Abstract

Abstract. Soluble proteins extracted from 3 species of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, S. trifoliorum and S. minor were separated on polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The three species of Sclerotinia could be distinguished by their protein patterns.Ringkasan. Ekstrak protein dari Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, S. trifiliorum dan S. Minor, sebagai jamur penyebab penyakit sayur-sayuran, telah dapat dipisahkan dengan cara "polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis". Berdasarkan pola-pola protein yang dibentuk, maka ketiga species tersebut dapat dibedakan, walaupun masih ada beberapa protein yang homolog yang dipunyai oleh ketiga species tersebut.

Ringkasan. Pabrik baja tulangan tumbuh dengan pesat di Indonesia. Di dalam studi ini dipelajari tentang efisiensi penggunaan energi dari pabrik-pabrik tersebut. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa makin tinggi kapasitas pabrik makin hemat pemakaian energinya. Di samping itu ditemukan pula bahwa penyediaan energy untuk pabrik-pabrik tersebut terlalu tinggi.Abstract. Mini roll steel mills are growing very fast in Indonesia. In this work the efficiency of energy utilization in those factories are studied and it was found that the energy utilization is more efficient for the factory which has higher capacity. 0n the other hand it was discovered that the energy reserved for those factories was too high for their capacities.

Abstract

Ringkasan. Telah diteliti pengaruh Endoxan-Asta (cyclophosphamide) terhadap pertumbuhan embryo ayam dengan jalan menyuntikkannya ke dalam kantung yolk pada umur 4 dan 5 hari inkubasi. Didapatkan, bahwa dosis teratogenic adalah 0.04 mg per telur. Malformasi yang ditimbulkannya adalah: gelembung meliputi mata, kelopak mata yang tidak tumbuh dengan sempurna, mata yang tidak tumbuh samasekali, paruh dengan sisi lateral yang bercelah, paruh bawah atau paruh atas yang pendek, paruh menyilang, micromelia, syndactyli, ectrodactyli, ectopia viscerum, exencephali dan "cleft palate". Selain itu Endoxan-Asta berpengaruh menghambat pertumbuhan pada umumnya. Abstract. The influence of Endoxan-Asta (Cyclophosphamide) on the development of chick embryos has been investigated by injecting the substance into the yolk sac of 4 and 5 days incubated eggs. It was found that 0.04 mg Endoxan-Asta per egg is a teratogenic dose. Malformations obtained during the investigation were: bulb over the eye, eyelids not well developed, undeveloped eyes, cleft on the lateral sides of upper beak, short upper or lower beak, crossed beak, micromelia, syndactyly, ectrodactyly, ectopia viscerum, exencephaly and cleft palate. Besides that, Endoxan-Asta caused stunted growth.

Abstract

Ringkasan. Tulisan ini melaporkan hasil akumulasi Nitrogen tanah di bawah pohon Casuarina glauca dan C. littoralis dan sebagai bandingan di bawah pohon Banksia serrata di dalam ekosistim yang sama. Walaupun nilai jumlah akumulasi Nitrogen tanah di bawah pohon C. glauca dan C. littoralis rendah (di bawah 0.1 persen) ternyata ada perbedaan yang nyata antara kerapatan dan kepadatan vegetasi dibawahnya kalau dibandingkan dengan di bawah pohon B. serrata yang mempunyai nilai akumulasi Nitrogen tanah antara 0.0311-030523 persen.Abstract. This paper, reports the measurement results of soil Nitrogen accumulation value under the Casuarina glauca and, C. littoralis trees and as a comparation under the Banksia serrata trees of the some ecosystem. Though total soil Nitrogen accumulation value under the Casuarinaglauca and C. littoralis trees are low (under 0.1 percent) there is a wide difference in density and coverage of vegetation under the Banksiaserrata trees which have a soil Nitrogen value between 0.0311-0.0523 percents.

Abstract

Abstract. An electron microscope study has been done on the structure of septum and its associations of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum (Lib.) de Bary. This septum consists of a cross-wall containing two electron-dense layers separated by an electron-transparent central lamella. The central pore in the cross-wall is partially to completely blocked by cell inclusions called Woronin bodies, which are electron-dense and membrane-bound. Ringkasan. Pengamatan jamur penyebab penyakit tumbuhan, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum (Lib.) de Bary dengan menggunakan mikroskop elektron telah dikerjakan dalam laporan ini, terutama sekali mengenai dinding melintang dari pada hypha dan benda-benda sel lainnya yang selalu berhubungan erat sekali dengan celah di antara dinding melintang, yang disebut "Woronin bodies". Dinding melintang, tediri dari tiga lapis, yaitu dua lapis yang banyak menerima electron (electron-dense layers) dan dibagian tengahnya dipisahkan oleh selapis bagian yang tembus cahaya (electron-transparent central lamella). Celah pada dinding melintang sering sekali disumbat oleh "Waronin bodies".

Abstract

RIngkasan. Dalam tahun 1971 di daerah Cagar Alam Telaga Patengan telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai macam makanan, bentuk morfologi, aktifitas dan keadaan lingkungan bagi Rana chalconota dan R. nicobariensis. Disusun pula "checklist" Amphibia yang terdapat di daerah tersebut Analisa isi lambung memperlihatkan bahwa masing-masing katak menyukai jenis serangga yang menempati habitat sama dengan katak pemangsanya.Abstract. Studies on the feeding habits, morphology, activity and environmental condition at Rana chalconota and R. nicobariensis were carried out in 1971 at Telaga Patengan Nature Reserve. A checklist of Amphibia of the studied area is also presented. Analyses of the stomach contents show that each frog feed on insects which are found in the same habitat of respective frog.

Abstract

Abstract. The multiplication problem for spheres is to determine which spheres in Euclidean space Sn-1 -"º En permit a continuous multiplication. This paper presents the topological K-theory proof that it is only possible when n = 1, 2, 4, and 8. These cases correspond to S0 -"º E1, S1 -"º E2, S3 -"º E4, and S7 -"º E8 where the multiplications are given respectively by the real numbers, complex numbers, quaternions, and Cayley numbers.  Ringkasan. Masalah pendarapan bagi bola adalah masalah untuk menentukan bola-bola dalam Ruang Euclid Sn-1 -"º En  membenarkan suatu pendarapan yang kontinu. Tulisan ini menyampaikan bukti teori K topologi bahwa hanya dapat terjadi abila n = 1, 2, 4, dan 8. Kasus ini bersesuaian dengan S0 -"º E1, S1 -"º E2, S3 -"º E4, dan S7 -"º E8 di mana pendarapan-pendarapan diberikan oleh bilangan-bilangan riil, kompleks, kuaternion, dan bilangan Cayley.

Abstract

Ringkasan. Genus Micromonospora termasuk salahsatu genera dari Actinomycetales yang kurang dikenal. Kehidupannya umum secara mesofilik dan termofilik, dan ditemukan di dalam tanah, air, pupuk-kandang dan kompos. Tulisan ini akan melaporkan potensi daya antibiotika dari Micromonospora yang diukur berdasarkan sifat antagonismanya terhadap bakteria.  Abstract. The genus Micromonospora belongs to one of the least-known genera of the Actinomycetales. It comprises both mesophilic and thermophilic forms and is found in soils, in water, in manure and in composts. The present paper reports on antibiotic potential of Micromonosporaas measured by its antagonism against bacteria.
