Abstract

This experiment aimed to find out the use of the applicating active index card match (ICM) strategy towards the students cognitive result. The research designs was non equivalent pretest – posttest. The research sample were students in XA and XB class that was selected by random sampling. Data of the research were qualitative and quantitative. The qualitative data was gotten by students learning activity and questionnaire that was analyzed descriptively. The quantitative data were the average score of test, that was analyzed by t-test and U-test. Result of this study shown that the average of students outcomes in experimental class are higher than control (experiment= 65.92; control = 47.75). The average of percentase student learning activities in all observed aspects in experimental class shown that it was higher enhancement than control (experiment = 80.74; control = 62.66). The students also gives positive responses to applicating of active index card match (ICM) strategy.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan strategi pembelajaran aktif index card match (ICM) terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes-postes tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas XA dan XB dipilih secara random sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif diperoleh dari aktivitas belajar siswa dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil belajar  kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi (eksperimen = 65.92; kontrol = 47.75). Rata-rata persentase aktivitas siswa semua aspek kelas eksperimen juga menunjukkan peningkatan yang lebih tinggi (eksperimen = 80.74; kontrol = 62.66). Selain itu, semua siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan strategi pembelajaran aktif index card match (ICM).Kata kunci : aktivitas belajar, hasil belajar kognitif, index card match, strategi aktif

Abstract

The objective of this research was to find the improvement of student’s critical thinking skill by the use of school environment. This research used pretest-posttest non-equivalent research method. Samples were class VII3 and class VII4 and they were taken using purposive sampling technique. The quantitative data were obtained from pretest, posttest and N-gain, and they were processed using tests of normality, homogeneity, t1, t2, and U. The qualitative data were students’ learning activities and questionnaires of students’ responses and they were processed descriptively. The results showed that the use of school environment could improve student’s critical thinking skill. This could be seen from N-gain 67.91 that was higher and different significantly and 80.21% students’ learning activities. The aspect of cooperation with classmates was the highest activity of students. In addition, most of students (±65%) expressed positive responses. The conclusion is that the use of school environment could improve the students’ critical thinking skills and students’ learning activities at ecosystem subject material. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa melalui pemanfaatan lingkungan sekolah. Desain penelitian adalah pretest-postest non ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas VII3 dan VII4 dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari pretest, posttest, dan N-gain diolah menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas, t1, t2, dan U. Data kualitatif berupa aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa diolah secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan lingkungan sekolah dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dilihat dari N-gain 67,91 lebih tinggi serta berbeda signifikan dan aktivitas belajar siswa sebesar 80,21%,  aspek bekerjasama dengan teman merupakan aktivitas tertinggi dari siswa. Selain itu, sebagian besar siswa (±65%) memberikan tanggapan positif. Dengan demikian pemanfaatan lingkungan sekolah dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan aktivitas belajar siswa pada materi pokok ekosistem.Kata kunci  :  ekosistem, keterampilan berpikir kritis, lingkungan sekolah, sumber belajar.

Abstract

The purpose was to determine student’s cooperation quality and achievement using group discussion methods. The design was simple descriptive. Subjects were VII A randomly selected by random sampling cluster technique. Research data form quantitative  data namely student learning outcomes obtained from pretest and posttest, and qualitative data form cooperation quality. Data analyzed using simple statistical form descriptive percentage. Research students cooperation quality increased with average 50% good criteria, 23.62% very well criteria, and 26.39 poorly criteria. All indicator of cooperation quality increased. Learning outcomes students increased by medium criteria on individual results (gain score 0.65), group result 0.35. So, cooperation quality on good criteria and student learning outcomes on medium criteria in learning using group discussion methods.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kualitas kerjasama dan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan metode diskusi kelompok. Desain penelitian ini deskriptif sederhana. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII A dipilih secara acak dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif yaitu hasil belajar siswa diperoleh dari pretest dan postest, dan data kualitatif berupa kualitas kerjasama siswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik sederhana yakni deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian kualitas kerjasama mengalami peningkatan dengan rata-rata 50 % berkriteria baik, 23,62 % berkriteria sangat baik, dan 26,39 berkriteria kurang baik. Seluruh indikator kualitas kerjasama mengalami peningkatan. Hasil belajar siswa berkriteria sedang pada hasil individu (skor gain  0,65), hasil kelompok sebesar 0,35. Jadi, kualitas kerjasama berkriteria baik dan hasil belajar siswa berkriteria sedang pada pembelajaran menggunakan metode diskusi kelompok. Kata kunci :  hasil belajar, kualitas kerjasama, metode diskusi, pencemaran lingkungan.

