Abstract

The Susah Sinyal movie is a lm that takes the theme of the life of a singleparent woman in carrying out her role. single parent is a picture of a single parent who is very tough because they have to play both roles as father andmother. The purpose of conducting research is to show how the stereotypical representation of single parent women in lm Susah Sinyal. This type of research used in this udy is a qualitative udy using the Roland Barthessemiotic analysis method. This research focuses on the role of a single parentwoman named Ellen who is represented in the lm. The results of this udy indicate that the stereotypical representation of single parent is shown in 3 (three) categories. First, the stereotype representation of single parent womenthat describes emotional women and women who are weak in carrying outboth roles. Second, the representation of women’s resi ance based on liberal feminism which shows the stereotype that single parent women are hard-working women. Third, the representation of patriarchal ideology found aereotype that problem children are the failure of single parent women ineducating and caring for children.

Abstract

Dji Sam Soe “Mahakarya” is one of the Indonesian cigarette advertisements that raises the theme of nationalism. Dji Sam Soe “Mahakarya” gave a message of nationalism to continue to love his own country, namely Indonesia. The advertisement invites the Indonesian people to continue to love this countryamid the rapid pace of modernization. This udy aims to determine therepresentation of national identity in the cigarette advertisement of Dji SamSoe “Ma erpiece”. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data analysis in the form of identifying signs, under anding, and analysis. Theresults showed that there were two forms of representational meanings in the Dji Sam Soe “Mahakarya” ad, namely the representation of national identity in Mooie Indie and representation of Balinese cultural inclusion. National identity representation in Mooie Indie is shown in the aspect of love for theland of birth. Love of birthplace visualized by the ate of Indonesia. Its formis in the form of loving one’s own country.

Abstract

PT TWC carries out corporate social responsibility activities through a special division namely PKBL. Social programs implemented are mainly of philanthropic activities such as providing assi ance such as educational funding for high-achieving udents, house renovation for members of the community in need, and assi ance for employees who are fully dedicated to the company. This research uses a quantitative approach with interview techniques with the PKBL Division Manager and documentation udies on the company’s o cial social media where the PKBL team publishes the social programs that have been implemented. This research found that PT TWC through the PKBL Division of corporate social responsibility programs is ill conventional in nature and not relevant enough to the company’s operational activities that focus on temple tourism parks. PT TWC should be able to involve the community in the process of program formulation through open dialogue so that the issues that become the basis of material of the social programs can be truly targeted both in terms of the community being targeted and the priority of the issue itself. Future udies can use other research techniques such as observation and interviews with the community around the company to get a perception of PT TWC.

Abstract

Crisis is something that can suddenly unnoticed. A Public Relations is required to be able to control that impact. Every Public Relations should make a plan in handling crisis, the planning referred as Crisis Management. Kuningan District Government has a planning strategy in handling the crisis. The problem of e-ID card is an external crisis that occurred in Kuningan. This research uses descriptive qualitative research method in order to give description about Crisis Communication Management conducted by Public Relations of Regional Government of Kuningan Regency in handling e-KTP crisis that happened in Kuningan. There are three stages in handling the crisis that is with pre-crisis planning, during crisis and post crisis. The result of this research is communications crisis management activities conducted by the Regional Government of Kuningan Regency has gone through three stages. The first stage is pre crisis, the existence of planning on what to do if the crisis occurs. Local Government of Kuningan Regency in handling e-KTP crisis, they are quick response in handling crisis and also transparent to society. The last thing done after the crisis is by providing guidance and input to the Ahmadiyah community and related Islamic organizations.

Abstract

Communication at the beginning of the meeting is a key communication that will be a benchmark for the relationship between future interpersonal communication that will be undertaken by those who communicate. A sense of uncertainty and anxiety will arise when we do not know the information about our interlocutors who encourage us to do things that will reduce the sense of uncertainty. Inhibiting factors from inside and outside of people who communicate are very influential in the emergence of uncertainty and anxiety. Moreover, this study examines early childhood who are ill in the developing ages in their environment. This study aims to determine the type of uncertaintyexperienced by early football players and coaches Pasoepati Football academyand how their rategies in reducing uncertainty through Charles Berger’stheory of uncertainty reduction. The researcher used a qualitative descriptive method by conducting in-depth interviews with players and PaseopathicFootball Academy coaches. This udy shows that the uncertainty experiencedby players and coaches is cognitive uncertainty, and for uncertainty reductionrategies using active, passive, and interactive strategies.

