Abstract

Mathematical knowledge for teaching (MKT) is one of the factors that affect the competence of prospective teachers in learning. This study aims to describe the MKT of prospective teachers in terms of differences in ability levels in the scope of quadrilateral. The MKT studied in this study includes common content knowledge, and knowledge of the mathematical horizon. The research subjects consisted of three prospective math teachers, namely high-skill, intermediate-skill and low-skill. This research is qualitative research using vignettes. Data in this study was collected through vignettes and interviews. Validity of data using time triangulation. The results of this study showed that the ability of prospective teachers of intermediate-skilled and low-skill teachers still have difficulty regarding quadrilateral convex and quadrilateral concaves and still have difficulty understanding the relationships of squares, rectangles, rhombus and parallelogram. The MKT of intermediate and low-skill subjects of being produced is still limited compared to high-skill subjects. This difference occurs because it has not been able to eliminate the rectangular prototype image. To develop their abilities, prospective teachers need to be equipped with quadrilateral exploration tasks in education and training.

Abstract

Pada umumnya siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan masalah tentang materi turunan fungsi aljabar yang disebabkan karena mereka tidak memahami konsep yang jelas dan benar, dan membuat mereka tidak optimal dalam belajar dan berdampak pada hasil belajar siswa.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pengggunaan model Number Head Together (NHT) dan penggunaan Video Pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi Turunan Fungsi Aljabar di kelas XI SMA Negeri 5 Tual. Tipe Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan desain factorial dengan tiga variabel, yaitu model pembelajaran NHT, video pembelajaran, dan hasil belajar siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 5 Tual yang berjumlah 64 siswa dan 64 siswa tersebut merupakan sampel dalam penelitian ini. Instrument yang digunakan penelitian ini berupa soal tes yang terdiri dari soal uraian yang berjumlah 3 soal yang masing-masing soalnya terdapat beberapa soal lagi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik ANOVA dua jalur, dan terlebih dahulu dilakukan analisis statistik deskriptif dan uji prasyarat analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1) Penggunaan Model Number Head Together (NHT) Efektif terhadap hasil belajar siswa, 2) Penggunaan Media Video pembelajaran tidak begitu Efektif Terhadap Hasil belajar Siswa, dan 3) Penggunaan Model Number Head Together (NHT) dan Media Video Pembelajaran Efektif terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar dan keaktifan siswa pada materi turunan fungsi aljabar.In general, students had difficulty in solving problems regarding the derivative material of algebraic functions because they did not understand clear and correct concepts, and made them not optimal in learning and had an impact on student learning outcomes.  This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of the Number Head Together (NHT) model and the use of Learning Videos on student learning outcomes in the Algebraic Function Derivative material in class XI of SMA Negeri 5 Tual. This type of research is an experimental study with a 2x2 level factorial design with three variables, namely the NHT learning model, learning videos, and student learning outcomes. The population in this study were all students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 5 Tual totaling 64 students and 64 students were the sample in this study. The instrument used in this research is in the form of test questions consisting of 3 questions, each of which contains several questions. Data analysis used two-way ANOVA technique, and first descriptive statistical analysis and analysis prerequisite tests were performed. The results showed that: 1) The use of the Number Head Together (NHT) model was effective on student learning outcomes, 2) the use of instructional video media was not very effective on student learning outcomes, and 3) the use of the number head together (NHT) model and learning video media Effective on student learning outcomes. The results showed that there was an increase in student learning outcomes and activity in the derivative material of algebraic functions.

Abstract

The teacher frequently asks questions in the form of algorithms without challenging the student to think at a higher level and nearly never gives daily questions. As can be observed, some teachers have not done competency assessments and hence do not require pupils to accomplish specific competencies. The purpose of this project is to create school collaboration worksheets and examine student responses to these problems, with the goal of implementing learning through the Lesson Study for Learning Community (LSLC) method. This study employs a qualitative approach and a design research method. Design research is divided into two stages: development research and design research. The study's subjects were seventh-grade pupils from SMPN 1 Merauke. This investigation culminated in the development of worksheets on direct comparisons and integers. According to the results of the examination of students' responses to the LKS, some students were able to solve problems effectively, indicating that this LKS was legitimate and useful for use

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan dari hasil belajar kognitif matematika antara kelompok siswa yang mendapatkan perlakuan pembelajaran dengan kelompok siswa menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 56 siswa kelas III MIM Gonilan Kartasura Kabupaten Sukoharjo Tahun Ajaran 2021/2022. Sampel penelitian yang digunakan yaitu 56 siswa terdiri dari 28 siswa (kelas eksperimen) dan 28 siswa (kelas kontrol). Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah total sampling. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis stastistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial (uji T sampel independen). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar hasil belajar kognitif matematika antara kelompok siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran STAD berbantuan media congklak dan kelompok siswa menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional (t hitung = 3,426 > t tabel = 2,021). Rata-rata hasil belajar matematika kelompok eksperimen adalah pre-test 75.36 dan post-test 90.36 lebih besar dari kelompok kontrol adalah pre-test 73.57 dan post-test 79.64. Terlihat dari t hitung 3,426 lebih besar dari t tabel 2,021. Hal ini berarti dari t hitung > t tabel sehingga H0 ditolak atau Ha diterima sehingga model pembelajaran STAD berbantuan media congklak ini berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar kognitif matematika siswa kelas III.

