Critical thinking skills should be owned by everyone. Observations indicate that the students’ thinking skills of class IX SMP N 8 Bandar Lampung had been developed. Therefore, it is necessary to act as a solution to improve the students’ thinking skills. One way to use multimedia animation through cooperative learning model STAD type. This research aimed to find out the effect of the use of multimedia animation with cooperative learning model STAD type to the students' thinking skills on the subject matter of the Human Reproductive System.The research design was pretest-posttest design are not equivalent. The research sample is class IX A and IX B are selected from the population at random cluster sampling. Quantitative data obtained from the average value of the pretest, posttest, and N-gain satistik analyzed. Qualitative data in the form of student activity data taken using the rubric student activity data and student responses to learning using multimedia animation with type STAD cooperative learning model that analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the use of multimedia animation with cooperative learning model STAD type significantly affect toward students' thinking skills. In addition, an increase of students critical thinking in the experimental class with an average N-gain 63.95% is medium criteria, on average N-gain of all the indicators of students in the experimental class students' thinking skills also increased the amount of 65.88% with criteria being. The average percentage of student learning activities in all aspects of that observed in the experimental class has medium criteria 71.75%. In addition, most students responded positively to the use of multimedia animation through cooperative learning model STAD type. Based on interview with biology teacher in SMP N 22 Bandar Lampung, student’s critical thinking skill were not optimally developed. Alternative that can be used to improve student’s critical thinking is problem based learning (PBL) model. This experiment aims to find out the influence of PBLmodel towards improvement of student’s critical thinking skill. This is quasi experiment using pretest posttest group non equivalent design. Sample are students from VIIIA and VIII B which selected from population by random sampling method. Quantitative data from the average of pretest, posttest and N-gain which statistically analyzed with Mann Whitney-U test. Qualitative data are student’s critical thinking skilldescription, learning activities and student’s response about applicating PBL model which descriptively analyzed. Result of this experiment showed that student’s critical thinking skill improved significantly in giving reason (18,34%) and giving solution (44,36%)whereas not in formulating problem, hypothesize and interpretating statement.The student’s learning activities in all observed aspects (78,49%). Student’s learning activities improved in asking question (6,4%)and presenting group discussion result (16,45%) which are at high level. The students (86,25%) also give positive response in PBL. Two elements that very important in the learning process are model and media instructional. The observation was known that teachers not give an opportunity for students to develop independently so that students' critical thinking skills are underdeveloped. This study aimed to determine the effect of the use of audiovisual media through PBL models in improving critical thinking skills by students. The research design was pretest posttest equivalent group. The research sample class X2 and X5 are selected by cluster random sampling. The results showed that the use of audiovisual media through PBL models can improve critical thinking skills by students with average pretest (20.45), posttest (73.13), and N-gain (0,66). The average percentage of students also increased activity in all aspects of that observed with good criterion (85.04). In addition, the majority of students (89.68%) gave positive response about the use of audiovisual media through PBL models. Thus, we can conclude the use of audiovisual media through PBL models have a significant effect in improving critical thinking skills by students in the subject matter of environmental pollution and preservation efforts. The purpose of this study was to determine effectivity of using TGT model to increase activity and mastery of the human circulatory system. The design used was a pretest-posttest non-equivalent. The samples were students of XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 2 taken by cluster random sampling. Qualitative data taken from student activity and responses using TGT. Quantitative data obtained from the average value of the pretest, posttest and N-gain. The results showed all aspects of student learning activities increase (49.96%). Mastery of the material also increased in pretest (30%), posttest (71%) and N -Gain (59%). Students also give positive responses. Based on the results obtained from this study that: (1) The use of cooperative learning model type TGT effective in increasing student activity and mastery of the material in the human circulatory system, class XI Science High School N 13 Bandar Lampung, (2) The use of cooperative learning model types TGT able to increase the students activities in the subject matter of the human circulatory system, (3) Most of the students gave a positive response of using cooperative learning model type TGT on the subject matter in the human circulatory system. The result of observation and interview with biology teacher in class X of SMAN 1 Pagar Dewa, were found out the output of students have already lowered. This is caused by teachers that using inappropriate learning model. This research aim to understand of activity progress of study also mastery of concept the student by means of application of model learning process of TAI. This study is experimental kuasi with pretest, posttest design of group non-equivalent. The sample of research are students of class X5 and X6 that were chosen by cluster random sampling. The result of study shown that the student activity in every aspects were observed in the experiment class has already increased. The aspect of question has grade 87,5%, the aspect of answer the question is 90,28%, and the aspect to express of ides is 84,72%. Mastery of the concept also increasing, on the average of grades pretest 45, the grades of posttest is 67 and N-gain is 0,39. In short, learning process by using model of TAI may increasing the activities of studying and mastery of the concept of student. One of the life skills that need to be developed through a process of education is critical thinking skills, but in MAN 1 (Model) Bandar Lampung, critical thinking skills students have not developed optimally. This study aimed to determine the influence of illustrated cards media through Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) learning model towards the increase of students' critical thinking skills.This study was a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest design in non-equivalent groups. The research samples were class X4 and X5, selected from the population in accordance with cluster random sampling. The data of this study in the form of quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data was obtained from the average value of pretest and posttest, were statistically analyzed by t-test with SPSS version 17 at the level of 95%. Qualitative data in the form of descriptions of students' critical thinking