Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore and analyze simultaneous and partial influence of discipline, work motivation, and competency on the performance of teachers. Population in this research consists of 86 certified teachers in 12 public vocational schools in Donggala Regency; 56 teachers from 3 schools selected as sample with census sampling technique. Tool of analysis used is multiplelinear regressions. Simultaneous and partial significantly have influence on teacher’s perfoemance in public vocational schools in Donggala. The results show that the variation in the variables of teacher’s performance in public vocational schools in Donggala Regency can be explained by the variable discipline, work motivation and competency.

Abstract

Local governments should be able to prioritise the sub-sector and the preferred crop, prime and which is considered as a sub-sector basis to optimise the economic advantages in the region. Understanding the development planning priorities and commodity sub-sector of agricultural  in Tolitoli Regency, then it is necessary to acknowledge which the prime subsector of agricultural sector and the main commodity of agricultural sector in Tolitoli Regency. The research was conducted in the period 2014 - 2015 by several methods of analysis: 1) Location Quotient, 2) Analytical Hierarchy Procces (AHP) 3) Exponential Comparative Method /MPE. The criteria used is based on 12 normative criteria of  the Indonesian  Ministry of  Home Affair,  Number 9, 2014. The results show that the plantation sub-sector  is the only sector basis  in the period 2009-2014 of the survey with the value of LQ=1,3694 or LQ>1. Similarly, the plantation subsector is nominated as the prime subsector in Tolitoli regency with weight priority value of  0,2927. In addition, the cloves commodity is the most popular commodity in Tolitoli Regency with the MPE total weight of 13,1416, and this commodity is nominated  as commodity basis with the LQ value of 13,5754. It is understandable because this area has long been well known as cloves plantations.

Abstract

This research aims at answering the related problem of the activities of law implementation numbered 35 in the year of 2009 about the drug in Palu town. The method of the research applied was the quantitative descriptive through data collection techniques of structured observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentations. The informant selective technique used was purposive sampling of 50 informants. The results of the research The results of the research indicate that the effectivities of the law implementation numbered 35 in the year of 2009 has not been adequate with several factors that influence it like: (1) the Law material of number 35 in the year 2009 has accommodated the drug criminal act but in fact, the drug criminal act still takes place constantly and aggressively in the field, (2) Facilities and infrastructures in exterminating the drug in Palu town have not been still adequate, and they need a special addition relating to the informational technology, and (3) the law enforcement quality and drug extermination are still minus, and communities’ awareness understanding of drug danger less helps the law enforcement. Based on the above fact, a conclusion could be drawn that the implementation of the laws numbered 35 in the years 2009 in Palu town has not been optimal yet. Therefore, the communities’ awareness of drug danger is still low that arouses many misuses of drug in Palu town.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to examine and analyze the implementation of The Indonesian Broadcasting Commission’s authority in monitoring the campaign broadcast of the presidential election in 2014, as well as to find out the effectiveness of sanctions for violations of campaign broadcast of the Presidential election in 2014. The method of the research is empirical juridical through data collection techniques are primary and secondary data. The conclusions can be drawn are (1) The authority of The Indonesian Broadcasting Commission, in carrying out monitoring function of The Campaign Broadcast of The Presidential Election in 2014 have been reduced and deliberately weakened by The government, indicated with several times of judicial review of The Broadcasting Act, in particular matters related with the authority of The Indonesian Broadcasting Commission in monitoring the broadcast campaign. (2) In imposing sanctions, The Indonesian Broadcasting Commission is only allowed to give a written warning or to reduce the duration of the program rather than the revocation of the broadcast. Although, the violations had crossed the line, The Indonesian Broadcasting Commission is only entitled to provide recommendation to The Ministry of Communication and Information to evaluate the license of broadcasters, whether extended or revoked. Therefore, researcher suggests such things : (1) The role and authority of The Indonesian Broadcasting Commission must be further strengthened by The Act No. 32 Year 2002 on broadcasting, concerning about strict sanctions to broadcasters who violate The Campaign Broadcast of the next Presidential Election in 2019. (2) The government must revise and confirm the regulation about the practice of conglomeration and monopoly of broadcasting enterprise in Indonesia so that objectivity can be maintained in accordance with the order of the national broadcasting as contained in Pancasila and The 1945 Constitution.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the librarian services contained in the Library, Archives and Documentation Central Sulawesi Province. Literature review in this study, namely, Reference Services, Attention To The Public, and Solutions. This research uses qualitative descriptive method. The location of research at the National Library and Documentation Archive of Central Sulawesi Province. Selection of informants using two methods, namely purposive or sampling technique with a certain consideration, as well as accidential which is a technique that is based on chance or encountered anyone who by chance met with investigators. Selection of informants by purposive priority of service providers in this regard Librarian at the Library, Archives and Documentation Central Sulawesi Province, while public service users, in this case by way of accidential pemustaka. Data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation. In this study, researchers used the analytical techniques interpretation. Engineering analysis approach is to bring up what it means or meaning of the problems, cases, circumstance, or situation under study. Based on the results of the study showed that the public service at the Library, Archives and Documentation Central Sulawesi Province of the indicator a) Reference Service, not run as expected, while the indicator b). Against the public's attention  c). Solutions can be categorized either. Abstract