Abstract

This research aim was to know the effectiveness of the monopoly learning media based ASSURE  in increasing students critical thinking of the second grade in SHS. The design used was a pretest-posttest not equivalent. The research samples were the students of MIA I and MIA III amounted of 65 students that were selected through purposive sampling technique. The data of this research were qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative data were average value of students critical thinking ability were based on the instrument and then analyzed descriptively. Quantitative data were obtained from N-Gain, average value of the pretest, posttest, and then analyzed statistically using test 0.05 confidence level in the U. The results showed that the students in experiments class have average achievement score in the critical thinking with the category "very good" while the catagory of control class is "less". The Improvement of the learning outcome from the experiment class was higher than the class of the control with an average value of gain (2,815±44.67). Thus, monopoly based learning media ASSURE was effective in increasing students critical thinking.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas media pembelajaran monopoli berbasis ASSURE dalam peningkatan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas XI MIA.Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas XI MIA I dan XI MIA III berjumlah 65 peserta didik  dan dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data berupa rata-rata nilai kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik yang diperoleh dari instrument kemampuan berpikir kritis lalu dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data hasil belajar diperoleh dari N-Gain, rata-rata nilai pretest, dan posttest, lalu dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji U pada taraf kepercayaan 0,05.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik kelas eksperimen memiliki pencapaian skor berpikir kritis dengan kategori “sangat baik” sedangkan kelas kontrol ialah “kurang”. Kata kunci: assure, berpikir kritis, media monopoli, peserta didik

Abstract

This research was knowing the use of applicating approach science technology community toward students learning result and students affective abilities. The research designs were non equivalent pretest – posttest. The research sample were students in IXA and IXB class that was selected by purposive sampling technique. The qualitative data was gotten by students affective abilities and questionnaire of students, that were analyzed descriptive. The quantitative data were the average score of test, that was analyzed by t-test and U-test. The result showed that the students affective (asking questions, proposing an opinion, working together, convince in answering questions) achieve an average of 80% which is in good criteria. Beside that the students learning outcomes also develop, with N-gain average score was 74.42. The students also gives positive responses to applicating approach STC. Thus, it can be concluded that the used of approach STC increase with of students learning result and students affective abilities in application of biotechnology.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan pendekatan Sains Teknologi Masyarakat (STM) terhadap hasil belajar dan kemampuan afektif siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes postes tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas IXA dan IXB yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kualitatif berupa kemampuan afektif siswa, dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan afektif siswa yaitu mengajukan pertanyaan, mengusulkan pendapat, bekerjasama, dan meyakinkan dalam menjawab pertanyaan mencapai rata-rata yaitu 80% berkriteria baik. Hasil belajar siswa juga mengalami peningkatan, dengan rata-rata nilai N-gain 74.42. Selain itu, semua siswa memberikan tanggapan positif yaitu senang terhadap penggunaan pendekatan STM. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan STM berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar dan kemampuan afektif siswa pada materi penerapan bioteknologi.Kata kunci : bioteknologi, hasil belajar, kemampuan afektif, STM

Abstract

This study was aimed to determine the effect of TGT learning model and flash card media toward students learning activity and material understanding. This study was designed using not equevalent group pretest posttest design. The samples were students of grade X1 and X2 and it was established by purposive sampling. The qualitative data of students learning activity was collected by observation sheet, and students respones was collected by questionnaire, then it was analyzed descriptively. The quantitative data of material understanding was collected by an average value of pretest, posttest and N-Gain, then it was analyzed statistically using t-test and U-test. The results of this study showed an increased students learning activity with percentage 80,16% as high criteria, but it was not influence significantly to students material understanding of Plant Kingdom. The N-gain average of material understanding on C1 indicator was 92,8617,93; and C3 indicator was 32,7127,79 were not different significantly. While, C2 indicator was 86,5424,13 different significantly.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran TGT dengan media kartu bergambar terhadap aktivitas belajar dan penguasaan materi oleh siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes-postes kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas X1 dan X2 yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data kualitatif berupa aktivitas belajar yang diperoleh melalui lembar observasi, dan tanggapan siswa diperoleh melalui angket, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data kuantitatif berupa penguasaan materi siswa diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes, postes, dan N-gain, kemudian dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata aktivitas belajar yaitu 80,16% dengan kriteria tinggi, namun tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan penguasaan materi Dunia Tumbuhan. Rata-rata N-gain penguasaan materi pada indikator C1 sebesar 92,8617,93; dan indikator C3 sebesar 32,7127,79 tidak berbeda signifikan, namun indikator C2 sebesar 86,5424,13 berbeda signifikan.Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar, kartu bergambar, penguasaan materi, TGT

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of student work sheet guided inquiry based on improving Science Process Skill. Study design was pretest-posttest non-equivalent group. Samples were VII1 and VII2 that were chosen by Purposive Sampling. Quantitative data which were obtained from the average value of test were analyzed by t-test and U-test. The qualitative data were students Science Process Skill from the observation sheet and questionnaire responses that analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the N- gain average of exsperiment class was (70,78). Observation result of Science Process Skill has high criteria (80,54%), and most (85,48%) of the students gave positive respond to Student Work Sheet based on Guided Inquiry. Thus, the use of guided inquiry based worsheets could improved science process skill students in the subject matter of contamination and its impact on living.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan Lembar Kerja Siswa berbasis Inkuiri Terbimbing dalam meningkatkan Keterampilan Proses Sains. Desain penelitian pretes-postes kelompok tak ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian siswa kelas VII1 dan VII2 SMP Negeri 1 Pagelaran dipilih secara Purposive Sampling. Data KPS siswa yang diperoleh dari nilai pretest, postest, dan N-gain yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji-U. Data kualitatif KPS dan tanggapan siswa dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian Sd N-gain sebesar (70,78 18,97). Observasi KPS memiliki kriteria tinggi (80,54%) dan sebagian besar (85,48%) siswa memberikan tanggapan positif terhadap penggunaan LKS Inkuiri Terbimbing. Dengan demikian, penggunaan LKS berbasis Inkuiri Terbimbing dapat meningkatkan KPS siswa pada materi pokok pencemaran dan dampaknya bagi makhluk hidup.Kata kunci: keterampilan proses sains (KPS), LKS inkuiri terbimbing, pencemaran, dan dampaknya bagi makhluk hidup