skills, students’ activity data and students’ responses to the use of illustrated card media through TAI learning model that analyzed descriptively. The results showed students' critical thinking skills in experimental class as a whole or for each indicator has increased (pretest = 0.84; posttest = 42.79, N-gain = 0.42). The average percentage of students’ activity in experiments class also showed improvement in all aspects. In addition, all students gave positive responses to the use of illustrated card media through TAI learning model. Thus, learning to use the illustrated card media through learning model TAI influential on the increase of students' critical thinking skills. Based on observations and interviews with Biology teacher at SMP N 19 Bandar Lampung obtained information that eighth grade learning outcomes is still low at only 22.22% of students who achieved mastery Minimal Criteria (KKM). This is presumably due to the use of a variety of media as a tool in learning is still rare. Therefore it is necessary to use a medium that media can make students more actively in learning that results belajarpun increased. The purpose of this study was to mengetahuai realia media effectiveness through guided inquiry model of the learning activities and students' mastery of the material. The research design was a pretest posttest non-equivalent, with sempel retrieval technique using a cluster random sampling. Quantitative research data is data is data mastery of the material obtained from the pretest-posttest values were then calculated with the formula N-Gain scores and data analysis using t-test at the 95% level of belief. Qualitative data in the form of student activity data and questionnaire responses of students drawn from the observation. The results of this study indicate an improvement of the control of matter on a class that uses a media realia through guided inquiry models with average pretest ratat the 3.11 increase to the average post-test is 7.78 with N-gain of 68.54. Likewise with student learning activities, from five aspects of student learning activities observed was evident in the first meeting with the average value of learning activities by 60.95% increased to 75.05% in the second peretemuan. As for the students' responses on the effectiveness of media use realia through guided inquiry model of general students were pleased with the learning that has been done. Base in the observation on XI IPA 1 grade students of senior high school Bukit Kemuning known that XI IPA 1 class in even semester academic year 2011/2012 shows the average value mastery of the material of the human movement system is still lo, seen the average of student scores that 60,83 well below from the mastery learning that 65,0. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of the use of teaching materials leaflet with teaching models TPS towards the activity and student lerning outcomes in the subject matter of the movement system. This research is quasi experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. A sample of this reaserch is XI IPA 1 grade students of senior high school Bukit Kemuning. The data of this study was obtained from the test (pretest and posttest) and the observation sheet (students learning activities). data analysis using a t-test with the program SPSS17.The results showed that an increased in the average between the pretest (71,73) and posttest(71,73). The average student activity at the third metting increased by 5,88%. Also based on the data questionnaire leaflet interest of teaching materials, all students stated instructional material leaflet in interesting (96,32%). Thus, learning to use instructional materials leaflet is effect on activity and learning outcomes of XI IPA 1 grade students of senior high school Bukit Kemuning the subject matter of the human movement system.Keywords: Leaflet, Teaching materials, TPS, Learning activities, Larning outcomes, Movement system

Mastery of the material is the result of learning in cognitive skills. The observations in class X Senior High School 15 Bandar Lampung mastery of the material by students is still low. This study aimed to determine the effect of media use picture cards with STAD learning model the activity and control of matter by students on the subject matter Virus. The study design is a pretest-posttest non-equivalent. Quantitative data obtained from initial test scores and final test dinalisis statistically using t-test at 95% confidence level. Qualitative data in the form of student activity data and questionnaire responses of students to use picture cards with model media STAD analyzed descriptively.The results showed the use of a picture card media with STAD learning model has influence on the increased activity of learning and mastery of the material by the students of class X SMA Negeri 15 Bandar Lampung on the subject matter Virus. The highest increase in the indicators of aspects of understanding are supported by studying the activity of the aspects of working with friends (90.7) and lowest indicator is the aspect of the analysis. Besides the increase is supported by the data questionnaire kemenarikan picture card media (88.29%) by stating that the students are happy, easier to understand, more active and motivated to learn to use the picture card media. It can be concluded that the use of a picture card media with STAD learning model has influence on the increased activity of learning and mastery of the material by the students of class X Senior High School 15 Bandar Lampung on the subject matter Virus.Keywords: picture card media, STAD, learning activities, mastery material, virus.

Rational thinking skill is one of the result learning demand which should be owned by each student. The result of observation in class VIII of Junior High School 19 Bandar Lampung was known that student’s rational thinking skill didn’t develop in an optimal fashion yet. Objective of this research is have cognize of efectivity of using biology slide media through Jigsaw’s cooperative learning type in enhancement of student’s rational thinking skill in Plant Tissue Structure and Function Mainly Description. This research is a quasi experiment with pretest-postest non equivalent group design. Samples of research are student class VIII G and VIII H which are chosen by cluster random sampling. Quantitative datas are obtained from average of pretest, posttest, and N-gain which are analyzed statistically using t-testand U-test in 5% confidence degrees through program of SPSS 17. Qualitative datas include student’s learning activities and conceptions of using of biology slide media through Jigsaw’s cooperative learning type in enhancement of student’s rational thinking skill in Plant Tissue Structure and Function Mainly Description.. Result of research shows that largely student give positive conceptions of using of biology slide media through Jigsaw’s cooperative learning type. But then, this case isn’t in line with learning result was gotten by student. The average of student’s rational thinking skill improvement in class experiment is lower than control (experiment=14,63%; control=22,59%). Beside that, percentage average of improvement of student’s activities in all observed aspects in class experiment is also lower than control (experiment=66,67%; control=79,17%). Thereby, using of biology slide media through Jigsaw’s cooperative learning type isn’t effective to enhance of student’s rational thinking skill in Plant Tissue Structure and Function Mainly Description.