Abstract

The background of this research is the importance of involving technology in the learning process. This study aims to see teachers’ interests, beliefs, and teaching processes using Adobe Premiere Pro software to categorize teachers’ professionalism. Furthermore, this study also describes the relationship between interests, beliefs, and the teaching process of teachers. This type of research is qualitative research with a case study method. 19 (nineteen) teachers from 11 (eleven) junior high schools in Padang, Indonesia were selected as research subjects. The research process has a reasonably long duration. At the beginning of the study, teachers were given the training to develop learning videos using Adobe Premiere Pro software. This software was chosen because it is challenging to use and is considered suitable as a medium for developing teacher digital literacy. The training was carried out in 5 meetings. The training is carried out by experts in their fields, from getting to know the tools to video rendering. Afterward, the teachers were given a questionnaire to determine their interest in the training. In addition, teachers are given open-ended questions to see teachers' beliefs in using technology in learning. The final stage of this research is to observe learning using observation sheets. This study found three types of teachers using technology: Technologically advanced teachers, technologically routine teachers, and technologically naive teachers. Technologically advanced teachers believe that technology plays an essential role in learning. Technologically routine teachers are teachers who sometimes use technology in the learning process, and technologically naive teachers are teachers who do not use technology in the learning process.

Abstract

AbstrakKemampuan numerasi merupakan salah satu kemampuan dasar individu yang dibutuhkan dalam bidang matematika di kehidupan sehari-hari. Kemampuan numerasi menjadi salah satu kemampuan yang diukur dalam Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum (AKM) yaitu bagian dari Asesmen Nasional (AN). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan numerasi siswa SMP dalam menyelesaikan soal tipe AKM. Penelitian yang menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif ini dilaksanakan di SMPN 1 Bungkal pada kelas VII E dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui tes dan wawancara. Empat siswa dengan kemampuan komunikasi baik berdasarkan rekomendasi guru dan memenuhi indikator kemampuan numerasi dipilih sebagai subjek wawancara. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah reduksi, penyajian, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kompetensi numerasi subjek termasuk dalam tingkat dasar. Subjek belum mampu menggunakan berbagai macam angka atau simbol yang terkait dengan matematika dasar pada soal tipe AKM numerasi sebab subjek kurang teliti dalam melakukan operasi hitung dasar. Subjek belum mampu menganalisis informasi yang ditampilkan dalam berbagai bentuk (grafik, tabel, bagan, diagram dan lain sebagainya) dikarenakan tiga dari empat subjek dapat menjelaskan maksud data yang disajikan, namun belum mampu menganalisis informasi yang diperoleh dari data. Tiga dari empat subjek mampu menafsirkan hasil analisis permasalahan untuk memprediksi dan mengambil keputusan dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan soal tipe AKM numerasi. AbstractThis research aims to describe the numerical ability of Junior High School students in solving Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) types. This research is research with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted at SMPN 1 Bungkal in class VII E. The data gathering techniques used in this research are test and interview methods. All students of class VII E were given a numeracy ability test using AKM type questions. Furthermore, four students were taken as interview subjects who had good communication skills based on the teacher's recommendations and who met the indicators of numeracy ability. Data analysis used in this research is data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of this research indicate that the subject's level of numerical competence is included in the basic level. The subject has not been able to use various kinds of numbers or symbols related to basic mathematics in numeration AKM type questions because the subject is not thorough in carrying out basic arithmetic operations. Subjects have not been able to analyze the information presented in various forms (graphs, tables, charts, diagrams and so on) because three of the four subjects can explain the purpose of the data presented, but have not been able to analyze the information obtained from the data. Three of the four subjects were able to interpret the results of the problem analysis to predict and make decisions in solving numeric AKM type questions.

