effect on work readiness (p = 0,000) with a contribution of 11%. The results of this study can be followed up by  providing learning that emphasizes improving soft skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran (2) meningkatkan aktivitas proses pembelajaran  (3) meningkatkan sikap sosial peserta didik (4) meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS perserta didik melalui penerapan  model pembejararan berbasis masalah berbantuan media stimulan gambar di SMP Negeri 1 Tepus Gunungkidul Yogyakarta.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik desktiptif dengan membandingkan hasil belajar peserta didik sebelum dan setelah tindakan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Terjadi peningkatan skor kualitas pembelajaran siklus I sebesar 3; siklus II sebesar 3,7; dan siklus III sebesar 4. (2) Terjadi peningkatan aktivitas  sebelum tindakan skor sebesar 11,67; siklus I sebesar 14,17; siklus II sebesar 18,80; dan siklus III sebesar 20,03. (3) Terjadi  peningkatan sikap sosial sebelum tindakan rata-rata skor 26,86 dan  setelah sebesar 33,90. Minat peserta didik sebelum tindakan rata-rata sebesar 39,63 dan setelah sebesar 42,67. (4) Terjadi peningkatan skor  hasil belajar sebelum tindakan rata-rata 65,50 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 50%, siklus I sebesar 73,50 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 70%, siklus II sebesar 76,17 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 76,67 %, siklus III sebesar 80 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 86,67%. Kata Kunci: model pembejararan berbasis masalah, media stimulan gambar, hasil belajar______________________________________________________________IMPROVING SOCIAL STUDIES LEARNING OUTCOMES THROUGH THE APPLICATION OF THE PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING MODEL ASSISTED BY PICTURE STIMULANT MEDIA Abstract This study aims to improve: (1) the learning process quality, (2) the students’ activities, (3) their social attitudes, and (4) their Social Studies learning outcomes through the application of the problem-based learning model assisted by picture stimulant media at SMP Negeri 1 Tepus, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. This was an action research study. The data were analyzed by means of the descriptive statistics by comparing the students’ learning outcomes before the action with those after the action. The results of the study were as follows. (1)  There was an improvemen in the students’ attitude. quality scores first cycle of 3; second cycle of 3.7; and the third cycle was 4. (2) There was an improvement in the students’ activities; the score was 11.67, improving to 14.17 at the end of Cycle I, 18.80 at the end of Cycle II, and 20.03 at the end of Cycle III. (3) There was an improvement in the students’ social attitudes; the mean score was 26.86 at the initial condition, improving to 33.90 at the end of the action. The mean score of their interests was 39.63at the initial condition, improving to 42.67 at the end of the action. (4) There was an improvement learning outcomes; at the initial condition the mean score was 65.50 with a whole class mastery of 50%, improving to 73.50 with a whole class mastery of 70% at the end of Cycle I, 76.17 with a whole class mastery of 76.67% at the end of Cycle II, and 80.00 with a whole class mastery of 86.67% at the end of Cycle III. Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) could have far reaching impact on economies and societies across the globe. The current avalanche of technological changes across the workplace demonstrated by AI has rekindled widespread fear of job losses and increase in inequality. This study sets out to analyze the perceptions of Asian undergraduates towards the increasing development of AI technologies in the workplace and assess how confident and adaptable they are in relation to challenges of AI as a viable future job competitor in the labour market. A survey instrument was administered randomly to 84 respondents from Yogyakarta State University and descriptive statistics was used in analyzing the data. The findings from the study revealed that more than 70 percent of respondents possess satisfactory levels of self-confidence and adaptability skills to take on the disruptive forces of AI technologies in the future but exhibits mixed feeling as regard to their perception of AI technologies in the workplace as the margin of difference among the three response options provided (Scared, Confident or Indifferent) were so small and below 50% for each option.  This study bridges the gap in the literature relating to undergraduate’s perception of AI in the workplace especially in Asia while also providing useful insights and recommendations to ensuring that all relevant stakeholders especially undergraduates maximizes the opportunities brought about by AI while reducing or totally eradicating the threats on their path.

Abstract

The open-loop educational computer numerical control (CNC) milling machine requires accuracy verification in order to ensure its accuracy and functionality. In this paper, the new verification method is proposed based on the length measurement using the fringe counting of He-Ne laser interferometry. The ideal translation length is defined by the number of electric pulses generated by the micro-stepping driver, while the actual length is measured using He-Ne laser interferometry. In the experimental process, the data of the fringe pattern of the He-Ne laser and the number of electric pulses which drive the stepper motors were simultaneously acquired using an oscilloscope. Hence, the data has been analyzed to obtain the ideal and actual lengths by using an in-house program developed in Python. By comparing the actual translation and ideal length, the accuracy of the educational CNC milling machine has been evaluated to be 50 µm for the length up to 200 mm.

Abstract

     The Republic of Indonesian government proposes the owners of  private vehicle in order to use pertamax as fuel. Premium will be consumpted specially for the  public transportation. Therefore it is required research how the effect of fuel used to the engine performance.      This research has used a matic motor cycle engine as testing material. This vehicle is used because matic vehicle are large applicated as private transportation. Data which are required as performance of the engine, involve power and torsion, rate of fuel consumption, temperature of cylinder head cover and emission of the axhausted gas.     Based on the anaysis of the data, can be concluded that type of the fuel affects to the engine which consumpted pertamax are higher than engine which consumpted premium. Rate of premium consumption is larger than rate of pertamax consumptionKeywords : engine performance, oil fuel, emision.

Abstract

Berdasarkan penjelasan Pasal 33 UUD 1945, secara eksplisit koperasi merupakan bangun perusahaan yang sesuai bagi perekonomian Indonesia. Secara yuridis selama UUD 1945 masih merupakan landasan struktural Indonesia maka semua warga negara dan pemerintah Indonesia wajib menjaga keberadaan dan mengembangkan koperasi menjadi sektor ekonomi yang kuat sehingga mampu berperan sebagai soko guru perekonomian Indonesia.Meskipun konsep koperasi merupakan konsep yang sifatnya general, namun koperasi di Indonesia mempunyai karakteristik yang berbeda dengan koperasi di negara lain. Koperasi Indonesia tidak sekedar sebagai badan usaha seperti firma, perseroan terbatas, tetapi koperasi Indonesia merupakan agen pembangunan untuk pengentasan kemiskinan, meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat, dan berperan untuk menyebarluaskan jiwa dan semangat koperasi untuk dapat dikembangkan pada perusahaan swasta dan negara. Namun demikian, rendahnya kualitas SDM koperasi, adanya kasus-kasus penyimpangan, serta kurang optimalnya peran pengawas menyebabkan kehidupan dan kinerja koperasi semakin terpuruk sehingga masyarakat trauma dan memiliki persepsi yang negatif terhadap koperasi.Untuk membangun kembali citra koperasi, maka pemerintah perlu mensosialisasikan substansi dan nilai-nilai luhur koperasi kepada seluruh warga negara, khususnya generasi muda, mengembangkan jiwa dan semangat kewirausahaan pada koperasi; membangun jaringan kerja sama dengan pelaku ekonomi lainnya, serta dibutuhkannya political will yang kuat dari pemerintah untuk mengembangkan koperasi, serta berani bertindak tegas terhadap koperasi yang tidak sehat maupun membubarkan organisasi yang berkedok koperasi.
