Abstract

This research is motivated by the low level of Civics learning activities in grade IV SDN 01 Pancung Problem Pesisir Selatan. Activities are more teacher-centered so that in the learning process students only listen, do not understand Civics concepts and are less able to express ideas, and are still passive. This research is a classroom action research with qualitative and quantitative approaches consisting of 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. This research was conducted in the second semester of the 2015/2016 Academic Year. The research subjects were fourth grade students of SDN 01 Pancung Question. The results showed that the learning process using the Picture and picture model could increase student learning activities in Civics learning in class IV SDN 01 Pancung Question.  This can be seen as follows: student learning activities in the first cycle of Visual Activities obtained a percentage of 78% with a Good category (B), while in cycle 2 increased 88% with a Very Good category (SB), in cycle 1 Oral Activities obtained 76% while in cycle 2 it increased 98% with a very good category (SB), in cycle 1 Mental Activities gained 76% while in cycle 2 it increased by a percentage of 81% with a good category (B). Thus the use of the Picture and picture learning model in Civics learning in class IV can increase student learning activities.

Abstract

The needs to understand mistakes made by students in solving fraction problems in mathematics and the prevalent views that mathematics is a difficult and unfavored subject serve as the main background for this research. The purpose of this research is to describe the students’ mistakes when solving mathematics problems analyzed through Polya’s problem-solving framework. This study follows a quantitative research tradition with a descriptive method. The participants of this study are the 4th-grade students and all of the 4th-grade teachers in two schools: Padaringan State Elementary School 1 and: Padaringan State Elementary School 2. The sample applied in this research consists of 56 students selected through the purposive sampling method. The data were collected using written tests and interviews. Next, the collected data were analyzed using a quantitative approach in the form of percentages for each mistake category. The result of this research shows that the mistake percentage in the step of understanding the problem is 23.37%. This form of mistake is considered the lowest mistake category compared to the other form of mistakes. The mistake percentage in the step of plan designing is 26.53%, while the mistake percentage in the step of plan initiating is 24.36%. In addition to that, the mistake percentage in the step of answer reviewing is 25.74%

Abstract

Learners experience a phase called formal operations, as stated by Jean Piaget in his theory of children's cognitive development. Where at this stage the learner begins to study as a whole by involving all the five senses, and in the learning process the learner needs creativity in building his cognitive, which of course is very closely related to metacognitive skills, in this case learning arts and skills, requires these two things as strengthening the foundation of ability and also increasing the creativity of the learner. Learning fine arts and skills is learning that focuses on and maximizes the five senses of students, which of course is very much in line with the concept of multisensory learning. Study this focus on the use of multisensory learning method used in learning eye studying art likeness, for knowing level creativity and skill metacognitive seen from in terms of multisensory learning

Abstract

This study aims to describe the magnitude of the influence of the Picture and Picture model with the help of Puzzle Media on the science learning outcomes of fifth-grade students. The instruments in this study were student learning outcomes question sheets and student learning activity observer sheets. The instrument in this study was the student learning outcomes question sheets and student learning activity observer sheets. The type of research used is quantitative research with the quality experiment method. The population in this study were all fifth-grade students of SDN 06 Sungai Rusa, totalling 48 students. Samples were taken using the saturated sample technique. The sample that became the experimental class was the VA class using the Picture and Picture model with the help of Puzzle media, while the VB class was the control class using the conventional method. The data analysis technique in this study used the T-test and the Effect Size test.  The results of the hypothesis test show that the value of tcount 3.365 and value ttable 2.012 for a 5 percent and dk 48, which means that there is a significant effect on learning outcomes between students who applied the Picture and Picture learning model assisted by Puzzle media and students who received direct learning. So it can be concluded that the use of the Picture and Picture model with the help of Puzzle media can affect student learning outcomes

Abstract

Literacy is very important for learners and affects their success in terms of learning and living.  The purpose of this study is to explore the implementation, obstacles, and solutions in the implementation of the one-teacher-one-book literacy program at SD Negeri 1 Kuripan, Grobogan.  This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study research design. The data collection techniques used are interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out with three procedures, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the data analysis show that the implementation of the one-teacher-one-book literacy movement program in elementary schools is carried out by principals, teachers, and students with the main target being teachers. The implementation of the one-teacher-one-book literacy movement program in Grobogan District in 2020 was carried out by participating in a one-teacher-one-book movement training at the Kriyad Grand Master Hotel for 2 days which has been held by the local education office in collaboration with the Grobogan Writers Teachers Association (AGPG) and Media Teachers. Teachers can work on their work in between each teacher's free time. Teachers can print their own work into one book or combine their work with other teachers and then make it into one book. The obstacles encountered in the implementation of the literacy movement program for one-book teachers in elementary schools include constraints on the availability of funds and also time. The establishment of a literacy community is a solution to overcoming the obstacles that occur in the implementation of literacy programs to help teachers' self-development through activities with the community, such as joint book reviews, joint discussions, and exchange of information