Curbing livestock is an attempt to make the control of the maintenance of livestock are not grounded and live roam in public places. The aim of research to uncover why the policy of curbing livestock in the district Parigi Parigi district Moutong not implemented effectively and efficiently?. This type of research is used qualitative selection techniques and the number of informants purposively selected informants 8 people. The theory used evaluation model William N Dunn with aspects: effectiveness, efficiency, adequacy, grading, responsiveness and accuracy. The results showed that the evaluation policy Animal Control in Sub Parigi Parigi district Moutong not deliver maximum results for its implementation has not been effective due to a lack of socialization and animal enforcement activities since the issuance of the regulations in 2005; inefficient due to the lack of operational funds allocated adequate control of cattle in each of the implementing agencies; but from the aspect of responsiveness and accuracy of that where regulation is appropriate and highly expected by the community because of the benefits that can be perceived by the public.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the performance of employees in providing academic services to students. The concept used in this study to examine determinants of employee performance based Theory Handoko namely Efficiency and Effectiveness. This study used a technique informants purposively selecting the number of informants set at 6 Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the performance in providing academic services to students Mathematics and Natural viewed from the aspect of efficiency include the understanding and control of the task is not yet fully understood, while the effectiveness seen aspects of the service provided is still not maximized evidenced by the presence of complaints from students due to the unfamiliarity of employees. While the factors inhibiting the performance of employees in academic services are; a culture which is reflected in the behavior of employees, measured from the internal side of employee work ethic, motivation, discipline and the level of dependence of employees on the leadership which is still very high and the external side of the employee interaction pattern that exists in providing services professional

Abstract

Abstract The study intends to seek and analyze simultaneous and partial influence of transformational leadership style, motivation, and organizational citizenship behavior on employees’ performance at PT. Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, The Main Office of Palu. The study involves 80 personnel of PT. Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, The Main Office of Palu as respondents. Method of analysis used is explanatory research with Multiple Linear Regressions. The results show that transformational leadership style, motivation, and organizational citizenship behavior simultaneously and partially have significant influence on employees’ performance at PT. Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, The Main Office of Palu.

Abstract

This study aims to 1) analyze the influence of venture capital, working hours, long selling and business locations simultaneously against income market traders Instruction Manonda Palu, 2) analyze the influence of venture capital, working hours, long selling and business location partially on income trader Instruction market Manonda Palu. This research was conducted in the city of Palu, by taking the Presidential Manonda market location which is managed by the Department Perindakop Palu City. This research technique of determining informant set 93 merchants. Data analysis tool used is multiple regression with SPSS 16. The method used is qualitative method that describes the state of the research field. Manonda Presidential Market Dealer profiles are classified by age are generally aged 19 to 50 years, based on religion generally are Muslims, ethnic generally Kaili and Bugis tribe, by region of origin generally derived from Palu city and surrounding region. The results of  this study showed that the relationship between the variables based on the results of multiple regression analysis, simultaneous factor of capital, working hours, working time, and location of the business significantly affect the earnings of traders. Partial variable capital, working hours, working time and location of the business showed a significant effect on the income market traders Instruction Manonda Palu.

Abstract

This study aims at determining the motivation, ability and opportunity in the Employee Performance Supervision Results at Inspectorate Office, Sigi Regency. This research is a case study with a qualitative approach. The location and the key informants of this research were chosen purposively. The data were analyzed in stages based on the information obtained through observations, interviews and documentations. The results show that from the three indicators proposed by the Robbins theory in relation to supervision namely, motivation, capability, and opportunity, the employees’ motivation and capability have run effectively but opportunity. The aspect of motivation runs appropriately in which the employees motivate and support each other in supporting the success of monitoring activities. At the aspect of capability, the employees’ could carry out the follow-up monitoring on time because the employees in secretariat section have the considerable ability and experience to carry out the activities. The aspect of opportunity did not run well, it can be seen from the lack of opportunity given by the leader to the employees of secretariat section in Inspectorate Office, Sigi district, for limited funds.