Abstract

This study aimed to compare the use of real media and picture media for improving student KPS. The design was pretest postest non equivalent group by purposive sampling, class X MIA 1 and X MIA 2 were choosen as research samples. Quantitative data were a student KPS that obtained from the average value of N-gain analyzed by t-test and U test. Qualitative data were percentage of the student KPS and student questionnaire that were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the use of real media with average N-gain 61,95±13,18 was more affected improving student KPS significantly then picture media with average N-gain 34,45±16,20. Based on the observation sheet, the average of student KPS in real media class had high criteria (61%) while picture media class had medium criteria (46,13%). Most of the students gave positive responses to the use of real media (91,15%) and picture media (93,91%).Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui perbandingan penggunan media realia dan media gambar terhadap peningkatan KPS siswa. Desain penelitian adalah pretes postes kelompok non ekuivalen dengan purposive sampling sehingga kelas X MIA 1 dan X MIA 2 diambil sebagai sampel penelitian. Data kuantitatif berupa KPS siswa yang diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai N-gain dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji U. Data kualitatif berupa  persentase KPS siswa dan tanggapan siswa dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media realia dengan rata-rata N-gain 61,95±13,18 lebih berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan KPS siswa secara signifikan dibandingkan dengan media gambar dengan rata-rata N-gain 34,45±16,20. Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the influence of problem based learning model on creative thinking skill at SMP N 2 Jati Agung. The design of this reserach was quasi experimental with samples students VIIC and VIID that were chosen by Purposive Sampling. The research data were quantitative data which were obtained from pre test, post test and N-gain which analyzed using t-test and qualitative data which were obtained from observation students activity and questionnaire of students responses. The research result showed that experiment class average (53,33) was higher than control class (48,30) and percentage average students activity on experiment class (81,66%) was higher than control class (64,22%) and almost all students give positive responses on using PBL. Therefore, it can be concluded that PBL model influenced creative thinking skill in environmental management subject matter.Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif di SMP N 2 Jati Agung. Penelitian bersifat quasi eksperimental dengan sampel penelitian siswa kelas VIIC dan VIID yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif yang diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes postes dan N-gain yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan data kualitatif diperoleh dari observasi aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata peningkatan pada kelas eksperimen (53,33) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol (48,30) dan rata-rata persentase aktivitas belajar siswa kelas eksperimen (81,66%) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol (64,22%) serta mendapat tanggapan positif dari siswa. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa PBL berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif dalam materi pengelolaan lingkunganKata kunci: aktivitas belajar, kemampuan berpikir kreatif, model PBL

Abstract

The study aim was to describe the learning style based on gender and its correlation with students learning achievement. Design research was a qualitative descriptive. The research samples were 259 students of class VIII SMP Tanjung Karang Barat sub-district that were selected by purposive sampling. The research data were learning styles and learning achievement, that were obtained from questionnaires and written tests, data were analyzed descriptively and statistically using different test Mann-Whitney U and Kendall's Tau correlation test. As a result, auditory learning styles more dominant than the visual and kinesthetic learning styles. On test Mann-Whitney U there was no significant difference between the auditorial learning styles of male and female students. There was significant differences between visual learning styles and kinaesthetic learning styles among male and female students. There was no significant correlation between learning styles with learning achievement of male and female students.Keywords: gender, learning style, learning achievement, science learningPenelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gaya belajar ber-dasarkan gender dan hubungannya dengan hasil belajar siswa. Desain penelitian berupa deskriptif kualitatif. Sampel penelitian adalah 259 siswa kelas VIII SMP se-Kecamatan Tanjung Karang Barat yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data penelitian berupa gaya belajar dan hasil belajar, diperoleh dari angket dan tes tertulis pilihan jamak, dianalisis secara deskriptif dan statistik menggunakan uji beda Mann-Whitney U dan uji korelasi Kendalls Tau. Hasilnya, jumlah siswa dengan gaya belajar audiotorial lebih dominan dibandingkan gaya belajar visual dan kinestetik. Pada Uji Mann-Whitney U tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara gaya belajar auditorial antar siswa laki-laki dan perempuan, terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara gaya belajar visual dan gaya belajar kinestetik antar siswa laki-laki dan perempuan. Tidak terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara gaya belajar dengan hasil belajar pada siswa laki-laki dan perempuan.Kata kunci: gaya belajar, gender, hasil belajar, pembelajaran IPA