Abstract

The objective of this research in the future is to get a disaster communication design especially for disability communities. And the short objective of this research are to know the health service communication network design especially for disability communities.This research used a qualitative method with purposive sampling. Informant of this research are disability,government, NGO and volunteer. Primary and secondary data used in this research. Interview, forum group discussion and observation are to get primary data and than writing and documentation are to get secondary data.The results of this research showed that the disability communities as victims of the Merapi volcanic eruption in 2010 had not received special treatment either during evacuation or while in refugee camps. The facilities for evacuation and evacuation facilities are not yet diffable-friendly. While health services were available for victims of the Merapi volcanic eruption. Volunteers deliver or announce information about the availability of health services to refugees using loudspeakers (microfon) so that they can be heard simultaneously by refugees including persons with disabilities except deaf.Pattern of communication network for health services for victims of Merapi volcanic eruptions, namely the wheel pattern, volunteers as sources or information centers regarding the availability of health services for disaster victims (refugees). Whereas the role formed in the health service communication network for disabilities communities is volunteers as Liaison (person who outside the group that connect disabilities groups with medical team groups), medical teams as opinion leaders (people who are asked for opinions on health and influence disabilities to behave accordingly with recommendations in the treatment and prevention of diseases and persons with disabilities (deaf) as isolates (person that have very limited or minimal to access health services information as a result of their limitations and methods of delivering information using loudspeakers.

Abstract

 After the 2019 elections, various kinds of issues emerged, online media have a responsibility to present it through government news, bearing in mind that it concerns the interests of the people. The shift in news consumption behavior in online media actually demands the media industry in riau Goriau.com and riauonline.co.id to be ready to package the news so that it is feasible to be trusted. The research aims to determine the construction in the online media industry through ideology, the commodification of workers and audiences in government news. Norman Faircoulgh's discourse analysis approach method is used by collecting data through documentation, observation and interviews. At the end of the study, it was found that the affirmation of online media ideology in the performance of journalists became an important strategy in editorial management for the sustainability of the media. GoRiau.com instill clicks to monitor the existence of readers while riauonline.co.id always maintains the quality of editorial and media independence. For both of them the news of government leads to advertorial which becomes a financially profitable journalistic product but in the post-2019 news discourse both professionals become the mouthpiece of the government. Commodification of workers with superior planning is adjusted to the professionalism and mastery of information technology mastery in disseminating news so that work and tasks are carried out according to media needs. Commodification of the audience of both media always keeps the click of the reader / user, GoRiau.co maintains their goal to be recognized as an informative media by offering news through an automated system of keywords contained in the link # in increasing media pageview while riauonline.co assumes the reader is king, through the title game in the language of journalism, marketing news at a certain hour becomes a trick that is maintained by riauonline.co.id.

Abstract

Film is one of the mass communication media that is e ective in disseminating information that aims to convey messages to the public. One documentary lm entitled Bulu Mata tells how transgender life is in a region that ill upholds Islamic law. Transgender is a person who has a gender identity that is di erent from his original gender. In Indonesia, transgender is ill a taboo thing in society and is considered a negative behavior. This study aims to nd out how the audience’s reception of transgender in a documentary entitled Bulu Mata. The theory used in this research is the theory of audience reception from Stuart Hall. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach method and data collection techniques using in-depth interview method. In this study, it was successful to show audience receptions in interpreting Bulu Mata lms very di erently. Informants with backgrounds who are intere ed in gender issues are in a dominant position, informants with backgrounds that follow Kine’s lm organization are in negotiated positions, and informants who follow Rohis organizations are in oppositional positions.

Abstract

Food existence has reached out all aspects of life. It also becomes the primary part of economic aspects, the sign of social differentiation, distinction, boundary, and contradiction. The interesting part of food is the changing discourse towards the food itself. The changing of the discourse emerged as the consequence of the transformation from the meaning of food as a practice into an aesthetic thing. A film entitled Aruna dan Lidahnya is Indonesian movie displaying the unique culinary from some localities. It offers an attractive point of view in showing the culinary culture in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the exotization of Madura culinary (campur lorjuk) within Aruna dan Lidahnya. It employs the method of semiotic analysis. This study is showing that Madura culinary (campur lorjuk) is imaged as "wild" food.

Abstract

Green Corporate Social Responsibility )Green CSR( is the company’s commitment to be responsible for the environment and the preservation ofthe surrounding environment, especially those a ected by the company’s operations. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the program of Green CSR of the Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta. The study was qualitative designed as a case study. The data were obtained from primary data through in-depthinterviews with CSR managers and local communities around the hotel and secondary data in the form of reports on CSR activities in the mass media. The results showed that the Green CSR programs of Hyatt Regency Jogja included(i) using treated hotel’s wa ewater for watering plants, (ii) replacing 80% ofhotel lights with LED lights, )iii( using solar panels and saving energy through third party laundry which was proven to reduce the electricity usage of the hotel, )iv( holding Garden Adoption, the competition to decorate the garden in each employee’s house, and )v( empowering the community around the hotel through education to increase the awareness on the environment withsome vandalism purging and tree planting activities to support the su ainableenvironmental development in Yogyakarta.