Abstract

Konsep peluang merupakan konsep dasar yang perlu dipahami oleh siswa karena pemahaman konsep tersebut akan terus digunakan pada jenjang selanjutnya. Namun, masih banyak siswa yang mengalami hambatan dalam mempelajari topik tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis hambatan belajar (learning obstacle) siswa pada materi konsep peluang. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi yang melibatkan 22 siswa SMP kelas IX dan 24 siswa SMA kelas X di dua sekolah di Kabupaten Wonosobo, Jawa Tengah, Indonesia. Pengumpulan data menggunakan triangulasi dengan pemberian tes diagnostik, wawancara guru dan siswa, serta analisis buku ajar yang digunakan (analisis dokumen). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami hambatan belajar dimana kurangnya ketertarikan siswa terhadap materi konsep peluang, ketidaksiapan siswa berkaitan dengan hal teknis yang bersifat kunci dari proses pembelajaran seperti ruang sampel dan titik sampel, dan siswa masih kesulitan dalam menguasai konsep prasyarat himpunan, yaitu kesulitan memahami dalam mendaftarkan anggota suatu himpunan (ontogenic obstacle). Hambatan lain yang dialami siswa yaitu, banyaknya miskonsepsi siswa pada penyelesaian permasalahan terkait konsep peluang (epistemological obstacle) serta alur pembelajaran yang belum sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan karakteristik siswa (didactical obstacle). Hambatan-hambatan tersebut harus dipertimbangkan dalam pengembangan desain didaktik yang lebih optimal untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang diharapkan. The concept of probability is a basic concept that students need to understand because this concept will continue to be used at the next level. However, many students still have obstacles in learning this topic. This study aims to identify and analyze student learning obstacles in the concept of probability. The method used is qualitative research method with phenomenological approach involving twenty two 9th grade students and twenty four 10th grade  students in two school in Wonosobo Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. Data collection uses triangulation by giving diagnostic tests, teacher and student interviews, and analysis of the textbooks used (document analysis). The results showed that students have learning obstacle which there was a lack of student interest in the concept of probability, students' unpreparedness related to key technical matters of the learning process such as sample space and sample points, and students still have difficulty mastering the concept of sets, they have difficulty writing members of a sets (ontogenic obstacle). Another obstacle is the number of misconceptions in solving problems of probability (epistemological obstacle) and the learning trajectory that is not in accordance with the needs and characteristics of students (didactical obstacle). These learning obstacles must be considered in the development of a more optimal didactical design to achieve the expected learning objectives.

Abstract

The problem of this research is the low mathematical communication skills of students in integral calculus courses. The purpose of this study was to develop a learning model based on Mathematical Communication skills on integral concepts and applications, and to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of learning models based on Mathematical Communication skills on integral concepts and applications. This research method is a research and development method. The research subjects were 43 students of the Mathematics Education Department at Halu Oleo University. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews and test techniques. Data analysis was carried out in a quantitative and qualitative descriptive manner. The results of the data analysis showed that the integral concept and application learning materials based on the assessment of mathematics learning experts and learning design experts reached 86.3% and 89.16% in the very good category. While the results of the student assessment showed 87.5%. The small group evaluation results showed an average percentage of 88.2% with a very good category. The results of the large group trial reached a percentage value of 90.1% in the very good category. Therefore, the development of a learning model is able to improve students' mathematical communication skills on integral concepts and applications

Abstract

This study aims to produce pop-up book media based on problem-solving in fractions in 4th grade of Elementary School that meet valid criteria and deserve to be developed. This research uses a development method that makes certain products and tests the effectiveness of these products. The development model used is the ADDIE model. Sampling used a random sampling technique with instruments in the form of media feasibility validation questionnaires given to 5 validators consisting of 3 expert validators and 2 Mathematics teachers. Based on the research and development results, problem-solving-based pop-up book learning media on fractional material developed through the ADDIE development model obtained an average feasibility percentage of 93.90%. At the same time, problem-solving-based pop-up book media that has been applied to students shows that 88.72% of students are happy with the learning.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika tingkat SMK pada era teknologi yang dinamis wajib memberikan dasar pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang kuat dalam mengembangkan kompetensi keahlian peserta didik untuk beradaptasi dalam dunia kerja dengan cepat dan cakap, sehingga pentingnya pembelajaran matematika yang mengintegrasikan sains, teknologi, teknik, art, dan matematika (STEAM) dengan model pembelajaran project based learning (PjBL). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan produk berupa modul ajar matematika materi kuantor berbasis STEAM PjBL untuk membantu guru matematika yang memiliki  kesulitan dalam membuat modul ajar matematika berbasis STEAM PjBL sebagai pedoman guru dalam pembelajaran matematika yang sesuai kebutuhan dan karakteristk peserta didik SMK TKJ. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian Research and Development (R & D) model ADDIE. Penelitian menggunakan instrumen lembar validasi ahli materi, ahli bahasa, dan ahli kegrafikan untuk menguji kevalidan, instrumen angket pengguna yaitu seorang guru matematika dan 6 siswa untuk menguji kelayakan, dan instrumen soal pretest dan posttest untuk menguji keefektifan modul ajar menggunakan uji normalitas gain dengan sampel penelitian sejumlah 15 siswa kelas XI TKJ (Teknik Komputer Jaringan). Hasil penelitian ini adalah Penilaian para ahli mendapatkan rata-rata persentase sebesar 87,9% (sangat valid), Hasil uji kelompok kecil sebesar 92,6% (sangat layak), Hasil uji kelompok besar diperoleh 79,4% (efektif). Modul ajar matematika materi kuantor berbasis STEAM PjBL terbukti sangat valid, layak dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa peserta didik SMK TKJ.
