Abstract

The waste bank is one of the methods used by the Government of Sleman Regency, DIY, to solve the waste problem. However, citizen participation to be active as customers in the waste bank is still lacking. For this reason, a study was conducted to find out what factors affect the level of activity of citizens in depositing waste into the waste bank. The research uses The Theory of Planned Behavior, coupled with factors: knowledge of how and what and knowledge of consequences. Data was collected through interviews with several bank administrators and customers and filling out the questionnaire. Respondents were selected by purposive sampling from 11 waste banks. The analysis method uses multiple linear regression by testing the significance of the regression model, the coefficient of determination, and the partial effect test of each variable. The results showed that attitudes, subjective norms, contr, knowledge of how and what, and knowledge of consequences simultaneously affected 73% of the intention. Among the five independent variables, only the perceived behavioral control has no partial effect. The study also showed that the intention had a significant effect on the waste bank's active behavior with a coefficient of determination of 63%.

Abstract

Spare parts support is essential for rolling stock maintenance management. The current supplier selection model determines the selected supplier based on evaluating one aspect of the criteria (product aspect). The selection of suppliers with poor performance occurred between 2018-2020 related to the delivery of goods that exceeded the deadline and goods that did not meet specifications. The first objective of this research is to analyze and determine the relevant priority criteria for selecting suppliers of rolling stock spare parts for railway companies. The second objective is to determine the rolling stock spare parts supplier by using the evaluation criteria determined in the previous process. The method used in this research is the integration of the Fuzzy Delphi Method (FDM), Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), and Technique for Others Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solutions (TOPSIS). FDM is used to select important criteria for the selection of suppliers of rolling stock parts. AHP is used to assist in choosing various criteria through evaluation in determining the criteria's weight. TOPSIS is used to assess supplier ratings. A total of 13 criteria from 19 alternative criteria have been selected for railway companies, especially in selecting rolling stock spare parts suppliers. Furthermore, the selection becomes the basis for bidding. Finally, Supplier A is the supplier with the highest relative closeness value (0.591), followed by Supplier B (0.545), and the lowest is Supplier C (0.282).

Abstract

Sustainable Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are crucial to economic growth but face significant challenges in occupational safety and health (OSH). SMEs often lack the resources, expertise, and institutional support needed to manage OSH effectively, leading to higher rates of workplace accidents. This study addresses the lack of thematic synthesis and trend forecasting by offering a structured overview of the field's intellectual landscape. Using bibliographic coupling and co-word analysis, we identified key research themes, emerging trends, and influential studies. Data were collected from the Web of Science (WoS) Core Collection (1990 to 2024) yielding 552 initial records. After screening, 393 journal articles were analysed, with a total of 6,408 citations (6,181 excluding self-citations), an average of 16.31 citations per item and an H-index of 39. Applying a 30-citation threshold, 54 highly cited papers were subjected to bibliographic coupling, revealing six thematic clusters. The analysis indicates four prominent clusters: (1) the role of human resources in OSH programs, (2) health certifications and safety management systems, (3) employee perceptions of OSH efforts, and (4) the development of OSH models tailored to SMEs. Consequently, our findings demonstrate that OSH research in SMEs is steadily evolving toward more integrated, systematic management approaches. These insights suggest that enhancing OSH outcomes requires targeted strategies including strengthening human resource roles, adopting formal safety frameworks, emphasizing risk assessment and staff training, and implementing standardized practices fit for the SME context.

Abstract

Construction logistics are activities that consist of ordering, storage and transportation of materials of construction projects. Storage material is logistics activity that ensure the availability of materials in project site. Generally, material storage activities have been conducted at the project site. Logistics construction is aimed to support the project activities that the completion schedule has been set. Construction logistics issues is determining the schedule of ordering materials so that the project can be implemented on schedule. The purpose of research is to determine the optimum ordering period for the primary items on the main building structure construction and designing inventory control cards as a mechanism for monitoring procurement of materials. This research has been obtained optimal ordering period for the primary items of main building structure with elements of the work using Fixed Period Requirement method. Inventories were already meet the material requirement of each period. Material management has been conducted based grouping approach as many as 31 groups. In addition, this research has proposed the inventory control cards as an instrument for material procurement monitoring. The implications of inventory control cards are coordinate contracting parties with vendors to plan the replenishment  of materials to meet the work schedule. Further research can be developed with other aspects such as integrated material order system between contractors and vendors to consider the safety stock. In addition, the information system for planning material is an important consideration for construction projects with large scale so that the companies can plan primary items inventory and other materials in the projects completion more easily, quickly and accurately.

Abstract

A product can look like a system, which is something that still has room for consideration of revisions (evaluation). In the evaluation, value engineering is one technique that systematically by using the techniques of identification of the functions required, apply the values and develop alternatives that achieve the best functional balance between cost and performance of a system or product. In compos Mini Machine products, value engineering done to the component cost is quite high (grade A on the ABC classification). Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) is an important thing that needs to be calculated on the value engineering. The selected alternative for this article is the replacement of roofing material from metal plate to the plastic pulley with cost savings of 55%. Keywords: Value engineering, product evaluation, BCR

Abstract

The awarding of investment grade to Indonesian Stock Exchange marked an excellent development in the national capital market. This could be the key to attracting foreign investors that will further integrate the Indonesia capital market with international markets. Increasingly integrated capital market will also be more vulnerable to international issues such as the volatility of global stock indices as well as the volatility of world commodity prices (crude oil, CPO, gold etc.) as indicated by IHSG response to these issues. To minimize risk and maximize the return are the main goal of investment. Both of these two objectives can be achieved through stocks diversification and the portfolio development. Optimal portfolio requires the right stocks diversification. Therefore, investor needs to have information about which stocks are affected and unaffected by world commodity prices prior to diversifying. The goal of this research is to examine the way to form optimal portfolio from the group of companies listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange and affected by world commodity prices. Augmented Dickey Fuller (ADF) method used for stationary test of time series data and residual regression models. Regression Analysis conducted for co-integration test between commodity prices and IHSG. Error Correction Model used for correcting short-term errors. Optimal portfolio formed with Single Index Model and Treynor Index used to measure the optimal portfolio performance. Result of the study showed that gold, crude oil, platinum, rubber, corn, cotton, and Arabica coffee are the global commodities that can be used to predict the direction of IHSG movement.

Abstract

The Conventional Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) has the objective function of minimizing the total vehicles’ traveling distance. Since the fuel cost is a relatively high component of transportation costs, in this study, the objective function of VRP has been extended by considering fuel consumption minimization in the situation wherein the loading weight and traveling time are restricted. Based on these assumptions, we proposed to extend the route division procedure proposed by Kuo and Wang [4] such that when one of the restrictions can not be met the routing division continues to create a new sub-route to find an acceptable solution. To solve the formulated problem, the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm is proposed to optimize the vehicle routing plan. The proposed methodology is validated by solving the problem by taking a particular day data from a bottled drinking water distribution company. It was revealed that the saving of at best 13% can be obtained from the actual routes applied by the company.
